Abstract Soybeans (Glycine max (L) Merril) are important agricultural commodities in the supply of food, feed, and industrial raw materials. One effort to increase soybean crop productivity, it is necessary to use fertilizer as a source of nutrients. Fertilization has a positive effect on the growth and production of soybean plants. Compost fertilizer is organic fertilizer that is given into the soil can increase nutrients both macro and micro. In addition to the provision of compost fertilizer can also be added to the provision of urea fertilizer (as an inorganic fertilizer) which can provide N nutrients for plants. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of fertilizer (compost and urea) doses with varieties on the growth of soybean plants, and determine the best superior varieties of soybean growth. This study used factorial randomized block design (RBD), with a factor of 1 fertilizer dose, D0: control, D1: compost 5ton / ha, D2: compost 10 tons / ha, D3: urea 25 kg / ha, and D4: urea 50 Kg /Ha. Factor 2 is the variety with V1: Anjasmoro variety and V2: grobogan variety. The results showed that administration of compost and urea fertilizer can increase soybean plant growth, and also accelerate the flowering age of soybean plants. The grobogan variety has the fastest flowering age of 32.33 days compared to the anjasmoro variety. The role of compost and urea in research increases N elements available to plants

AbstractMorphological and Molecular of Identification Bactrocera sp. (Diptera: Tephritidae) in 5 Location of Red Guava Crops District Deli Serdang. Fruit flies are a concern in the world because they are an important pest in fruits. Seven species of fruit flies (Bactrocera carambolae, Bactrocera papayae, Bactrocera curcubitae, Bactrocera caudata, Bactrocera albistrigata, Bactrocera tau, Bactrocera umbrosa) have been identified from the morphological identification of fruit flies in LIPI. The fruit fly is obtained from trapping with methyl eugenol, cocoa waste processing, and a mixture of both. Found 2 species of parasitoid (Psytallia sp. near Walker; Psytallia sp. near Walkeri) from the rearing of fruit that was attacked at five locations of red guava plantation district Deli Serdang.Keywords : Bactrocera spp., morphology, atractant, parasitoid

Coconut milk is a food ingredient that is used to increase the taste of food and drinks. Coconut milk has processed products in the form of traditional drinks such as ice dawet and cendol ice. According to the Indonesian National Standard in 2009 about Maximum Microbial Contamination in Food in liquid coconut milk must be in accordance with the requirements of TPC parameters, MPN Coliform, Salmonella sp., and Staphylococcus aureus. This study aims to determine the description of Staphylococcus aureus contamination in traditional coconut milk in the Banjarbaru region. This type of research is a descriptive survey. The samples in this study were traditional drinks (es dawet and es cendol) that used coconut milk by using Purposive sampling techniques as many as 6 sellers who made 2 times taking, namely taking 1 hour (testing I) after processing and 2 hours after the first take (testing II) . From the research that has been done, it is found that there are 4 samples of Staphylococcus aureus contamination in 4 samples, namely 3 samples fulfilling the requirements of the Indonesian National Standard and 1 sample that does not meet the requirements of the Indonesian National Standard. It is expected for the seller to always maintain personal hygiene, pay attention to the cleanliness of drinks sold either during processing or serving, noting the cleanliness of the appliance and storing the ingredients of the drinks sold.
