Abstract

Assessment of Students' Attitudes towards Natural Sciences in Muaro Jambi District Junior High School. This study aims to determine the attitudes of junior high school students towards natural science subjects with three indicators adopted from TOSRA, namely 1) the normality of science scientists, 2) adoption of scientific attitudes, and 3) pleasure in learning science. The type of research used in this study is a type of survey research using quantitative research designs. This study was conducted in several junior high schools in Muaro Jambi Regency with a sample of 2815 students. The research sample was taken from 2 classes of class VII and VIII using total sampling technique in questionnaire distribution and purposive sampling for interviews. The results of the study of the three indicators show the dominant attitude in the good category. The normality of science scientists is in good category with a percentage of 52%. Adoption of scientific attitudes shows a good category with a percentage of categories 58.4%. The pleasure of learning science is well categorized with a percentage of 65.4%.

Abstract

This study purposed to investigate attitudes towards science in junior high school students,based on 2 attitude indicators: (1) enjoyment in science lesson & (2) leisure interestin science. In addition, measurements were also made regarding the relationship betweenthe two indicators of attitude. This research is survey research. The results of the datacame from an attitude questionnaire consisting of indicators (1) enjoyment in science lessonand (2) leisure interest in science. The sample consisted of 2815 junior high schoolstudents in Jambi Province, Indonesia. The results showed that for indicators: (1) enjoymentin science is good category with a percentage of 48.1%, (2) leisure interest in scienceis fairly good category with a value: 47.2% and This indicator leads to a positivetrend supported by a positive attitude with a greater good value: 38.4%, while for theanalysis of the correlation between the two indicators shows a positive correlation with asig: 0,000 (<0.05) and has a strong degree of correlation indicated by the value "PearsonCorrelation": 0.716. Therefore, it is concluded overall attitudes towards science at Juniorhigh school students in Jambi, Indonesia have a positive attitude and are categorizedwell.

Abstract

Abstrak:Sikap adalah ekspresi menerima (sikap positif) ataupun menolak (sikap negatif) suatu objek. Analisis sikap terhadap IPA merupakan penilaian siswa terhadap IPA, sehingga akan diketahui apakah siswa tersebut memiliki sikap positif atau sikap negatif terhadap IPA. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan sikap siswa berdasarkan tiga indikator sikap siswa terhadap IPA. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa angket dan wawancara. Sampel pada penelitian ini berjumlah 2815 siswa/i SMP Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implikasi sosial dari mata pelajaran IPA menunjukkan kategori sangat baik yang mencapai hingga 53,2%, sedangkan kesenangan dalam belajar IPA menunjukkan kategori baik dengan persentase 48,1%, serta ketertarikan berkarir di bidang IPA berkategori cukup dengan persentase sebesar 41,8%. Secara umum hasil penelitian mengindikasikan bahwa sikap siswa di SMP berkategori baik, karena ketiga indikator yang diukur menunjukkan kategori baik yang menunjukkan sikap positif.Abstract:Attitude is an expression of accepting (positive attitude) or rejecting (negative attitude) of an object. Attitude Analysis towards natural sciences (IPA) was the students' assessments on Natural Sciences to know whether the students had a positive attitude or a negative attitude towards Natural Sciences. This study aimed to describe the students? attitude towards Natural Sciences based on three indicators. This study was survey research using questionnaire and interview as instruments. The sample in this study consisted of 2815 students of junior high school in Muaro Jambi Regency. The results of the study showed that the social implications of Natural Science subject showed very good categories reaching up to 53.2%, while the interest in learning Natural Sciences showed good categories with a percentage of 48.1%, and career interest of natural science was adequate with a percentage of 41.8%. In general, the results of this study indicated that the attitude of the students in senior high school was categorized good because the three indicators showed good categories that indicated positive attitude.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul pada materi momentum dan impuls dan mengetahui persepsi siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan yang menggunakan model Borg dan Gall. Tahapan penelitian meliputi potensi dan masalah, pengumpulan data, desain produk, validasi desain, revisi desain, ujicoba produk, revisi produk dan produk akhir. Subjek uji coba penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMA N 11 Muaro Jambi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket validasi media dan materi serta angket persepsi siswa. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif. E-modul yang dikembangkan tediri dari cover modul, peta kedudukan modul, kegiatan pembelajaran per sub bab dengan contoh dan latihan soal serta tes formatif akhir, memuat materi, video, animasi, simulasi. Hasil validasi ahli media dan materi masing-masing sebesar 3.68 dan 3.1 dengan kategori&nbsp; baik. Hasil analisis persepsi siswa diperoleh skor rata-rata indikator keseluruhan adalah 3.45 yang dikategorikan baik.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to see the perceptions of students in the Basic Physics II practical guide based on mobile learning. The study used quantitative methods with descriptive analysis. The instruments used were perception questionnaires and interview sheets. The results of the perceptions of students in the biology education study program are categorized as good with a percentage of 58.62% and in the mathematics education study program it is categorized as good with a percentage of 50%. From the data, it is known that the basic learning practice guide II based on mobile learning can support the learning process and practicum.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat persepsi mahasiswa pada penuntun praktikum Fisika Dasar II berbasis mobile learning. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa angket persepsi dan lembar wawancara. Hasil persepsi mahasiswa pada program studi pendidikan biologi dikategorikan baik dengan persentase sebesar 58.62% dan pada program studi pendidikan matematika dikategorikan baik dengan persentase sebesar 50%. Dari data diketahui bahwa penuntun praktikum fisika dasar II berbasis mobile learning dapat mendukung proses pembelajaran dan praktikum.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran fisika SMA di Provinsi Jambi, serta kendala atau masalah yang dihadapi siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif kuantitatif yang menggunakan prosedur penelitian yaitu rancangan penelitian survei. Penelitian ini melibatkan 220 siswa SMA di Provinsi Jambi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket dengan teknik analisis data yaitu descriptive statistic untuk data kuantitatif menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil dari 3 indikator yang didiskusikan pada tulisan ini adalah indikator adopsi dari sikap ilmiah yaitu 47.3% siswa berkategori cukup baik. Indikator kesenangan dalam belajar fisika sebanyak 44.1% berkategori cukup baik. Indikator ketertarikan memperbanyak waktu belajar fisika sebesar 50.5% berkategori baik. The purpose of this study was to find out how the attitudes of students towards high school physics subjects in Jambi Province, as well as obstacles or problems faced by students. This type of research is quantitative qualitative which uses research procedures, namely survey research design. This study involved 220 high school students in Jambi Province. The instrument used was a questionnaire with data analysis techniques, namely descriptive statistics for quantitative data using descriptive statistics. The results of the 3 indicators discussed in this paper are indicators of adoption of scientific attitudes, namely 47.3% of students are categorized quite well. Indicators of pleasure in learning physics as much as 44.1% are categorized quite good. Indicator of interest in increasing physics learning time by 50.5% in good category.

Abstract

This study has the purpose of (1) How is the pedagogic competence of students of elementary school teacher education; (2) How is the science competency of elementary school teacher education students; (3) Is there a relationship between pedagogic competence and science competence of elementary school teacher education students. The research method used in this study was a quantitative survey. Based on the results of the study, students' data obtained from elementary school teacher education for pedagogic competence and science competency fall into the unfavorable category with a pedagogic percentage of 67.9% and IPA of 63.52% and obtained data for the meaning of pedagogic efficiency (7.632), min 2.0), max (13.0) and standard deviation (2.2921) while for science competencies, the average (7.84), min (0), max (16) and standard deviation (2,773) and also between pedagogic competencies with natural science competencies produce 0,483 These figures reflect the variables of pedagogic competence with science competence because the value of r is below 0.5. Pedagogic competence with IPA competency obtained probability = 0,000 &lt;0,005, so there is a significant existence. Instead of offering a pedagogic with IPA competencies mark '*'. Means together with pedagogic competencies with IPA competencies have a significant relationship.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk pengembangan instrumen  penilaian sikap siswa terhadap mata pelajaran IPA. Instrumen yang dikembangkan berupa angket yang terbagi menjadi pernyataan positif dan pernyataan negatif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) atau umumnya dikenal dengan penelitian pengembangan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa SMPN Se-Kabupaten Muaro Jambi dengan menggunakan teknik purpossive sampling, maka sampel penelitian sebanyak 550 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan instrumen angket yang valid sebanyak 56 butir dari total 70 butir pernyataan, dengan nilai reliabilitas (cronbach alpha) sebesar 0,842.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika pada materi hukum termodinamika. Populasi penelitian ini ialah mahasiswa program studi pendidikan fisika universitas Jambi angkatan 2017. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan total sampling, jadi sampel penelitian ini yaitu seluruh mahasiswa pendidikan fisika universitas Jambi dengan total 91 mahasiswa di angkatan 2017. Indikator keterampilan proses yang diamati meliputi observasi, klasifikasi, membuat hipotesis, hubungan antar variabel, merencanakan percobaan, mengukur, memperoleh dan memproses data, analisis percobaan, komunikasi, serta kesimpulan.  Data keterampilan proses diukur melalui lembar observasi, pada saat praktikan  melakukan kegiatan praktikum hukum termodinamika. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini, keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa fisika bervariasi dari kategori baik seperti observasi42,85%, klasifikasi 36,26%, mengukur 37,36%, analisis percobaan 32,96%, serta merencanakan percobaan 42,85%, kesimpulan 54,94%, membuat hipotesis 51,54%, dan hubungan antar variabel 42,85%. Selanjutnya untuk kategori tidak baik seperti komunikasi 39,56%, serta  memperoleh dan memproses data 45,05%, Hasil ini menunjukkan mahasiswa belum menguasai keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pada beberapa indikator. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya buku panduan pratikum berbasis keterampilan proses untuk meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa melalui kegiatan praktikum.This study aims to describe the science process skills of students in physics education program on the subject matter of thermodynamic law. The population of this study is the students of physics education program at  Jambi University in 2017. The sampling technique using total sampling, so the sample of this study is all students of  physics education  program at Jambi university with a total of 91 students in 2017. The science process skills indicators observed to include observation, classification, hypothesized, relationships between variables, planning experiments, measuring, obtain and process data, experimental analysis, communication, and conclusions. Data science process skills was collected through observation sheets when the  practitioner conducts the practicum thermodynamic law. Data was  analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results of this study, science process skills of physics students varied from good categories such as observation 42.85%, classification 36.26%, measuring 37.36%, experimental analysis 32.96%, and planning experiments 42.85%, conclusions 54, 94%, hypothesized 51.54%, and the relationship between variables was 42.85%. Furthermore, for the bad category such as communication 39.56%, and obtaining and processing 45.05%. These results indicate that students have not mastered the students' science process skills on several indicators. Therefore, it necessary to have a science process skills based practicum guidebook to improve student science process skills through practicum activities.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berupa bahan ajar dalam bentuk modul elektronik dengan menggunakan aplikasi software 3D Pageflip Professional untuk siswa kelas V Sekolah Dasar. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&amp;D) yang mengadaptasi model pengembangan ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dalam penelitian ini pada angket Persepsi menperoleh frekuensi sebanyak 25 siswa dengan persentase 100% dalam kategori cukup. Untuk angket minat mendapatkan frekuensi sebanyak 20 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 80% dalam kategori baik. Sementara untuk angket motivasi diperoleh frekuensi sebanyak 25 siswa dengan persentase sebesar 100% dalam kategori baik. Dari data yang dihasilkan menunjukkan bahwa modul elektronik etnokontruktivisme berbasis software 3D Pageflip Professional yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dalam proses pembelajaran.
