Abstract

The banking industry in Indonesia facing a difficulty after the crisis and showing its performance.. This study aims to obtain empirical evidence about the effect of Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Loan Deposit Ratio (LDR), Operating Expenses to Operating Income (BOPO) and Net Interest Margin (NIM) to the Return On Assets (ROA) and determine the variabel that give the dominant influence on the annual report of conventional banks in Indonesia.The object of research is 41 conventional banks in Indonesia in assets listed on the Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) for the period 2010-2014 and the sample used in this research is secondary data from Return On Assets (ROA). This study used the purposive sampling method. The data analyses employed the use of multiple linear regression. The result from this study indicates that CAR and NIM has not significant influences on ROA. And then, LDR and BOPO has significant influence on ROA.

Abstract

Last 10 years, more than 50 papers and handbooks have been published on the topic of sustainable production and processing in the coffee commodity. Review process is used by desk study based on several scientific journals which are related to the topic. It was found by scientific publisher webs such as Scopus, Ebsco, Academia.edu, Researchgate, Portal Garuda, DOAJ and Google Scholar. Technically, sustainability was discussed at least 3 aspects, i.e. economic, social and ecology. In global growth, particularly a coffee commodity has been disturbing production which was caused by global warming, fair-trade and social conflict. On the other hand, dynamically there has been increasing of demand (export and local) due to lifestyle. Based on the fact, the realistic solution is needed on these matters. This study has done several articles reviewed and synthesized. The systematic of it’s through content analysis on that article and then clustered by a topic which assessed. The realistic solution complied based on economic, social and ecology aspects in a sustainable production and processing. Finally, we suggest several new techniques and products (downstream) which could be developed to reach the sustainability and processing of the coffee, especially cold-brew for new coffee product.Keywords: coffee, processing, state of the art, sustainable production

Abstract

Motor induksi adalah mesin listrik yang mengubah energi listrik menjadi energi mekanik. Motor induksi tiga phase tipe sangkar bajing banyak digunakan karena konstruksi yang sederhana dan perawatan yang mudah. Kendala operasi motor induksi ini adalah arus pengasutannya mencapai lima sampai tujuh kali arus nominal, sehingga diperlukan suatu metode pengasutan untuk mengatasi  hal tersebut. Metode soft starting pada penelitian ini memberikan tegangan input ke motor secara bertahap. Pemberian tegangan input diatur menggunakan triac yang ditrigger dengan mikrokontroler Atmega328. Rangkaian Soft starting digunakan pada saat pengasutan, dan motor terhubung secara langsung ke sumber tenaga ketika running. Penelitian ini menghasilkan modul soft starting untuk kapasitas motor 1 kW. Arus pengasutan dalam kondisi tanpa beban didapatkan 2.19 A, dan kondisi berbeban 5.80 A. Arus pengasutan tersebut masih lebih kecil dibandingkan dengan arus pengasutan secara langsung yaitu 6.59 A dalam kondisi tanpa beban, dan 8.61 A pada kondisi berbeban.   Kata Kunci : Motor Induksi Tiga Phase, Soft Starting, Triac, Mikrokontrroller ATMega328     ABSTRACT       Induction motors is an electrical machines that convert electrical energy into mechanical energy. Three  phase squirrel cage induction motor a widely used because it has a simple construction, and easy maintenance. Operating it?s problem is a starting currents that are five to seven times the nominal current. Therefore, we need a method to overcome this it.Soft starting method in this research is provides an input voltage to the motor gradually. Giving the input voltage is set using a triac triggered by the microcontroller ATmega328. Soft starting circuit is used at starting time, and the motor connected directly to the power source while it?s running.The result of  this research is soft starting module for 1kW motor capacity. Starting current in the no-load condition is 2.19 A, and 5.80 A on the load condition. Starting current is still smaller than the direct starting current is 6.59 A in the no-load condition, and 8.61 A on the load condition.
