Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this study was to development of worksheets topic energy in live for junior high school grade seven with scientific approach to improve science process skills. This study held on June until December 2014. This study conducted with assessment worksheet paper, respondent paper, and observation scientific process skills paper. The assessment worksheet paper consist of 27 items and is 4 aspects. The aspect are content expert, linguist, presentation expert, and to encourage students to learn and work scientifically. This study was conducted using method of Research and Development of model ADDIE. The result showed of the experts? assessment who developed products of content experts was very valid (M=3.53), linguist was very valid (M=3.48), presentation experts was very valid (M=3.51), and work scientifically was very valid (M=3.41). In addition for the scientific process skills students have achieved good category. That result indicated the product that has been developed worthy used in science teaching in schools and can improved science process skills.Key words: Scientific Approach; Science Process Skills; Development of Worksheet

Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted to find out the growth response of Cyperus kyllingia on soil contaminated with petroleum waste which used for handout design on growth material and development of XII SMA class which was conducted in November 2016 until February 2017. This research is descriptive quantitative research to know the response of Cyperus kyllingia that planted on soil contaminated with petroleum waste with different concentrations of Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon TPH, while handout design analysis was conducted in two stages, namely the analysis and design phase. Parameters used include degradation rate (%) TPH and vegetative growth of crops, ie shoot number, stem height, leaf length, wet weight and dry weight of plant. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that the Cyperus kyllingia plant was able to grow on contaminated soil of petroleum waste. The response of plants in the face of stress can be seen in vegetative growth in the form of growth of shoot number, stem height and leaf length. The higher the concentration of TPH on the soil the lower the growth rate. Cyperus kyllingia plant has the ability to degrade TPH with a percentage of 0.32-0.39%. The results can be developed into handouts on the growth and development for grade XII SMA.Key Word: Vegetative Growth, Cyperus kyllingia, Polluted Land, Handout.

Abstract

Abstract : The research has been conducted to determine The Local Wisdom of Duanu Tribe in the management of fishery resources (aquaculture) in the village of Panglima Raja, Indragiri Hilir Regency on April until May 2016. The reserch used to design a module unit of Biology with Biodiversity preservation concept in Senior High School, in two stages namely research or Experiment stage and design a module unit stage. In data collection used in depth interviews with snowball sampling technique to the key informant that is the head of tribe Duanu management in Desa Panglima Raja and Advisory Council of Tribe Duanu for Riau. Besides, the writer also used field observation method and documentation technique. The result of research showed there are some local wisdoms which possessed by tribe Duanu to manage fishery resources, among other are, 1) The planning stage, Tribe Duanu has wisdom in the use of fishing gear as well as the timing of taking the fishes. 2) The use, in this context Duanu communities utilize fishery resources of shrimp, fish, crabs and clams wisely. 3) The control, in this case Duanu tribe use abstinence forbids to preserve the marine keeper of the sea to protect the marine area and fishery resources. 5) The supervision, creating organization of advisor community groups formed by government institutions, in this case is the head of village and 6) The law enforcement by determining punishment for any violators of custom rules. However some customs such as sea semah ceremony and custom?s enforcement process of their ancestors had started in decline or in other words, began to disappear. The results of this research can be used as a material in designing biology module on the concept of biodiversity preservation.Key Words: Local Wisdom, Duanu Tribe, Snowball Sampling, Module Design

Abstract

Abstract: The research was conducted to determine the content of heavy metals Lead (Pb) and Cadmium (Cd) on Water River Sail Pekanbaru based bioindikator snails (Pomacea canaliculata) as module design concept of environmental pollution biology in high school performed in June 2014. Determination research station is purposive random sampling by considering the environmental conditions based on community activities around the river. The main parameters in this study include heavy metals Pb and Cd in river water, sediment and Pomacea canaliculata, and physico-chemical parameters as supporting parameters. Hasi study showed that the average content of heavy metals in river water Pb and Cd 0.26 ppm 0.16 ppm where the heavy metal content in the water has passed the threshold of 0,008 ppm and 0,001 ppm Pb untu to Cd. The average content of heavy metals in the sediment of 3.04 ppm Pb and Cd 0.08 ppm. While the average content of heavy metals Pb Pomacea canaliculata 0.73 ppm and 0.21 ppm Cd. Where the content of heavy metals contained in the sediments and Pomacea canaliculata has not crossed the threshold that has been set. Further results of the study of heavy metals Pb and Cd in river water, sediment and Anadara granosa that have been implemented will serve as a source in the preparation of the learning modules in high school.Keywords: Pomacea canaliculata, heavy metals Pb and Cd, water pollution, Biology Module

Abstract

Abstract : Research was conducted to determine the Local Wisdom Base Village Society Indarung resources management in a river in the village of Pangkalan Indarung, Kuantan District Subdistrict Singingi Singingi in April until the month of May 2016. The research used to design a modular unit at study Biology with the concept of Biodiversity Conservation in SMA, in two stages namely stage of research and design stage module unit. Collecting data using in-depth interviews with snowball sampling technique with key informants that indigenous leaders (Datuk Pudako Kayo) and village heads Indarung Base. Also used methods of observation and documentation techniques. The results showed there were some local knowledge possessed by the people of the village of Pangkalan Indarung resources management in river, among others, 1) The planning stage, the village of Pangkalan Indarung have wisdom in the use of fishing gear as well as the timing of harvesting. 2) The use, in this context, the villagers Pangakalan Indarung utilize the resources of the river in the form of fish wisely. 3) Control, in this case the Base Village community Indarung use the event starting reinforcements to preserve the resources of the river. 4) Maintenance, to perform certain tree planting activities on the river bank to prevent abrasion on the edge of the river. 5) Supervision, formed a community group watchdog organizations and traditional institutions in the supervision Tuah Sukato depths of the ban. 6) The law enforcement with sanctions for any violators of customs rules, sanctions in the form of community sanctions. The results of this study can be used as an ingredient in designing learning modules on the concept of Biological Biodiversity Conservation.
