Abstract

Awkward posture is one of the ergonomic risk contained in the workers, awkward postures that aren?t normaly done performed by these workers can cause stress on physical conditions of workers who have an impact on the incidence of injury to workers. To prevent injury from happening, it is necessary to conduct evaluation of ergonomic risk level on workers. This research is done through direct observation of all stages of the workers who do welding works. The assesment of ergonomic risk level uses Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) methods, and Ovako Working Analysis System (OWAS). The population of this research include all of the ten workers who did metal welding process who works on PT. Wahana Barametal Pekanbaru. The results of research showed that: 1) metal cutting activities has an average ergonomic risk, 2) carrying iron activities has a high ergonomic risk, 3) welding activities has an average ergonomic risk, 4) grinding activities has a slightly high ergonomic risk, 5) painting activities has a high ergonomic risk. To reduce ergonomic risk level is necessary to change the action and the movement of workers, the provision of working tools and changes in the design of workers.Keywords : Ergonomic Risk Assessment, REBA, OWAS, Ergonomy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of applying Total Quality Management application on PT. Tirta Guna Abadi Padang of employees Job Satisfaction. The population in this study includes all employees at PT. Tirta Guna Abadi Padang, totaling 31 people. Primary data was collected by questionnaire as an instrument to prove the result of the research. to the hypothesis in this study is tested using multiple regression analysis with the help of SPSS (Statistical Prorgam For Social Sciences). The sampling technique is a census method (31 employees at PT Tirta Guna Abadi Padang). The results showed that: 1) there is a positive and significant effect of recognition and appreciation of employee work satisfaction PT. Tirta Guna Abadi Padang, 2) there is a positive and significant influence of teamwork on employee work satisfaction of PT. Tirta Guna Abadi Padang, 3) there is a positive and significant influence of organizational culture on employee work satisfaction of PT. Abstract

Total Quality Management is a systematic management approach oriented by organization, costumer and market through combination of practical factfinding and problem solving to create significant improvements in quality, productivity and others. Two of Total Quality Management?s Principles are Empowerment and Organizational Commitment. This study aims to determine the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) through Empowerment and Organizational Commitment either simultaneously and partially to spirit work at PT. Adei Plantation & Industry, PMKS-Mandau Duri, Bengkalis District. Population in this study is all employees of factory that work in PT. Adei Plantation & Industry and sample are 52 employees. The research method is to use quantitative descriptive method and multiple linear regression with SPSS version 21.The study results simultaneously (Test F), indicate that all independent variables studied have a significant influence on total quality management spirit work. The influence level of each independent variable to dependent variable can be known by partial test, with R2 value 55,8%. Therefore, Empowerment variable (X1) has significant effect on spirit work (Y) and also Organizational Commitment (X2) and spirit work (Y).Keywords : empowerment, organizational commitment, spirit work

Abstract

Business performance can be improved by implementating Total Quality Management. Total Quality Management plays a very important role in increasing the strength of the business competitiveness. Good business performance will be able to compete with other businesses in improving the quality of the product. This research aims to determine the effects of Total Quality Management practice to business performance and competitiveness as a mediation variable at small and medium business in Dumai City. Population of this research is small and medium business that produces a typical souvenirs of Riau in Dumai City, totaling 68 bussiness.The sampling technique using census method. Hypothesis testing in this research is using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS. The result showed that Total Quality Management practice have positive and significant effect on competitiveness and business performance. Competitiveness have positive and significant effect on business performance and Total Quality Management practice have positive and significant effect on business performance by competitiveness as a mediation variable. Competitiveness in this research is a partial mediation variable.Keywords : Total Quality Management Practice, Business Performance, Competitiveness.

Abstract

Companies that have competent employees strongly support the success of the company, where the company can compete with other companies. The performance of the company depends on the good and bad performance of employees, to see the performance of employees one of them by looking at the physical workload felt by employees during work that impact stress and make employee performance is not in accordance with the expected company. This study aims to determine the effect of physical workload on job stress and employee performance at PT. Rifansi Dwi Putra Duri. The population in this study covers all employees at PT. Rifansi Dwi Putra Duri which amounts to 120 people. The sampling technique chosen in this research is using census method, to test the hypothesis in this research is to use path analysis (path analysis) with the help of SPSS program. The results showed that: There is a negative influence and significant physical workload on the performance of employees of PT. Rifansi Dwi Putra Duri. There is a negative influence and significant job stress on the performance of employees of PT. Rifansi Dwi Putra Duri. There is a positive and significant influence between the physical workload on employee work stress PT. Rifansi Dwi Putra Duri. There is a significant indirect influence between the physical workload on performance through employee work stress PT. Abstract

Nowadays, no business organization can escape from a stiffer competition. Thissituation demands for never ending innovation to survive and grow. Arguably, an innovative organization cannot be achieved without creative employees and supporting working environment. This study aims at investigating the relationship of the environment support on the employees' creativity. The environment support, in this study, includes work and non-work environment support, such as the support from supervisor and family. Special attention is paid to assess the mediating role of intrinsic motivation in the relationship. In doing so, a survey is administered to 132 employees (editorial staffs) working in mass media industry in the Indonesian context.The findings show that the support from co-workers is influential to promote the creativity of the employees. Surprisingly, the supports from supervisor and family provide no significant impact on the creativity. The study also reveals that intrinsic motivation partially influences the relationship between the support from co-workers and the creativity. It unearths that intrinsic motivation the employees have may signify the impact of the support from co-workers on their creativity. But this is not the case for the supports from supervisor and family.
