Abstract

Jika dimulai saat ini, siswa yang sedang menempuh pendidikan pada 2016/2017 yang pada saat nanti tahun 2045 berusia 30 hingga 40 tahun yang disebut mencapai usia produktif, generasi emas. Pada tahun 2045, dari berbagai sumber dikatakan memiliki ?bonus? demografi yang terus berlanjut dan akan berkontribusi atau sebaliknya berbencana pada berbagai sektor. Momen mengubah bangsa ini menjadi kaya, produktif dan daya saing besar, kuat, serta indah potensi dan prospeknya dapat dilakukan melalui pendidikan. Salah satu cara untuk membentuk siswa yang kreatif, kompetitif, sprotif dan bertangggung jawab adalah melalui perlombaan. Physics Competition (Physton) merupakan perlombaan di bidang Fisika dengan sasaran pelajar sekolah dasar, sekolah menengah pertama dan sekolah menengah atas, yang diselenggarakan oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Fisika Universitas Lambung Mangkurat. Tujuan dari kegiatan physton ini meningkatkan semangat belajar fisika siswa sekolah dasar, sekolah menengah pertama dan sekolah menengah atas, serta mengukur sejauh mana tingkat pemahaman siswa terhadap permasalahan dan konsep fisika yang tertuang dalam bentuk soal-soal hitungan, konsep, dan praktikum/percobaan. Melalui kegiatan ini diharapkan terbentuknya  siswa yang mampu menyelesaikan berbagai persoalan fisika guna mencapai generasi emas Indonesia.

Abstract

[Title: Development of Physics Cognitive Instruments Of Junior High School Students] This study aims to develop cognitive instruments on energy and business materials, simple aircraft and light quality. The specific purpose of this study is to describe: (1) the validity of cognitive instruments seen from Outfit MNSQ, ZSTD, and Pt Measure Corr; (2) the reliability of cognitive instruments seen from the values of individual separation, grain separation, and Cronbach Alpha; (3) the degree of difficulty seen from the logit value in the measurement column; This development research refers to the development model of Borg and Gall with the subject of research of 200 students of class VIII originating from several SMPN in Banjarmasin. Instrument collecting data in the form of validation and cognitive instruments. Data analysis techniques are descriptive and quantitative. The results showed: (1) five items of description on light material, nine items about the description of simple plane materials and nine items about the description of energy materials and businesses that are categorized as valid; (2) reliability of cognitive instruments seen from individual separation values, grain separation values, and Cronbach Alpha values are categorized as very reliable; (3) the difficulty level of questions seen from the logit of categorized is very difficult, difficult, easy, and very easy.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a prototype of teacher?s book and student?s book, that is  valid, practical, and effective to facilitate students scientific creativity. This research is conducted through three phases, namely define, design, and develop. Those prototypes are try out in  VII grade  SMPN 30 Surabaya academic year 2014/2015 with one-group pretest-posttest design. Data are colleted using observation method, tests, and questionnaires. Data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that 1) the prototype of teacher?s and student?s book are categorized valid; 2) Learning using the prototipe of teacher?s book looked at from the implementation of learning package categorized as practice and students activity in line with the steps of discovery learning; 3) The effectiveness of learning of the prototype of teacher?s book viewed from the increattement of student?s scientific creativity score according to paired sample pretest and posttest in significant < 0,05. Students response  to learning package and the implementation  is very positive. It can be concluded that the prototipe of teacher?s book and students book is valid, practice and effective to train students scientific creativity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Prototipe Buku Guru dan buku siswa yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan tiga tahap dari model 4-D (Four-D Model), yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan diujicobakan di kelas VII SMPN 30 Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Prototipe Buku Guru dan buku siswa yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Pembelajaran menggunakan Prototipe Buku Guru ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori praktis dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model penemuan terbimbing; dan 3) Keefektivan Prototipe Buku Guru pembelajaran ditinjau dari: Peningkatan kreativitas ilmiah siswa terlihat dari signifikansi menggunakan uji Paired Sample Test pretest dan posttest sig < 0.05 dan respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Prototipe Buku Guru dan buku siswa yang dikembangkan disimpulkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa.

Abstract

Questions used in school have not been analyzed by the item and only in one representation. This study aims to produce quality multi-representation-based cognitive instruments on Newton's law material for junior high school students in Banjarmasin. This study specifically aims to describe (1) the validity of cognitive instruments, (2) the reliability of cognitive instruments, (3) the level of difficulty of cognitive instruments, and (4) the discrimination power of cognitive instruments based on multi representation. The method used is the Research & Development (R & D) method by using the adaptation of the procedure model from Borg & Gall. Data were analyzed using classic formulas and through Rasch applications. The sample of the study was 204 eight grade students from Public Junior High Schools 14 Banjarmasin, Public Junior High Schools 25 Banjarmasin, and Public Junior High Schools 28 Banjarmasin. The results showed that (1) the validity of cognitive instruments developed is considered valid, (2) the reliability of cognitive instruments developed is relatively reliable, (3) the level of difficulty of cognitive instruments developed is divided into two categories; very difficult and very easy, and (4) the discrimination power of cognitive instruments developed is divided into three categories; repaired, accepted but needs to be repaired, and accepted. It can be concluded that the multi-representation-based cognitive instrument on Newton's law material on eighth grade students of junior high school in Banjarmasin is suitable for assessment of learning outcomes. So that the instruments developed can be used by teachers to assess student learning outcomes in the material of Newton's law.

Abstract

Instrumen kognitif keterampilan proses sains siswa masih belum tersedia dengan baik sehingga guru masih kesulitan dalam menilai kemampuan keterampilan proses sains siswa dikarenakan harus memerlukan waktu yang lama untuk mengamati siswa satu persatu melalui lembar observer. Untuk itu dilakukan pengembangan instrumen kognitif keterampilan proses sains siswa yang bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) validitas instrumen kognitif, (2) reliabilitas instrumen kognitif, dan (3) tingkat kesukaran butir soal instrumen kognitif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang mengacu pada model pengembangan Borg and Gall. Teknik analisis data berupa validasi instrumen kognitif, reliabilitas instrumen kognitif, dan tingkat kesukaran butir soal instrumen kognitif, menggunakan analisis program Rasch. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Validitas instrumen yang dikembangkan tergolong dalam kategori valid (2) Reliabilitas instrumen yang dikembangkan tergolong istimewa, dan (3) Tingkat kesukaran butir soal instrumen yang dikembangkan terbagi dalam empat tingkatan yaitu 2 butir soal kategori sangat sulit, 2 butir soal kategori sulit, 4 butir soal kategori mudah, dan 1 butir soal kategori sangat mudah. Diperoleh simpulan bahwa instrumen kognitif keterampilan proses sains yang dikembangkan berkualitas digunakan dalam evaluasi pembelajaran.

Abstract

The Indonesian National Qualification Framework in higher education requires universities to develop a curriculum that makes students have superior competence with a variety of skills that are in line with the demands of the 21st century, including Critical thinking skills. The main objective of this research is to analyze the practicality of the OR-IPA learning model, which has been developed by design to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers on the fundamentals of physics courses. The subject of practical observations was a physics lecturer who used the OR-IPA learning model. The observation sheet of the OR-IPA learning model practicality has been declared valid and reliable by the validators. The data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. The results showed that the OR-IPA learning model to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers was considered practical (3.69). Lecturers and students can use the OR-IPA learning model without significant obstacles. This research implies that the OR-IPA learning model can be an alternative to improve the critical thinking skill of prospective physics teachers in the fundamentals of physics courses.

Abstract

This article evaluates student responses in biology physics courses use worksheets based on scientific literacy. Student worksheets are seen as a product developed, and one of the aspects reviewed is the practicality in the context of the implementation of the worksheets in the classroom. Student responses will illustrate how practicality of the learning tool, namely the student worksheet used. The student responses were mined from the questionnaire, which featured the grade of very good, good,  enough, poor, and not good. The responses were given by 30 students who took the Biology Physics course from the Physics Education Study Program at Lambung Mangkurat University. Results show that the Student Worksheet is very good for improving scientific literacy in Biology Physics courses and are suggested for widespread implementations, also for another courses.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze students' critical thinking skills (CTS). This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research subjects consisted of 31 students of Class XI MIPA in one of the high schools in the city of Banjarmasin. The instrument is in the form of 6 CTS test items that measure 2 sub-indicators, namely drawing conclusions from the results of investigating and evaluating (formulating alternative solutions). Descriptive data analysis by describing CTS on the two sub-indicators. The results showed that the CTS of students at this time were still in the low category, which was marked from the percentage of 2 CTS sub-indicators namely drawing conclusions from the results of investigating and evaluating (formulating alternative solutions) which was still low under 10%. Further research needs to be done on CTS which is allegedly capable of being trained through an inquiry model based worksheets.

Abstract

 Pengembangan kreativitas ilmiah dalam pembelajaran fisika menjadi solusi baru yang lebih efektif dalam mengatasi berbagai permasalahan yang semakin kompleks dan beragam dewasa ini; tetapi hambatan kreativitas mengganggu kemampuan para guru fisika untuk mengenali ide-ide kreatifnya. Oleh karena itu, tujuan pengabdian ini ialah membekali para guru fisika di Kalimantan Selatan dengan pengetahuan dan kreativitas ilmiah; serta berlatih mendesain Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) Berbasis Kreativitas Ilmiah. Kegiatan pengabdian diawali identifikasi masalah tentang rendahnya kreativitas ilmiah para guru sains-fisika, kemudian penyusunan modul pelatihan kreativitas ilmiah yang ditekankan pada aktivitas siswa meliputi: (1) menentukan kegunaan benda untuk tujuan ilmiah, (2) menemukan masalah-masalah sains, (3) meningkatkan kegunaan produk secara teknis, (4) berimajinasi ilmiah, (5) mendesain eksperimen kreatif, (6) memecahkan masalah sains secara kreatif, dan (7) mendesain produk secara kreatif. Selain itu, pengembangan desain LKS melibatkan pembelajaran berbasis otonomi, kebutuhan belajar kreatif, investigasi ilmiah, dan pemantapan kreativitas ilmiah. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dalam bentuk wokshop mendesain LKS berbasis kreativitas ilmiah. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman kreativitas ilmiah guru dalam mendesain produk kreatif pada awalnya dalam kriteria kurang kreatif. Sebaliknya, setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini, para peserta pelatihan lebih memahami tentang kreativitas ilmiah dan pentingnya kreativitas ilmiah dalam pembelajaran sains-fisika, serta dapat mendesain LKS berbasis kreativitas ilmiah dalam kriteria kreatif. Dengan demikian, kegiatan pengembangan desain LKS berbasis kreativitas ilmiah pada guru sains-fisika di Kalimantan Selatan mampu meningkatkan pemahaman kreativitas ilmiah para pendidik dengan baik.Development of scientific creativity in learning physics into new solutions that are more effective in overcoming various increasingly complex and diverse problems today, but the obstacle of creativity interferes with the ability of physics teachers to recognize their creative ideas. Therefore, this service aims to equip physics teachers in South Kalimantan with scientific knowledge and creativity, as well as to practice designing the student worksheets based on creativity. The service activity begins with the identification of problems regarding the lack of scientific creativity of science-physics teachers. The preparation of scientific creativity training modules that emphasizes student activities include: (1) determining the use of objects for scientific purposes, (2) finding scientific problems, (3) improve the use of technical products, (4) scientific imagination, (5) design creative experiments, (6) solve scientific problems creatively, and (7) design creative products. Also, the development of the student worksheet design involves autonomous based learning, creative learning needs, scientific investigations, and strengthening scientific creativity. Implementation of community service in the form of a workshop to design the student worksheet based on scientific creativity. The results of the dedication show that the understanding of the teacher's scientific creativity in designing creative products was initially less creative. On the contrary, after participating in this community service activity, the trainees will understand more about scientific creativity and the importance of scientific creativity in learning science-physics and can design the student worksheet based on scientific creativity in creative criteria. Thus, the development of the student worksheet based scientific creativity design activities in science-physics teachers in South Kalimantan can improve the understanding of the scientific creativity of educators well.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan kemampuan guru-guru fisika di Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah tentang penyusunan proposal Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Peserta yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdin ini merupakan anggota Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) fisika Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada pengabdian ini terdiri atas dua tahap, yaitu penyampaian materi dan praktik penyusunan proposal PTK. Materi yang disampaikan adalah konsep dasar PTK dan analisis masalah pembelajaran, metodologi PTK, menganalisis data dan interpretasi hasil, dan merancang proposal PTK dengan metode ceramah. Hasil pengabdian ini adalah bertambahnya pemahaman dan kemampuan guru tentang penyusunan proposal PTK. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat dijadkan sebagai bahan masukan guru untuk meningkatkan kompetensi profesionalisme guru dengan melakukan PTK. This service activity aims to improve the understanding and ability of physics teachers in the Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency regarding the preparation of Classroom Action Research (CAR) proposals. Participants involved in this community service activity were members of the Physics Teachers Meeting (MGMP) physics at Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency. The stages carried out in this service consist of two steps, namely the delivery of material and the practice of preparing a CAR proposal. The material presented is the basic concept of CAR and analysis of learning problems, CAR methodology, analyzing data and interpretation of results, and designing CAR proposals using the lecture method. The result of this dedication is the increasing understanding and ability of teachers regarding the preparation of PTK proposals. The results of these community service activities can be used as teacher input to improve teacher professional competence by conducting CAR.
