Abstract

Literacy is now beginning to become a discourse in various media, both print and social media. This happened since Anies Baswedan, when he was Minister of Education and Culture, launched the School Literacy Movement (GLS). Trends in global currents and the Indonesian economy are also entering the era of the creative industry revolution, an era of revolution that relies heavily on the products of the creative industries. Creative industries can be defined as industries based on expertise, talent and creativity; such as fashion, crafts, publishing (books and print media), music, film and advertising. Literary works and creative industries are both based on talent and creativity and are equally cultural. The difference is, the process of creating literary works is more oriented to the interests of the literary (literary), while the creative industry is more oriented to the interests of the market. Local Wisdom is considered so interesting to be the main topic raised in literacy development because through learning in the classroom, students will indirectly get to know the local wisdom of each region. This paper seeks to reveal the steps that can be taken so that the culture of literacy or GLS can still go hand in hand with the development of the existing creative industries. The method used is certainly descriptive and through a qualitative approach. In conclusion, the Indonesian literacy movement still needs to be promoted, and Indonesian language learning in tertiary institutions still needs to be improved, so that people become more proficient in Indonesian and continue to love Indonesian as a means of communication, cultural imaging, and strengthening the national identity. The low ability of students in the field of poetry indicates the need to empower poetry writing for students. This article aims to illustrate how to empower the literacy culture of students writing poetry in the face of the era of the creative industry revolution.

Abstract

Nowadays, Indonesian has lost the local wisdom that characterizes the nation's culture. Character building is important thing ways to overcome the moral degradation of people right now. The research method used in this research is content analysis method by using qualitative approach. The results showed five values of character building contained in Serat Pedhalangan Ringgit Purwo VII Episode "Pandu Papa", namely the value of 1) Friendly / Communicative, 2) Religious, 3) Responsibility, 4) Honest, and 5) Social Care.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17977/um033v1i12018075

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe martial art or pencak silat is a combating method that philosophically teaches both spiritual and physical education helping the enthusiasts to live with the noble moral values in their society. The material object of this study is pencak silat and the formal object is the philosophy of arts or aesthetics of the pencak silat. This study aims to examine (1) norms or manners of pencak silat, (2) pencak silat style, (3)  pencak silat categories and pencak silat equipments. This research employs factual-historical method by means of description, analysis, and synthesis. The results are (1) norms of pencak silat are conceptually found in the attitude of performance, steps (gerak langkah), attack (serangan), and defense (belaan), (2) martial arts style consists of the mental-spiritual aspects, martial arts, arts, and sport, (3) arts in martial arts are subdivided into wiraga, wirama, and wirasa, and the martial arts equipments include specific use of costumes, weapons, and traditional music acompaniments. Keywords: martial arts style, pencak silat, philosophical values, wiraga-wirama-wirasa ABSTRAK Seni bela diri pencak silat sebagai metode bertarung secara filosofis mengajarkan pendidikan spiritual dan fisik untuk membantu para peminatnya dalam menghayati nilai-nilai moral yang luhur di dalamnya. Objek material dari penelitian ini adalah pencak silat dan objek formal adalah filsafat seni atau estetika dari pencak silat tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji (1) norma atau perilaku pencak silat, (2) gaya pencak silat, (3) kategori pencak silat dan peralatannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode faktual-historis melalui deskripsi, analisis, dan sintesis. Hasilnya adalah (1) norma pencak silat yang secara konseptual ditemukan dalam sikap kinerja, gerak langkah, serangan, dan pertahanan (belaan), (2) gaya seni bela diri (aliran gaya) yang terdiri dari aspek mental-spiritual, bela diri, seni, dan olahraga, (3) seni dalam seni bela diri dibagi menjadi wiraga, wirama, dan wirasa serta peralatan seni bela diri termasuk penggunaan kostum, senjata khusus, dan pengiring musik tradisional.Kata kunci: gaya seni bela diri, pencak silat, nilai filosofis, wiraga-wirama-wirasa

Abstract

This paper discusses efforts to save ancient manuscripts in Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. The object of this research is the manuscripts of Lombok from the collection of the West Nusa Tenggara State Museum which was found, inventoried, and described in Central Lombok Regency, NTB. This research uses a descriptive-qualitative approach. The large number of manuscripts found in Lombok indicates that the written tradition has developed well since the Sasak people were familiar with writing. Some of the writings (scripts) used in the manuscripts in Lombok are the Jejawen, Arabic, Balinese and Buginese characters. Regarding the documentation of local Lombok scripts, the implementation of digitizing scripts in the field experienced a lot of delays due to several factors, the most inhibiting of them was the digitalization process which was quite complicated, besides the constraints on the internet and media networks after the earthquake in Lombok. --- Tulisan ini mendiskusikan tentang upaya-upaya penyelamatan naskah kuno di Lombok, Nusa Tenggara Barat. Adapun objek penelitian ini adalah naskah klasik Lombok koleksi Museum Negeri Nusa Tenggara Barat yang berhasil ditemukan, diinventarisir, dan dideskripsikan di wilayah Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, NTB. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kualitatif, Banyaknya naskah yang ditemukan di Lombok dalam jumlah besar mengindikasikan bahwa tradisi tulis telah berkembang dengan baik sejak masyarakat Sasak mengenal tulisan. Beberapa tulisan (aksara) yang digunakan dalam naskah-naskah di Lombok adalah aksara Jejawen, Arab, Bali, dan Bugis. Terkait pendokumentasian naskah-naskah lokal Lombok, pelaksanaan digitalisasi naskah di lapangan cukup banyak mengalami keterlambatan yang dikarenakan beberapa faktor, yang paling menghambat diantaranya adalah proses digitalisasi yang cukup rumit, disamping kendala pada jaringan internet dan media pasca kejadian gempa bumi di tanah Lombok.
