Abstract

Abstrak: Fokus kegiatan pengabdian ini berupa workshop dengan tema publish or perish (publikasikan atau tersisihkan) dalam rangka meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam kegiatan menyusun dan mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah. Metode pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pelatihan dengan Participatory Learning Method (PLM) yang diimplementasikan pada 17 guru di SMP Negeri 20 Kota Serang. Materi yang diberikan berupa isu yang berkembang dalam dunia pendidikan, inovasi dalam metode dan media pembelajaran, serta metode penelitian pendidikan tindakan kelas. Para guru juga mendapatkan pendampingan penyusunan penulisan karya tulis ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini berupa tiga artikel yang telah melalui penyeleksian dipublikasikan di Jurnal GAUSS: Jurnal Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Serang Raya. Kegiatan ini memberikan indikasi positif bahwa kegiatan pengabdian ini memberikan dampak yang baik sebagai permulaan untuk membangun motivasi dalam menulis dan mempublikasikan karya tulis ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan ini menjadi bahan refleksi dan pertimbangan tim pengabdian Universitas Serang Raya dan pihak sekolah untuk bekerjasama menyelenggarakan kegiatan lanjutan dan berkesinambungan.Abstract: The focus of the community learning service program was a ?publish or perish? workshop to improve the ability of teachers in writing and publishing scientific papers. Participatory Learning Method (PLM) was used to achieve the goals that implemented in each 17 teacher in SMP Negeri 20 Kota Serang as the participant. The material provided is about education?s issues, innovation in teaching and learning methods, and Classroom Action Reasearch methods. The teachers also received assistance in writing scientific papers. As a result, three selected articles published in the GAUSS Journal: Journal of Mathematics Education, Universitas Serang Raya. The value provides a positive indication to the community learning service program. It has a good impact as a beginning to build motivation in writing and publishing scientific papers. The results of this activity were a reflection and consideration of the Universitas Serang Raya as an organizer team and the school to work together to carry out follow-up and continuous activities.

Abstract

Epiphytic ferns are one of the compilers of forest ecosystems that grow attached to trees. The forest is a suitable habitat for epiphytic ferns. This study aims to determine the types of epiphytic ferns in the Petungkriyono forest. The research technique uses a roaming method by exploring the entire forest area which includes mixed forests, pine forests and coffee plantations. In total, there were 30 species of epiphytic ferns belonging to 7 families. Each location was found 25 species in mixed forests, 10 species in pine forests and 16 species in coffee plantations. There are several types of ferns found in all locations, namely Asplenium nidus, Davallia denticulata, Davallia sp, Goniophlebium percusum. Humidity, temperature, light intensity and soil pH in Petungkriyono are suitable for growing ferns.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the characteristics of the appropriate book for improving understanding of mathematical concepts, especially on the subject of function by utilizing Geogebra program. The research method used is research and development, where the research is intended to develop and produce certain products, and test the effectiveness of these products. Subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 6 in the city of Serang with a limited scale test conducted on 5 students, while field tests were conducted on 15 students. The conclusions developed in this study that use the teaching materials by utilizing Geogebra program have improved conceptual understanding compared with the students before using the teaching materials.

Abstract

ABSTRAK  Kekerasan terhadap perempuan adalah salah satu fenomena yang masih terjadi hingga saat ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji kekerasan dan dampaknya bagi perempuan yang tergambar dalam novel Room karya Emma Donoghue menggunakan teori Feminisme Radikal oleh Allison Jaggar. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif secara deskriptif  dengan melalui proses dokumentasi yang diperoleh dari novel Room. Penelitian ini menemukan beberapa bentuk kekerasan yang dialami tokoh perempuan di dalam novel yang meliputi kekerasan seksual, kekerasan fisik dan kekerasan emosional. Dampak dari kekerasan terhadap tokoh perempuan di novel Room adalah menjadi sulit bersosialisasi, tidak mudah mengendalikan amarah dan mengalami stres pasca kejadian traumatis.  Kata Kunci : Kekerasan, Feminisme Radikal, Bentuk Kekerasan, Dampak Kekerasan   ABSTRACT  Violence toward female is one of the phenomena that still happen nowadays. This research aimed to discuss about the violence and the effect that reflected in the novel Room by Emma Donoghue using  Radical Feminism theory by Allison Jaggar. The method that used is qualitative in the descriptive way with through a documentation process obtained from the novel Room. This research found some form of violences of the female character in the novel that consists of sexual violence, physical violence and emotional violence. The effects of the violence toward the female character in the novel Room are having difficulties to socialize with people, troubles to manage the anger and dealing with stress after a traumatic event.
