Abstract

he objective of this research was to study the effects of pre-gelatinization and freezing processes on physico-chemical characteristics of young corn kernel instant. The results showed that pre-gelatinization and slow freezing processes significantly affected bulk density, rehidration capacity, hardness and cooking time of young corn kernel instant. The study of water sorption isothermic showed that the product had a sigmoid curve. Based on this curve, shelf life of the product had been calculated. The YCKI waxy, YCKI Flint, and YCKI Sweet products packed in alufo had shelf life of 7.2, 12.1 and 13.8 months respectively.Key words: young corn kernel instant, pre-gelatinization,slow freezing, drying, water sorption isothermic, shelf life

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to modify arrowroot starch to produce resistant starch type III by autoclaving-cooling cycling and to characterize the modified arrowroot starches according to their chemical properties. The research consisted of three steps : arrowroot extraction, starch modification, and chemical characterization. The extraction of arrowroot produced 10.78% starch. Starch modification by autoclaving-cooling cycle(s) was run in 6 different treatments with the aim of observing optimal yield of resistant starch. Resistant starch (RS) was produced through 1, 3, 5 cycle(s) of autoclaving-cooling treatment with different gelatinization periods (15 and 30 minutes autoclaving) for each cycle. Properties analyzed were starch digestibility, fat content, protein content, resistant starch content, and dietary fiber content. Native starch and commercial RS type III (Novelose 330) were also analyzed as a comparison.   Based on the starch digestibility, modified starch from 5 cycles, 15 minutes gelatinization period had the lowest digestibility while modified starch from 3 cycles, 15 minutes gelatinization period had no significant difference with commercial RS type III. Those two modified starches, native starch, and Novelose 330 were chosen for further chemical analysis. The fat content and protein content of the four samples were below 1% (db). Low fat and protein content were required to optimize the RS yield. The modification treatment  increased the dietary fiber content. The RS content of native starch, Novelose 330, modified starch 3 cycles, 15 minutes gelatinization period, and modified starch 5 cycles, 15 minutes gelatinization period were 2.12% (db), 20.80% (db), 10.91% (db), and 12.15% (db), respectively. It means that repeating autoclaving-cooling cycling could increase RS yield up to 6 times.

Abstract

The research was conducted to study the formulation of substitute by corn flour. The flour used roasted corn flour and unroasted corn flour. Results showed that biscuit?s made of 80 gr corn flour and 20 gr wheat flour were accepted by panelist?s and the best formulation was 80 gr corn flour, 20 gr wheat flour, 50 gr margarine, 50 gr sugar and 10 gr yellow egg both of two corn flour. Roasting treatment of corn flour significantly affected fat content, carbohydrate content and digestibility of protein of the biskuit.

Abstract

This research was aimed to characterize sweet potato flour var. shiroyutaka and assessment of its potential as alternative carbohydrate source on food product. Characterization was conducted on flour processed from sweet potato var. shiroyutaka harvested at four months was characteristic, these included whiteness degree and water absorption of the flour, ratio of amylase-amylopectin, form and size of starch granule, and starch digestibility. The research showed that whiteness degree and water absorption of the flour were 78,82% ( 0,52) and 1,25 g/g ( 0,12) respectively. The ratio of amylase-amylopectin, gelatinization temperature, maximum viscosity and invitro starch digest ability were 69.82%: 30.18%, 78-900C and 84,78% respectively. The granule of its starch was round form and with size 2-4 micron. The main potential of the flour is related with its specific characteristics which were the amylose-amylopectin ratio, the starch amylograph profile, form and size of starch granule, and the starch digest ability. These parameters implied that, the flour should be utilized in the production specific food products. Key words : sweet potato flour, amylose, gelatinization, digest ability, water absorption

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan peningkatan kemampuan membaca nyaring suku kata dengan menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada siswa kelas I Sekolah Dasar Negeri 01 Sungai Pinyuh Kabupaten Mempawah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas dan sifat penelitiannya adalah kolaborasi dengan mengikuti prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil temuannya adalah terjadinya peningkatan (a) Kemampuan guru merencanakan pembelajaran membaca nyaring suku kata dengan lafal yang tepat menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas I mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 2,69 dan pada siklus II yaitu sebesar 3,57. (b) Kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran membaca nyaring suku kata dengan lafal yang tepat menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas I mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 2,71 pada siklus II yaitu sebesar 3,92. (c) Meningkatnya kemampuan siswa membaca nyaring suku kata dengan lafal yang tepat  menggunakan metode demonstrasi pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas I yaitu pada siklus I sebesar 76,67% pada siklus II yaitu sebesar 88,33%.   Kata Kunci:  Kemampuan Membaca Nyaring, Metode Demonstrasi   Abstract: This study aims to improve the improvement of the ability to read aloud syllable using the demonstration in the first grade students of State Elementary School District 01 River Pinyuh Mempawah. The method used is descriptive form of action research and collaborative nature of the research is to follow the procedure of action research, including planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Its findings are the increase (a) The ability of teachers plan learning to read aloud the syllable with the right pronunciation using the method demonstration on learning Indonesian in class I increased in the first cycle of 2,69 and the second cycle is equal to 3,57. (b) The ability of teachers to implement learning to read aloud the syllable with the right pronunciation using the method demonstration on learning Indonesian in class I increased in the first cycle of 2,71 in the second cycle is equal to 3,92. (c) the increased ability of students to read aloud the syllable with the right pronunciation using the method demonstration on learning Indonesian in class I, namely on the first cycle of 76,67% in the second cycle is equal to 88,33%.   Keywords : Reading ability Loud, Method Demonstration

Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 1 Sungai Pinyuh. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini dilakukan 2 siklus yang terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan, dan refleksi. Hasil pada siklus 1 rata-rata 54,38 % dan pada siklus 2 rata-rata 79,06 % terdapat selisih nilai rata-rata sebesar 24,68%. Dengan demikian bahwa perbaikan pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dapat dilakukan oleh guru kelas dengan menggunakan media gambar memiliki dampak positif dan dikategorikan sangat baik.   Kata Kunci : Hasil belajar, media gambar.   Abstract : this Research have go to to to level it result study student of class III Elementary school Country 1 Pinyuh's River. this research Method to use it descriptive method with form class action research. this Research is done 2 cycle that consist from planning, execution, perceiving, and . Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi yang akurat tentang peningkatan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe talking stick pada pembelajaran IPS di kelas III SDN 03 Pontianak Selatan Provensi Kalimantan Barat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Bentuk Penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Setting penelitian di kelas  III D SDN 03 Pontianak Selatan. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas III D yang berjumlah 30 peserta didik, menggunakan tiga siklus setiap siklus berisi satu kali pertemuan yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Aktivitas belajar  peserta didik pada base line sebesar 39.71% mengalami peningkatan sebesar 30.79 %  menjadi 64.71 % pada siklus I, pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 14.30% menjadi 79.12% dan pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan sebesar  9.11 %  menjadi 88.23 %, Sedangkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada base line sebesar 65.15  mengalami peningkatan sebesar 11.32  menjadi 76.47  pada siklus I , pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan sebesar 7.79  menjadi 84.26 dan pada siklus III mengalami peningkatan sebesar  4.12  menjadi 88.38. Dengan demikian kooperatif tipe talking stick ternyata dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas, hasil, IPS, Talking Stick. Abstract: This study aimed to obtain accurate information about the increase in student learning activities dan outcomes using cooperative models talking stick the type of learning social studies in class III SDN 03 Pontianak Selatan  province Kalimantan Barat. The method used is descriptive method. The study forms were used that study to a Classromm Action Research. Setting research at III D grade SDN 03 Pontianak Selatan district. The subjects were students III D classes totaling 34 students, using three cycles each cycle contains one meeting that consist of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Student learning activities at baseline by 39.71 % increased by 30.79% to 64.71%, on the second cycle increased by 14.30% to 79.12% and in the third cycle increased by 9.11% to 88.23%. Whereas Student learning outcomes at base line by 65.15 increased by 11.32 to 76.47, on the second cycle increased by 7.79 to 84.26 and in the third cycle increased by 4.12 to 88.38. Thus cooperative learning type talking stick it can increase student learning activities and outcomes.Keywords: Activities, Outcomes, IPS, Talking Stick

Abstract

Abstract The objectives of this study were to extract atung seed with water through boiling process to obtain a natural preservative. Atung seed was extracted in boiling water at different ratio (1:5; 1:7; 1:10) and boiling time (10, 20, 30 minutes). The extracts were analyzed their total phenol and antimicrobiol activity. Result showed that the best extract was obtained from the ratio of 1:5 (atung seed : water) and 10 minutes boiling. The best extract had a total phenol of 88.13 mg/100g and antimicrobiol activity of 9.3 mm. Keywords : Water Extraction, atung seed, natural preservative Abstrak Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan ekstraksi biji atung dengan cara perebusan untuk mendapatkan bahan pengawet alami.Dalam penelitian inidilakukan ekstraksi biji atung dengan perbandingan atung dan air yang berbeda (1:5, 1:7, 1:10) serta lama waktu perebusan yang berbeda (10, 20 dan 30 menit). Hasil ekstraksi dianalisis total fenol dan aktivitas antimikroba. Perlakuan terbaik terdapat pada ekstrak dengan perbandingan 1:5 (atung dan air) selama 10 menit perebusan. Hal ini diperlihatkan dengan nilai total fenol sebesar 88.13 mg/100 g dan aktivitas antimikroba 9.3 mm. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan siswa menulis karangan narasi dengan pendekatan contextual teaching and learning di kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Pontianak Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 28 siswa, menggunakan tiga siklus setiap siklus berisi satu kali pertemuan yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Nilai rata-rata kemampuan siswa menulis karangan narasi mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya hal ini dibuktikan dengan pada siklus I sebesar 48,14 mengalami peningkatan sebesar 14,2 menjadi 62,34 pada siklus II. Kemudian mengalami peningkatan lagi sebesar 7,85 dengan nilai rata-rata 70,19 pada siklus III. Method Research the used descriptive method. Abstract

Abstark; Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial menggunakan model Word Square di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif. Bentuk penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang bersifat kolaboratif. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus yang terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah teknik observasi langsung menggunakan model Word Square siklus I yaitu 69.29%, siklus II 87.14% dan siklus III 95.00%. Dengan demikian, dari data yang diperoleh menunjukan bahwa dengan menggunakan model Word Square dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 15 Sungai Raya Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Kata Kunci : Aktivitas, Pembelajaran IPS, Model Word Square Abstract: This study was aimed to improve students? activity on Social Sciences learning by using Word Square model to the fourth grade of Government Primary School 15 in Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya. The method of  research was descriptive methods in form of collaborative classroom action research. The Research was carried out in three cycles consist of planning; implementation; observation; and data collection and reflection stages. The data collection technique was direct observation by using Word Square model. As the result, activity student by using Word Square model at the first, second, and third cycle is 69.29%; 87.14%; and 95.00% respectively. Thus, the data obtained indicates that Word Square Model application in Social Sciences learning can enhance the students? activity of the fourth grade students of the Government Primary School 15 in Sungai Raya, Kubu Raya district.
