Abstract

Breastfeeding is a very important activity for both mother and baby. In the breastfeeding state the relationship between mother and baby will be tight and close. The old method and also duration of breastfeeding can cause fatigue, shoulder muscle tension, and soreness / stiffness in breastfeeding mothers. Problems due to absence of the use of pillow when mother breastfeed and mothers only depending on her limb to sustain baby when breastfeeding. In this case we need an ergonomic pillow to help mother feeding her baby. The purpose of this research is to investigate the use of redesigning nursing pillow can reduce fatigue, musculoskeletal complaints in breastfeeding mothers, to determine the use redesigning nursing pillow increase the motivation of mothers to breastfeed the baby as well as increase the satisfaction of nursing infants.This research held in as an experimental research draft of pre and post control group design. Samples that were included in this study was 22 people divided into two groups. The control group will breastfeeding using older model nursing pillow, while the another group will use the new redesign nursing pillow. Data analysis using t-test paried significance level of 5%.The result showed mother?s motivation after breastfeeding in both groups increased, the control group (18.27 ± 2.370) and the treatment group (15.45 ± 1.809). Baby satisfaction in the control group (11.09 ± 0.943), while the treatment group (12.27 ± 0.904). Exhausted mother?s in the control group (39.64 ± 2.803), while the treatment group (32.64 ± 1.504).Musculoskeletal disorders that mother?s felt in the control group (37.54 ± 1.694), while the treatment group (30.81 ± 2.136).Based on the study can be concluded that redesign breastfeeding pillow can giving impact to increase motivation and baby satisfaction and also decrease fatigue and musculoskeletal complain/disorder that mothers can feel. So hopefully by using this nursing pillow design maximizes mothers to breastfeed

Abstract

Less ergonomic computer working condition may cause a variety of complaints among computer operators. The complaint arises due to inappropriate of work load and capacity. Less ergonomic working conditions increase muscle tension of several muscles based on surface electromyography, work load, and subjective complaints based on musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue, and eyestrain. The objective of this study was to analyze improvement of the working conditions based on total ergonomic reduce the electrical activity of muscles, work load, musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue, and eyestrain. The true experimental study has been conducted with treatment by subject design among design workers of CV. Massa Denpasar with a total 15 subjects. Some data including muscle tension, work load, musculoskeletal complaints, and fatigue were measured when working in conventional working conditions (first Period) and when working with treated working conditions based on total ergonomic (second Period). Data were analyzed by paired samples t test and Wilcoxon signed ranks test. This study revealed that a decreased of work load was 4,89%, musculoskeletal complaints were 15,45%, fatigue was 33,53%, and eyestrain was 14,32% and productivity was 44,07% (p<0.05). The results showed that the improvement of computer working conditions based on total ergonomic decreased muscle tension, work load, musculoskeletal complaints, fatigue, and eyestrain. Concluded that the improvement of working conditions based computer ergonomics can reduce the total workload is seen from the decrease in pulse work, as well as lowing the musculoskeletal complaints and fatigue are seen from the increase in productivity, suggested that improvements in working conditions is used as a model computer in designing computer working conditions for the achievement of healthy working conditions, safe, convenient, effective, efficient, and productive with the hope that achieved the highest welfare

Abstract

Currently, the department of medical recording of Sanglah hospital have utilizedcomputerization system. So must of the medical the record of patiens was organized by the devices. Some of physical complaint always felt by operator computer, especially on their neck, shoulder, arm, wrist, hand and eyes that could be annoyed the quality and productivity of the employees. The stretching training and active rest should be done to the employees of the department of medical recording of Sanglah hospital decreasing all of the complaints and could be increasing their the work concentration. Has the studies to the sample subjek an employees BMR, sampel were 20 people  give treatmentinmy form training stretching and active rest. Variabel measure is complait musculoskeletalm eye fatique and concentration work. Resul treatmen betwen before working and after work for the Periodic I and Periodic II compared and analyzed statistically.In PI, the average score of musculoskeletal disorder is 77.36, eye fatigue is 67.90, and the work concentration which cover : speed 26.03, accuracy 18.01, and constancy 7,22. Mean while, in PII the average of score musculoskeletal disorder is 45.56, eye fatigue is 52.25, and the work concentration which cover : speed 15.00, accuracy 13.50, and constancy 6.23. According to that score could be knowing that the stretching training and active rest was decrease musculoskeletal disorder about 71.98%, eye fatigue 46.73% and the work concentration which cover : speed 80.06%, accurancy 61.89%, and constancy 40.08%. Which is in statistic this study was significantly p<0,05Therefore, could be concluded that stretching training and active rest decreasing musculoskeletal disorder and eye fatigue, and increasing the work concentration of BRM employees of Sanglah hospital. By doing so, that stretching training and active rest advisably to starts to be implemented in order to all of work activities of BMR employees of the hospital because the evident could be able to decrease musculoskeletal disorder, eye fatigue, and in order to increase employees? the work concentration

Abstract

The activity of traditional dodol stirrer workers is done with standing position. The stirring process is done monotonically and over a long period of 5 hours. This study aims to show that workplace stretching exercise administration and modification of working conditions may decrease musculoskeletal and fatigue complaintas in traditional dodol stirrer workers. The stirring tool (siut) used by the worker does not correspond to anthropomethry, causing a work with a bent position. This study was an experimental study, with the same subject design. Period I subjects were treated with conventional working condition. Period II subjects were treated with workplace stretching exercise administration and improved working conditions in the form of re-design the stirring tool(siut) of the dodol stirrer and active rest. Musculoskeletal complaints were measured by Nordic body map questionnaires on a 4 likert scale, working fatigue using 30 item rating scales. Analysis of the collected data is started with the descriptive analysis and the normality data tested using Shapiro-Wilk. Further, the data that has normal distribution are analyzed using t-paired and the data that has not a normal distribution are analyzed using Wilcoxon test. This study indicated that the administration of workplace stretching exercise and modification of working conditions can decreasing musculoskeletal decline of 18.3 % from the mean 12.67±0.50 to 5.59±0.52 and fatigue decreased by 18.5% from the mean 12.42±1.45 to 5.34±0.66 It can be concluded that the provision of workplace stretching exercise and modification of working condition can decrease musculoskeletal complaintas and fatigue of dodol stirrer workers. So it is advisable for the dodol making industry to applied this technique of exercise to minimize complaints due to the working process of stirring dodol.

Abstract

Sikap kerja duduk statis dalam waktu 7 jam pada pekerja pembentukan keramik dengan mesin electric wheel di industri keramik dapat menimbulkan kelelahan dan keluhan muskuloskeletal. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mencari solusi untuk meningkatkan kapasitas kerja dinilai dari penurunan kelelahan dan penurunan keluhan muskuloskeletal serta meningkatkan produktivitas pada pekerja bagian pembentukan keramik di BTIKK BPPT Bali. Telah dilakukan penelitian di BTIKK BPPT Bali, dengan rancangan sama subjek terhadap 10 orang pekerja. Periode I (P0) proses pembentukan keramik dengan mesin electric wheel tanpa intervensi. Periode II (P1) dengan intervensi penerapan istirahat aktif berupa Workplace Stretching Exercise dan berjalan untuk mengambil minum. Perbedaan rerata kapasitas kerja berdasarkan penurunan kelelahan dan keluhan muskuloskeletal, serta peningkatan produktivitas dianalisis untuk menguji perbedaannya, pada tingkat kemaknaan ?=0,05 saat sebelum dan sesudah bekerja antara kedua periode. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelelahan Periode I sesudah bekerja 68,60±3,23; Periode II sesudah bekerja 56,40±1,84, terjadi penurunan sebesar 17,78%. Keluhan muskuloskeletal Periode I sesudah bekerja 64,90±1,90; Periode II sesudah bekerja 55,40±1,84, terjadi penurunan sebesar 14,63%. Produktivitas Periode I 0,63±0,16 dan Periode II 0,75±0,19, terjadi peningkatan sebesar 19,05%. Terjadi penurunan kelelahan dan keluhan muskuloskeletal serta produktivitas meningkat secara bermakna (p<0,05). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan istirahat aktif berupa Workplace Stretching Exercise dan berjalan untuk mengambil minum dapat meningkatkan kapasitas kerja dan produktivitas kerja bagian pembentukan keramik dengan mesin electric wheel di BTIKK BPPT Bali. Disarankan untuk diterapkan di BTIKK BPPT Bali agar dapat mengurangi kelelahan dan keluhan muskuloskeletal akibat proses kerja.

Abstract

Technological developments increase the clothing industry from a variety of materials, types of fabrics, clothing models used by various professions in the form of work uniforms or daily service clothing (PDH). The convenient use of PDH helps workers improve their performance. This study was conducted to determine the effect of long-sleeved and short-sleeved PDH on the comfort and performance of radiographers at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. This research was carried out at radiology installation of Sanglah Denpasar Hospital, from May to June 2017. The design of this study was cross-design of two equal period subjects (treatment by subject and two period cross over pre and post-test group design) with a total sample of 16 people. The use of long-sleeved PDH as a control group, short-sleeved PDH as the treatment group. Measurements were performed pre and post on the comfort and performance of radiographers in terms of hand washing time and the number of patients that could be served. Comparison test on comfort and performance using Wilxocon Signed Ranks Test with p <0,05. The results showed that the application short-sleeved PDH increased the subjective comfort y 10.75 or 27.08% (p <0.05), improving the performance of decreasing the time duration score required by hand washing 0,87 or 34,12% p <0.05) and an increase in the number of patients who could be served by 6.31 or 53.98% (p <0.05). The applicastion of short-sleeved PDH compared to long-sleeved PDH showed a difference of comfort and radiographer performance at radiology installation of Sanglah Hospital Denpasar. The next PDH manufacturing process for radiographers is recommended using short-sleeved PDH.

Abstract

Screening is ordinary process airport passanger was machine baggage. X-ray radiation gives impact to eye because eye sensitive of radiation. Many kinds of eye strain symptom got by screening worker such eye poignant. It is neressary to give  intervention to decrease the radiation exposure and eye strain for worker by increasing lead shielding on the fluoroscopy machine baggage and setting of worker distance toward the source of radiation.             Experimental research with pre-post test control group design. A sampel of 30 people were taken with a simple randomized method which was subdivided into group 1 as a control group without the additional treatment of lead shielding and working distance regulation of the radiation source, group 2 with the addition of a shielding and setting distance as far as 2 m. the study was conducted in August 2017. The variables evaluated were exposure to the received radiation of workes and the strain of the workers eyes.             The result of the research is a combination of  lead shielding on machine baggage fluoroscopy and setting of working distance to X ray source at X International Ariport significantly (p<0,05) in decreasing radiation exposure received by worker equal to 74,59% and worker eye strain 68,85% for a distance of 1,5 m and decreased radiation exposure to the workers as much as 93, 69% and the eye strain on the worker 89,79% at a distance of 2 m from the radiation source.             Concluded that the combination of increasing lead shielding and the setting of worker distance toward the source of radiation decrease thr radiation exposure and eye strain on the screening worker at X International airport.

Abstract

Radiology Installation is a unit of medical support services in a health facility that has a function as a means of patient diagnosis. In RSUP Sanglah there are 5 units of radiology sub-section such as Central Radiology, IRD, Wing Amerta, Central Surgery Room and Cath Lab Room which all have a goal of providing quality diagnostic value to patients and society. Problems occurring within the radiology unit are the incidence of work-related musculoskeletal complaints, increased general fatigue in workers, as well as decreased speed of examination by radiographers in service. This can be caused by a mismatch between the work tool and its users. Research has been conducted with intervention of redesign of X-ray tube handling through user anthropometry aims to know how big the effect of X-ray tube grip design improvement to musculoskeletal complaints, general fatigue and increased examination speed by radiographer. The subject anthropometry data is used as the basis for redesigning the X-ray tube handle. The design of the study using Treatment By Subject Designs with a large sample of 12 people who became the control group as well as the intervention group. Subjects were subjected to redesigned X-ray tube handles or grips that have been improved in shape and design more ergonomically adapted to the anthropometry of the subject body. Musculoskeletal complaints were assessed with Nordic Body Map questionnaires from NIOSH Japan, generalized fatigue disorder with 30 general fatigue items, and the examination speed by radiographers was obtained by measuring the time of the radiologic treatment on the number of checks performed. Shapiro - Wilk test was performed to determine the normality of data at significance level (? = 0,05). Differential comparative test between pre-repair and post-design improvement of musculoskeletal complaints, general fatigue and speed of examination using paired t-test at significance level ? = 0.05 It was found that in the intervention group the use of redesigned X-ray tubes could significantly decrease musculoskeletal complaints (p <0.05) by 10.42%, significantly reducing general fatigue by 22.38% (p <0.05 ) and increased the examination rate by 12.50% (p <0.05). Thus it can be concluded that the improved X-ray tube handle design can decrease musculoskeletal complaints, reduce general fatigue and increase the speed of inspection by radiographers at Sanglah Hospital Denpasar.

Abstract

Tidur merupakan kebutuhan dasar manusia agar memiliki fungsi tubuh yang optimal. Kualitas tidur yang buruk dapat mengaktivasi sistem saraf simpatis yang menyebabkan peningkatan tekanan darah. Penelitian sebelumnya di dapatkan hasil bahwa lansia yang memiliki kualitas tidur yang buruk cenderung memiliki tekanan darah tinggi dibandingkan dengan lansia yang memiliki kualiatas tidur yang baik. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kualitas tidur dengan tekanan darah pada wanita lansia di Denpasar Timur. Rancangan penelitian menggunakan cross sectional analitik. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Maret-April 2019. Jumlah sampel adalah sebanyak 67 wanita lansia yang berusia 60-74 tahun.  Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Variabel independen adalah kualitas tidur seseorang dan variabel dependen adalah tekanan darah. Teknik analisis yang digunakan yaitu uji Chi-Square.  Hasil penelitian kualitas tidur terhadap tekanan darah sistolik adalah 0,000 (p < 0,005) dan kualitas tidur terhadap tekanan darah diastolik adalah 0,001 (p < 0,005) yang berarti adanya hubungan kualitas tidur terhadap tekanan darah pada wanita lansia di Denpasar Timur. Kata Kunci: Kualitas Tidur, Tekanan Darah, Lansia.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Posisi berdiri lama dapat menimbulkan keluhan otot pada pemotong kain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahuiapakah pengaruh pedal exercise dan peregangan otot betis lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan nilai ambang nyeri ototbetis pada pemotong kain yang diukur dengan sphygmomanometer. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental, denganrancangan penelitian randomized pre and post test control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 orang yangdibagi menjadi kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol. Kelompok perlakuan mendapatkan pedal exercise danperegangan otot betis, sedangkan kelompok kontrol tidak mendapatkan perlakuan apapun. Uji hipotesis dengan pairedsample t-test pada kelompok perlakuan didapatkan hasil p=0,000 dengan beda rerata 30,00±16,99, artinya terdapatpeningkatan nilai ambang nyeri yang bermakna. Sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol didapatkan hasil p=0,758 denganbeda rerata 1,00±9,94, artinya tidak terdapat peningkatan nilai ambang nyeri yang bermakna. Uji perbandingan denganindependent sample t-test didapatkan beda selisih p=0,000 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, dapat ditarikkesimpulan bahwa pedal exercise dan peregangan otot betis lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan nilai ambang nyeri ototbetis pada pemotong kain. Kata Kunci: pedal exercise, stretching, nyeri otot betis, pemotong kain.
