Abstract

Located in Tegal Village, Kemang District, Bogor Regency, SMP Negeri 1 Kemang is the only secondary school for the children from the surrounding villages. The local government has the expectation for the school to excel in various aspects, such as to develop the school to be a Secondary School with Exemplary Character. The development of Kantin Kejujuran (lit: Honesty Canteen) is expected to raise the students? awareness of the importance of honesty. The development began in 2017, and it focused on the development of physical facilities. Along such development, initial assessment on the perception of students and teachers towards the value of honesty was conducted using the Likert scale. Open questionnaires were distributed to get the general idea of teachers and students? expectation towards Kantin Kejujuran. In the designing process, it was found that there are similarities between the students? and teachers? perceptions towards the value of honesty, in which it is considered important and needs to be developed. The procedure of using Kantin Kejujuran in accordance with the characteristics of the students needed to be developed from 2018.

Abstract

In learning Indonesian language and literature needs to take into consideration the involvement of students in creative process. Students are capable of listening the literary works and appreciate them. The implementation of listening learning can be successful if it is employing a contextual approach. This study describes: (1) the needs of teachers and students in developing interactive media in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools; (2) the arrangement of interactive media prototype employing contextual approach in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools; (3) the effectiveness of interactive media employing contextual approach in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools; (4) the acceptance of interactive media employing contextual approach in listening learning of drama for students in Vocational High Schools based on stakeholders? responses.The research employs Research and Development (R D) study that conducts some steps developed by Borg and Gall, as follows: 1) the exploratory study that includes literature review, field study and the initial phases in creating prototype design, 2) the development phase of new learning media, 3) the experiment phase that is to test the effectiveness of old media and new media in listening learning of drama, 4) the acceptance test of new learning media to public. The data was collected and tested its effectiveness with the T-Test statistical analysis.The results of this research show that; (1) teachers and students find difficulties to employ interactive media in listening learning of drama in accordance with the students? basic competence and lesson plan, (2) the prototype of interactive learning media is developed, (3) the students? learning outcome of listening learning of drama can be improved with the help of interactive media compared with the learning without it and this is proved by the results of limited field trial and field trial, (4) the interactive media can be accepted by public and has more advantages than the old media according to the result of acceptance test.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe: (1) use of diction in public service advertisements on the radio, (2) use of the style language public service advertisements on the radio, and (3) the relevance of the study with teaching material in junior high school. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The data source in this research is the recorded public service announcements that were broadcast by radio Gesma. Sampling using a purposive sampling. Engineering data collection using the technique, refer to the record, record, and in-depth interviews. The validity of this research data using triangulation of data sources and theories. This research data analysis using the method of Flow Model of Analysis. The results of the analysis of the findings regarding the use of diction and style of advertising language is described as follows. The first use of diction public service advertisements on the radio is dominated by the word gaul. The use of the words based on the context of the speech, target audience, purpose and message delivery information the ad with an interesting language and communicative, and easily understood by the audience. Second, the use of stylistic rhetoric dominates the results. The use of stylistic variation, giving a characteristic flavor, and the value on ads aired. Third, the research results in the form of diction and style of language in public service advertisements on the radio can be direlevansikan on a language learning curriculum revision in 2013 Indonesia junior high school class VIII.

Abstract

This research aims to describe: (1) contained structure in Kebumen folklore; (2) the educational value found in Kebumen folklore; (3) the relevance of educational value on Kebumen folklore with literary learning materials in junior high school. This research includes qualitative research using case study (observation and interview) and analyzing several documents in the object form of folklore study in Kebumen regency related with interview result with resource persons related to folklore, and result of interview with teacher and student. Data analysis techniques using interactive model analysis techniques namely data reduction, presentation, and withdrawal of conclusions or verification.The results of this research are: (1) the story structure that contained in the three folklore in Kebumen Regency includes (a) themes, (b) characters and characterization, (c) background, (d) plot, and (e)the message of the story; (2) the educational values that contained in three Kebumen Regency folklore include (a) the value of social education, (b) the value of moral education, (c) the value of religious education, (d) the value of custom/traditional education, and (e) the value of heroic education; (3) the relevance of educational value to folklore with literary learning materials in junior high school according to the criteria of Basic Competence and Keynote Competence and contains a moral value in it.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe diction (word choise, figure of a speech, imagery of Dari Hari Ke Hari?s novel by Mahbub Djunaidi, and the relevance of the results of studies as Bahasa Indonesia teaching material for the Senior High School. This study is a qualitative descriptive with content analysis method. The result showed that. First, the use of diction (choice words) includes concrete words, connotative words, word greetings or self-names, vulgar words, words of absorption, regional vocabulary, and words with natural reality. Second, the use of language style (Figure of a speech) includes simile, metaphor, personification, depersonification, allegory, antithesis, pleonasme, periprasis, anticipation, epanortosis, satire, paradox, climax, anti-climax, allusion, atonomation, eroteris, asyndeton, polisedenton, epizeukis, anaphora, and epystrofa. Third, the use of imagery includes visual imagery, motion imagery, olfactory imagery, tactical imagery, and auditory images. Fourth, Dari Hari Ke Hari?s novel can be used as a teaching material in high school literature class XII curriculum of 2013, ie at base competence understand the structure and rules of novel text.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and explain: (1) the form of illocutionary speech acts in Putu Wijaya?s Peace drama script dialogue; (2) the function of illocutionary speech acts in Putu Wijaya?s Peace drama script dialogue; and (3) the relevance of illocutionary speech acts in Putu Wijaya?s Peace drama script dialogue and literature teaching materials in senior high school. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with type of pragmatic approach. Sources of data was a document which is the Putu Wijaya?s Peace drama script dialogue. The technique for taking the subject of this research was done by purposive sampling. Data collection was done by document analysis. Theory triangulation is Searle?s illocutionary speech acts and data sources triangulation in the form of informants was used for validity test of the data. Data analysis in this study was using data analysis according to Miles and Huberman with the flow model. The results of the study are as follows. First, from five form of illocutionary speech acts, the most dominant form is directif form. Second, the most dominant fuction of illocutionary speech acts is directif requestives fuction and directif requirements function. Third, the Putu Wijaya?s Peace drama script dialogue fulllied three important aspects of teaching materials (1) language aspects; (2)psychology aspects; and (3) culture based  aspects; and the curriculum that been used.

Abstract

The aim of the research are describe (1) influence of the author background in the novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata; (2) readers response to novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata; (3) character education value of the novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata: (4) relevance novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata with literature education in junior high school.This research is qualitative descriptive research and the method used contents analysis. The research approach used sociological approach of literature and literary reception. The results are (1) influences of the author backgrouds which are social culture, family, education and profesion, and author religion; (2) the response of readers of the novel Sirkus Pohoninclude ideal readers dan ordinary readers. The ideal readers category argue that the novel contains many lessons that can be learned for the readers so its worth reading. Theordinary readers state that the novel is a good and interesting novel. (3) value character education of novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata are religious, hardwork, sosial care, and responsible: (4) relevance novel Sirkus Pohon by Andrea Hirata with learning literature in junior high school are comformity guidelines for evaluating enrichment tekxbooks from department of education and culture Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: (1) social background novel Kambing dan Hujan, (2) the social background of the author, (3) a response from readers based on social background, (4) the value of tolerance, (5) the relevance of novel Kambing dan Hujan with teaching materials appreciation of literature in high school. This study is a qualitative research approach of sociology of literature. The data collection technique used is the analysis of documents and interviews. Analysis of the data used is an interactive model. The conclusions of this study are: (1) aspects of social background in the novel: habits, customs, traditions, ways of thinking and behaving, beliefs, and outlook on life; (2) social background author: born in Lamongan, East Java, on May 7, 1980. Living in Yogyakarta and work as a novelist, editor, and facilitator in Bengkel Menulis Gerakan Literasi Indonesia. Novel Kambing dan Hujan written based on the experience of author when living in the region of origin; (3) a response from the reader, the novel nice and attractive and provide a positive influence; (4) the value of tolerance in the novel: the value of tolerance to the habit, circumstances, views, and behavior; (5) novel Kambing dan Hujan relevant with teaching materials appreciation of literature in high school because having already qualified identification of teaching material learning and in accordance with the teaching materials in the syllabus Indonesian subjects Curriculum 2013 revised edition 2016.

Abstract

The aims of this research are to describe the intrinsic structure of folklore, the heroism value of folklore, and relevance as literary teaching materials in junior high school. This research used qualitative description method with content analysis approach. The data sources are folklore texts, places and cultural heritage, and informants. Folklore used in this research are Asal Mula Nama Karanganyar, Perjuangan Raden Mas Said, and Joko Songo. Selected as the sample using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. The technique of data collection are documents analysis and interview. The data validity technique used are source and method triangulation. The technique of data analysis using interactive model of analysis that includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. The result of this research are, (1) the structure contained in folklore in Karanganyar includes themes, characters, plot, setting, and message, (2) found 15 heroism value in folklore in Karanganyar District, (3) the folklore in Karanganyar is relevance with teaching materials in the junior high school.

Abstract

Pemberian beasiswa khususnya universitas sudah banyak ditawarkan kepada mahasiswa, beasiswa yang diberikan yaitu berupa beasiswa PPA dan BBM. Beberapa permasalahan yang sering terjadi misalnya pada proses penyeleksian yang kurang akurat karena banyaknya mahasiswa yang mendaftarkan beasiswa dengan menyesuaikan terhadap kriteria yang ada serta proses seleksi yang masih manual karena data mahasiswa akan dibandingkan satu per satu dengan kriteria beasiswa sehingga proses seleksi membutuhkan ketelitian dan waktu maka hal ini tidak efisien. Aplikasi system pendukung keputusan merupakan solusi untuk mengatasi masalah penentuan penerima beasiswa. Aplikasi ini menggunakan metode Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), metode SAW dipilih karena metode ini menentukan bobot dari setiap kriteria yang telah ditentukan kemudian dilanjutkan dalam proses normaliasi sesuai dengan persamaan yang ada pada metode SAW lalu dilanjutkan dengan proses perangkingan untuk menyeleksi alternatif terbaik, dalam hal ini yang dimaksud adalah mahasiswa yang berhak menerima beasiswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan penentuan penerima beasiswa dengan metode  SAW (simple additive weighting). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari aplikasi sistem pendukung keputusan penentuan penerima beasiswa dengan simple additive weighting (SAW) ini memudahkan bagian seleksi beasiswa untuk penentuan penerima beasiswa sesuai kriteria yang ada, lebih cepat dan tepat sasaran sesuai yang diharapkan.
