Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan penerapan klasifikasi berbasis obyek (OBIA) untuk pemetaan zona geomorfologi ekosistem terumbu karang di Pulau Pari. Penerapan metode OBIA menggunakan algoritma multiresolusi segmentasi dengan parameter skala yang berbeda pada setiap level. Metode klasifikasi yang digunakan untuk level 1 dan 2 dengan klasifikasi kontekstual. Hasil menunjukkan akurasi keseluruhan untuk level 1 (level terumbu) sebesar 97% dan level 2 sebesar 87% (zona geomorfologi). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa metode OBIA mampu memetakan dengan baik dan dapat menjadi metode alternatif pada pemetaan zona geomorfologi ekosistem terumbu karang untuk di wilayah lainnya.Kata Kunci: Segmentasi, OBIA, Zona geomorfologi, Pulau Pari

Abstract

This study used multiscale classification and applied object-based image analysis (OBIA) for geomorphic zone and benthic habitats mapping in Pari islands. An optimized segmentation was performed to get optimum classification result. Classification methods for level 1 and 2 used contextual editing classification and for level 3 used support vector machines classifier. The results showed that overall accuracy for level 1 was 97% (reef level), level 2 was 87% (geomorphic zone), and level 3 was 75% (benthic habitats). Accuracy achieved by support vector machines classification was performed only in level 3 and optimum scale value achieved was 50 in compare with other scale values, i.e. 5, 25, 50, 75, 95. OBIA methods can be used as an alternative for geomorphic zone and benthic habitats map. Abstrak Penelitian ini menggunakan klasifikasi multiskala dan penerapan analisis citra berbasis obyek (OBIA) untuk pemetaan zona geomorfologi dan habitat bentik di Pulau Pari. Analisis berbasis obyek dilakukan optimasi pada proses segmentasi untuk mendapatkan hasil klasifikasi optimal. Metode klasifikasi pada level 1 dan 2 menggunakan klasifikasi contextual editing dan pada level 3 menggunakan klasifikasi Support Vector Machines (SVM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan akurasi keseluruhan pada level 1 yaitu 97% (reef level), level 2 yaitu 87% (Geomorphic level), dan level 3 yaitu 75% (benthic habitat level). Klasifikasi SVM hanya diterapkan pada level 3 dan nilai skala optimum sebesar 50 dari percobaan nilai skala yaitu 5, 25, 50, 75, 95. Metode OBIA dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif untuk pemetaan zona geomorfologi dan habitat bentik.

Abstract

The development of preservation of the turtle ecotourism area at Tapak Paderi Beach by increasing the skill and innovative soft skills for out-of-school youth is the goal achieved in this community service. Through the Appreciative inquiry methods approach with the stages of team coordination, turtle counseling socialization and education, the introduction of basic welding techniques, making RUBAH and turtle aquascape. Overall results achieved are the implementation of socialization activities, training and guidance for school dropouts besides being realized in the implementation of basic techniques of small library welding (RUBAH), turtle aquascape making and broken youths to become tourist education guides for domestic and foreign tourists.

Abstract

Shallow marine waters comprise diverse benthic types forming habitats for reef fish community, which important for the livelihood of coastal and small island inhabitants. Satellite imagery provide synoptic map of benthic habitat and further utilized to estimate reef fish stock. The objective of this research was to estimate reef fish stock in complex coral reef of Pulau Pari, by utilizing high resolution satellite imagery of the WorldView-2 in combination with field data such as visual census of reef fish. Field survey was conducted between May-August 2013 with 160 sampling points representing four sites (north, south, west, and east). The image was analy-zed and grouped into five classes of benthic habitats i.e., live coral (LC), dead coral (DC), sand (Sa), seagrass (Sg), and mix (Mx) (combination seagrass+coral and seagrass+sand). The overall accuracy of benthic habitat map was 78%. Field survey revealed that the highest live coral cover (58%) was found at the north site with fish density 3.69 and 1.50 ind/m2at 3 and 10 m depth, respectively. Meanwhile, the lowest live coral cover (18%) was found at the south site with fish density 2.79 and 2.18  ind/m2 at 3 and 10 m depth, respectively. Interpolation on fish density data in each habitat class resulted in standing stock reef fish estimation:  LC (5,340,698 ind), DC (56,254,356 ind), Sa (13,370,154 ind), Sg (1,776,195 ind) and Mx (14,557,680 ind). Abstract

Pulau Enggano dengan luas ± 400,6 km2 (± 40.600 hektar) adalah sebuah pulau kecil terluar di Provinsi Bengkulu yang terletak di Perairan Barat Sumatera, dan termasuk wilayah Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara. Salah satu sumberdaya alam yang dominan di Pulau Enggano adalah ekosistem terumbu karang yang memberikan manfaat begitu besar bagi kehidupan masyarakat di Pulau Enggano. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung valuasi ekonomi ekosistem terumbu karang di Pulau Enggano, untuk kepentingan perencanaan pemanfaatan dan pengelolaan secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan Metode Survai. Data parameter kualitas air dikumpulkan dengan pengukuran langsung di lokasi penelitian. Data untuk menghitung nilai keberadaan ekosistem terumbu karang dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara terhadap 180 orang responden yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Nilai ekonomi total ekosistem terumbu karang dianalisis dan dihitung berdasarkan nilai manfaat langsung, nilai manfaat tidak langsung, nilai manfaat pilihan dan nilai manfaat warisan. Nilai rata-rata parameter perairan di perairan Pulau Enggano secara berturut-turut adalah suhu (29,660C), salinitas (35,06 ?), kuat arus (2,13 m/s), kecerahan 5,33 m), Oksigen Terlarut/DO (7,39 mg/l), dan pH (7,13). Nilai parameter perairan menunjukkan kondisi perairan yang masih baik dan belum tercemar sehingga dapat mendukung keberadaan dan pertumbuhan ekosistem terumbu karang di Perairan Pulau Enggano. Luas ekosistem terumbu karang di Pulau Enggano ± 5.097 hektar. Nilai manfaat ekonomi total ekosistem terumbu karang adalah Rp. 176.901.038.387,- per tahun, yang terdiri dari nilai manfaat langsung Rp. 561.327.640,- per tahun; nilai manfaat tidak langsung Rp. 46.342.500.000,- per tahun, nilai manfaat pilihan Rp. 2.516.077.983,- , nilai manfaat keberadaan Rp. 127.425.000.000,- per tahun dan nilai warisan Rp. 56.132.764,- per tahun.ECONOMIC VALUATION OF CORAL REEF IN ENGGANO ISLAND, NORTH BENGKULU REGENCY, BENGKULU PROVINCE. Enggano Island with area of ± 400.6 km2 (± 40,600 hectares) is an the outer  small island in Bengkulu Province that located in the West Coast of Sumatra, and include of North Bengkulu Regency. One of the dominant natural resources in Enggano Island is a coral reef ecosystem that provides enormous benefits to people's lives in Enggano Island. This study aims to calculate the economic valuation of coral reef ecosystems in Enggano Island, for stake of planning, utilization and sustainable management. This research is done by Survey Method. The data of water quality parameter was collected by direct measurement at the study location. Data to calculate the existence value of coral reef ecosystem was collected by interview method to 180 respondents that chosen by purposive sampling. The total economic value of coral reef ecosystems is analyzed and calculated based on the direct value, indirect value, option value and bequest value. The average values of water parameters in Enggano Island waters are (29,66 oC), salinity (35.06 ?), current speed (2.13 m/s), water brightness (5.33 m), Oxygen Dissolved (7.39 mg / l), and pH (7.13). The parameters of waters shows the condition of the waters are still good and not contaminated so it can support the existence and growth of coral reef ecosystems in Enggano Island waters. The wide of coral reef ecosystem in Enggano  Island ± 5,097 hectares. The total economic value of coral reef ecosystem is Rp.176,901,038,387,- per year, that consisting of direct value Rp. 561,327,640,- per year; indirect value Rp. 46,342,500,000, - per year, the option value Rp. 2,516,077,983, - per year, the existence value Rp. 127.425.000.000,- and the bequest  value Rp. 56,132,764,- per year.
