Abstract

As a foreign language, English is not easy language to be learnt. English has four important skills to be mastered. To master the four skills, we have to master the grammar as the basic. Based on the statement above, the objective of this study is to find out the correlation between the students ability in using past tense and in their recount text recognition at the eighth grade students of SMP N 2 Mirit, Kebumen in the academic year of 2012/2013. The type of this research is descriptive quantitative research. The number of the population in this research is 192 students. The number of the sample is 32 students. The instrument that used to collect the data is a test. There were 35 questions to be tested. The data was analyzed by using descriptive analysis and inferential statistic.The research data were analyzed by using product moment Pearson. The results of this research are as follows, the average score of the student?s ability in using past is 65. The average score of the student?s recount text recognition is 76.87. The result of correlation from the formula was 0.159.It shows that the correlation between the studentsability in using past tense and recount text  recognition was very low category.The finding shown above can be proved that the amount of samples (N=32) and the level of significance (5%), the result of the computation done both manually and SPSS is 0.159. Based on the value in the table r product moment, the computation shows that robatined was lower than rtable (ro<rt) that is 0.159 < 0.339 and it is categorized as very low correlation. It means that there is a significance correlation between the students? ability in using simple past tense and in their recount text recognition at the eighth grade students of SMP N 2 MiritKebumen in the academic year of 2012/2013 but the significance value is very low correlation. Abstract

The study aimed at finding out in dept about the interaction between Problem Posing model assisted with Autograph Software with the student?s gender  to students' mathematical communication ability. This study used quantitative research with quasi experimental method. The approach used was a scientific one. The population of this study were all the Class X students of MAN Kisaran. The sample in this study were the students of class X-IPA1 and X-IPA-2 in MAN Kisaran of Asahan Regency. This study was conducted in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Data analysis was done by 2-way ANOVA test. Based on the statistical calculation, it can be concluded that the value of Fcount<Ftable is 0.778 <3.12. This shows that Fcount<Ftable(0.778 <3.12) is not significant so that it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected which means there is no interaction between learning with students? gender. The finding of students? actitivity aspects is based on direct observation. Female students are more active in learning but are weaker in reasoning, meanwhile Male ones are quick in reasoning but are less active in learning.

Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematik antara siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran Inkuiri berbantuan Autograph dan siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Ekspositori berbantuan Autograph, (2) Interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematika siswa (tinggi, sedang dan rendah) terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa, (3) Perbedaan kemandirian belajar siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran melalui model pembelajaran Inkuiri berbantuan Autograph  dan siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran Ekspositori berbantuan Autograph (4) Interaksi antara model pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal matematika siswa (tinggi, sedang dan rendah) terhadap kemandirian belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian semi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Pematangsiantar, analisis data yang digunakan ANAVA dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematik dan kemandirian belajar siswa antara siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran inkuiri berbantuan Autograph dengan siswa yang memperoleh model pembelajaran ekspositori berbantuan Autograph, (2) Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran yang digunakan dan kemampuan awal matematika siswa terhadap kemampuan komuniksi matematik siswa dan kemandirian belajar siswa. Kata kunci: inkuiri, ekspositori, autograph, komunikasi matematis, kemandirian belajar

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen dalam bentuk quasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X MAN kisaran. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-IPA1 dan X-IPA-2 di MAN Kisaran kabupaten Asahan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada semester genap tahun pelajaran 2017/2018. Pada X-IPA-1 sebanyak 11 siswa laki-laki dan 25 siswa perempuan, dan pada kelas X-IPA-2 sebanayak 9 siswa laki-laki dan 27 siswa perempuan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk melihat, Peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran problem possing dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis data dilakukan dengan uji ANAVA 2 jalur. Berdasarkan perhitungan statistik dapat disimpulkan bahwa  pada model pembelajaran diperoleh Fhitung > Ftabel yaitu 12,027 > 4.00 maka untuk uji hipotesis tolak H0 terima Ha, yaitu terdapat peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran pembelajaran problem possing berbantuan software Autograph dengan siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Pendekatan Model Pembelajaran Problem Possing Berbantuan Software Autograph  masih baru bagi siswa MAN Kisaran, tetapi dengan guru bertindak sebagai fasilitator akhirnya siswa dapat menyelesaikan semua permasalahan dalam LAS dengan baik.Kata Kunci: Problem Possing, Software Autograph, Kemampuan KomunikasiMatematis

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat interaksi  antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal matematik siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematik siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah semi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Swasta Al-Istiqomah Kec. Tanah Jawa.  Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 kelas eksperimen yaitu kelompok eksperimen 1 kelas X  SMK TKJ dengan jumlah 34 orang dan kelompok Eksperimen 2 kelas X TKR dengan jumlah 34 orang. Hasil analisis data terhadap tes kemampuan awal, tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang homogen. Selanjutnya untuk menjawab rumusan masalah digunakan ANAVA dua jalur. Dari hasil perhitungan ANAVA didapat kesimpulan bahwa: Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan awal matematika siswa terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Kata kunci: Interaksi, kemampuan Awal, komunikasi matematis

Abstract

Abstract: Many ways taken by the government to realize the human resources of Indonesia with intellectual ability that can compete with the region even with other countries, one of them with a Mathematics Olympiad held both elementary / MI, SMP / MTs., SMA / SMK / MA even the level of Students . But sometimes those who can enjoy the Olympics are only certain schools. This is due to the lack of socialization conducted by the government regarding such activities as well as the factor of the school itself which still has a sense of inferior to compete with other schools. The purpose of this training activity is to improve the ability of students to solve Mathematics Olympic questions. The implementation of this activity was carried out at SMAN 2 Tanjung Balai, with the method of providing training and training strategies prepared by the writing team. the results of the training, that students are very enthusiastic in discussing Mathematical Olympiad problems with the tricks provided and they can easily answer the questions given without the constraints which means are expected to produce new seeds from the winners of the Mathematics Olympiad. Keywords: Training, Problem Prediction, Mathematics Olympiad.  Abstrak: Banyak cara yang ditempuh oleh pemerintah untuk mewujudkan sumber daya manusia Indonesia dengan kemampuan intelektual yang dapat bersaing dengan daerah bahkan dengan Negara lain, salah satunya dengan diadakan Olimpiade Matematika baik tingkat SD/MI, SMP/MTs., SMA/SMK/MA bahkan tingkat Mahasiswa. Namun terkadang yang bisa menikmati kegiatan olimpiade tersebut hanyalah sekolah-sekolah tertentu saja. Hal tersebut disebabkan masih kurangmya sosialisasi yang dilakukan pemerintah mengenai kegiatan tersebut serta faktor dari sekolah itu sendiri yang masih memiliki rasa minder untuk bersaing dengan sekolah-sekolah lain. Tujuan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal Olimpiade Matematika. Penyelenggaraan kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMAN 2 Tanjung Balai, dengan metode memberikan pelatihan dan strategi pelatihan yang sudah disiapkan oleh tim penulis. hasil pelatihan tersebut, bahwa siswa sangat antusias dalam membahas soal-soal Olimpiade Matematika dengan  trik yang diberikan dan mereka pun dapat dengan mudah menjawab soal-soal yang diberikan tanpa kendala yang berarti diharapkan mampu menghasilkan bibit-bibit baru dari pemenang Olimpiade Matematika. Kata Kunci : Pelatihan, Prediksi Soal, Olimpiade Matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is influence inusing Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on the students mathematical problem solving ability in opportunity material class X of SMKS Abdi Negoro in the academic year2018/2019. This type of research is quasi-experimental research design with two group pre-test and posttest. The population in this study was all classX consisting of 6 class. The reseearch sample consisted of 2 classes (class X TKJ 1 and TKJ 2) which were taken by cluster random sampling. In class X TKJ2 as control class using the Direct Teaching model and in class X TKJ1 as an experimental class using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model. After learning was given,posttest was obtained with the result of the experimental class average 84,00 and the control class was 78,73. The result of ttestwas obtained that t_count = 2,49> t_table = 1,67 then Ha was accepted.Thus,there is effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) modelon student?s mathematical problem solving ability in opportunity materialat class X of SMKSAbdi Negoro.Keywords: Model Problem Based Learning (PBL), Direct Teaching model, Opportunity.
