Abstract

Teluk Jakarta merupakan kawasan padat dengan berbagai aktivitas sehingga menjadi tempat berkumpulnya polutan dari daratan yang ditransport melalui 13 sungai yang mengalir di wilayah DKI Jakarta. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan proses dan sumber logam berat melalui perbandingan profil sebaran logam berat terlarut dan terendapkan pada bulan September di Perairan Teluk Jakarta. Penelitian logam berat terlarut dan terendapkan di perairan Teluk Jakarta telah dilakukan pada bulan September 2014. Analisis logam berat terlarut dan sedimen mengikuti prosedur (APHA 2012). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi fisika-kimia perairan Teluk Jakarta untuk suhu berkisar 28,9-30,2 ºC, salinitas berkisar 29,5-30,6 psu, derajat keasaman (pH) berkisar 7,80-8,17 dan partikel tersuspensi (TSS) berkisar 25-68 mg/l. Logam berat terlarut untuk Pb berkisar 0,006-0,016 ppm, Cd berkisar 0,001-0,003 ppm, Cu berkisar 0,001-0,005 ppm, Ni berkisar 0,001-0,016 ppm dan Zn berkisar 0,003-0,097 ppm. Logam berat sedimen untuk Pb berkisar 24,86-59,32 ppm, Cd berkisar 0,32-3,49 ppm, Cu berkisar 11,42-67 ppm, Ni berkisar 19,80-39,85 ppm dan Zn berkisar 26,14,8-241,01 ppm. Sebaran logam berat terlarut yang diperkuat dengan sebaran logam berat dalam sedimen mengindikasikan sumber logam berat di perairan Teluk Jakarta sebagian besar berasal dari input materi dari daratan.

Abstract

Pengelolaan sumberdaya perikanan rumput laut jenis Eucheuma cottonii harus dilakukan dengan memperhatikan daya dukung perairan (waters carrying capacity) dengan tujuan untuk menentukan kapasitas optimum budidaya rumput laut. Pendekatan yang dapat digunakan untuk menentukan daya dukung adalah dengan analisis ecological footprint (EF), dimana pada penelitian ini adalah footprint produksi. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Oktober 2016 untuk memetakan dan menganalisis daya dukung perairan di Kabupaten Sinjai, Sulawesi Selatan dengan sistem informasi geografis dan pendekatan ecological footprint. Berdasarkan hasil analisis daya dukung perairan di Kabupaten Sinjai menunjukkan bahwa tingkat pemanfaatan perairan (EFP) adalah 4.68 ton/kapita/tahun atau setara dengan 6,223.49 ton/tahun, sedangkan ketersediaan ruang perairan (biocapacity/BC) adalah 32,607.28 hektar yang mampu untuk memproduksi rumput laut sebanyak 483,446.09 ton/tahun. Apabila menggunakan asumsi bahwa pemanfaatan seluruh ketersediaan lahan perairan yang ada (32,607,28 hektar), maka daya dukung jumlah sumberdaya manusia yang mungkin untuk dapat memanfaatkan lahan tersebut adalah 10,839 kapita.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to analyze the suitability of the waters and environmental carrying capacity for utilization of marine aquaculture. Analysis of the data using conformity matrix is based on the physical-chemical parameters of the waters. Analysis of environmental carrying capacity performed to estimate the number of units that can be supported on the cultivation potential areas. The analysis is done by desk study approach, surveys and direct measurements. The analysis showed: (a) the condition of the waters of small islands around Makassar suitable for utilization of aquaculture, and (b) The water potential for seaweed cultivation around 110,012.6 ha, and the effective area about 243.225 ha. Broad potential area for grouper aquaculture by floating net system is approximately 1961.3 ha, and an effective area approximately about 209.97 ha. The results of this analysis are expected to be useful as: (1) a material consideration in the formulation of investment policy and research, (2) a reference for the public and private sectors in developing of sustainable aquaculture system effort.

Abstract

Makassar city, as a capital of South Sulawesi Province, has potential natural resources with its moderately sloped sandy beach, from north to south. The aims of this research is to identify the potential of oastal tourism in makassar city using GIS spatial analysis. The methods which is used in this study is spatial analysis using GIS. The result hows that Makassar coastal divided into three types, these are: (1) sandy beach, (2) mangrove beach and (3) reclamation beach. Those kind of beaches can be recommended for some tourism activities such as: (1) sandy beach: snorkeling, beach sport, beach volley ball and beach football, beach picnic, swimming, sun bathing, surfing, (2) mangrove beach: field study and (3) reclamation beach: fishing, walking and jogging on beach.Makassar city, as a capital of South Sulawesi Province, has potential natural resources with its moderately sloped sandy beach, from north to south. Abstract

Development of the region by Minapolitan approach as a fisheries development concept cannot be applied partially but should be holistic developed by developing all the availability in cities to the rural areas. This study aims to understand the structure and pattern of regional economic growth and to find out the potency and competitiveness of the area as a priority for fisheries development center in Gorontalo Province. This study uses Klassen and Shift-Share (S-S) typology analysis. Area that has the better economic structure is Pohuwato Regency. This region has Gross Regional Domestic Bruto (GRDB) per capita above the provincial value, however economic development still below the provincial level (high income but low growth) or categorized as developed region but stressed category. Boalemo Regency, Pohuwato Regency and Bone Bolango Regency have almost equal fishery development value, which are 18.6%, 16.2% and 12.7% respectively. Gorontalo Regency grow only as large as 7.4 %. Abstract

Abstract. Numerical hydrodynamics model MOHID based on General Ocean Turbulence Model formula was used to study the tidal current in Makassar waters. The data used in this model are tidal elevation and bathymetry data from GEBCO. The tidal current simulation was conducted for 30 days. Model simulation results show that the tidal current velocity ranged between 0,001 m/s ? 0,012 m/s. The current velocity during neap tide is smaller than the velocity during spring tide. The pattern of tidal current in Makassar waters is dominantly flows towards westward and then turned heading northward direction. The simulation result of tide-induced residual current in verification point shows that the flows is ebb-dominant at a rate of 0,005 m/s heading westward direction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi mangrove serta mengetahui indeks nilai penting (INP) mangrove di Kabupaten Merauke. Indeks Nilai Penting (INP) ini digunakan untuk menetapkan dominasi suatu jenis terhadap jenis lainnya atau dengan kata lain. Indeks Nilai Penting dalam penelitian ini dihitung berdasarkan penjumlahan nilai Kerapatan Relatif (KR), Frekuensi Relatif (FR) dan Luas penutupan relatif (CR). Hasil penelitian didapatkan jumlah jenis mangrove 8 jenis mangrove pada Distrik Naukenjerai antara lain Avicennia alba, A. eucalyptifolia, Aegialitis annulata, Aegliceras floridum, Brugueira cylindrica, Acanthus ilicifolus, Sonneratia alba dan R. mukronata dengan jenis mangrove Avicennia sp lebih dominan, Distrik payum 11 jenis mangrove antara lain Avicennia alba, A. eucalyptifolia, Aegialitis annulata, Aegiceras corniculatum, Aegliceras floridum, Acanthus abractearus, Brugueira cylindrica, Acanthus ilicifolus, R. mukronata, R. stylosa, dan Sonneratia alba dengan jenis Avicennia sp lebih dominan sedangkan Distrik Kumbe didapatkan 13 jenis mangrove antara lain Avicennia alba, A. eucalyptifolia, Aegialitis annulata, Aegliceras floridum, Brugueira cylindrica, Acanthus ilicifolus, B. Gymnorhiza, B. Hainessii, Ceriop decandra, Bruguiera sexangula, R. mukronata, R. stylosa, dan Sonneratia alba dengan jenis mangrove Rhizophora sp lebih melimpah daripada yang lain. Hasil analisis Indek Nilai Penting penting mangrove pada stasiun I Kampung Nasem berkisar antara 300% -15% masuk dalam kategori tinggi. Pada Stasiun II Distrik Payum nilai INP berkisar antara 260%-27% memiliki nilai kategori tinggi sedangkan untuk stasiun III Distrik Kumbe nilai INP berkisar antara 235%-18%. Juga masuk kategori INP tinggi. Penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui identifikasi dan indeks nilai penting mangrove di Kabupaten Merauke.

Abstract

The damage of coastal ecosystems are no longer dominated by human activity, but the condition of global climate change were also influenced. Climate change impact on the environment influencing the coastal management paradigm. This study emphasizes on how to develop a adaptation strategy of coastal zone management due to the impact of climate change through remote sensing approach, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and adaptation strategies analysis. Location of research conducted in the Region of Segoro Anakan Bay, District Ngadirojo Pacitan. The results showed the impact of climate change is affecting the area and production of seaweed culture in the form of tectonic conditions aggravated by silting waters. To combat the effects of climate change, the adaptation scenario is implemented to intensification and extensification of land use, alternative livelihoods, minawisata as a combination of all three.

Abstract

Daya dukung perairan merupakan potensi perairan untuk memanfaatkan sumber daya pesisir atau ekosistem tanpa menimbulkan kerusakan dan dimanfaatkan secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya dukung perairan menampung limbah yang masuk dari kegiatan budidaya ikan kerapu pada keramba jaring apung perairan Teluk Awang dan Teluk Bumbang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada Bulan April sampai November 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survey dengan pengukuran langsung di perairan Teluk Awang dan Teluk Bumbang. Analisis daya dukung digunakan untuk mengestimasi beban limbah yang masuk ke perairan baik dari antropogenik maupun dari kegiatan budidaya ikan dalam keramba jaring apung. Hasil perhitungan estimasi daya dukung perairan Teluk Awang dan Teluk Bumbang berdasarkan total limbah N antropogenik sebesar 39,14 kg/hari dengan konsentrasi rata-rata NH3 sebesar 0,0081 mg/l pada Teluk Awang dan 0,0062 mg/l pada Teluk Bumbang. Estimasi jumlah unit keramba jaring yang dapat digunakan di Teluk Awang sebanyak 67 unit dan 248 unit keramba jaring apung yang dapat digunakan di Teluk Bumbang.

Abstract

Indonesia sebagai negara kepulauan memiliki banyak teluk. Teluk sebagai suatu estuaria tertutup memiliki peran strategis sebagai salah satu sumber daya ekologi dan layanan lingkungan. Paper ini mencoba menyajikan kriteria penentuan teluk menurut UNCLOS, dengan aplikasi langsung untuk wilayah Teluk Ekas - Pulau Lombok. Menurut UNCLOS, definisi teluk adalah bentukan laut yang menjorok ke arah daratan dengan luas area yang lebih besar daripada luasan setengah lingkaran berdiameter mulut lekukan di teluk tersebut. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa peta RBI produk dari Badan Informasi Geospasial (BIG) belum sepenuhnya mengacu pada kriteria teluk yang disyaratkan oleh UNCLOS.Kata Kunci: Kriteria Teluk, UNCLOS, Teluk EkasABSTRACT       Indonesia as an archipelagic country has many bays. As an enclosed estuary, bay area has a strategic role as source of ecological resources and other environmental services. This paper will present a criterion to determine the bay area under UNCLOS, with direct application to Ekas Bay-Lombok Island. According to the UNCLOS definition, the bay area is a marine formation which protrudes toward the mainland with an area larger than the area of the semi-circle had a diameter of curvature at the bay mouth. The results showed that the bay area in Topographic Maps from Agency of Geospatial Information (BIG) had not been fully refers to the criteria required by UNCLOS.Keywords: Bay criteria, UNCLOS, Ekas Bay
