Abstract

This research aims to describe logical thinking process of a logical-mathematical intelligence student. We employ qualitative method to disclose the subject?s learning process. Data are collected by interview and modified think aloud methods. The results show that subject has capability to find and organize problems and data correctly. Subject describes conditions that are needed to do the steps of problem solving strategy. The steps are done systematically until the end of problem solving process.

Abstract

Innovation is needed in learning to make meaningful learning, so the student constructs their ownknowledge from the learning experience of learning process. One of the innovations is to integrate Problem Based Learning model. Problem Based Learning involves students to be active in every problem. Eleven problems type in Problem Based Learning that have different solving steps, due to every student different metacognition character potential and can change by given treatment. This research is a pre-experimental design: the pretest-posttest control and experimental group design with embedded experimental design. The metacognition character data were analyzed qualitaively, whereas the average grade data were analyzed quantitatively. The analysis of metacognition character shows the different metacognition characters and on learning process there is improvement of student achievement from 14% to 84.4%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to create students? worksheet based on character values. This is an R & D research with model ADDIE instructional design model (analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation). The feasibility of worksheet was examined using a questionnaire. Based on the questionnaire results validity tested by the experts, the worksheet was declared to be valid and it is applicable to be used and tested, whereas the response of the teachers and students about the worksheet, it stated that the worksheet categorized as a very good one. Meanwhile the data of character development and students? skill on doing practical work that gained from the observation sheet. The results of the responses of teachers and students to worksheet in the criteria very good so it has good quality on student interest. While the results of the analysis of observation sheets scientific attitude and skills of students in conducting lab has a good criteria. Keyword: Based Worksheet, Chemistry, Senior High School.

Abstract

[Development of E-LKPD with Scientific Approach of Electrolyte and Non-Electrolyte Solutions] Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengembangan e-LKPD berpendekatan saintifik pada materi larutan elektrolit dan non elektrolit kimia SMA. Penelitian ini meliputi pengembangan e-LKPD dan respon siswa serta penilaian guru terhadap e-LKPD tersebut. Pengembangan e-LKPD menggunakan  desain 4-D yang meliputi 4 tahap pengembangan yaitu Define, Design, Development, dan Desseminate. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk memvalidasi berupa validasi materi dan validasi media serta angket respon siswa dan angket penilaian guru. Berdasarkan hasil respon siswa pada uji coba kelompok kecil diperoleh persentasi skor sebesar 81,7% dan melihat data tabel kriteria penilaian kualifikasi produk, maka produk yang dikembangkan oleh pengembang dapat dikategorikan sangat baik. Sedangkan pada uji coba kelompok besar diperoleh persentasi skor sebesar 82,3% yang mengidentifikasikan produk yang dikembangkan termasuk kategori sangat baik.

Abstract

Macroscopic and symbolic representation used in chemistry instruction to represent chemical changes are unable to visualize chemical changes that occur at atomic and molecular level. The purpose of this study is to develop interactive multimedia to enhance of macroscopic and symbolic representation by providing submicroscopic representation of electrolyte and non electrolyte solutions. The media was developed by using Adobe Flash and validated by experts and used for trial in small and large groups of students before the final product was being used in a real classroom teaching based on Computer Model approach. Providing submicroscopic representation attracts student?s attentions and retention in studying the teaching materials and potentially improves student?s understanding and achievement.

Abstract

TPACK based learning devices development research on the colligative properties is intended to develop Lesson Plan (RPP) and student?s activity sheets (LKS) in the form of a flip page ebook, apply the RPP and LKS and analyze the relationship among components of TPACK compiler. This research done by applying 4D Thiagarajan, Semmel and Semmel  Model, that has been modified. The results indicated on learning activities at the meeting I 92%, meeting II dan III 93,4%, meeting IV dan V 86,7%, meeting VI 86,1%, meeting VII 91,4%, all of them belong to the category of ?highly optimized?. Students gave positive responses to the learning and products developed. The average percentage of student?s critical thinking skills as a whole is 66.3% which includes the category of ?good?.

Abstract

The problems encountered in learning biology in SMAN 13 Tebo is the low result in learning biology, and the class average (57 and 58) of minimal completeness (KKM). The causes include the lesson still done traditionally, the class still focus on the teacher as main source of knowledge. Objective of this study to determine the influence of the biology of learning outcomes: the student taught by using media (powerpoint) contextual and those taught by using traditional approach, student of high scientific attitude and low scientific attitude, and presence or absence of interactions between media (powerpoint) contextual approach and scientific attitude toward the biology learning result. This research is an experiment research with factorial design 2x2. Methods research design used in this study is a quasi experimental pratest and postest. The data are analyzed using two way ANOVA. Results of this research indicate that there is a influence in learning result between student taught by using media (powerpoint) contextual and those taught by using traditional approach, there is no influence in learning result between student of high scientific attitude and low scientific attitude, and there is no interaction between media (powerpoint) contextual approach and scientific attitude toward the biology learning result.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan sintesis senyawa bis (trimetil timah) krokonat, [(CH3)3Sn]2C5O5 2H2O. Senyawa ini disintesis dari trimetil timah klorida, (CH3)3SnCl, dan natrium krokonat, Na2C5O5, dengan pelarut air (H2O). Senyawa ini mengkristal dengan struktur kristal  ortorombik dan termasuk kelompok ruang Fddd. Data kristal memperlihatkan bahwa : nilai a = 10,6209(10) Å, b = 24,2110(15) Å dan c = 28,109(2) Å; sudut a = b=g = 90,00°; volume sel = 7228,0(10) Å3. Kata kunci: Krokonat, trimetil timah

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the effect of group investigation learning  model and motivation on the students' learning result. The research employed a quasi experimental research with nonrandomized control group pretest-posttest design. The research used factorial design of 2x2. The population of this research was the first semester of seventh grade students. The sample used VII A and VII B class, samples were taken by using purposive sampling. The learning result data measured using of the tests and motivation data using of questionnaires. The data are analyzed using two-way(s) ANOVA. Test analysis showed that difference between post-test score of experiment class were higher than the control class. Based on the result, it can be concluded that: 1) the implementation of the group learning model investigation affect the students? learning result, 2) motivation also influences the student learning result. 3) There is no interaction between the group investigation learning  model and motivation on the students' learning achievement.   Keywords: Group Investigation, Motivation and Learning Result.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to develop a class xi chemistry instructional medium the topic of acid-base titration with the orientation of improving the students skill of scientific process in the laboratory. The research is a developmental research and the model used is ADDIE, which stand for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Having been validated by some assessors and teachers, the medium developed proves adequate and can be implemented among class xi high school students. The result of the reaserch show that the student respon well to the implementation of the medium. The medium can be  used by student with various capabilities : however, among weak students  teacher?s guidance is needed.
