Abstract

This paper presents Multi-Objective Integer Non-Linear Programming (MOINLP) involving Negative Total Float (NTF) for improving the basic model of Multi-Objective Programming (MOP) in case the optimization of the additional cost for Project Scheduling Compression (PSC). Using the basic MOP to solve the more complex problems is a challenging task. We suspect that Negative Total Float (NTF) having an indication to make the basic MOP to solve the more general case, both simple and complex of PSC. The purpose of this research is identifying the conflicting objectives in PSC problem using NTF and improving MOINLP by involving the NTF parameter to solve the PSC problem. The Solver Application, which is an add-in of MS Excel, is used to perform optimization process to the model developed. The results show that NTF has an important role to identify the conflicting objectives in PSC. We define NTF is an automatic maximum value of the activity duration reduction to achieve due date of PSC. Furthermore, the use of NTF as a constraint in MOINLP can solve the more general case for both simple and complex PSC problem. Base on the condition, we state that the basic MOP is still significant to solve the PSC complex problems using MOINLP as a sophisticated MOP technique.

Abstract

Dokumen Jawi kuno merupakan warisan budaya yang berisi informasi penting tentang peradaban masa lalu yang dapat dijadikan pedoman untuk masa sekarang ini. Dokumen Jawi kuno telah mengalami penurunan kualitas yang disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor seperti kualitas kertas atau karena proses penyimpanan. Penurunan kualitas ini menyebabkan informasi yang terdapat pada dokumen tersebut menghilang dan sulit untuk diakses. Artikel ini mengusulkan metode binerisasi untuk membangkitkan kembali informasi yang terdapat pada dokumen Jawi kuno. Metode usulan merupakan kombinasi antara metode binerisasi berbasis nilai ambang lokal dan global. Metode usulan diuji terhadap dokumen Jawi kuno dan dokumen uji standar yang dikenal dengan nama Handwritten Document Image Binarization Contest (HDIBCO) 2016. Citra hasil binerisasi dievaluasi menggunakan metode: F-measure, pseudo F-measure, peak signal-to-noise ratio, distance reciprocal distortion, dan misclasification penalty metric. Secara rata-rata, nilai evaluasi F-measure dari metode usulan mencapai 88,18 dan 89,04 masing-masing untuk dataset Jawi dan HDIBCO-2016. Hasil ini lebih baik dari metode pembanding yang menunjukkan bahwa metode usulan berhasil meningkatkan kinerja metode binerisasi untuk dataset Jawi dan HDIBCO-2016. AbstractAncient Jawi document is a cultural heritage, which contains knowledge of past civilization for developing a better future. Ancient Jawi document suffers from severe degradation due to some factors such as paper quality or poor retention process. The degradation reduces information on the document and thus the information is difficult to access. This paper proposed a binarization method for restoring the information from degraded ancient Jawi document. The proposed method combined a local and global thresholding method for extracting the text from the background. The experiment was conducted on ancient Jawi document and Handwritten Document Image Binarization Contest (HDIBCO) 2016 datasets. The result was evaluated using F-measure, pseudo F-measure, peak signal-to-noise ratio, distance reciprocal distortion, dan misclassification penalty metric. The average result showed that the proposed method achieved 88.18 and 89.04 of F-measure, for Jawi and HDIBCO-2016, respectively. The proposed method resulted in better performance compared with several benchmarking methods. It can be concluded that the proposed method succeeded to enhance binarization performance.

Abstract

Abstract: The study aims to determine the effect of employee’s commitment, integrity and competency on the organizational performance of Election Independent Commission (KIP) Aceh mediated by employee’s performance. The study conducted of 244 civil servant of Election Independent Commission (KIP) for province and district in Aceh. Data collected by questionnaire, and then the data is analyzed by using means of statistics structural equation model (SEM). The study found that employee’s commitment, integrity and competency have a positive effect on employee’s performance and the organizational performance of Election Independent Commission (KIP) Aceh. Employee’s performance mediates the effect of employee’s commitment, integrity and competency on the organizational performance of the institution.Keywords : Organizational Performance, Employee Performance, Commitment, Integrity and Competency.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komitmen, integritas dan kompetensi terhadap kinerja Komisi Independen Pemilihan (KIP) Aceh dengan kinerja pegawai sebagai variabel intervening. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 244 orang pegawai KIP Provinsi dan kabupaten kota di Aceh. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan selanjutnya data dianalisis dengan menggunakan peralatan statistik structural equation model (SEM). Penelitian menemukan bahwa komitmen, integritas dan kompetensi berpengaruh positif kinerja pegawai dan kinerja KIP Aceh. Kinerja pegawai dapat memediasi pengaruh komitmen, integritas dan kompetensi pegawai terhadap kinerja instansi tersebut.Kata kunci : Kinerja Organisasi, Kinerja Pegawai, Komitmen, Kompetensi dan Integritas

Abstract

The research discusses about the energy saving techniques in the design of data logger devices based on AVR microcontroller for monitoring parameters of the air temperature and sunlight intensity in the visible light spectrum. These energy reduction techniques include hardware aspects such as the use of the minimum system, peripherals power supply control and software such as sleep-mode. When the intensity of sun light increases, the interrupt pin will activate the system, otherwise the system is in a state of sleep-mode. The electrical energy consumption of the data logger is continuously observed and recorded on an external memory (SD card) in real-time as so the 24 hours energy consumption can be known and the long-term-used energy can be predicted. Based on the results of measurements and calculations it is known that it takes energy of 8.23 Wh to turn the data logger for 24hours. With this reduction technique, the data logger energy consumption can be reduced by 68.5%.Keywords: data logger, energy saving, sun, sleep mode, interrupt

Abstract

The two-axis Sun tracker with the tetrahedron geometry that has been developed has an error percentage of 31.26% and a speed of 0.063 m/s. The value of the accuracy and speed is still considered low for tracking sunlight in open space conditions. The research aims to improve the accuracy and speed of the tetrahedron tracker sun. The method used to obtain tracking accuracy is to implement a control system that forms a tracking system using the proportional integral derivative (PID) control and modifies the sun's light by adding a sun tracker and laser to the top of the tetrahedron structure. In addition, the motor used to measure the state of the horizontal and vertical axes is the DC Stepper type. The results obtained indicate the level of accuracy of the modified sun tracker system is 0.650 on the X-axis and 0.540 on the Y-axis with a speed of 0.091 m / s. From these results, it can be concluded that the sun tracker modification is able to track sunlight properly with an average tracking error rate of 0.78% on the X-axis and 4.67% on the Y axis.

Abstract

For a long time, random numbers have been used in many fields of application. Much work has been conducted to generate truly random numbers and is still in progress. A popular method for generating random numbers is a linear-feedback shift register (LFSR). Even though a lot of work has been done using this method to search for truly random numbers, it is an area that continues to attract interest. Therefore, this paper proposes a circuit for generating random numbers. The proposed circuit is designed to produce different sequences of numbers. Two segments of Fibonacci LFSR are used to form a generator that can produce more varied random numbers. The proposed design consists of blocks: segment 1, segment 2, and a clock controller. The system produces random numbers based on an external clock. The clock signal for the first segment is that of the external clock, whereas that for the second segment is modified by the clock controller. The second stage (segment 2) is executed only after every 2n1−1 clock cycles. The proposed design can generate different sequences of random numbers compare to those of the conventional methods. The period of the proposed system is less than that of the original Fibonacci LFSR. However, the period is almost equal to the original one when the system is realized in 32-bit or 64-bit form. Finally, the proposed design is implemented on a field-programmable gate array (FPGA). It occupies more area and runs at a lower frequency compared with the original Fibonacci LFSR. However, the proposed design is more efficient than the segmented leap-ahead method concerning space occupancy.

Abstract

Multi criteria, which are generally used for decision analysis, have certain characteristics that relate to the purpose of the decision. Multi criteria have complex structures and have different weights depending upon the consideration of assessors and the purpose of the decision also. Expert’s judgment will be used to detect the criteria weights that applied by assessors. The aim of this study is a model to detect the criteria weights and biases on the subcontractor selection and detecting the significant weights, as decisive criteria. A method, which is used to modeling the weights detection, is the Solver Application. Data, totaling 40 sets, has been collected that consist of the assessor’s assessment and the expert’s judgment. The result is a pattern of weights and biases detection. The proposed model have been able to detect of 20 criteria weights and biases, that consist of 4 criteria in  the total weights of 60% (as decisive criteria) and 16 criteria in the total weights of 40%. A model has been built by training process performed by the Solver, which the result for MSE training is 9.73711e-08 and for MSE validation is 0.00900528. Novelty in the study is a model to detect pattern of weights criteria and biases on subcontractor selection by transferring the expert's judgment using Solver Application.

Abstract

Untuk menampilkan kurva karakteristik I-V diperlukan sebuah peralatan dalam menelusuri keluaran sebuah modul surya yang disebut IV Tracer. IV Tracer bekerja berdasarkan nilai tegangan kerja yang divariasikan terhadap sebuah modul surya mulai dari titik nol sampai nilai tegangan rangkaian terbuka (open circuit). Berdasarkan hasil percobaan menggunakan rangkaian snubber dengan nilai kapasitor 47 uF, tahanan 5 Ω dan dioda FR207 memperlihatkan bentuk kurva arus dan tegangan yang sesuai datasheet dengan selisih rata-rata sebesar 8,89 % berdasarkan parameter nilai modul surya yang diuji. Data yang diperoleh merupakan nilai variasi tegangan saat switching MOSFET IRF540 selama 1600 milisekon dengan mengumpulkan sebanyak 52 titik pengujian. IV tracer yang dirancang memiliki batasan sebesar 200 mA - 8V berdasarkan pengaturan yang dilakukan pada layar TFT 1,8”. Kata kunci:

Abstract

Problems for both delayed and accelerated activities in scheduling are common in most projects. This problem can implicate on the additional construction cost with different trends as a specific model. A model can provide valuable information to project acceleration judgement. This research aims to develop the TCTO sub-activity model of formwork, rebar work, and concrete work of the building structural beam on the projects in the North Aceh region. We have collected 33 data sourced from the project cost plan report and respondents judgment in the reviewed area. Descriptive statistics and the regression analysis are used to generate the TCTO model. The results show that the activity duration of the structural beam as broken down into sub-activities of formwork, rebar work and concrete work can be compressed until reaching 40%, 50%, and 40% of its normal duration, respectively. The additional cost of the compressed duration for each sub-activity shows the direct incremental cost per days of 3.67%, 3.63%, and 4.27% of its normal cost. Meanwhile, the possible crash cost of each the sub-activities are 122%, 118.15%, 125.61%, respectively. The models practically represent a linear model in the same daily pattern acceleration.

Abstract

Abstrak? Pendataan dengan MDCS (Mobile Database Collection System) adalah cara yang efektif dalam mendata dewasa ini, salah satu adalah ODK (Open Data Kit) berupa tools bantu untuk melakukan pendataan dengan perangkat smartphone. MDCS cocok diterapkan dalam Penataan dan Pemerataan Guru (PPG). Sebelumnya PPG memerlukan tenaga operator untuk mendata dengan membagikan kuisioner, menyebabkan timbulnya kekeliruan dalam pengentrian data oleh operator dan memerlukan waktu yang relatif panjang. Penelitian ini bertujuan terciptanya prototipe aplikasi PPG berbasiskan ODK dengan mengurangi kekeliruan dalam pengentrian data, sebab dientri langsung oleh user. Pengujian dilakukan dengan cara meng-capture pengiriman data atau file dari smartphone dan data atau file diterima pada server.  Hasil dari 30 kali percobaan pada form individu guru dan form sekolah menunjukkan bahwa waktu yang dibutuhkan rerata 10 detik baik untuk uplink dan untuk downlink.  pada saat tertentu dapat mencapai hingga 50 detik yaitu pada saat koneksi tidak stabil pada jam sibuk. Namun pada umumnya proses uplink maupun downlink membutuhkan waktu di bawah 1 menit yang menunjukkan waktu lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan cara yang konvensional dengan cara membagikan kuisioner berupa kertas untuk dientri kembali oleh operator dengan waktu yang lebih lama dibandingkan menggunakan PPG berbasis ODK. Kata Kunci? aplikasi, bergerak, pengumpuanl, smartphone, ODK
