Abstract

Kuantan Singingi regency is an area rich in culture and tradition one of which is the pathway. Inter-regional tourism competition is increasingly competitive in recent years, to be able to compete required an effective strategy to develop the potential and uniqueness of the region in order to compete with other regions. For that need to strengthen the identity of a destination or better known as the destination brand. Brand destination is considered to be the right strategy to be run by the Culture and Tourism Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency to develop existing tourism and attract the attention of local tourists and foreign tourists to come to Kuantan Singingi Regency. This study aims to determine the communication strategy of Culture and Tourism Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency in establishing the brand destination of pacu jalur. The research method used in this research is qualitative research method. This qualitative research aims to explain the deep phenomenon through interview data collection techniques, observation and documentation. Using purposive techniques by interviewing 5 informants and using accidental techniques to interview the community. The results of this study is to determine the audience in advance of the identification of local tourists and foreign tourists. The communicator of this destination brand is the Culture and Tourism Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency for communicators in Jakarta as a form of launching effort conducted by the Head of Culture and Tourism Office of Kuantan Singingi Regency. The message strategy used is persuasive and informative which is packed very interesting and includes logo along with tagline. The use of media used by the Office of Culture and Tourism Kuantan Singingi Regency in developing brand destination Pacu Jalur through electronic media, print media, online media and print media campaigns such as banners and billboards. The effect of this brand destination can make people and tourists visit pacu jalur so it can help raise PAD..

Abstract

Elephant Flying Squad is a conflict mitigation team consisting of four elephants, two males, two females and 8 mahouts . This team has been operated since 26 April 2004 and placed in Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village, Ukui District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. In carrying out its duties and functions, the team uses persuasive communication to the public by providing information, socialization, and giving examples to minimize conflict with elephants. This research goal is knowing the credibility of persuader, persuasive messages, communication channels, and effects of persuasive communication which done by the Elephant Flying Squad to minimizing conflict between human and Sumatran elephants in Tesso Nilo National Park.This research uses descriptive qualitative research method. The subjects involved in this research are chosen based on purposive sampling technique consist of Communication Module Leader of WWF Indonesia Central Sumatra, Elephant Flying Squad Mahout, and people of Lubuk Kembang Bunga Village. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. Data analysis techniques using interactive data Miles model and Huberman with the validity checking of the data is done by using extension participation techniques and triangulation.The results shows that Elephant Flying Squad has credibility as a persuader which is expertness with 6 months training, experience discussion about conflict mitigation, being responsible and dedicating to work and care with elephant existence. Second, it is trust worthiness, the team always do routine patrols for conflict mitigation and drive away the wild elephants and also have quick response if there is report from people. Persuasive messages that used is verbal messages including clarity, assignment and accuracy. While the nonverbal messages by giving some lessons of conflict mitigation, expulsion and practice the way of making a mitigation tool. Communication channels used is personal channels (direct communication) and non personal (mass media). Abstract

Kampung KB is a unit of area equivalent to Rukun Warga, hamlet or equivalent, which has certain criteria, where there is integration of population program, family planning, family development and related sector development systemically and systematically implemented. One of the cities appointed for the development of Kampung KB program in Riau is Dumai City. Government of Dumai City is committed to improve the health and social welfare of the community in realizing quality families, one of the efforts is made by promoting Kampung KB in a number of villages and sub-districts. The purpose of this research is to know the process of disseminating information of reproduction function, what method used in counseling, and what obstacle are felt.This research used qualitative research method. the subjects of the study consisted of 9 persons selected by using purposive techniques which is determined based on criteria of informan. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. To achieve the validity of data in this study the authors use the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the process of disseminating information is by implementing counseling.First, before conducting counseling, communicators are selected by decree. The extension messages are informative and persuasive in accordance with the terms and guidelines. Media and communicant has been determined and determined by BKKBN. Second, the method used is individual approach and group approach.Third, while the obstacles that are felt during the counseling process include time constraints, the belief that many children a lot of sustenance, and low educational backgrounds inhibit the understanding of society.Keyword : Counseling, Kampung KB, disseminating information

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR is about commitment, contribution and awareness to public company. As one of strategy to increase corporate image is to set up and carry out CSR activities are on target. PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru as one of the companies active in the field of oil and gas in the city of Pekanbaru, trying to realize it with focus to carry out CSR activities in several operational areas. This research aims to find out how CSR activities in the run PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru, and knowing the constraints of PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru in carrying that CSR activities. This research used qualitative methods with a descriptive approach. The research was conducted at PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru, Jl. Jendral Sudirman No 395, Pekanbaru. With the object of research is the CSR activities of PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru and research subject which all informants that meet the needs of this research, both internally and externally through purposive sampling . Data collection techniques in this research is observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this research are that run the company’s CSR activities in several aspects of life. That is the economic, health, environtment, and infrastructure is related to the role of Public Relations Officer and CSR Officer. CSR activities that run the company are prepared in accordance with need and condition of public (both human resources and resources of the village) and the capability of the company itself. By carryng out CSR activities as an effort to increase corporate image, PT EMP Bentu & Korinci Baru has been able to create good impression on the community and attract public confidence. In carrryng out CSR activities, there are a number of constraints such as, the lack of CSR officer, the limited budget and the lack of independence of the community, so that the CSR activities undertaken have not been up evenly in various aspects.Keyword: Corporate Social Responsibility, Activities, Corporate Image

Abstract

PT. RAPP (PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper) is a company thatmanufactures pulp and have a timber plantations to create a seamless qualitypaper, which has now crossed in the Pulau Padang, district Meranti, subdistrictmerbau. So that has led to conflicts between people and PT RAPP. The conflictbegan from December of 2009 until now there is no way the solution of the localgovernment. People has been assumed that if the ongoing forest cultivation by PT.RAPP in Pulau Padang , will likely hamper the needs of forest products that havebeen used for decades by the people who inhabit the island. This study aims todetermine how the public opinion against the conflict of PT RAPP in PulauPadang, subdistrict merbau district Meranti, as well as the factors that influencethe formation of public opinion against the conflict of PT RAPP in Pulau Padang.This study used qualitative methods of data collection were obtained basedon the fact that occurs through observation and interviews. Informants in thisstudy amounted to 12 people, consisting of (headman, society, chairman of RiauFarmers Union (STR), Public figures and Public Relations of PT RAPP). Dataanalysis techniques used in this research is to use interactive data analysis modelof Hubermen and Miles, using the technique of checking the validity of the data istriangulation techniques and extension participation.From the results of the study showed that public opinion against theconflict of PT RAPP in Pulau Padang subdistricts merbau district meranti is verydetrimental to people in the area. people of Pulau Padang would still reject theentry of PT RAPP (Riau Andalan Puld & Paper) in Pulau Padang, because thecompany is considered to take public land. The program  Fast video television of course there is a process transmission greetings from communicator to audiensnya. Message through the program Fast or television show  its inherent value contained value/, the  values that television station as an effective communicator tried to can convey to audience or komunikannya. Various kinds of program presented by television stations. They compete to present can program  is interesting and liked by many people. One of the mushrooming in Indonesia this program is Fast  -  Lets keep Smile (YKS) in Trans TV.  This research uses qualitative tried to understand and interpret the meaning of an event interaction appearance man in certain situations in the perspectives researchers itself. Technical  data collection  in a way observation, interview and documentation. Data that was recieved by then processed for reduced, served to produce a general conclusions. Informant in this research method  12  person based on  snowbal  sampling. While for the investigation validity  data  therefore use techniques for the extended the inclusion and triangulation.Results of these studies  showing a public perception on the performance Fast YKS in  Trans TV according to informers interesting and different with entertainment events that are on  television stations such as Pesbuker in  ANTV  and Extravaganza in Trans 7, and YKS willing to accept criticism and suggestions from other people to improve the motivating and Fast YKS  since launching until this time less comfort, and the social control in the event this can be seen from the performance of the players who are  less influence over children.Keyword : Persepsi Masyarakat, YKS, Program Televisi

Abstract

The poverty rate is happening at the moment is so great that the population growth rate continues to increase each year while employment is a source of livelihood for communities lacking, so that everywhere the unemployment rate is increasing. As in Kampar regency, poverty dominated communities residing in the surrounding countryside, with a source of livelihood as farmers and fishermen rubber workers. Therefore, Kampar District Government established a program that aims to reduce poverty in a program Kampar District Agricultural Training Centre Rural Organization (P4S) and with this program, people can be more advanced Kampar and increased standard of living and Kampar free from poverty. This study aims to determine how the public opinion and to find out how the process of opinion formation in Rural Farming Training Center program Organization (P4S) Kampar District Government.The experiment was conducted in P4S real work in Kubang Jaya subdistrict Siak Hulu, which lasted for two months were from March to April 2014. Research uses descriptive qualitative method of data collection techniques of observation, interviews (interviews) and documentation. Informants in this study amounted to 17 people that the manager of the Institute P4S 5 Real Work in Kubang Jaya District Siak Hulu, nine participants and alumni speakers. Analysis using the model of Interactive Data Analysis with Miles and Huberman collecting data obtained were then processed to be reduced, so that the resulting presented in general conclusion.The results of this study indicate that the opinion appears in Kampar District Government P4S program there are two opinions, namely positive and negative opinions. Second opinions can be seen how a program runs and bring the support of the community and the program continues to run from beginning to the end. Moreover, in the process of opinion formation in the course of which there are P4S communicators, information programs, media, community leaders, and community information.Key word: Opinion, Society, Program, P4S, Government

Abstract

The communication system of leadership is the issues that occur in The Society’s Empowerment and Governance Countryside Pelalawan District office in order to increasing performance of employees. The purpose of this research is to find out how do the communication system of leadership in increasing performace of employees of the Society’s Empowerment and Governance Countryside Pelalawan District, then to find out media that are used in increasing performance of employees.This research used qualitative descriptive method by using purposive sampling. The informant is selected based on the specific characteristic. The researcher chooses 5 peoples based on their employment status. Collection of the data is done by using observation, interview, and documentation.The result of this research showed that the communication system of leadership in The Society’s Empowerment and Governance Countryside Pelalawan District is very involved in increasing performance of employees of The Society’s Empowerment and Governance Countryside Pelalawan District. The leadership could establish the communication as well fromhead to underling so the instruction of leadership delivered clearly and the employees could responsible toward their job . Abstract

Delivery of Trans Metro Bus route information aims to make people aware and understand the existence of stop and Trans Metro Bus Route, so it can accept the existence of the Mass Public Transport Means and then motivate audiences to want to use the services of Trans Metro bus or switch from the usual use of private vehicles, be using the public transport services of Trans Metro Bus transportation as a means of transportation that can help them day to day activities The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the Department of Transportation Pekanbaru in providing information on Trans Metro Bus Route and the factors that hinder and support the delivery of such information .This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Informants of this study was 4 People Pekanbaru City Department of Transportation employee, 1 stop officer, 4 people who have use the services of Trans Metro bus and 4 people who have never used the services of Trans Metro Bus services are selected using purposive sampling method and Accidental sampling. Types and sources of data consisting of primary data and secondary data. Data was collected by observation, interview and documentation. The technique of data analysis performed using data analysis and model Applebeum Anatol, and engineering data validity checking is done by the extension of participation, triangulation and checking membership.The results of this study indicate that the role performed in delivering Trans Metro Bus route information is in cooperation with the mass media and use interpersonal media, media groups, internet and outdoor media. The role is supporting factors such as the presence of a hot spot networks that facilitate employees in communicating with the public via the Internet. Then the Department of Transportation also has an official car for dissemination of information about Trans Metro Bus and Metro Bus Route Trans. Furthermore, the factors that hinder the role of the Department of Transportation which is the lack of information given by the government budget to support dissemination activities Trans Metro Bus Route. In operation, the amount of Trans Metro bus stop is still minimum, and also the distance between stops is also so far, it makes people become less likely to use the services of Trans Metro Bus.Keyword : Role, Trans metro route, Mass media, Interpersonal media, Media groups, Internet and outdoor media
