Abstract

The purposes of this study are to analyze the business performance and the ability of the tofu industry to become economic base, analyze the factors that affect the performance, and formulate strategies for the development of tofu small scale industry. The data of this study was collected through field survey, in-depth interviews with related experts, questionnaire technique and study documents. The data was analyized using the business feasibility, Hayami added value, regression, LQ, IFE and EFE, and SWOT. The business feasibility analysis of the tofu small scale industry has met all requirements. The production inputs and labour are significantly influence for the performance of tofu small scale industry. The tofu small scale industry becomes an economic base commodity in Adiwerna, Pangkah, and Tarub Subdistricts. Strategies on the development of tofu small scale industry in Tegal District among others are improving: the image of tofu to the higher level of consumer by packaging and brand design, the regional branding, the market penetration of the supply chain and control of soybean prices, and using alternative tofu raw material, optimizing the economic value of waste.Keywords: Development strategy, process food industry, Tegal District, small scale industry ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis kinerja usaha dan kemampuan industri kecil tahu menjadi basis ekonomi, menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan industri kecil tahu. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan melalui survei lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan pakar, kuesioner dan studi dokumen. Teknik pengolahan data menggunakan analisis kelayakan usaha, nilai tambah Hayami, regresi, LQ, IFE dan EFE, dan SWOT. Analisa kelayakan usaha industri kecil tahu telah memenuhi semua persyaratan. Input produksi dan tenaga kerja merupakan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kinerja industri kecil tahu. Industri kecil tahu mampu menjadi komoditas basis ekonomi di Kecamatan Adiwerna, Kecamatan Pangkah dan Kecamatan Tarub. Alternatif strategi pengembangan industri kecil tahu di Kabupaten Tegal antara lain adalah meningkatkan: citra produk guna membidik kelas konsumen yang lebih tinggi melalui desain kemasan dan merek, regional branding, penetrasi terhadap rantai suplai dan pengendalian harga kedelai, dan memanfaatkan bahan baku tahu alternatif, optimalisasi nilai ekonomi limbah industri tahu.Kata kunci : Industri kecil, industri makanan olahan, Kabupaten Tegal, strategi pengembangan

Abstract

Menghadapi era globalisasi berbagai bisnis/profesi masyarakat Indonesia terancam oleh masuknya pendatang luar negeri yang memiliki sumberdaya yang lebih mampu dan professional. Hasil program dalam peningkatan kualitas sumberdaya manusia masih belum optimal tanpa adanya kegiatan sinergi diantara sumberdaya manusia dalam bisnis/profesi tertentu dalam isu-isu yang yang ada di dalamnya, karena isu tersebut tidak hanya rendahnya kinerja yang kompetitif pada sumberdaya internal tetapi juga bagaimana memperkuat posisi tawar, kemudian konsep koperasi antar manusia juga relevan dan bagaimanapun sangat penting untuk diperkenalkan pada masyarakat Indonesia. Koperasi pekerja sudah terkenal dan banyak dikembangkan di negara maju dan beberapa negara berkembang, akan tetapi masih belum diaplikasikan di Indonesia. Koperasi Pekerja masih rancu dengan istilah Koperasi Karyawan yang menyebabkan pentingnya koperasi pekerja dikaji lebih lanjut. Terdapat perbedaan antara kedua koperasi tersebut. Abstract

Good performance results are very valuable promotion for the progress of a private junior high school, either at the provincial or regional level. The implementation of regional autonomy has implications for the implementation of the evaluation process to be more professional, objective, honest and transparent as a series of school supervision and guidance. In order to improve the quality of education, there is a need tochange the supervision system functioning not only as a monitor but also guidance to organize education. Analysis process of all aspects of education should be directed at efforts to ensure the implementation of quality education (Quality Assurance) and empower those evaluated so as to produce graduates in accordance with established standards. Each school performance analyzed is expected to have positive impacts for the community, especially to any parents who want to send their children to junior high school, especially SMPK Satu Bakti Bogor. Although there are a few schools established for quite a long time and there are some newly operating, it is not a guarantee for these private junior high schools to continue to grow. This has encouraged the school component to perform better and have special attractions. Some of the private schools in Bogor city have been experiencing problems similar those in the SMP K Satu Bakti; namely, the difficulty to attract new students to enroll in their school. A better quality of performance, accordingly is required in order to attract more qualified applicants and prospective students in the future which is expected to maintain the sustainability of this junior high school existance. Abstract

Various changes in the strategic environment have forced the public sector to make bureaucratic reform that should have consequences on changing the bureaucratic culture in the public sectorsto be more externally oriented culture. Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) is an internal control government agency that should change the organizational culture. The needsforexternally oriented culture was now even stronger in line with the shift in the role from watchdog to become in-house consultant. Therefore, this study aims to analyze organizational culture changes and identify the factors that cause or inhibit changes. This study used competing values framework, a method that is able to capture the changes of organizational cultures, both large and direction. The research result showed that organizational culture has been transformed from hierarchy culture to market culture. These changes indicatedthe organizational culture has been changed in accordance with the concept of bureaucratic reform. However, the changes in organizational culture were not significant. Employee resistance and the policy of change that is not the same in all aspects of organizational were known as the factors inhibiting organizational culture changes.Key word: bureaucratic reform, competing values framework, organizational change, organizational culture, public sector

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study were 1) identify the risks faced by PT XYZ, 2) measure and map the risk of PT XYZ, 3) formulating an effective risk mitigation strategy for PT XYZ. The method of risk management with enterprise risk management approach (ERM) was applied. Risk management with ERM can help companies better prepared to cope with uncertainty, increase the added value and competitive advantage. ERM approach to risk mapping is done by referring to the eight components of ERM. The first three components, namely internal environment, objective setting, and event identification, were used to observe PT.  XYZ situation and identify the risks that exist. A review of the business processes in PT XYZ shows that there are various strategic, operating, reporting, and compliance risks identified in the stages of the business process. Results showed 1) the risks found in the PT XYZ stages of business process were related to the field of strategic, operating, reporting, and compliance, 2) the amount of risk experienced by PT XYZ were reflected in the risk map formed on the measurement of risk based on probability and impact, 3) strategies need to be developed for effective risk mitigation for PT XYZ were prioritized addressing the highest risk first then to a lower risk.Keywords: ERM, FGD, risk management, upholstery industry, risk mappingABSTRAKTujuan  penelitian  ini  adalah 1) mengidentifikasi risiko yang dihadapi PT XYZ, 2) mengukur dan memetakan risiko PT XYZ, 3) merumuskan strategi mitigasi risiko yang efektif bagi PT XYZ. Metode pengelolaan risiko dengan pendekatan enterprise risk management (ERM). Pengelolaan risiko dengan ERM dapat membantu perusahaan lebih siap dalam  mengatasi ketidakpastian,  meningkatkan nilai tambah, dan keunggulan bersaing. Pemetaan risiko dengan pendekatan ERM dilakukan dengan berpedoman pada delapan komponen ERM. Tiga komponen pertama yaitu internal environment, objective setting, dan event identification dilakukan untuk memotret keadaan di PT XYZ dan mengidentifikasi risiko-risiko yang ada. Hasil kajian mengenai proses bisnis PT XYZ menunjukkan terdapat berbagai risiko strategic, operating, reporting, dan compliance yang teridentifikasi dalam tahap-tahap proses bisnisnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 1) risiko-risiko yang ditemukan dalam tahapan proses bisnis PT XYZ terkait bidang strategic, operating, reporting, dan compliance, 2) besar tingkat risiko yang dialami PT XYZ tercermin pada peta risiko yang terbentuk atas pengukuran risiko berdasarkan probabilitas dan dampaknya, 3) strategi yang perlu dikembangkan untuk mitigasi risiko yang efektif bagi PT XYZ diprioritaskan menangani risiko paling tinggi dulu baru kemudian ke risiko yang lebih rendah.Kata kunci: ERM, FGD, manajemen risiko, industri penyamakan kulit, peta resiko

Abstract

The objective of this study was to design a prototype of a future business model which would be adopted to achieve balance between the aspects of new business opportunities and competitive advantages of CV Suratin Bamboo. The analytical method utilized in the study was the business model canvas approach (BMC) supported by the blue ocean strategy and SWOT.  The results revealed that through this business model development, bamboo workshop is expected to provide information regarding bamboo derived products, raise awareness of preserving the indigenous bamboo culture, increase sense of belonging to domestic products, as well as become the primary support of innovation and ideas in constructing Indonesia as a nation. Meanwhile, for businesses actors, besides increasing revenue, conducting bamboo workshops is expected to increase the company growths for the long term. The opportunity to maneuver in the development of bamboo-based business model demonstrates that bamboo business with high quality products has both tangible and intangible potentials to be developed further.Keywords: bamboo, blue ocean strategy, business model canvas, creative tourism, extracurricularABSTRAKTujuan penelitian ini adalah merancang prototype model bisnis masa depan yang akan digunakan untuk menemukan keseimbangan antara aspek peluang bisnis yang baru dan aspek keuntungan kompetitif CV Suratin Bamboo. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan kanvas model bisnis (BMC) dilengkapi dengan blue ocean strategy serta SWOT. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan melalui pengembangan model bisnis ini, pelatihan bambu diharapkan mampu memberikan informasi tentang produk turunan bambu, meningkatkan kesadaran melestarikan kearifan lokal budaya bambu, meningkatkan rasa cinta produk dalam negeri, serta menjadi pendorong lahirnya inovasi dan gagasan yang membangun bangsa Indonesia. Sementara bagi pelaku usaha, selain peningkatan revenue, pelatihan bambu diharapkan mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan perusahaan untuk jangka panjang. Abstract

Acreage development, production, productivity, and Indonesian cocoa exports cannot be separated from the influence of various cocoa policies applied by the Indonesian government and the international cocoa institution that is ICCO. The objective of this study was to analyze the factors that influence the behavior of the economy, including productivity, demand, export, and cocoa prices, and impact of domestic policy for the behavior of Indonesian cocoa economy. The analysis method used for the economy behavior was the simultaneous equation model with 2SLS approach (Two Stage Least Square). The analysis showed domestic production is influenced by cocoa price, fertilizer price, labor costs, and technology. Cocoa demand is influenced by the amount of domestic prices of processed cocoa. Cocoa exports is affected by the production, world prices, exchange rates, exports of cocoa from the previous year, and domestic demand for cocoa whereas domestic prices are influenced by world prices, domestic supply, and domestic prices of the previous yearKeywords: cocoa, 2SLS, behavior of the economy, demand, exportABSTRAKPerkembangan luas areal, produksi, produktivitas,dan ekspor kakao Indonesia tidak lepas dari pengaruh berbagai kebijakan kakao yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah Indonesia dan lembaga kakao dunia, yaitu ICCO. Abstract

Peningkatan pertumbuhan ekonomi pada tahun 2015-2016 berdampak positif bagi pertumbuhan industri pelayaran di Indonesia. Meski mengalami pertumbuhan, kapasitas pengangkutan angkutan laut perusahaan nasional masih kalah bersaing dengan perusahaan asing.PT Pelayaran Bahtera Adhiguna (BAg) merupakan salah satu anak perusahaan PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) yang bergerak dalam bidang jasa angkutan laut. Program pemerintah pembangkit listrik 35.000 MW memerlukan pemerataan pasokan batubara menjadikan tantangan bagi BAg untuk meningkatkan pendapatan usahanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengidentifikasi kinerja pada fungsi operasional, menganalisis kondisi eksternal dan internal dan merumuskan arsitektur strategik untuk pengembangan bisnis BAg dalam dua tahun mendatang.Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa kinerja perspektif keuangan belum menunjukan kinerja yang baik.Hasil analisis kondisi lingkingan eksternal mengindikasikan bahwa bisnis BAg berada dalam persaingan yang ketat seiring semakin bertambahnya perusahaan pelayaran. Namun perusahaan memiliki kekuatan pada bisnis utama sehingga perusahaan masih memiliki kemampuan untuk bertahan dengan cara memanfaatkan jaminan muatan batubara dari PLN. Kelemahan yang masih dimiliki BAg adalah ketergantungan pada mitra KSO sehingga beban sewa kapal relatif tinggi dibandingkan dengan biaya operasional lainnya.Strategi pengembangan bisnis BAg yang dapat dilakukan bagi perusahaan di masa yang akan datang adalah meningkatkan sinergi bisnis inti antara BAg dengan PLN.Kata kunci: industri pelayaran, pengembangan bisnis, persaingan.

Abstract

PEMP Program in Sub-province South East Moluccas is executed since 2001-2007 expected can give positive result to coastal community and small islands especially to fisherman community. The objective of this research is evaluate the sustainable status of PEMP program and identify the performance elements that have an effect on to PEMP program execution so it can be formulated the policy strategy of marine and fisheries development of Sub-province South East Moluccas. The result of this research indicates that program performance in totally pertained “enough” based on RAPFISH analysis. Based on Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) result there are fourth criterions that must be paid attention that are (1) PEMP program planning base on society aspect, (2) PEMP program socialization aspect, (3) PEMP program companion execution aspect, and (4) PEMP program execution evaluation aspect. From those fourth criterions, there are five alternatives of policy strategies that ought to conducted by local government of Sub-province South East Moluccas in exploiting PEMP program, that are (1) Strategy of institute reinforcement policy PEMP and human resources, (2). Strategy fund sharing policy from Government of Sub-province South East Moluccas, (3). Strategy of community participation quality improvement policy, (4) Strategy of system structuring current fund returns policy, and (5) Strategy of partnership development policy.Keywords: strategy, quality improvement, coastal community economy empowerment program.

Abstract

The purpose of this study are to analyze the performance of Universitas Negeri Gorontalo (UNG) in the financial and academic aspects; to analyze the gaps in financial performance and academic performance; and to know the differences in financial performance and academic performance before and after transformation into a State Universities Public Service Agency (PTN BLU). The analysis method used are descriptive analysis, gap analysis by calculating the average expected service level, and average calculation for perceived service actual performance, and t-test. The result of the research shows that the implementation of governance especially in the case of service is increasing and efficient. Besides that, after the transformation into BLU,UNG shows various progress, especially the improvement of financial performance as measured from income level from Non-Tax Revenue (PNBP), and from Revenue Budget and State Expenditure (APBN), while the academic performance, measured from 12 indicators covering tri darma of higher education, has increased significantly compared to when UNG is still part of the Work Unit (SATKER). While the results of gap analysis show that the academic and financial performance perceived by lecturers and UNG employees is higher than the quality of expectedservice. The financial performance of UNG before and after BLU has significant differences, as well as the academic performance.
