Abstract

Lhe adsorption capacities of activated zeolyle by HCl, HNO j dan H2SO| v'i* )IgO udding were 0.00839%,0.0i01%  dan 0.011% per gram zeoll'te. The activation and lulgO adr)ing increasecl the aclsorption capacitl' oJ' zeolyte to nitrogen contained in httman urine.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of calcination temperature variation from 200°C to 500°C on the Mg/Al hydrotalcite structure. Mg/Al hydrotalcite has been synthesized via a low supersarturated precipitation method with hydrothermal treatment, using Mg(NO3 )2 .6H2 O and Al(NO3 )3 .9H2 O as the raw materials, and base solution of NaOH and Na2 CO3 as the precipitators. Mg/Al hydrotalcite compound synthesized before and after calcination were characterized using fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and X-ray diffractometer (XRD). The results of FTIR and XRD data analysis showed that the calcination of hydrotalcite of Mg/Al at 200o C did not changed the structure of hydrotalcite compounds, calcination at temperatures 300-400o C showed that structure of hydrotalcite compound starts to change form a mixture of magnesium oxide and aluminum, and calcination at 500°C showed that the crystal structure of Mg/Al hydrotalcite has broken to form a mixture of metal oxides, namely MgO (phericlase) with a little mixture of aluminum oxide in the form of ?-Al2O3 and ?-Al2O3.

Abstract

Catalyst are divided into two kinds, homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts. The catalys tthat constantly developed isa heterogeneous catalyst because could  be separated easily and reuseable. The purpose of this research were synthesis and characterization of hydrotalcite Mg/Al as a heterogeneous catalyst which can be use din the aldol condensation reaction. Synthesis hydrotalcite was conducted by hydrothermal coprecipitation method. Synthesis performed with variations mol Mg/Alat a temperature hydrothermal 1000C for 15 hours. Hydrotalcite as a heterogeneouscatalyst preparation was done by calcinationat 4000C. Characterization of synthesized hydrotalcyte was performed by FTIR to identified functional group and XRD analysis to characteriz edits structure. The results showed that the optimum conditions for the synthesized hydrotalcite was obtained atmole ratio Mg/Al3:1.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to obtain a method of color standardization which is a consistent assessment of the color formed by secang natural dye, so it can be used as a reference color of natural dyes of batik.Standardization steps of natural dyes included taxonomic examination, preparation of secang dye by extraction, standardization process by spectroscopic measurement, with ?rapid? dye as standard, application on batik process including batik pattern making and wax application on batik  and batik coloring process with secang dye. Data was analized by absorbance vs wavelength obtained from red color formed by secang dye. The results showed that the maximum absorption wavelength of the standard red color was obtained at 450.20 nm. This value is used as the standard red color measurement

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan teknologi pemanfaatan tanaman obat berbasis kearifan dan sumber daya alam lokal untuk perbaikan tingkat kesehatan masyarakat desa karangsari wedomartani Sleman. Pada akhirnya kegiatan ini akan memberikan wawasan, pengetahuan, kemampuan, dan keterampilan kepada warga terutama para remaja dan  ibu –ibu dalam memanfaatkan bahan alam di lingkungan sekitar sebagai minuman kesehatan. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 7 Agustus 2016 dengan peserta kegiatan adalah remaja dan ibu-ibu PKK desa Wedomartani Sleman. Kegiatan ini diawali dengan analisis permasalahan di lapangan, diikuti oleh persiapan rancangan  pelaksanaan program, pelatihan dan sosialisasi program yang dilengkapi alat dan bahan serta sarana dan prasarana penunjang kegiatan. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan sosialisasi serta pengarahan pembuatan minuman kesehatan berbasis sumber daya alam local.Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa 100% para peserta pelatihan merasakan bahwa kegiatan ini bermanfaat dan memiliki kemauan yang kuat untuk belajar hal baru. Dengan pelatihan yang berkelanjutan,diharapkan peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup bahkan menunjang kebutuhan ekonomi. Kata kunci: Tanaman obat, sumber daya alam local

Abstract

This study aims to design implementation strategies of DCT in the Basic Inorganic Chemistry course, develop an appropriate course to increase students? active participation, and develop an evaluation system capable of providing an integrated assessment (both the learning process and outcomes) in the course. This study was conducted in two cycles for one semester during the academic year of 2008/2009. The implementation applied the principles of classroom action research consisting of four stages, i.e. planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were analyzed by grouping them into categories. The findings were as follows. Qualitatively, the classroom obser­vations showed an increasing active participation of students, both in making the DCT and in conducting discussions in English. Quantitatively, the results of the observations on the learning activities showed an average value of 4 (scale 1-5) for several aspects of DCT.

Abstract

This research aims to synthesize Mg/Al hydrotalcite with mole ratio variations of Mg/Al precursor through low supersaturated precipitation method. Mg/Al hydrotalcite was synthesized with Mg/Al mole ratio variation of 1:1, 2:1, 3:1, and 4:1. Mg/Al hydrotalcite was synthesized using NaOH and Na2CO3 base solutions. The mixture of precursor was stirred for 2 hours then treated by hydrothermal at 100 °C for 4 hours. Results of the synthesis Mg/Al hydrotalcite with mole ratio variations is a white powder. The formation of the structure of Mg/Al hydrotalcite showed by certain peaks in the FTIR spectra and XRD diffractogram.The results of data analysisshowed that variation of mole ratio Mg/Alcauses a shift of peak in the XRD diffractogram shifted towards the left along with a comparative increase in mole ratio Mg/Al, but the main functional groups on the compound Mg/Al hydrotalcite increasingly formed with better.
