Abstract

Rate of mother and child mortality still is high in Indonesia. Some factors including economy condition has impact in the effort of  giving treatment to pregnant mother and child immunize. This study analyse about factors influencing health treatment of health child and mother. It used 3 dependent variables 1) treatment frequency visit of pregnancy to health center 2) usage of ferrum suplemen during pregnancy, and 3). immunizing child. Data which used in this research is data Demography and Health Survey of Indonesia 2002-2003. This study uses probit model. The result is independent variable such as respondent?s characteristic like earnings of household, wife and husband?s education, amount of children, child sequence, urban residence and also demography characteristic have significant effect to all dependent variables. This research have important role in improving health of mother and child which is very required in development of nation at present and future.

Abstract

In order to take advantage of commodity diversification with the local non-wheat flour processing can be used to substitute the manufacture of food products in order to overcome the dependency on flour. One of the local commodity that can be processed into flour is corn. Cornmeal likely replace wheat flour in the manufacture of a wide range of processed products such as bread and biscuits Cockies. The study aims to determine the best methods in the manufacture of corn to produce corn starch with physical and chemical properties either through spontaneous fermentation, using Lactobacillus casei fermentation and using tape yeast. Corn used in this study is the heroine of white maize varieties. Statistical analysis showed that the fermentation process effect on ash content, soluble protein content and total protein content of corn flour produced. For the other variables are not affected by the process of fermentation. Best Samples owned by J2L3 sample with the highest soluble protein content of 2.3%, which is fermented using Lactobacillus casei for 3 days.Keywords: maize, white heroine, fermentation, Lactobacillus casei, yeast tape, soluble protein

Abstract

One characteristic of microgrid is possible to be integrated with the public electricity network (PLN / grid) or work independently of the public network. Additionally on microgrid is also possible to supply excess power to the grid and still be able to supply power to local load even when disconnected from grid. Not all inverter devices can be used on a microgrid, associated with some of the criteria that must be met. How do the characteristics of on-off grid tie inverter (GTI on-off) and how to build microgrid using on-off GTI became topic of this research activity. Based on results of testing, on-off GTI can be used on microgrid, with ability to supply power to network when excess power or supplied from network at the time of power shortage. As well as on-off GTI is able to work independently when there is no power from network.

Abstract

DC boost converter is an essensial equipment in the system of DC microgrid which has a function as step up voltage. In making a boost converter equipment of power generation, it often encounters a problem its own especially in designing of switching transformer, so that it is required a long time and high cost. In order to solve that problem, in this research it has been made a development of inverter as boost converter which has been done by simulation and experiment. The simulation results show that for an input voltage 10-14 Vdc yields voltage 254 Vdc, while by testing for an input voltage 10-14 Vdc yields voltage 253 Vdc. Either simulation or test show that voltage can be applied in the system of dc micro grid for the need of load based switch mode power supplay /SMPS

Abstract

Pemenuhan kebutuhan pangan yang cukup bagi seluruh penduduk merupakan salah satu kewajiban utama bagi suatu Negara. Indonesia, yang sebagian besar penduduknya mengkonsumsi pangan pokok beras maka kebijakan pembangunan pertanian tanaman pangan di Indonesia difokuskan pada satu komoditas pangan, yaitu beras sehingga muncul kebijakan swasembada beras. Namun sejak diimplementasikan-nya kebijakan tersebut, banyak pakar telah mengkritisinya. Makalah ini berupaya untuk menunjukkan besarnya korbanan yang digunakan untuk mendukung kebijakan swasembada beras, dan berupaya untuk memberikan sumbangan pemikiran dalam menuju ketahanan pangan nasional. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi: luas panen tanaman pangan, nilai perdagangan pangan dengan luar negeri, dosis penggunaan pupuk dan nilai subsidi pupuk kimia, serta NTP (Nilai Tukar Petani). Selanjutnya, data dianalisis guna menggambarkan dan mendukung pengambilan kesimpulan. Beberapa hal yang bisa disampaikan dalam kaitannya dengan kebijakan swasembada beras adalah terjadinya pemborosan penggunaan sumberdaya, neraca perdagangan produk tanaman pangan Indonesia yang defisit, dan pencemaran lingkungan, serta kesejahteraan petani tidak meningkat secara signifikan.

Abstract

Store image is the combination of all customers’ attitude about a store or a company which is connected to the customers’ expectation when they choose where to shop. By designing a place to be attractive and by focusing to fulfill customers’ needs and satisfaction to shop, so that it will create a good image in the customers’ mind which is one of the elements of the store image and it will make customers’ love to shop at the first sight, therefore, a good image will be in the customers’ mind and later will create a satisfaction to that particular store. The populations in this research are customers at Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya with the minimum of 2 times to shop in the last 3 month (July, August and September 2010). Sample technique is non random sampling by using Purposive Sampling that is the sample member is determined by certain characters based on the relationship that has connected with the population characteristics. Data analyzes in this research is using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Based on the research, it is said that store image is influencing to the customers’ satisfaction to the customers at Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya. Customers’ expectation is influencing customers’ satisfaction at Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya. Store image doesn’t influence customers’ loyalty at Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya. Customers’ expectation is influencing customers’ loyalty at Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya. Customers’ satisfaction is influencing customers’ loyalty at Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya. Store image and customers’ expectation are significantly influence the customers’ loyalty with the customers’ satisfaction as mediation variable at Hypermart Carrefour Ngagel Surabaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to fabricate a humidity sensor from organic semiconductor and to understand the effect of the transistor`s structure on the sensitivity of humidity sensor. Organic MOSFETs were fabricated using organic semiconductor called pentacene. The structures were bottom-contact and top-contact. The bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET was more sensitive to humidity than the top-contact pentacene MOSFET was. When the relative humidity increased from 20 % to 70 %, for VGS = VDS = -5 V, the magnitude of drain source current of the MOSFET decreased from 0.45 µA to 0.1 µA for bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET and from 3.6 µA to 3 µA for top-contact pentacene MOSFET. As the relative humidity increased from 20 % to 70 %, for VGS = 2 V and VDS = -5 V, the magnitude of drain source current of the MOSFET increased from 0.77 nA to 3 nA for bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET and from 0.6 nA to 1.4 nA for top-contact pentacene MOSFET. As the relative humidity increased from 20 % to 70 %, the threshold voltage shifted toward positive direction, from 0.5 V to 2 V for bottom-contact pentacene MOSFET and from 1 V to 2 V for top-contact pentacene MOSFET. The result showed that the pentacene MOSFET with bottom-contact structure was more suitable for humidity sensor than that with top-contact structure.

Abstract

The objectives of the study were to evaluate decreasing pattern of ß-carotene, determine the changes of free fatty acid content and to determine peroxide value of red plam olein oil during heating. Red palm olein oil samples were heated at four different temperatures (150°C, 160°C, 170°C, and 180°C) for ten hours. Heated samples were taken every 30 minutes for each heating treatment. The ß-carotene, FFA, and peroxide value in each sample were evaluated. The data were plotted into its curve for further evaluation. The finding indicated that ß-carotene content in red palm olein oil decreased sharply in the first three hours of heating, especially for the oil heated at 180°C.  In adition, heating for 10 hours resulted in decreasing of FFA and peroxide values, especially for red palm oil samples heated above 150°C.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pola penurunan kandungan ß-karoten, menentukan pola perubahan kandun- gan asam lemak bebas (FFA), dan menentukan pola perubahan bilangan peroksida minyak sawit merah selama pe- manasan. Minyak sawit merah dipanaskan pada empat suhu pemanasan yang berbeda  (150°C, 160°C, 170°C, dan180°C) selama 10 jam. Sampel minyak diambil setiap 30 menit dari setiap  minyak yang dipanaskan. Kandungan ß-karoten, FFA, dan bilangan peroksida pada setiap sampel dievaluasi. Data yang diperoleh dituangkan secara gra- fis untuk analisa lebih lanjut. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan kandungan ß-karoten minyak sawit merah mengalami penurunan tajam selama tiga jam pertama pemanasan, khususnya pada minyak yang dipanaskan pada suhu 180°C. Selain itu, lama pemanasan selama 10 jam mengakibatkan terhadap turunnya kadar FFA serta penurunan bilangan peroksida,  khususnya pada minyak yang mengalami pemanasan lebih dari 150°C.

Abstract

Penggunaan       sel  surya   sebagai   pembangkit     listrik,  saat  sekarang   sedang   dikembangkan       untuk menunjang       program     penggunaan     energi   terbarukan    secara   luas.  Hal   ini  bertujuan    untuk   menekan penggunaan   energi   fosil   dan   keselamatan   lingkungan   terhadap   dampak        polusi   CO2.  Untuk   mengatasi persoalan tersebut maka dalam penelitian ini dirancang suatu pengembangkan energi terbarukan dengan melakukan Simulasi Kinerja Sel Surya 10 Wp dengan Sumber Energi Cahaya Buatan sebagai pengganti  Sinar   Matahari.   Dalam   sistem   ini   dikembangkan   dua   model,   keluaran   tegangan   arus   serah   (DC)   dan tegangan  arus  bolak –  balik   (AC).   Sel   Surya  10   Wp   ini   kinerjanya  mampu  menangkap   sumber   energi  cahaya buatan dari sebuah Lampu Bohlam 100 Watt, maka diperoleh keluaran cahaya buatan yang sesuai  dengan   yang  diinginkan,   mengikuti   karakteristik   sinar   matahari.   Pada   Sel   Surya   10   WP   yang   disinari  dengan cahaya buatan ini, maka diperoleh tegangan maksimum 18 Volt DC dan tegangan maksimum 220 Volt AC. Hasil keluaran beban DC tersebut dihasilkan dari aliran batere  12 V yang telah terisi  1,25 A, maka mampu menghidupkan lampu DC 12V &  15W. Dan hasil keluaran beban AC tersebut dihasilkan  dari   aliran   batere   12   V   yang   telah   terisi  2A,  maka   mampu   menghidupkan   lampu   bohlam   AC   100W, keluaran beban AC tersebut bisa mencapai nilai maksimum hingga 500 Watt.  Kata kunci: Sel surya, Energi terbarukan, Cahaya buatan, Arus searah, Arus bolak-balik

Abstract

Sumber energi terbarukan sangat diperlukan saat ini karena energi fosil suatu saat akan habis. Sumber energi terbarukan bisa merupakan energi angin, energi air, energi panas bumi atau energi surya. Energi surya memiliki banyak keuntungan dibandingkan energi terbarukan lainnya seperti keberlimpahannya dan kebersihannya. Sel surya adalah divais elektronik yang mengubah energi surya menjadi energi listrik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mensimulasikan karakteristik listrik sel surya yang terhubung parallel dan mengujinya secara eksperimen. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebuah sel surya tunggal bisa menghasilkan tegangan sirkuit terbuka sebesar 0,45 volt dan arus sirkuit tertutup sebesar 0,35 ampere. Ketika 4 buah sel surya tunggal dihubungkan secara parallel, tegangan sirkuit terbukanya tidak mengalami perubahan dan arus sirkuit tertutupnya meningkat menjadi sekitar 1,4 ampere.
