Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah hubungan yang positif dan sig­nifikan antara(1)kecerdasan linguistik verbal terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal ce­rita mate­ma­­tika;(2)interaksi edukatif ter­hadap ke­mam­puan menyelesaikan soal cerita matema­ti­ka; (3) kecerdasan linguistik verbal dan interaksi edukatif terhadap ke­mam­puan me­nyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuan­titatif bersifat assosiatif. Populasi sebanyak 415 siswa, kemuadian dari 415 populasi diambil sam­­pel sebanyak 83 siswa dengan teknik propotionated random sampling. Metode pengum­pulan data di­lakukan dengan menggunakan metode observasi, angket, dan tes.Instrumen dalam pe­ne­li­tian ini ada tiga yaitu instrumen tes untuk variabel kecerdasan linguistik verbal dan va­ri­a­bel ke­mam­puan menyele­sai­­kan soal cerita matematika, instrumen angket untuk variabel inter­­ak­si edukatif.Teknik pe­ng­o­lahan data menggunakan pengujian uji prasyarat dan uji hipo­tesis.Peng­ujian prasyarat beru­pa pengujian normalitas dan homogenitas, sedangkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan korelasi product moment.Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji prasya­rat dan uji hipotesis. Hasil anali­sis ko­re­lasi product moment menunjukkan ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kecer­dasan linguistik verbal deng­an kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita ma­te­matika sebesar 0,142%, ada hubu­ng­­­­an yang positif dan sig­nifikan antara in­ter­­ak­si edukatif dengan ke­mam­puan menyelesai­kan soal cerita matematika sebesar 0,080% . Ha­sil analisis korelasi ganda menunjuk­kan ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara kecerda­san linguistik verbal dan interaksi edu­katif terhadap kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita mate­matika siswa sebesar 0,051% (. Dengan de­mi­­ki­an dapat disimpul­kan bah­wa tingkat hubungan antar va­ri­a­bel bebas dan terikat menunjukkan kategori sangat ren­dah.   Kata kunci: kecerdasan linguitik verbal, interaksi edukatif, dan kemampuan menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika

Abstract

Membrane technology has led to a new focus on water and wastewater treatment. This is due to severaldrawback of the conventional water treatment i.e release the toxic and carcinogenic materials. In thisresearch, the use Reverse Osmosis (RO) membrane for treating river and well water to obtain clean anddrinking water was studied. The variables studied were effect of pressure and operation time to themembrane flux. The pressure was varied from 1 to 7 bar and the operation time was varied from 15 to 60minutes. The content of Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) in the permeate product was analyzed. The resultsshown that the increase of pressure would increase the membrane flux and decrease TDS. The increaseof the operation time would decrease membrane flux and TDS. The reverse osmosis membrane wassuccessfully applied to treat the river and well water. The product fulfill national standard quality ofdrinking water by viewpoint of the TDS content

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine: (1) which has better learning achievement in mathematics, the application of TGT type cooperative learning,NHT type cooperative learning, or direct learning, (2) which has better learningachievement, the students with high emotional intelligence, medium, or low,(3) which has better learning achievement at each level of high, medium, andlow emotional intelligence on cooperative learning model TGT, NHT, or directlearning, (4) which hasbetter learning achievement on students with high, mediumor low intelligence emotional at each learning of TGT, NHT, and direct learning.This research was a quasi experimental with 3 × 3 factorial design. The studypopulation were seventh grade student of Junior High School State of Yogyakarta. Sampling was done by stratified cluster random sampling with sample of the study were the students of SMPN 1, SMPN 12, and SMPN 14. Each of samples consists of three classes as TGT models class, NHT models class, and control class. The number of total members sample were 303 students. The instrument used to collect the data was mathematics achievement test instruments and students emotional intelligence questionnaire instrument. From the analysis it was concluded that: (1) TGT learning model has better achievement than NHT model and direct learning, NHT learning model has better achievement than direct learning, (2) the students with high emotional intelligence has better achievement than the students with medium and low emotional intelligence, while the students with medium emotional intelligence has better achievement than the students with low emotional intelligence, (3) the students with high emotional intelligence hasthe same achievement on TGT, NHT, or Direct Learning model; the students with medium intelligence, TGT model has better performance than NHT model, NHT model has the same achievement as direct learning model, TGT model has the same achievement as direct learning model; the students with low emotional intelligence hasthe same achievement on learning TGT model, NHT model, and direct learning, (4) the students with high, medium and low emotional intelligence has the same performance on TGT and NHT learning; on Direct Learning, the students with high emotional intelligence has better achievement than students with low emotional intelligence, the students with high emotional intelligence has the same achievement as medium emotional intelligence, the students with medium emotional intelligence has the same achievement as low emotional intelligence

Abstract

Latar belakang: Rumah sehat menjadi salah satu target di dalam SDGs. Rumah sehat menjadi salah satu target di dalam SDGs karena rumah merupakan determinan kesehatan. Cakupan rumah sehat di Kelurahan Rowosari sebesar 79,02%, sedangkan target SDGs adalah 100%. Pemahaman merupakan tingkatan dari pengetahuan yang bersifat aktif dalam mempengaruhi seseorang memiliki persepsi dan berperilaku untuk mengupayakan rumah sehat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan tingkat pemahaman rumah sehat dengan kondisi rumah di Kelurahan Rowosari.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Sampel berjumlah 92 responden yang diambil secara acak dengan memperhatikan proporsi. Pengukuran pemahaman mengenai rumah sehat menggunakan kuesioner dan pengukuran kondisi rumah melalui lembar observasi. Analisis data menggunakan uji Chi-Square dengan alfa 5%.Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 51,5% responden memiliki pemahaman yang tinggi mengenai rumah sehat. Ada hubungan antara tingkat pemahaman mengenai PHBS dalam rumah sehat dengan kondisi rumah di Kelurahan Rowosari (p-value = 0,003; 95% CI = 1,071 ? 1,389). Variabel yang tidak berhubungan dengan kondisi rumah di Kelurahan Rowosari adalah tingkat pemahaman mengenai fisik rumah (p-value 0,729; 95% CI = 0,906 ? 1,192), tingkat pemahaman mengenai sarana sanitasi (p-value = 0,485; 95% CI = 0,939 ? 1,231) dan tingkat pemahaman rumah sehat (p-value = 0,486; 95% CI = 0,935 ? 1,224).Simpulan: Adanya hubungan tingkat pemahaman mengenai PHBS dalam rumah sehat dengan kondisi rumah di Kelurahan Rowosari.

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Di Indonesia, prevalensi pneumonia pada bayi hampir 2 kali lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan pneumonia dengan balita. Kematian bayi yang disebabkan oleh pneumonia di Puskesmas Bandarharjo adalah 2 diantara 11 kematian bayi di Kota Semarang.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara kualitas fisik udara dalam ruang dengan kejadian pneumonia pada bayi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bandarharjo Semarang.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan studi observasional analitik dengan desain cross-sectional.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah bayi yang tinggal di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bandarharjo. Sampel dalam penelitian sebanyak 61 bayi. Sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik proportionate stratified random sampling. Data berasal dari hasil  wawancara terkait karakteristik bayi dan orang tua, status merokok anggota keluarga serta penggunaan anti nyamuk bakar. Data PM10, suhu, kelembaban dan intensitas cahaya diukur dengan menggunakan Personal Dust Sampler, thermo-hygrometer dan lux meter. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis univariat dan bivariat chi-square.Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kadar debu terhirup sebesar 165?g/m3, suhu udara 30,3°C, kelembaban udara 69,3% dan intensitas cahaya 58,3 lux. Terdapat hubungan antara kadar debu terhirup (p=0,039), kelembaban udara (p=0,041), status merokok anggota keluarga (p=0,030), dan penggunaan anti nyamuk bakar (p=0,008) dengan kejadian pneumonia, sedangkan suhu udara (p=0,371), intensitas cahaya (p=0,295) tidak berhubungan dengan kejadian pneumonia.Simpulan: Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah  terdapat hubungan antara kualitas fisik udara dalam ruang rumah dengan kejadian pneumonia pada bayi di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bandarharjo Kota Semarang.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk: (1) mengembangkan instrumen ordered multiple-choice untuk diagnosis kesulitan belajar Stoikiometri kelas X, (2) menetapkan karakteristik dari instrumen, dan (3) membuat profil diagnostik peserta didik sebagai laporan yang informatif. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model Borg & Gall. Preliminary study menghasilkan pokok bahasan tersulit Stoikiometri. Penetapan atribut dan hierarki atribut dengan focus group discussion dilanjutkan dua putaran teknik Delphi. Indikator dan rumusan butir soal ditelaah expert untuk membuktikan validasi isi dengan rumus Aiken. Ujicoba terbatas dan ujicoba menengah pada sekolah kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Ujicoba kelayakan dilakukan pada sekolah-sekolah di wilayah Surakarta, Karanganyar, Boyolali, dan Sragen. Kesimpulan: (1) penelitian berhasil mengembangkan tiga paket soal Ordered Multiple Choice (OMC) untuk mendeteksi kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada materi Stoikiometri kelas X; (2) butir-butir soal OMC pada paket A, B, dan C memiliki validitas konstruk yang baik dengan Goodness of Fit (GoF) berdasar  Smart PLS > 0,36 yaitu 0,437; 0,466 dan 0,433. Instrumen memiliki reliabilitas tinggi berturut-turut 0,79; 0,81 dan 0,75; (3) profil peserta didik berupa laporan diagnostik  tentang atribut yang sudah dikuasai dan belum dikuasai peserta didik. Kata kunci: Attribute Hierarchy Method, Ordered Multiple Choice, Graded Response Model ______________________________________________________________ DEVELOPING A DIAGNOSTIC INSTRUMENT FOR LEARNING DIFFICULTIES IN CHEMISTRY IN SECONDARY HIGH SCHOOLAbstract The purposes of this study are to: (1) develop Ordered Multiple Choice (OMC) instruments with a model of Attribute Hierarchy Method (AHM) for the diagnosis of stoichiometry learning difficulties in chemistry learning in secondary high school, (2) determine the characteristic of instruments which have been developed based on the Graded Response Model (GRM), (3) create a diagnostic profile of learners as an informative report. This development research used the Borg & Gall model. The development of the instrument is done using the AHM with the form of OMC. The determination of attributes and attribute hierarchy was done by the focus group discussion (FGD) by three experts, six teachers, and two measurement experts and continued with the Delphi technique by three experts with two rounds. A limited try out was conducted in the high, medium, and low category schools. A feasibility try out was conducted to the high, medium, and low category schools in the regions of Surakarta, Karanganyar, Boyolali, and Sragen. The results are as follows. 1). This research has developed three packages of OMC to detect the learning difficulties of students in the subjects of Chemistry, especially in Stoichiometry of class X. 2). The OMC test items on packages A, B, and C have good construct validity with the Goodness of Fit (GoF) greater than 0.36 namely 0.437, 0.466, and 0.433. 3). The learners? profiles are created in the form of diagnostic report about the attributes which have been mastered and have not been mastered by the learners.Keywords: Attribute Hierarchy Method, Ordered Multiple Choice, Graded Response Model

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the appropriateness of ethno-based assessment instruments that can measure Higher Order Thinking Skills based on item response theory. Analysis of the assessment instruments that have been developed have the characteristics of local wisdom and was trialed in three Karanganyar Regency High Schools. Student data analyzed were 288 test scores, consisting of 11th-grade students who had obtained Mathematical Induction material. The method used to explain the results of the analysis uses descriptive analysis. The prerequisite test uses the Unidimensional test for the 35 items that were tested, which means that of the 11 factors formed there is only one dominant factor. The results of the analysis of the three-parameter methods on item response theory for the Goodness of Fit (GoF) parameter model that most fit is the 2-PL model. The results of the analysis can be seen in the output threshold of phase 2 of the 2-PL model regarding the level of difficulty of the grains at values of -0.54 to 2.21. The different grain power index can be seen from the output of the BILOG-MG phase 2 program, which is the slope value in the range of 0.156 to 1.174. Therefore, 34 valid items were obtained with good difficulty and different power levels. Reliability for 34 items 0.71, which means a reliable instrument. It is recommended to conduct a construct validity analysis using confirmatory factor analysis.

Abstract

Bundaran Hotel Indonesia was a Central Business District (CBD) with the poor air quality. It was as a resultof this condition. In 2017, the total of ?unhealthy?days had increased from 2 to 28 days. This indicated that the air quality was getting worse. Meteorology factor influencedthe pattern of air pollutants. The purpose of this study was todescribethe pattern of air pollutants in Bundaran HI and the surrounding area in 2017.This research was a descriptive analytic with cross sectional approach. The data analysis from this research used Rank Spearman. The secondary data of pollutant were taken from Daily Mean Value (DMV)from Dinas Lingkungan Hidup DKI Jakarta Province. The results showed that the average concentration of air pollutants were 50,60 µg/m3for PM10, 25,36 µg/m3 forSO2,1,79 mg/m3 for CO, 48,81 µg/m3for O3, and 12,70 µg/m3 for NO2. There was a significant correlation between wind speed and the level of PM10 (p=<0,0001,r=-0,444), O3 (p=<0,0001,r=-0,499), NO2 (p=<0,0001,r=-0,644). There was significant correlation between humidity and level of SO2 (p=<0,0001,r=-0,379) and CO (p=<0,0001,r=0,468). Wind speed and humidity contributed to air pollutants (PM10, SO2, CO, O3, NO2).

Abstract

 Abstract: The aim of this research was to know the effect of learning models on mathematics achievement viewed from the learning style. The learning models compared were Numbered Heads Together, Problem Based Learning, and classical with saintific approach (NHT, PBL, Classical). This research was a quasi experimental with the factorial design of 3×3. The population of this research was all of students in second  grade of Junior High Schools of Karanganyar regency in academic year 2014/2015. The samples of the research consisted of 245 students and were gathered through stratified cluster random sampling. The instruments consisted of  pre test, test of learning achievement and learning style questionnaire. Hypotheses testing was performed using two-way analysis of variance with unbalanced cells. Based on the results of hypotheses testing, it were concluded as follows. 1) NHT and PBL learning models gave the same mathematics achievement. Both learning models give a better mathematics learning achievement than classical model. 2) Students with visual and auditory learning style have better mathematics achievement than students with kinesthetic ones. On the other hand, students with visual and auditory learning style have equal mathematics learning achievement. 3) On all learning models, cooperative learning NHT type, problem based learning, and classical models, students with visual learning style have an equal mathematics learning achievement with auditory. Both learning style have a better mathematics learning achievement than kinesthetic ones, (4) On all visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style, cooperative learning with NHT type gives an equal  mathematics learning achievement with PBL. Abstract

Abstract: The purposes of this study were to determine: (1) among the cooperative learning model TAI type equipped AfL, TAI or direct learning equipped AfL that provide better learning achievement. (2) among students who have cognitive style type of field dependent or fields independent that provided better learning achievement. (3) on each of students group with cognitive style type (field dependent or field independent), which learning models that provide better learning achievement. (4) on each of learning model (cooperative learning model of TAI type equipped AfL, TAI or direct learning equipped AfL), which cognitive styles that provide better learning achievement. This research was quasi-experimental research. The population was all of seventh grade students of State Junior High School in Surakarta in academic year of 2013/2014. The research samples ware 302 students, taken used a stratified cluster random sampling technique. The data collection instruments used ware learning achievement test and cognitive style test. Hypothesis testing used unbalanced two ways analysis of variance. The research conclusions are as follows.  (1) The TAI learning model equipped AfL provides better learning achievement than TAI learning model and direct learning equipped AfL, while TAI learning model provides better learning achievement than direct learning model equipped AfL. (2) Students with cognitive style of field independent have better learning achievement than students with field dependent. (3) In the cognitive style of field dependent and field independent, TAI learning models equipped AfL provides better learning achievement than TAI learning model and direct learning model equipped AfL, while TAI learning model provides a better learning achievement than direct learning model equipped AfL. (4) In the TAI learning model equipped AfL, TAI and direct learning model equipped AfL, the students group with cognitive styles of field independent have better learning achievement than students with field dependent.  Keywords: TAI, AfL, Cognitive Style, and Learning Achievement.
