Abstract

Dance, for instance, Topeng Ayu from Tanon Semarang is one of Javanese cultures which becomes living tradition. It is a cultural expression of Tanon people on the outskirts of Semarang. As a symbol and identity of society, this dance has become a cultural agenda to promote cultural attractions and education. Although there is a shift from traditional to modern, Tanon people has still stood on the existing ancestral traditions.    This phenomenon is interesting to be studied from its symbolic interaction, namely form of shift and its influence on culture, especially Topeng Ayu Dance. This research is descriptive qualitative and aims at revealing the meaning of research object action. It uses a sociological approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and analyzed with an interactive analysis model. The findings of this study indicated that Topeng Ayu Dance is a folk art as well as product of the local culture of the Tanon people which has unique characteristic and symbol of local society. The term of Topeng Ayu initially means tata lempeng hayuning urip, philosophy of life that encourages people to live in peace, harmony, and tolerance in the midst of existing plurality. The symbols of this dance moves convey meanings namely respect, both when maju beksan, beksan and mundur beksan as a form of social interaction to create an open society.

Abstract

ABSTRAKDESAIN DASAR PORTAL MONITOR RADIASI UNTUK KENDARAAN. Kemungkinan penyalahgunaan bahan bakar nuklir dan bahan radioaktif harus ditekan serendah mungkin. Untuk keperluan hal ini, suatu portal monitor radiasi (PMR) kendaraan dapat digunakan dan dipasang di titik-titik pemeriksaan (check points) di fasilitas-fasilitas nuklir, industri, pelabuhan udara dan pelabuhan laut. PMR ini menggunakan detektor sintilasi NaI(Tl) untuk mendeteksi sinar gamma dan detektor berbasis 10B/ZnS(Ag) untuk mendeteksi neutron. Persyaratan desain telah ditetapkan. Persyaratan desain ini meliputi 20 aspek, antara lain konfigurasi fisik, identifikasi spektrum, user interface, deteksi radiasi, dan lain-lain. Desain konseptual dan desain awal peralatan PMR ini diuraikan dalam makalah ini. Makalah ini juga memberikan spesifikasi teknis detektor sintilasi, detektor neutron, multi-channel analyzer (MCA), catu daya tegangan tinggi, akuisisi data, sensor kecepatan, sensor occupancy, dan komputer sentral. Pembuatan desain rinci sebagai tahap berikutnya dari perancangan peralatan PMR ini perlu dilakukan.Kata kunci: Desain dasar, portal monitor radiasi, detektor sinar gamma, detektor neutron ABSTRACTBASIC DESIGN OF A RADIATION PORTAL MONITOR FOR VEHICLES. Possibility of unauthorized uses of nuclear and radioactive material should be minimized as low as possible. For this objective, a radiation portal monitor (RPM) for vehicles can be employed and installed at check points of nuclear and industrial facilities, airport, and harbors. This RPM utilizes scintillation detector NaI(Tl) to detect gamma rays and 10B/ZnS(Ag) based detector to detect neutron. A set of design requirement for this equipment has been defined. It includes 20 aspects, for example physical configuration, spectrum identification, user interface, radiation detection, et cetera. Conceptual design and basic design are described in this paper. This paper also outlines technical specification of scintillation detector, neutron detector, multi-channel analyzer (MCA), high voltage power supply, data acquisition, speedometer sensor, occupancy sensor, and central computer. Detailed design as the next phase of RPM engineering should be carried out later.Keywords: Basic design, radiation portal monitor, gamma ray detector, neutron detector

Abstract

A PROGRAMMING FOR POINT REACTOR KINETIC EQUATION USING LABVIEW. Development a program package that is able to simulate nuclear reactor operation system is useful to support socialization of nuclear power plant to society. Neutronic aspect of this simulator models reactor core as a point in order to simplify simulation process of reactor dynamics. Reactor kinetic equation obtained is known as point reactor kinetics equation. This equation is the first order of simultaneous differential equation, which relates reactivity to neutron population. This paper presents a program to solve the point reactor kinetics using Taylor method. Programming language used is LabVIEW. The algorithm and block diagram of the program are outlined. The output has identified a prompt jump in neutron density at early iteration caused by fast neutron contribution. The spreadsheet EXCEL is used to conform the output of the program in LabVIEW. Both EXCEL and LabVIEW give the same results. The result of the application of the point reactor kinetics program to nuclear reactor simulator is also presented. The use of LabVIEW in programming point reactor kinetics indicates that numerical solution using Taylor method provides satisfactory results and requires relatively simple programming technique.   PEMROGRAMAN PERSAMAAN KINETIKA REAKTOR TITIK DENGAN LABVIEW. Penyiapan suatu program perangkat lunak yang dapat mensimulasikan sistem operasi reaktor nuklir bermanfaat untuk mendukung sosialisasi PLTN kepada masyarakat. Aspek neutronik program simulator ini memodelkan sistem teras reaktor sebagai suatu titik dalam rangka untuk menyederhanakan proses simulasi dinamika reaktor. Persamaan kinetika reaktor yang dihasilkan dikenal sebagai persamaan kinetika reaktor titik. Persamaan ini merupakan persamaan differensial simultan tingkat satu, yang menghubungkan reaktivitas dengan populasi neutron. Makalah ini menyajikan program penyelesaian persamaan kinetika reaktor titik dengan metode Taylor. Bahasa pemrograman yang digunakan adalah LabVIEW. Algoritma dan diagram blok pemrograman disajikan. Luaran program berhasil menunjukkan adanya suatu prompt jump densitas neutron pada awal tren iterasi yang disebabkan oleh kontribusi neutron cepat. Spread sheet EXCEL digunakan untuk mengkonfirmasi luaran program LabVIEW. Keduanya memberikan luaran yang sama. Hasil aplikasi program kinetika reaktor titik ini pada perangkat lunak simulator reaktor nuklir juga ditampilkan. Pemakaian LabVIEW dalam pemrograman kinetika reaktor titik ini menunjukkan bahwa solusi numerik dengan metode Taylor memberikan hasil yang memuaskan dan memerlukan teknik pemrograman yang relatif sederhana.

Abstract

The problem studied is the form of performance and Barongsai choreography elements that are applied to help offering dan increasing the selling point of cultural tourism in Semarang. The objective of the study is to describe the form of performance and choreography elements of Barongsai as cultural tourism so that it can help the selling point of cultural tourism in Semarang. The result of the study, in general, is expected to be of beneficial as a theoretical and practical input to the related parties. In particular, the result of the study can provide empirical input for the artists, art observers, policy makers related to the cultural tourism. The method of the study uses qualitative approach. The study site was in Semarang. The data was collected by using controlled observation technique, deep interview, and documentary research. The data acquired is analyzed qualitatively by using interactive cycle model through reduction, presentation and verification process. The validation of the data and the analisys was done through trianggulation among research team. The result shows some findings. First, the form of Barongsai performance as cultural tourism is solid coreoragphy. Second, the coreography of Barongsai dance contain attractive elements and environmentally sound. Abstract

Warga masyarakat Semarang, sebagai satuan masyarakat yang hidup di daerah pesisirutara pulau Jawa, juga memiliki peristiwa yang dipandang khusus dan memiliki artipenting. Salah satu peristiwa penting bagi kehidupan warga masyarakat Semarang yaituketika menyambut datangnya bulan suci Ramadhan, warga masyarakat Semarang selalumenantikan upacara tradisional dugdheran. Tradisi dugdheran dilaksanakan setahun sekalimenjelang bulan Ramadhan dan berlangsung hingga sekarang. Fenomena ini menarikuntuk dikaji dari perspektif sosial budaya. Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian yangbertujuan mengungkap makna simbolik arak-arakan dalam upacara ritual dugdheran dikota Semarang. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan diperoleh hasil, maknasimbolik bentuk pertunjukan Arak-arakan sebagai upaya dakwah bagi pemuka agamaIslam, edukatif bagi orang tua, rekreatif bagi anak, dan promosi wisata bagi kepentinganbirokrat dan masyarakat.Kata Kunci: Arak-arakan, dhugdheran, bentuk pertunjukan, makna simbolik

Abstract

Kesenian tayub sampai saat ini masih sangat populer dan bahkan barangkali tidak adatari Jawa yang lebih populer dari tayub ini. Masalah yang diangkat dalam penelitian iniadalah mengapa komunitas tledhek mampu mewariskan tayub sebagai keseniantradisional rakyat dari generasi ke generasi berikutnya? Secara khusus dan lebih tegasrumusan masalahnya dinyatakan sebagai berikut. Bagaimana pola pewarisan keseniantayub secara tradisional dalam masyarakat Blora?Lokasi penelitian di Desa JeponKecamatan Jepon dan di Desa Todanan Kecamatan Todanan Kabupaten Blora.Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dandokumentasi. Proses analisis data yang ditempuh merujuk tiga jalur kegiatan analisisMilles dan Haberman.Ketiga komponen analisis tersebut aktivitasnya dengan prosesdari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi sebagai suatuproses siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pola pewarisan nilai-nilai keseniantayub secara tradisional dari tledhek atau joged senior kepada para wurukan sebagaigenerasi penerus telah mewarisi nilai pengetahuan, nilai sikap, dan nilai ketrampilanyang memadai serta kesiapan untuk melanjutkan usaha sebagai penari tayub ataujogged.Kata Kunci: Pola Pewarisan, Kesenian Tayub, Nilai-nilai Tayub

Abstract

The background of this study is the effort of solving the inheritance problem faced by Malaysia in the case of Malay Palace dance which is currently in decline. This study is done by using best practice from the The Development and Inheritance of Yogyakarta Classical Dance (TKGY) done by the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace and some formal and non-formal institutions in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. TKGY is chosen as it is viewed to have positive life in classical Palace dance and involve various actors and clear strategies. For three years, the researcher has done the research by observing the inheritance context (TKGY) to identify preservation phenomena done in Yogyakarta. This research is using a qualitative approach. The data are collected by doing in-depth interviews with some leaders of the main studios in Yogyakarta and Malay Palace dance choreographers in Malaysia. The result of the research shows that there are some similarities and differences between Malay palace dance in Malaysia and Yogyakarta classical dance. Some strategies have been used to describe how the Malaysian government adopts inheritance strategies (TKGY) used by actors in the inheritance discourse (TKGY).How to Cite: Saearani, M. F. T. Abstract

Sining dance is the parent of dances in Gayo. Sining dance is one of traditional dances that supports the development of tourism in Central Aceh. The purpose of this research is to analyze the Sining dance and its role of tourism in Central Aceh. The research method was qualitative descriptive and used ethnographic approach.The data collection was used techniques of observation, deep interview, and document study. Data validation was done with data triangulation, source triangulation, and method triangulation while the the analysis used data reduction, data presentation, and verification/conclusion drawing. The results show that the performance of Sining dance plyas a role as cultural attraction, Sining dance also becomes one of tourism attraction through documenter video, Sining dance in one of presentation in a show, and Sining dance is a means of entertainment. The occurence of Sining dance in tourism influences the economic benefit of Central Aceh community and automatically it can preserved Sining dance itself. This research is useful as a vehicle for developing studies on traditional art problems, and is useful as an empirical input for relevant government agencies.

Abstract

Pertunjukan Barongsai dalam upacara ritual Imlek yang dilangsungkan secara arak-arakan di Kota Semarang, merupakan pertunjukan budaya yang unik dan kbas. Aspek-aspek estetis pertunjukan yang disajikan sangat era!bertalian dengan simbol-simbol makuawi dengan !alar belakang pada pola budaya yang berlaku dan dijunjung oleh warga masyarakat pendukungnya. Secara kbusus masalah yang diaju­ kan dalarn penelitian ini adalah makua teks pertunjukan Barongsai dalam upacara ritual Imlek. Untuk mengkaji masalah tersebut digunakan pendekatan performance studies, sebagai payung teori dalam penelitian ini. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumen­ tasi. Bersamaan dengan proses pengumpulan data dilakukan juga tahapan analisis secara koalitatif dengan merujuk model analisis siklus interaktif. Prosedur analisis ditempuh melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan simpulan atau veriftkasi. Hasil penelitian menemukan makua dalarn teks pertunjukan Barongsai, yaitu (I) makua religius manusia dengan Tuhan, (2) makua relasi manusia dengan leluhur dan sesama, dan (3) makua harmoui dan atau keseimbangan antara manusia dan alam.

Abstract

Tengok Bustaman Tradition is a kind of art tradition in Bustaman village held once a year with various show performances, one of them is dance. The tradition of Tengok Bustaman is pioneered by Hysteria community where the aim is to address the city's issues with art as one of its approaches to build an artistic response in Bustaman society. Hysteria is a community that engages in city-sensitive research and with art as its approach. The formulation of the problem in this research is to explain the form of dance performances in Tengok Bustaman tradition, the function of dance performance in Tengok Bustaman tradition and artistic response in Bustaman village. This study uses a qualitative method. This research is studied through interdisciplinary approach named Performance Studies and Sociology of Art. The data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, document studies, and recording techniques. The validation technique uses source triangulation. The data analysis procedures include data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results show that the form of performances in Tengok Bustaman tradition is a dance performance. Dance performance in Bustaman village includes several processes such as pre-performance, performance and after performance. The function of dance performance in Bustaman Village is as the cause of educational media, entertainment media, and communication media and as a commercial media. The existence of dance performance in Tengok Bustaman tradition produces several artistic responses, among others are visual response, auditive response and environmental response. The dance performance in Tengok Bustaman tradition is able to provide changes and development of the village for the better future.
