Abstract

Textbooks have an important meaning for teachers. Textbooks can serve as a source of learning and teaching history, because in it there is material, illustrations, and a variety of evaluation, so that learning objectives can be achieved in an optimal history. The first selection of textbooks criteria is based on the relevance of the material contained in a text book with the structure of the curriculum. The next criterion is completeness of the material, number of illustrations, and a diverse training and evaluation. In learning history, there are two types of utilization of textbooks, namely the use of textbooks that students already have the book and the use of textbooks to students who do not have. In the schools that their students have no textbooks, textbooks used in a way lent to students. Constraints in the use of textbooks are a relatively expensive price, there is no actually discourse of history, limited number of books, the library utilization is not optimal, and the limited use of information techno-logy of the Internet. These constraints are also factors that hinder the maximum use of textbooks. .   Key words: textbooks, teacher of history, learning history

Abstract

Bioactivity-guided fractionation of a ethyl acetate extract of Garcinia lowa bark has led to the isolation and identification of a known prenylated xanthone, mangosharin, (2,6-dihydroxy-8-methoxy-5-(3-methylbut-2-enyl)-xanthone (1, 15.4 mg) The structure of the compound was identified from analysis of their spectroscopic data and by comparison with previous studies.Compound 1 showed anti-bacterial activity against Sreptococcus mutans with MIC value of 7.25 mg/mL. Abstract

Genus Garcinia diketahui kaya dengan senyawa santon teroksigenasi, santon terprenilasi dan benzofenon poliisoprenilasi.  Beberapa dari golongan senyawa ini memiliki aktivitas biologi yang bervariasi antara lain sebagai antibakteri, antioksidan, sitotoksik, dan antimalaria.  Garcinia cowa termasuk famili Guttiferae dan di Indonesia dikenal dengan nama asam kandis.  Dalam rangka investigasi berkelanjutan dari tumbuhan genus Garcinia asal Indonesia suatu senyawa santon kowanin telah berhasil diisolasi dari bagian   kulit batang Garcinia cowa.  Struktur molekul dari senyawa ini telah ditetapkan berdasarkan data spektroskopi meliputi UV, IR, dan NMR 1-D serta data yang diperoleh  dibandingkan  dengan data  literatur. Kata kunci:  G. cowa,  santon, kowanin

Abstract

The Research objectives of this class is to find out the influence of learning by improving skills and the quality by combining the observation-based on experiments in the laboratory, besides the students can develop skills, science process skills, solve problems and improve the interaction of students in the teaching and learning process. This research uses experimental methods consist of 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 components such as; planning, implementation measures, observation and reflection. The subject of this research is the grade XI at SMAN 1 Sigli. The research sample was obtained from class XI IPA 5 with 30 students. I the techniques of data collection of tests and observations or observations made objectively against aspects which will be observed in the form of data and information. Data collection tools in the form of a question and observation instrument of sheet. Performance indicators expected results enhanced learning occurred reached 75% for study result. Percentage of class action research on cycle I gained 56,67%, while on cycle II student learning increased to 83,33% for study result.

Abstract

Senyawa triterpenoid 3β-hidroksi-tirukal-7-en (1) telah diisolasi dari ekstrak daun kapi nango (Dysoxylum arborescens). Struktur kimia senyawa ditentukan menggunakan data spektroskopi yang meliputi IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, MS dan perbandingan dengan senyawa yang telah dilaporkan sebelumnya. Aktivitas sitotoksik senyawa 1 terhadap sel kanker payudara MCF-7  menunjukkan nilai IC50 155,1 ppm.

Abstract

Dysoxylum parasiticum (Meliaceae) merupakan salah satu spesies tumbuhan endemik Indonesia. Beberapa spesies dari genus yang sama telah diketahui kandungan senyawa dan keaktifannya sebagai antimalaria, antitumor, antimokroba, dan antiinflamasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh nilai LC50 ekstrak n-heksana, etil asetat, metanol dari daun dan kulit batang D. parasiticum terhadap larva Artemia salina, serta struktur kimia senyawa hasil isolasi. Satu senyawa turunan flavonoid, kuersetin (1), bersama-sama dengan senyawa fenolik skopoletin (2) telah diisolasi berturut-turut dari daun dan kulit batang D. parasiticum (Meliaceae). Struktur molekul senyawa-senyawa tersebut telah ditetapkan berdasarkan data spektroskopi UV, IR, MS, dan NMR serta perbandingan terhadap data yang telah dilaporkan sebelumnya. Uji toksisitas ekstrak n-heksana, etil asetat, dan metanol dari daun D. parasiticum menunjukkan nilai LC50 berturut-turut 13,3, 37,2, dan 7 ppm. Ekstrak n-heksana, etil asetat, dan metanol dari kulit batang D. parasiticum menunjukkan nilai LC50 berturut-turut 127,9, 52,3, dan 25,2 ppm. Senyawa kuersetin (1) dan skopoletin (2) menunjukkan nilai LC50 berturut-turut sebesar 7,4 dan 18,2 ppm.

Abstract

The genus Garcinia is known to be a rich source of oxygenated xanthone, prenylated xanthone, and polyisoprenylated benzophenones. Some of them exhibiting various biological activities such as antimycrobachterial,antioxidant, cytotoxic, and antimalaria activities. Garcinia cowa belonging to the Guttiferaefamily, in Indonesia this plant is locally named asamkandis In our continuing phytochemical investigation of Garcinia plants is found in Indonesia a xanthone cowanine compound has been isolated from the steam bark of Garctnia cowa. The structure of this compound has been determined base on spectroscopic data including uv, lR,J-D NMR, and these are comparedwith the literaturedata.Keywords: Garcinia cowa, xanthone, cowanine

Abstract

The term endophytic refers to a bacteria or a fungi microorganism that colonizes interior organs of plants, but does not have pathogenic effects on its host. In their symbiotic association, the host plant protects and feeds the endophytic, which ";in return"; produces bioactive metabolites to enhance the growth and compotitiveness of the host and to protect it from herbivores and plant pathogens. Plants with ethnobotanical history, for example brotowali (Tinaspora crispa L), are likely candidates to find bioactive compounds. Two alkaloids have been isolated from endophytic fungi of brotowali. The molecular structures of the isolated compounds were determined based on spectroscopic data, including UV, IR, NMR 1D and 2D spectrum. The compounds were determined as: 7- hydroxy-3,4,5-trimethyl-6-on-2,3,4,6-tetrahydroisoquinoline-8-carboxylic acid (1) and 2,5-dihydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)pyridin-4-on (2). The compound has antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum 3D7, with IC50 values 0,129 µM and 0,127 µM.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are : (1) to know the kindergarten teachers’ competence in writing, and (2) to know the kindergarten teachers’ productive language errors.The data collection is done by using writing and speaking techniques. The data analysis is done using interactive model suggested by Miles and Huberman, that consists of : (1) data reduction, (2) data display and (3) conclusion drawing.The results of the research show that there is a lot of problem in teeachers’ language competence. In writing there are some errors made by the teachers. The errors consists of (1) the errors in using punctuation, (2) the writing of prefixes, (3) the wrong writing of preposition, (4) the double use of copula, (5) the wrong writing of words, (6) false reasoning’s, (7) the wrong writing of conjunction, and (8) interference.
