Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa secara finansial tentang biaya produksi dan tingkat keuntungan usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur jantan pada kepadatan kandang yang berbeda. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam ras petelur jantan strain Isa Brown, berjumlah 208 ekor umur 1 hari (DOC). Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap, terdiri atas 4 perlakuan kepadatan kandang dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan kepadatan kandang antara lain K1: 10 ekor/m2, K2: 12 ekor/m2, K3: 14 ekor/m2, dan K4: 16 ekor/m2. Variabel yang diamati: biaya produksi, penerimaan usaha, pendapatan usaha, dan kelayakan usaha. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menghitung rata-rata pendapatan usaha peternakan dan kelayakan usaha ayam ras petelur jantan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa biaya produksi tertinggi terdapat pada biaya variabel, dimana pada biaya variabel biaya pakan adalah biaya yang mendominasi dalam usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur jantan. Total biaya produksi terendah terdapat pada perlakuan K1 yaitu Rp. 15.909,-/ekor dan tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan K2 yaitu Rp. 16.824,-/ekor. Penerimaan usaha tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan K1 Rp. 26.136,-/ekor dan penerimaan terendah terdapat pada perlakuan K4 Rp. 24.550,-/ekor. Keuntungan tertinggi diperoleh pada perlakuan K1 Rp. 10.227,-/ekor dan terendah pada perlakuan K4 Rp. 7.998,-/ekor. Hasil analisis R/C ratio pada kepadatan kandang 10, 12, 14, dan 16 ekor/m2 memperoleh nilai lebih besar dari 1. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa usaha ayam ras petelur jantan menguntungkan dan layak diusahakan. Disimpulkan bahwa secara finansial usaha peternakan ayam ras petelur jantan pada kepadatan kandang 10-16 ekor/m2 menguntungkan dan layak diusahakan/diteruskan.  (Financial Analysis of Male Chicken Layers with Different Cage Density) ABSTRACT. This study aims to analyze financially the production costs and the profitability of male laying chicken farms at different cage densities. Animals used for research amounting to 208 birds male layer DOC strain Isa Brown. The study was designed into Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications; K1:10 birds/m2, K2:12 birds/m2, K3:14 birds/m2 and K4:16 birds/m2. Observed variables were: production cost, business revenue, operating revenues, and business feasibility. The data analysis was to calculate the financial analysis of male layer chickens. The results showed that the highest production cost was found in variable cost, and feed cost was the dominant cost in the male layer chickens. The lowest total production cost is in K1 treatment which was Rp. 15.909,- /birds and the highest was in K2 treatment is Rp. 16.824,-/birds. The highest business acceptance was in K1 treatment Rp. 26.136,-/birds and lowest acceptance on K4 treatment Rp. 24.550,-/birds. The highest profit is obtained in the treatment of K1 Rp. 10.227,-/birds and lowest on treatment K4 Rp. 7,998, -/birds. The result of R/C ratio analysis at density of 10, 12 14, and 16 birds / m2 has value greater than 1. This indicates that the business of male layer chickens is profitable and feasible to be continued. It was concluded that financially the farming business of male layer chickens in the density of 10-16 birds/m2 was favorable and feasible.

Abstract

The research aims to study the use of synbiotics as feed additives in rations on describe lesions histopathology and population of lactic acid bacteria in duodenum infected with Escherichia coli. The study used 96 broiler Jumbo series A Cibadak strains which were maintained until the age of six weeks. The study was conducted by experimental method, using a completely randomized design (CRD) with eight treatments of rations and four replications. The broilers were devided into eight treatment diets: R1 (basal diet/control), R2 (basal diet + prebiotic 0.4%); R3 (basal diet + probiotic 108 CFU); R4 (basal diet + prebiotic 0.4% + probiotic 108 CFU); R5 (basal diet + infected with E. coli 104 CFU); R6 (basal diet + prebiotic 0.4% + infected with E. coli 104 CFU); R7 (basal diet + probiotic 108 CFU + infected with E. coli 104 CFU); and R8 (basal diet + prebiotic 0.4% + probiotic 108 CFU + infected with E. coli 104 CFU). The observed variables were histopathology based on lesio microscopic and lactic acid bacteria population in duodenum age 2, 4 and 6 weeks. Data was analyzed by using one-way analysis of variance then continued with Duncan test. The results showed that the use of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics significantly (P<0.05) decreased histopathological lesio score and increased the population of lactic acid bacteria in duodenum age 2, 4 and 6 weeks. In conclusion the use of synbiotics as feed additives in the ration a positive on describe lesions histopathological and increase in the population of lactic acid bacteria in duodenum age 2, 4 and 6 weeks infected and not infected with E. coli.

Abstract

Administrator sebagai perumus dan implementator kebijakan memegang peranan penting dalam pencapain tujuan Negara yang akan terimplementasikan dalam setiap program nyata yang akan dirasakan oleh masyarakat, dengan tujuan utama masyarakat sejahtera. Formulasi merupakan langkah awal dan menjadikan pedoman bagi para administrator dalam menjalankan setiap program dan kegiatan yang akan dilaksanakannya. Kebijakan kurikulum 2013 merupakan salah satu langkah pemerintah melalui Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan dalam rangka mengimplementasikan kebijakan ini. Implementasi kebijakan kurikulum 2013 yang diimplementasikan pada pertengahan tahun 2013, sebagai tindak lanjut dari Undang-Undang Nomor 20 tahun 2003, dan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 19 tahun 2005, mempunyai peranan penting dalam pengembangan pendidikan di Indonesia. Permasalahan yang timbul dan menjadi isu public tidak mencerminkan akan filosofi yang terkandung dalam semangat kurikulum 2013 yang secara normative sangat mendukung terhadap perubahan paradigma pemikiran kependidikan yang berpangkal pada perubahan mind set tenaga kependidikan maupun anak didik. Hasil yang diharapkan dengan kebijakan kurikulum ini, pemerintah, pendidik, anak didik dan stakeholdesr dapat bersinergi untuk terciptanya kualitas pendidikan dan berkarakter ke Indonesiaan.

Abstract

Effect of prebiotic oligosaccharide extract rumbia fruit (Metroxylon sago Rottb.) in the ration on broiler performanceABSTRACT. Prebiotic oligosaccharides are thought to provide beneficial effects in the gastrointestinal tract of humans and animals by stimulating growth of selected members of the intestinal microflora. Prebiotic oligosaccharides are defined as nondigestible food ingredients that provide beneficial effects to the host by stimulating the growth of selected microbial members of the gastrointestinal tract. Among the colonic bacteria capable of metabolizing prebiotic oligosaccharides and whose growth is stimulated are species of Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium. Prebiotic oligosaccharides can be produced in transgli-cosylation reactions catalyzed by glycosidases. Glycosidases from different biological sources have specific ability to catalyze the formation of oligosaccharides with particular chain lengths (usually DP 7) and predominant glycosidic linkages. Oligosaccharide used this research was purified rumbia fruit extract as prebiotic for feed additive in the ration on broiler. The objectives of this research were to study the performance of broiler given of prebiotic oligosaccharide extract rumbia fruit (metroxylon sago Rottb.) in the ration. Two hundred day-old chicks of broiler were divided into three dietary treatments and four replications. Ration used was consisted of: R1 = basal ration (control), R2 = basal ration + 0,4% oligosaccharide extract rumbia fruit, and R3 = basal ration + 0,4% frukto-oligosaccharide (FOS). The variables observed were: feed consumption, body weight, feed conversion ratio, mortality, and production index. The result showed that the performances of the broiler supplemented prebiotic oligosaccharide extract rumbia fruit (R2) was significantly (P 0.05) differences between of feed consumption, body weight, and mortality. It is concluded that of prebiotic oligosaccharide extract rumbia fruit were able to decrease the mortality and feed consumption at six week of age.

Abstract

Probiotics is a feed additive in the form of life microorganisms that balance microorganism population in the digestive tract. While prebiotics is a feed substance which is not digested, and selectively improves growth and activity of useful microbes in large intestine. The objectives of this research were to study the carcass percentage and carcass quality of broilers given a ration containing probiotics and prebiotics. Four hundred eighty day-old chicks of broiler Arbor Acres strain were divided into four dietary treatments and three replications (40 birds / replicate). Ration used was consisted of: R1 = basal ration + 0.01% antibiotics (Zinc bacitracin), R2 = basal ration + 0.2% probiotics (Bacillus spp), R3 = basal ration + 0.2% probiotics + 0.5% prebiotics and R4 = basal ration + 0.5% prebiotics (katuk leaves). The variables observed were: carcass percentage, fat content in the abdomen, liver and carcass, cholesterol content in the liver, carcass and blood serum. The results showed that the carcass quality of broiler received probiotics and prebiotics either independently or the combination was significantly (P<0.05) different. The fat content of liver and thigh, and breast cholesterol of R3 was significantly (P<0.05) lower than that of the control (R1). It is concluded that combination of probiotics and prebiotics were able to decrease the carcass fat and cholesterol content at six week of age. Key Words: Probiotics, Prebiotics, Carcass, Broilers

Abstract

Increasing electrical energy consumption in a region due to economic development must be anticipated as early as possible in order to ensure that electricity is available sufficiently in affordable price. One method for the anticipation is forecasting electrical energy consumption. This paper aims to forecast electrical energy consumption using Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning system (LEAP) software for study case in Bireuen District. Based on historical data since 2012 in form of population development, number of customers, electrification ratio, energy intensity, and profile of electrical energy consumption, an analysis is carried out to forecast the future electrical energy demand in Bireuen District until 2026. The analysis predict that in 2026, the number of electricity customers will reach 183,016 customers with an average growth of 4.7% per year, and electricity consumption will reach 563.02 GWh with an average growth of 10.67% per year. In addition, the electrification ratio will continue to increase to 99.42% in 2026 while the energy elasticity will continue to decline to reach 0.61 in that year. Keywords: electrical energy, electrical energy consumption, electrification ratio, energy elasticity, LEAPAbstrakMeningkatnya konsumsi energi listrik suatu daerah karena peningkatan taraf perekonomian harus diantisipasi sedini mungkin agar energi listrik tersedia dalam jumlah yang cukup dan harga yang terjangkau. Salah satu yang perlu dilakukan dalam mengantisipasi hal tersebut adalah peramalan kebutuhan energi listrik. Makalah ini bertujuan untuk meramal kebutuhan energi listrik menggunakan perangkat lunak Long-range Energy Alternatives Planning system (LEAP) dengan mengambil kasus pada Kabupaten Bireuen. Berdasarkan data-data historis sejak tahun 2012 berupa pertumbuhan penduduk, jumlah pelanggan, rasio elektrifikasi, intensitas energi, dan profil konsumsi energi listrik, maka dilakukan analisis untuk memprakirakan kebutuhan energi listrik di Kabupaten Bireuen untuk masa mendatang sampai dengan tahun 2026. Hasil analisis data meramalkan bahwa pada tahun 2026, jumlah pelanggan listrik akan mencapai 183.016 pelanggan dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan adalah 4,7 % per tahun, dan konsumsi energi listrik akan mencapai 563,02 GWh dengan rata-rata pertumbuhan sebesar 10,67 % per tahun. Selain itu, diperoleh juga bahwa rasio elektrifikasi akan meningkat terus mencapai 99,42 % pada tahun 2026 sedangkan elastisitas energi akan menurun terus mencapai angka 0,61 pada tahun tersebut. Kata Kunci: energi listrik, kebutuhan energi listrik, rasio elektrifikasi, elastisitas energi, LEAP.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penggunaan wafer ransum komplit mengandung limbah kopi pada itik peking dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui berat akhir dan persentase karkas. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah itik peking umur 1 hari (DOD) sebanyak 96 ekor dibagi dalam 4 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Ransum yang digunakan satu bulan pertama adalah ransum komersil, dan satu bulan terakhir wafer ransum komplit mengandung limbah kopi. Ransum perlakuan yang diberikan adalah: P0 = Wafer ransum komplit 0% limbah kopi (kontrol), P1 = Wafer ransum komplit 2,5% limbah kopi, P2 = Wafer ransum komplit 5% limbah kopi, dan P3 = Wafer ransum komplit 7,5% limbah kopi. Parameter yang diamati: bobot hidup, bobot karkas, bobot potongan karkas, persentase karkas, dan persentase potongan karkas. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap. Data dianalisis dengan analysis of variance dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan limbah kulit kopi sebagai bahan penyusun ransum itik peking dalam bentuk wafer ransum komplit berpengaruh nyata terhadap bobot akhir. Penggunaan limbah kulit kopi 2,5% dalam ransum secara signifikan (P 0.05) meningkatkan bobot karkas dan potongan karkas. Dapat disimpulkan penggunaan limbah kulit kopi sebanyak 2,5% sebagai bahan penyusun wafer ransum komplit tidak memberi pengaruh negatif terhadap bobot badan akhir, persentase karkas dan potongan karkas itik peking.  (Carcass percentage of peking duck feed wafer complete ration containing of coffee waste) ABSTRACT. This research was conducted to study the effectiveness of wafer complete ration containing coffee waste on the final body weight and carcass percentage. The study used 96 DOD Peking duck. Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. Rations used during the first month was a commercial ration, and then subsequently wafer complete ration of coffee waste given as treatments; P0 = wafer complete ration contained 0% of coffee waste (control), P1 = wafer complete ration 2,5% of coffee waste, P2 = wafer complete ration 5% of coffee waste, and P3 = Wafer complete ration 7,5% of coffee waste. The observed variables were: final body weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, carcass component weight, and carcass component percentage. Collected data was analyzed by ANOVA and followed by Duncan? Multiple Range Test if there was a significant different between treatments. The results showed wafer complete ration containing coffee waste was significantly (P 0.05) effect on  final body weight. Feed containing 2,5 % of coffee waste significantly (P 0.05) effect on carcass weight and carcass percentage. It is concluded that no negatif effect of wafer complete ration containing 2,5 % coffee waste on final body weight and carcass percentage of peking duck.

Abstract

In vitro analysis of oligosaccharide from extract rumbia fruit (Metroxylon sago Rottb.) as prebioticABSTRACT. Despite a range of commercially available oligosaccharides there is plenty of room to develop new, functionally enhanced prebiotics. current generation of oligosaccharides was not rationally developed. better understanding of factors determining the prebiotic activity of a particular oligosaccharide. Despite the range of commercially available oligosaccharides mixtures (mainly fructo and galacto-oligosaccharides), very few studies are focused on the mechanisms behind the prebiotic activity of particular oligosaccharides. Probably this lack is due to the unavailability of well characterized oligosaccharide fractions for prebiotic function assessment. The objectives of this research were to asses the ability of lactic acid bacteria in fermentation of oligosaccharide and as prebiotic (in vitro). Material used was oligosaccharide of purified rumbia fruit extract. Analysis of oligosaccharide as prebiotic was conducted in vitro using lactic acid bacteria. The lactic acid bacteria consisted Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium animalis, Lactobacillus bulgaricus and Lactobacillus casei Rhamnosus. The growth media for bacteria was a liquid MRS basic medium where glucose was substituted by oligosaccharide of purified rumbia fruit extract. Incubation was in aerob for Lactobacillus and anaerob for Bifidobacterium in incubator 37oC. The lactic acid bacteria was calculated 24-48 hours during incubation periode. The variables observed were: oligosaccharide component, ability of lactic acid bacteria in fermentation of oligosaccharide, and growth of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium). The result showed that the oligosaccharide component from extract rumbia fruit consisted of: sucrose, stacchiose, and raffinose. The result showed that the oligosaccharide extract rumbia fruit was significantly (P 0.05) the growth of lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus and Bifidobacterium) and fermentation of oligosaccharide. It is concluded that oligosaccharide of rumbia fruit extract could be used as prebiotic.

Abstract

Abstrak.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh substitusi sebagian ransum komersil periode finisher dengan pakan fermentasi berbasis Azolla sp terhadap berat akhir dan persentase karkas ALPU.   Penelitian dilakukan  diLaboratorium Lapangan Peternakan (LLP),  Program Studi Perternakan,  Fakultas Pertanian, Universitas Syiah Kuala, tanggal 14 Februari‒23 April 2017.  Penelitian menggunakan 80 ekor DOC Unsexed, produksiLembaga Breeding Agripet Perkasa (LBAP). Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK),  terdiri dari 4perlakuan dan 4 kelompok.   Tiap kelompok merupakan unit percobaan, masing-masing terdiri dari lima ekor ayam.Perlakuan yang  dicobakan adalah pemberian pakan fermentasi berbasis Azolla sp sebanyak 0%, 5%, 10%, dan 15%. Parameter yang diamati meliputi bobot akhir, bobot karkas, persentase karkas, bobot dan persentase potongan karkas. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa subsitusi sebagian ransum komersil dengan bahan pakan fermentasi berbasis Azolla sp tidak berpengaruh nyata  terhadap berat dan persentase karkas, berat potongan karkas dan persentase potongan karkas ALPU umur 10 minggu. Meskipun tidak berbeda nyata, berat karkas ALPU yang diberikan ransum komersil dengan substitusi 5 %, 10 %, 15 %  pakan fermentasi Azolla sp (P1 sampai P3) lebih tinggi daripada tanpa pakan fermentasi berbasis Azolla sp (P0). ALPU yang diberikan pakan fermentasi berbasis Azolla sp  (P1sampai P3) memiliki bobot dan persentase dada, sayap, paha dan punggung lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan ALPU yang diberikan 100% ransum komersil (P0). Hasil analisis statistik terhadap kelompok ALPU umur 10 minggu berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap berat hidup, berat dan persentase potongan karkas (dada, sayap, paha dan punggung), namun tidak menunjukkan perbedaan  yang nyata pada berat dan persentase karkas. Disimpulkan bahwa ransum komersil N511 dapat disubsitusikan dengan pakan fermentasi berbasis Azolla sp selama periode pemeliharaan 3-10 minggu tanpa berpengaruh negatif terhadap berat hidup, berat,  persentase karkas dan  potongan karkas ayam ALPU umur 10 minggu.  The Use of Azolla Sp of Fermented Feed As Substitution of Most Commercial Weighted Commercial Rations and Appearance of Superior Local Chicken Carcasses (ALPU)Abstract. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of substitution of some commercial rations finisher period with Azolla sp's fermented feed on the final weight and percentage of ALPU carcass. The research was conducted at Field Laboratory of Animal Husbandry (LLP), Livestock Breeding Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, 14 February-23April, 2017. The study used 80 DOC Unsexed, Breeding Agripet Perkasa (LBAP), Binjai. The design used was Randomized Block Design (RAK), consisting of 4 treatments and 4 groups. Each group is an experimental unit, each consisting of five chickens. The treatments were Azolla sp. Fermentation based on 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%. Parameters observed include final weight, weight, percentage of carcass, weight and percentage of carcass. The results of this study show that the substitution of some commercial rations with fermented feed ingredients based on Azolla sp has no significant effect on the weight and percentage of carcass, carcass weight and percentage of 10 weeks of ALPU carcass. Although not significantly different, ALPU carcass weight given commercial ration with 5% substitution, 10%, 15% fermented Azolla sp feed (P1 to P3) was higher than without Azolla sp (P0) based fermentation feed. ALPU given fermented feed based on Azolla sp (P1 to P3) has higher weight and percentage of chest, wings, thighs and back than ALPU given 100% commercial ration (P0). The result of statistical analysis on ALPU group age 10 weeks had significant effect (P <0,05) to live weight, weight and percentage of carcass (chest, wings, thighs and back) but did not show significant difference in weight and percentage of carcass. It was concluded that commercial N511 ration could be substituted with Azolla sp-based fermentation feed during maintenance period of 3-10 weeks without negatively affecting weight of life, weight, carcass percentage and 10 weeks of ALPU chicken carcass.

Abstract

ABSTRAK. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat kepadatan kandang yang berbeda terhadap performan dan persentase karkas. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam ras petelur jantan strain Isa Brown dari PT Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm, Medan, sebanyak 208 ekor berumur 1 hari (DOC). Penelitian dilakukan secara eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL), terdiri atas 4 perlakuan tingkat kepadatan kandang dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Perlakuannya antara lain adalah K1: 10 ekor/m2, K2:  12 ekor/m2, K3:  14 ekor/m2, K4:  16 ekor/m2. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analysis of variance dan jika memberikan hasil yang nyata dilanjutkan dengan Uji Duncan. Variabel yang diamati meliputi: konsumsi ransum, pertambahan bobot badan, bobot badan akhir, konversi ransum, mortalitas, bobot karkas dan persentase karkas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan kandang yang berbeda 10, 12 14, dan 16 ekor/m2 tidak memberi pengaruh yang nyata terhadap konsumsi ransum ayam ras petelur jantan umur 6 minggu. Demikian juga halnya terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, bobot badan akhir, konversi ransum, bobot karkas. Pemeliharaan ayam ras petelur jantan pada kepadatan kandang yang berbeda tidak mengalami mortalitas (0%) selama 6 minggu penelitian. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kepadatan kandang yang berbeda 10, 12, 14 dan 16 ekor/m2 tidak mempengaruhi performan, dan persentase karkas ayam ras petelur jantan umur 6 minggu. Pemeliharaan ayam ras petelur jantan masih dapat dilakukan pada kepadatan kandang 16 ekor/m2 tanpa mempengaruhi performan dan persentase karkas. (Performance and carcass percentage of male chicken layers with different density) ABSTRACT. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the performance and carcass percentage of male layer chickens in different density of cage. U 208 male layer DOC, strain Isa Brown produced by PT. Charoen Pokphand Jaya Farm, Medan. The study was designed into Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 4 replications; K1: 10 birds/m2, K2: 12 birds/m2, K3: 14 birds/m2  and K4: 16 birds/m2.Data was analyzed by Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), a significant difference, would be analyzed with the Duncan Multiple Range Test. Measured variables were, body weight, feed consumption, feed conversion, mortality, and carcass percentage. The results  indicated that different density of cage has no significant effect on final body weight, body weight gain, feed intake, feed conversion and carcass percentage of male layer chickens. Density of cage did not influence to mortality rate of male . In conclusion, density of  cage of 10, 12, 14, and 16 birds/m2 did not affect performance and carcass percentage of  male chicken layers.
