Abstract

The variability and complexities of limiting factors in development have been exist in community. Works in agriculture sector need lot of attention in development plan. Therefore, it needs a concise study of constraints and future agriculture development. A descriptive study and FGD technique and snowball sampling method were used to approach local community in gaining related information. The findings reported that the primary constraints hampered local communities were farmers’ motivation, state officers’ performances, and capital investment performances. The available quality seeds and breeds will have strategic position in planned agriculture development.

Abstract

Many studies have explored animals without providing its physical environment, whereas, this information can provide broad understanding for the importance of ecological components. This study tried to combine some studies on how importance the ecological means on the density and population as well as morphometric of the monitor lizards. Data was analysed using SPSS version 18.0 and presented descriptively using tables and graphics. Results show that density and population had association with wide areas of islands and distances from mainland. Morphometric as well had association with carrying capacity and richness of feeding.

The results indicates that all factors included in the model, simultaneously, affect the production costs. Partially, input such as dayold chick (DOC) costs, feed costs, electricity costs, production positively affect the system. Labor costs on the other hand, have a negative effect on the system. The cost of drugs and fuel has no effect on broiler production costs using the open house system.

Abstract

Tambrauw Regency is obliged to safeguard the policies of the central government, especially in food self-sufficiency efforts. Determine locations that have land suitability specifications for soybeans and analyze farming agribusiness as an important factor in agricultural development. The research activity was carried out in Kebar District and Senopi District. Peanut farmers are the focus of research, with the consideration that peanuts and soybeans are a family (leguminoseae). At this stage, the study of the characteristics and specifications of the Kebar District and Senopi District areas as potential areas for the development of soybean commodities was carried out. The study of the shape, pattern, type and pattern of farming, as well as the use of agricultural production facilities by the farming community is carriedout. Data and information from various branches of farming were held with community discussions in the form of FGD. Data analyzed descriptively. The results showed low availability of potassium in flat areas and forests and acidic soil pH in flat-savanna regions. The hindering area is the slope, and flat areas only lack potassium. Potential food crops to be developed are upland rice plants and yams. The results of evaluation of land suitability for horticultural plants (Peanuts, Mustard, Tomatoes and Chillies) show "quite suitable" to "according to the margins". The farming production of Kebar was dominated by agricultural commodities and provides enough income for the household economy.
