Abstract

Kendati ayah diketahui berperan sebagai pendukung praktik pemberian air susu ibu (ASI), akses ayah terhadap informasi mengenai praktik pemberian ASI yang benar sangat minim. Buku dapat menjadi salah satu saluran informasi yang potensial. Studi pendahuluan ini bertujuan untuk menggali pendapat para pembaca sukarelawan laki-laki dan perempuan mengenai isi dan manfaat sebuah buku tentang ASI dan peran ayah. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Sukarelawan dipilih sebagai informan secara purposif berdasarkan tingkat pendidikan, jenis kelamin, status perkawinan, paritas, dan tingkat kegemaran membaca buku. Analisis isi (content analysis) dilakukan terhadap hasil wawancara dengan menggunakan matriks perbandingan (comparative matrix). Sebagai temuan studi ini, setelah membaca buku umumnya seluruh informan menyatakan bahwa buku yang dibaca penting dan bermanfaat. Namun, informan berpendapat bahwa praktik pemberian ASI masih menjadi urusan kaum perempuan. Seluruh informan sependapat bahwa ayah berperan membantu ibu menyusui agar sukses memberikan ASI.Peran yang dapat dilakukan ayah bagi ibu menyusui umumnya bersifat dukungan psikologis. Disarankan agar dilakukan studi lanjutan tentang pengaruh buku ini dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku pembacanya.Kata kunci: Buku, praktik pemberian ASI, peran ayahAbstractAlthough fathers were known supportive in mothers’ breastfeeding practice, they have limited access toward correct information about breastfeeding practice. Book can be a potential source of information for fathers. This preliminarystudy is aimed at exploring opinion about a book containing information about breastfeeding and the role of father from voluntary male and female readers as informants. This study employed qualitative approach. Informants were recruited purposively based on their educational level, sex, marital status, parity, and fondness of book reading. Content analysis was employed for analysis. This study found that all informants stated that the book is important and beneficial, however, breastfeeding is as female domain. Having the book read, all informants agreed that fathers do play roles in breastfeeding practice, that is in this study found to be related to psychological support to the breastfeeding mothers. It is suggested that this study needs to be followed up by other study to assess the effect of the book in improving the knowledge, attitude, and practice of the readers.Key words: book, breastfeeding practice, father’s roles

Abstract

Background : Teens today are likely to consume fewer vegetables and fruits, but increase the number of soft drinks consumption, high-fat foods, and foods high in sugar. Ones eating habits, including perceptions of vegetables and fruits is influenced by knowledge, gender, body shape imaging (body image), the availability of fruits and vegetables at home, and the family diet. Method :Using a qualitative approach to the informant as many as 24 people. Purposive sampling technique sampling. Data analysis process by reducing, summarizing, taking the essence of the data, then presented the form of a narrative, quotations, and transferred in the form of a matrix . Result : The results showed that adolescents Palembang, particularly women, to consume less fiber than a serving junior high and youth should have a lower knowledge of high school teens. Fiber consumption habits in adolescents is closely related to the supervision of a parent either directly or advice they provide as well as the availability of fruits and vegetables at home. Conclusion : In conclusion Palembang teens know the term fiber of parents, teachers, media, and peers. Although every teenager has a dream physique, but does not affect grain consumption habits, but activities outside the home, peer influence, and the availability of fruits and vegetables at home that affect it. Most teens do not have the habit of Palembang family meals that make teenagers more rare to get advice from parents about good diet. Keywords : Perception, Teens, Fiber

Abstract

Endemic diseases dangerous such as dengue fever must be handling seriously  for the risk minimize by the disease. Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is  disease  has not been found vaccine or cure is powerful. It is  necessary  treatment to prevent the occurrence of dengue fever, especially when it came to the incidence of dengue fever endemic in certain areas by doing Epidemiologist dengue fever. Epidemiology is identification of risk factors for DHF to find level of area  risk. Risk factors of hemorrhagic fever endemic must be identified  to prevent the occurrence of dengue fever. Identifying risk factors and  risk factors association  can  potential increase  the occurrence of dengue fever. This study developed  mapping information system Dengue epidemic through Association rule method of data mining. The information generated in the map of epidemic DHF level based association of potential risk factors that cause hemorrhagic fever endemic. Analysis with the Association Rule to determine level of  DHF epidemic area based data reporting system. Abstract

Background: The government of Indonesia has made early initiation of breastfeeding policy in Government Policy No. 33 2012 where health workers and providers of health facilities are required to do early initiation of breastfeeding. But, based on Basic Health Research, the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding in Indonesia is only 29,3% and 29,2% in South Sumatra. Method: This research is descriptive research that uses qualitative approaching. The informants of this research consist of 11 people. The data collecting method used in this research is in-depth interview and observation. The data collecting tools are interview guidance and observation checklist. The data analysis technique used in this research is content analysis. The data then interpreted in tables and narration in order to interpret those data. Result: The communication in socializing early initiation of breastfeeding at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang to the health workers had not been done yet. On the other side, the procedure operating standard of early initiation of breastfeeding had not been made yet so that the health workers were only guided by the information they got from college. While the abilities and skills of health workers were not good enough although the number of health workers were enough, whereas facilities, structures, and fund for supporting early initiation of breastfeeding had not been provided yet by Hospital. The response of health workers to early initiation of breastfeeding was different from each other. There were some health workers who did not supported. Conclusion: It can be concluded that the resistances of early initiation of breastfeeding at Bhayangkara Hospital Palembang are communication, structure, resources and response. Abstract

Background : Breast milk is the best and the perfect food for babies because it contains all the nutrients a baby needs and developments. Breast-feeding exclusively given to infants without any additional food until the baby is 6 months old. Exclusive breastfeeding is very beneficial for the babys immune system, growth, and development. But many mothers are not exclusively breastfed. Methods : This study uses cross sectional analytic approach, where samples in this study were mothers with babies aged 6-24 months with the sample of 106 respondents. Sampling was done using a simple method ramdom sampling. Computerized data processing system with univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square test with the level of significance is 5%. Result : These results indicate that coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in rural areas is higher than the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in urban areas. Conclusion : There is a significant association betwee, attitudes, number of children, Early Initiation of Breastfeeding, husbands support and the healthworker’s support on exclusive breast-feeding. Abstract

Background: Hypertension is one of the popular intermediate  factor in the incidence of chronical disease (WHO). The highest prevalence of hypertension in the world is in Africa, namely 46% of the total adult population. The prevalence of hypertension in Indonesia 25,8% and the prevalence of hypertension in South Sumatera 26,1%. Seri Tanjung village has the highest number of cases of hypertension in Ogan Ilir District per December 2013, ie 173 cases (LB1). The aim studi is analyze modifiable risk factors on incidence of hypertension. Method: This study was a quantitative research design cross-sectional using analytical survey methods. The study samples were 76 people, which are collected by purposive sampling technique, with the inclusion criteria ≥20 years old and were not taking anti-hypertensive drugs and exclusion criteria of age <20 years old. The analysis were  performed univariate, bivariate analysis using Chi-Square test with the alternatives test, and multivariate using Logistic Regression test. Result: Sodium intake has a significant relationship with the incidence of hypertension in the Seri Tanjung village (p value=0,006; PR=0,202, 95% CI 0,050-0,809). Result of multivariat analysis showed that the variables that have the strongest association with the occurrence of significance of hypertension in the Seri Tanjung village is gender (p value=0,005; PR=21,269) and sodium intake (p value=0,006; PR=0,054). Conclusion: The factors that can be modified in incidence of hypertension in Seri Tanjung village is sodium intake. Suggestion of this research is to promote the socialization  about the importance of cultivating  Kadarzi and applying PUGS in daily life, as well as modifying the sodium intake be within the safe limits. Abstract

Background : Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital serves all the needs of outpatient and inpatient care unit. Control of medicine management at Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital is not really good enough. It can be seen from a gap of medicine supply at certain time. Methods : This research is a descriptive study. The population at this research about 1202 items of general medicine and the sample about 180 items of general medicine. The critical values ​​of general medicine with check list form while the secondary data obtained from data report of the Department  of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital. Results : By using the ABC Critical Index Analysis, the results shows that from 180 items of medicine, 37 items are group A, 96 items of medicine classified as group B, and 47 items of medicine are group C. As for control of inventory of the planning, procurement, storage and distribution to the group A critical index general medicine done at the Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital have not been going well, it can be seen from the inappropriate method of consumption used to calculate the number of medicine needs, the calculation of the number of procurement and the time of procurement is only based on estimation and also  some items of medicine were still stock out  and over stock during the period of January to March 2012. Conclusion : Department of Pharmacy Siti Khadijah Islamic Hospital needs to apply ABC Critical Index method in setting priorities for the planning, procurement and supervision of medicine use to make it more effective and efficient which aims to prevent a stock out  or over stock inventory. Abstract

Background: Toddler and pre-school coverage of Stimulation of Early Detection and Early Growth and Development (SDIDTK) in Keramasan Public Health Centre Kertapati-District in 2 the last year (2013 and 2014) didn’t reach a target for strategic planning of Palembang Health Department. The level of activeness the SDIDTK implementing officers in working area Keramasan Public Health Centre only reached 78%. This study aimed to determine the factors that influence the implementing officers performance in the implementation of SDIDTK in Keramasan Public Health Centre Kertapati-District Method: This study used a cross-sectional. The Samples are implementing officers of SDIDTK, totaling 88 persons selected by simple random sampling. Taking data was done in Keramasan Public Health Centre 2015 using questionnaire. The analysis were performed using chi-square test and multiple logistic regression test. Result: Bivariate analysis results showed knowledge (p=0,000), motivation (p=0,016), infranstructures (p=0,000), funding (p=0,001), and monitoring system (p=0,02) correlated with the performance of SDIDTK implementing officers. Reward (p=0,599) didn’t have correlation with it. Multivariate analysis results showed that the most dominant factor with it was knowledge (Exp(B)=76,262). Conclusion: The performance of the implementing officers in implementation of the SDIDTK didn’t reach a target which targeted by Indonesian Health Ministry 2008 is influenced by knowledge, motivation, infrastructures, funding, and monitoring system. Be expected to goverments, it is Keramasan Public Health Centre and Palembang Health Department as a stakeholders to take measures to improve the performance of the implementing officers in implementation of  SDIDTK.Keywords: performance, the activeness DOI: https://doi.org/10.26553/jikm.2016.7.3.182-190

Abstract

Background: Indonesia ranked 5th in the world for highest number of toddler suffering stunted growth and 7.7 millions toddler are below the red line. In 2014, the incident below red line in Awal Terusan public health center of 2 toddlers. But in 2015, The incidence below red line having an increase significantly of 53 toddler. BGM is a severe malnutrition rate so that when weighed weight is below the red line at KMS. This research aims at examining the determinants occurrence of below red line toddler in health center of Awal Terusan. Method: This type of research is analytic survey research using cross sectional design. The sample was obtained by the formula Lemeshow, with the sampling technique of convenience sampling of the population, namely children under 12 to 24 months and a total sample of 53 toddler. Result: The results showed that the variables that had correlation with the incidence of below red line is an infectious disease (p value=0.024), diet of children (p value=0.000), participation of mother in Posyandu (p value 0,006), mother knowledge (p value = 0,006) and socioeconomic status (p value=0.002). While the variables that are not correlated with the incidence of below red line is excluxive breastfeeding (p value=0,451) and birth spacing (p value=0.177). Abstract

Background : Malnutrition is a condition that happened because of the unfulfilled nutrition needs. Malnutrition could happen because the person has not enough amount of one or more certain nutrition for the body. One of effort which is done by the government for solving the malnutrition case is the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) for 6-24 months old children for poor family. But the case of the malnutrition in the clinic region for the last two years in 2010-2011 is increasing instead. Method : This research is used the analytical method with the cross sectional approach. Sample of the research is 44 respondents which is chosen by incidental sampling technique. Respondents are interviewed by using questionnaire. Data analysis is done by univariate and bivariate  used chi square, fisher exact test, and Wilcoxon. Result : The research result shows that knowledge (pvalue = 0,019) and attitude (pvalue=0,017) of the respondents, monitoring (p value = 0,042) and the support of health staffs (pvalue=0,040) are related significantly with the supplementary feeding, and supplementary feeding (pvalue = 0,0001) is related significantly with nutrition status. There is a difference nutrition status from before and after the supplementary feeding (pvalue = 0,0001), but around 70,5% of children are still having low nutrition status after the supplementary feeding. Conclusion : There is a relationship between knowledge, attitudes, monitoring, and the support of health staffs, there is a correlation between the supplementary feeding with nutrition status. There is a difference nutrition status from before and after the supplementary feeding for 90 days. This research shows that nutrition status in keramasan clinic working region influenced by the supplementary feeding.
