Abstract

ABSTRACTWormy represent one of factor which can degrade human resource quality, considering wormy will persue physical growth and also work productivity. Research which is taken is experimental research as a mean to know energy of antelmintik infusa of pumpkin seed toward worm Ascaridia galli by in vitro and also its active compound content. Substance intake by random and then sampling is made in infusa supply with a few concentration series that is hereinafter tested by its activity as antelmintik to worm Ascaridia galli with immersion method. The data observed is time of worm death and sum up the dead worm every one clock. Statistic analysis which is used is Kruskal-Wallis continued by Mann-Whithney and also Anova and continued by Tukey. Result of research indicate that mean of time of worm death of Ascaridia galli after soaked in infusa of pumpkin seed in concentration 2,5%b/v, 5,0%b/v, 7,5%b/v, 10,0%b/v and successively is 9,46; 8,63; 6,08; and 5,83 clock. While after soaked in piperazin sitrat of concentration 0,4%b/v and NaCl 0,9%b/v mean of time of worm death is 8,96 and 32,37 hours. All series of concentration of infusa of pumpkin seed in this research own difference that has a meaning negative control of Nacl 0,9%b/v, so that infusa of pumpkin seed equal to 7,43%b/v while value of LC50 after soaked in piperzin sitrat 0,73%b/v. Result of KLT inspection indicate that infusa of pumpkin seed contain compound of powered saponin of antelmimtik. Keyword : Infusa of pumpkin seed, antelmintik energy, worm of Ascaridia galli.

Abstract

ABSTRACTDrug management in hospital sonstitutes an important aspect of hospital management. This research was inteded to find out the methods and effectiveness of drug management at Pharmaceutical Installation of Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang. This was non experimental research with a descriptive non analytic design. The samples were taken retrospectively from the exdisting drug supply forms, using a technique of simple random sampling, as well as from the drug prescriptions. The drug prescripsions used as the samples of data were collected by means of document reading and an interview to the head of the Drug Management Departement. The data were then translated into tables, percentages and rupiah values. The evaluations on the drug management during the period of 2007 showed that the percentage of fund availability was 95,53 %, percentage of deviation from the plans was 8,75 %, the frequency of supplying each drug type ranged 1 to 16 times per year, the congruence between the records and the drug supply forms was 100 %, the percentage of broken and expired drugs was 0,32 %, the percentage of drug dead supply was 8,57 %, the percentage of drug unavailability was 2,1 %, the percentage of served drugs was 98,97 %, the percentage of reporting timeliness was 16,67 % and the congruence between drug hospitalization forms and the drug supply forms was 100 %. Abstract

ABSTRACT Pharmacists in community pharmacy have a professional obligation to provide information on exact, safe and rational of drug use to the patient. The purpose of this study is to investigate the consumer’s assessment on the role of community pharmacy as a central of drug information services in all of pharmacy on Kudus regency. The study was performed through direct observation by using a questionnaire on consumers in all of pharmacy in Kudus regency. Respondent selection was determined by a combination of proportional random and accidental sampling. Data analysis performed including a compliance analysis using the Likert scale. Respondent’s answers were categorizing with a normal standard distribution. Cartesian diagram is used to determine the order of priority of the factors that affect consumer satisfaction. The results show that the majority of pharmacy consumers (61.03 %) are satisfies with the drug information services in community pharmacy.  Level of concordance between consumer expectations and satisfaction in accepting drug information at community pharmacy are 90% - 99%.  The consumer knowledge about the safety of medication use and their attitudes on the role of community pharmacists is quite high. Abstract

Celery is an Indonesian herb being used as vegetable and medicinal purposes especially in hypotensive remedy. In order to produce a good quality of celery herb extract granules, a study on the influence of spray rate, level of lactose and Aerosil in fluidized bed granulator (FBG) toward homogeneity, flow rate and water content of granules was done.In the optimization process was programmed by factorial design, the maximum spray rate was 4 L/hours and the minimum was 2 L/hours, the maximum amount lactose was 100% and the minimum was 80% of extract weight, and Aerosil content maximal 20% and minimal 0% of extract weight. The optimum area of optimization result was found from superimposed contour plot granule parameters including homogeneity of apiin content, flow rate and moisture content of granules. The result showed that the Aerosil was proven to be disadvantageous in FBG process. The optimum area of optimization to obtain good granules was achieved by 2.75 L/hour to 2.00 1/hour of spray rate with the amount of lactose at 93.5% to 100% of extract weight with viscosity at 2.8 cP and density at 1.07 g/mL and without Aerosil. The granules possesed homogeneity of apiin with CV 3-5%, 0.85-1.00% of water content and 12.0-13.0 g/sec of flow rate.Key words: Celery (Apium graveolens L.), apiin, factorial design, extract, granules.
