Abstract

ABSTRAK-Penilaian merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam pembelajaran yang turut berkontribusi terhadap pencapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Namun pada prakteknya penilaian sering dilakukan untuk mengukur kognitif semata dan kurang menyentuh aspek afektif dan psikomotor secara menyeluruh. Upaya untuk meningkatkan proses dan hasil belajar biologi telah dilakukan melalui pengembangan penilaian otentik dalam bentuk penilaian proses, kinerja, dan penilaian produk selama tiga tahun terakhir. Data diperoleh melalui koleksi laporan mini riset Ekologi Tumbuhan. Dengan menganalisis secara deskriptif analitik, berdasarkan aspek kemampuan pengamatan, kemampuan wawancara dengan informan local, kemampuan analisis data, serta kekmampuan mendokumentasikan flora, hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa penilaian otentik: 1) dapat mengungkap penguasaan biologi mahasiswa lebih komprehensif meliputi aspek morfologi, anatomi, fisiologi, ekologi, sehingga pemahaman materi ajar biologi lebih baik; 2) dapat mengungkap lebih dari satu ranah kognitif-afektif, kognitif-psikomotor atau afektif-psikomotor; 3)  memberi kesempatan secara luas pada mahasiswa untuk melakukan self-assessment; 4) melatih mahasiswa berpikir lebih kritis memandang suatu penugasan; 5) dapat memberi umpan balik melampaui tujuan pembelajaran yang telah dirumuskan, sehingga memberi efek instruksional dan efek iringan baru yang menginspirasi proses pembelajaran yang lebih kreatif. Walaupun penilaian otentik memberi banyak dampak positif dalam pembelajaran, namun di sisi lain masih terdapat kendala bagi dosen dalam mengimplementasikannya seperti perlunya lembar kerja mini riset yang lebih spesifik, perlunya rubrik penilaian mini  riset berbasis kerja ilmiah, serta perlunya pengubahan etos mengajar. Untuk itu diperlukan proses yang kontinu dalam pengembangan penilaian otentik dengan tindak lanjut dalam pemanfaatan hasil penilaian otentik untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran Ekologi Tumbuhan di Perguruan Tinggi.   Kata Kunci: pembelajaran biologi, Ekologi Tumbuhan, penilaian otentik, perguruan tinggi, ranah kognitif-afektif-psikomotor, mini riset.

Abstract

The aimed of this research was to know level of scientific literacy of Animalia Kingdom on senior high school biology book at grade X in Deliserdang. The method of this research was descriptive quantitative by analyzing 7 the Biology Books from different publisher for grade X on animalia Kingdom topic. Books was assessed by researcher. Researcher assessed Animalia Kingdom on Senior High School biology books at grade X in Deliserdang based of scale questioner Animalia Kingdom on Senior High School biology books grade X with science of the body of knowladge, science as a way of investigating, science as a way of thinking, and interaction science, technology, and society. Result of this research shown that  persentage of thema science as a body of knowledge was 21,86%, persentage of science as a way of investigating was 15,27%, persentage of science as a way of thinking was 11,91%, and persentage of interaction science, technology, and society was 10,36%. It can be concluded that percentage of scientific literacy of Animalia Kingdom on Senior High School biology books at grade X in Deliserdang was 59,42% (not yet scientific literacy).

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of implementing the ICT media in learning inquiry about biotechnology into: Student’s higher order thingking skill; of students in class XII IPA at MAN 3 Medan.The study use quasy eksperimentwith sample as much as 3 class wich certained cluster random samplingof class XII IPA1learning process use learning video media, class XII IPA2learning process use animation media and class XII IPA3with use charta (control). Research instrumentuse higher order thingking skill test of students with use multiple choice and essay test. Analysis techniq using analysis covarians with usingby program SPSS 21.0.Study result and analysis show there are: Effect wich very significant (F=11,272; P=0,000) with using learning video media, animation, and charta of inquiry learning of the biotechnology topic to higher order thingking skill. Higher order thingking skillthat were taught by learning video (75,82±7,847) different significant with animasi (70,74±7,549) (P=0,010) and different significant with charta (65,38±7,162) (P=0,000).The result of this study is expectedfrom the teachersto applymedia of learning video and animation with inquiry of the biotechnology topicin order to increase higher order thingking skill of students in class XII IPA at MAN 3 Medan.

Abstract

The Effect of Inquiry and Cooperative Learning Model On Students Cognitive Skills in  Animalia Topic in SMA Negeri 11  Medan. A Thesis. Medan: Postgraduate Program State University of Medan, 2016.This research aims to determine the effect of the learning model on: (1) Students Cognitive Skills in SMA Negeri 11 Medan. The research applied experimental queasy method research with 3 classes which were choosing by using cluster random sampling technique. The class X7 learn with inquiry learning model, class X8 with cooperative (Group Investigation) learning model, and while class X9 (control) with conventional learning model. The research instrument were the test of cognitive skills in essay test. The data analysis technique used Covariat Analysis at the level of significance α = 0.005 by using SPSS 21.0. The results showed that: (1) there was significant effect of learning model on students’ cognitive skills (F= 15.916; P= 0.000). The cognitive skills learn by inquiry learning model (87.46±5.404) is significant higher than cooperative (Group Investigation) learning model (83.13 ± 6.509), and conventional learning model (79.73±6.329). The study imply that expected to the teachers to be able to conduct inquiry and cooperative (Group Investigation) learning in Animalia topic as the effort to improve the cognitive skills.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning media animation, torso, and the image and initial knowledge of students on student learning outcomes on the material digestion system of human food class XI in Private High School Hang Tuah Belawan. The type of research used is quasi experiment with research pretest-postest control group design. Samples were selected using cluster sampling techniques and divided into experimental and conventional classes. In class XI IPA1 applied animation media, class XI IPA2was applied torso media, and class XI IPA3 applied conventional media. Multiple-choice questions are used to measure learning outcomes, while critical thinking skills are essay-based. Data analysis technique using Covarian Analysis (Anacova) at significant level α= 0,05 and continued with Tukey test with SPSS 21.0 software. The results showed that: (1) There is influence of animation media to student learning outcomes (F= 4,266; P= 0.017). Students who were taught by animation media were significantly different from the students who were taught by the image media, but not significantly different from those taught by torso media; and (2) There is influence of students early knowledge to result of student learning (F= 3,662; P= 0,011). Students with high initial ability who were taught by animation media, torso and gambart did not differ significantly with students who had low initial ability that was taught by torso animation media and images. Students who have high initial ability that dibelajarkan with media animation, torso and images significantly higher than students who have low initial ability that dibelajarkan with animation media, torso and gambar.Hasil research shows that learning using animation media and early knowledge is better in giving influence to learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study was intended to: (1) identify the development of learning media procedure nervous system with Adobe Flash CS3 for XI grade high school student; (2) figure up the student’s responds to learning media development of nervous system with Adobe Flash CS3 for XI grade high school student. This study was classified as Borg & Gall model development that included to 6 steps (1) Information collection; (2) Designing; (3) pre-product development; (4) expert validation; (5) revision; (6) post product testing. The subject of this research was XI grade high school student of SMA N 1 Rantau Selatan LabuhanBatu at 2012/2013 academic year. This study was designed by questionnaire method (Linkert scale) that administered for testing to two media experts, two matter experts, three personals, 9 small groups, and 30 bounded field. The collected data was analyzed by applying descriptive analysis, qualitative analysis and   inferential analysis by employing SPSS version software 19.0 for Windows. The analysis revealed the test by (1) learning media experts (89%); (2) learning biology matter expert (83%); (3) personal (83%); (4) small groups (91%); (5) bounded field (94%). The scores indicate that responses from media experts, matter experts and student to biology learning media development with Adobe Flash CS 3 for nervous system for high school student is very good categorized.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning strategies on the skills of the science process. The research method used quasi experiment with research sample of 3 classes determined randomly with cluster random sampling technique. Class A is taught by Problem Based Learning strategy, class B with Group Investigation and Class C (Control) learning strategy using Conventional learning strategy. The research instrument uses a science skill test in the form of a description of the observation sheet. Data analysis techniques with Covariate Analysis (ANACOVA) at significant level α = 0.05 with the help of SPSS 24. The results showed there is a significant influence of learning strategy on science process skills (F = 9,229; P = 0,000). As a follow-up of the results of this study is expected to teachers to be able to implement Problem Based Learning (PBL) strategy on Ecology material in an effort to improve the skills of science process.

Abstract

This study was conducted by delivering 8-day action research workshop, followed up by mentoring into each group during teacher doing action research focusing on designing action research proposal, wrting their action research report, and wrting report into scientific article,,facilitating teacher to publish their article into journal at  LPM Unimed or journal with  ISSN.This study was conducted at two partner schools:  SD Negeri 101868 Desa Sena Kecamatan Batang Kuis and  SD Negeri 105323 Desa Bakaran Batu Kecamatan Batang Kuis Kabupaten Deli Serdang. The outcome of this  IbM is Primary teachers understand principle and procedure of action research, teachers are able to design and write action research proposal, conduct action research, from planning, action, observation, until  reflection, reporting result of action research and publish them into scientific journal. The output of this IbM is product of action research reports and scientific articles, hopefully they can be published. Key Word: Action Research Workshop, Teaching Learning Innovation

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran animasi, torso, dan gambar dan pengetahuan awal siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi sistem pencernaan makanan manusia kelas XI di SMA Swasta Hang Tuah Belawan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan penelitian pretest-postest control group design. Sampel dipilih menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dan dibagi menjadi kelas eksperimen dan konvensional. Pada kelas XI IPA1 diterapkan media animasi, kelas XI IPA2 diterapkan media torso, dan kelas XI IPA3 diterapkan media konvensional. Soal kemampuan berpikir kritis berbentuk soal essay. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analisis Covarian (Anacova) pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan dilanjutkan dengan uji Tukey dengan bantuan software SPSS 21.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (2) Terdapat pengaruh media animasi terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis  siswa (F= 16,26; P= 0,00). Siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan media animasi secara signifikan berbeda dengan siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan media gambar tetapi  tetapi tidak berbeda signifikan yang dibelajarkan dengan media torso; dan (2) Terdapat pengaruh  pengetahuan awal siswa terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa (F = 24,686; P = 0,000). Siswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal tinggi yang dibelajarkan dengan media animasi, torso dan gambar secara signifikan lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang memiliki kamampuan awal rendah yang dibelajarkan dengan media animasi, torso dan gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran yang menggunakan media animasi dan pengetahuan awal lebih baik dalam memberikan pengaruh terhadap hasil belajar, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis
