Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kamampuan penalaran ilmiah melalui model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam 3 Siklus. Setiap Siklusnya terdiri dari 4 tahapan meliputi; perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri Colomadu tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 38 orang. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, kajian dokumen portofolio siswa, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Validitas data dengan menggunakan teknik triangulasi. Hasil penelitian dapat ditunjukkan terjadi kenaikan dari Pra Siklus hingga Siklus 3 sebesar 37,22% pada kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa. Kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing meningkatkan kemampuan penalaran ilmiah siswa pada materi sistem pernapasan manusia kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri Colomadu Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.Kata kunci: kemampuan penalaran ilmiah, model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing, pernapasan manusia

Abstract

MODUL BIOLOGI BERDASARKAN PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS MASALAH KOOPERATIF (CPBL) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH SISWA DI MADRASAH ALIYAH NEGERIAbstrakModel CPBL (Cooperative Problem-based Learning) memiliki beberapa keunggulan seperti siswa ditantang untuk menyelesaikan masalah yang ada, sehingga semua keterampilan kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotor siswa dapat berkembang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan kelayakan dan efektivitas modul biologi berdasarkan model CPBL untuk meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R&D). Model pengembangan penelitian ini menggunakan Borg dan Gall. Desain penelitian menggunakan metode desain eksperimen sejati dengan desain kelompok kontrol pretest posttest. Dua kelas dipilih oleh sampel acak sederhana. Penelitian ini melibatkan 171 siswa, 85 siswa di kelas kontrol dan 86 siswa di kelas eksperimen. Analisis data deskriptif digunakan untuk menganalisis kelayakan modul dan uji-t digunakan untuk menganalisis keterampilan pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan pengembangan modul memiliki hasil yang baik berdasarkan penilaian para ahli dan praktisi. Berdasarkan hasil uji-t, terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen (0,001), n-gain skor kontrol dan kelas eksperimen masing-masing 0,30 (rendah) dan 0,54 (rata-rata). Berdasarkan penelitian, modul ini lebih efektif daripada buku teks dan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan pemecahan masalah siswa.AbstractCPBL (Cooperative Problem-based Learning) model has several advantages such as students are challenged to solve existing problems, so that all students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor skills can develop. This research aimed to determine feasibility and effectivity of biology module based on CPBL model to enhance students’ problem solving skills.  This type of research is Research and Development (R & D). The development model of this research uses Borg and Gall. The research design uses true experimental design method with pretest posttest control group design. Two classes were selected by simple random sample. The study involved 171 students, 85 students are in control class and 86 students are in experimental class. Descriptive data analysis was used to analyze the module feasibility and t-test was used to analyze the problem solving skills. The results showed that the feasibility of the module development have a good results based on assessment of the experts and practitioners. Based on the t-test results, there are significant difference between control class and experiment class (0.001), n-gain score of control and experiment class respectively 0.30 (low) and 0.54 (average). Based on the research, this module is more effective than the textbook and can improve students’ problem solving skills.

Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research aims to improve student motivation in biology learning with implementation of Picture and Picture in grade students in SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year. This study is a Classroom Action Research with the research design consisting of two cycles and each cycle consisting of 4 stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were grade students of SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year, that are 40 students. The data collection was conducted using questionnaire, observation and interview methods. The data analysis technique employed in this research was qualitative analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion or verification. The result of research showed that The means gain percent of each indicator of the students? motivation questionnaire for pre cycle was 72, 09%,, cycle I was 74,09 %and cycle II was 79,96%. The means gain percent of each indicator of the students? motivation observation for pre cycle was 50,9%, cycle I was 74,06 % and cycle II was 86,87%. According to the result above it means that applying of Picture And Picture  learning method can improve students motivation was 35,97% from result of observation and 10,5 % from result of questionare on class VIII D SMP N 14 Surakarta of 2011/2012 academic year   Keyword: Picture and Picture , students? motivation

Abstract

ABSTRACT ? Purpose of the researched is to improve the ability to rational thinkingh of through application of Guided Inquiry Strategies on all cognitive dimensions of VII F I Class Students SMP 5 Surakarta years 2011/2012. The research is an action research study Classroom what is done in several cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects are VIII-F Class Students SMP 5 Surakarta years 2011/2012. The data obtained by observation of written test. Techniques of data analysis using descriptive analysis technique. Validating data using triangulation research method. The research was motivated by the observation of the observations made on the VII-F class student of SMP 5 Surakarta. The results showed that the average achievement scores of rational thinking ability to process information on aspects on the 1st cycle by 56.15%, 69.73% in 2nd, and 70.68% in 3rd. Aspects of solving problems on 1st cycle by 38.22%, 67.83% in the second, 67.71%in 3rd . Aspects of a decision on the 1st cycle by 56.87%, 63.51% the second and 71% on 3rd.. The increase that occurs in every cycle showed that Guided Inquiry Learning model can improve the ability of rational thinking. Abstract

ABSTRACT ? The purposes of the research is to increase students learning activities through the implementation of inquiring minds want to know learning strategy in students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012.  This research is a  Classroom Action Research    with  2  cycle of action. Each cycle consisting of 4 phases which is planning, action, observation, and reflection. Observational subject is students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta school years 2011  / 2012. Observational data  obtained from the questionnaire, observation, and interview. Technical analysis of data is using descriptive qualitative. Validate data by use of triangulation techic.  Result of the research to prove that with action performing through learning strategy purpose  inquiring minds want to know  can increase students learning activities in students of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. Averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students  learning activities based on questionnaire data for pre cycle was 72,62%, first cycle was 78,07% (worked up 5,45%) and second cycle was 81,36% (worked up 3,29%). Meanwhile on a percentage point each indicator of students  learning activities based on observation data for pre cycle was 71,31% and first cycle was 71,40% (worked up 0,09%). Averagely assesses percentage each indicator of students learning activities  based on observation data for second cycle was 79,01%  (worked up 8,61%). The result of interview with student indicates that implementation of  inquiring minds want to know  learning strategy can increase student curiousity by search in any information source. Base that result gets to be concluded that learning strategy purpose  inquiring minds want to know  can increase students learning activities of X-7 Class SMA Negeri 5 Surakarta School Years 2011/ 2012. Abstract

ABSTRACT - This research  aimed  to know,  (1)  The existence of significant influence?s  Group Investigation  model towards the results study of Biology class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (2) The existence of significant influence?s creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar, (3) The  interaction of significant influence?s between Group Investigation  model and creativity level towards the results study of Biology students in class X SMAN 2 Karanganyar. This research is Quasi Experimental Research. Subject in this research are students class X  SMAN 2 Karanganyar semester I  academic year  2011/2012.  Sample in this research are 2 class there are class X2 as control class and class X4 as experiment class. Technique of  data collection  test, questionnaire and observation sheet. Test is used to measure of cognitif domain and student creativity level, questionnaire is used to measure of afective domain, and observation sheet is used to measure of psikomotoric domain. Technique of data analysis use two ways Varians Analysis (ANAVA) and continuation test use double comparation Scheffe method. Based the result of this research can conclude are, (1) there is significant influence using learning model Group Investigation  towards the results study of Biology, (2) there is significant influence creativity level students towards the results study of Biology, (3) there is no interaction of significant influence?s between Group Investigation   model and creativity level  towards the results study of Biology. The result of continuation test use  Scheffe  method  can conclude are,  (1)  there is significant influence between  column  A1  (using  Group Investigation  model)  and  column  A2 (using Conventional model)  towards the results study of Biology, and (2) there is significant influence between row B1  (high level creativity) and  row B2  (low level creativity)  towards the results study of Biology. Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the significant correlation between profession awareness, previous school belonging and perception toward teaching with acquisition of sudy yield on the student of gruduate-degree equalizing program of PGSM on the department of Mathematics and Natural Science Education. Descriptive analysis characterized by expost facto was used. Data was collected upon 40 student of PGSM. Anareg md Anatysis of Variant with dummy variables were used with the degree of significant if p>0.05. The result showed that thqe is a positive correlation, which is not significant between profession awareness, previous school belonging and the perception toward teaching with acquisition of study yield on the student (R=406; p=0,086, thus p>0,05). Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF A MODULE OF BIOLOGY-BASED GUIDED INKUIRI TO EMPOWER LEARNERS ON THE AFFECTIVE AND PSYCHOMOTOR DOMAINS       AbstractThis study aims to improve students’ affective and psychomotor performance through the development of guided-inquiry based biology modules. The research method used was research and development of Borg & Gall that has been modified. A cluster random sampling was conducted to determine 59 students. Data validation was conducted from experts, education practitioners and peers, and students. On average the score of the validation was in a good category with the value of 86.38, 92.71, and 91,80 respectively. With regards to the affective performance, there was a significant different of the score for both experimental and control group. The experimental group gained 81.75 (good) while the control group 65.76 (sufficient).  On the other hand, the average value for psychomotor performance was relatively higher with 92.53 (very good) for experimental group and 75.91 (good) for control group. The results of data analysis using the SPSS application (version 21) showed that the data in both classes were normally distributed and homogeneous so that they were continued with independent samples t-test. The results of statistical tests of affective domains show Tvalue>Ttabel (15.992> 2.002) and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.005. Psychomotor domain data show Tvalue>Ttabel (18,312> 2,002) and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.00 <0.005. Based on these results it was concluded that the use of the guided inquiry-based biology modules was able to improve students’ affective and psychomotor performances. AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah afektif dan psikomotorik melalui pengembangan modul biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu research and development Borg&Gall yang telah dimodifikasi menjadi 9 tahap. Sampel penelitian diambil secara cluster random sampling sebanyak 59 orang. Hasil validasi pengembangan modul oleh para ahli diperoleh nilai rerata sebesar 86,38 dengan kategori baik, hasil validasi oleh praktisi pendidikan dan teman sejawat diperoleh nilai rerata sebesar 92,71 dengan kategori sangat baik, hasil validasi oleh 16 orang peserta didik diperoleh nilai rerata sebesar 91,80 dengan kategori sangat baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rerata nilai hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah afektif di kelas eksperimen sebesar 81,75 dengan kategori sangat baik dan di kelas kontrol sebesar 65,76 dengan kategori cukup. Rerata nilai hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah psikomotorik di kelas eksperimen sebesar 92,53 dengan kategori sangat baik dan di kelas kontrol sebesar 75,91 dengan kategori baik. Hasil analisis data menggunakan aplikasi SPSS v.21 menunjukkan bahwa data di kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen sehingga dilanjutkan dengan uji independent sampel t-test. Hasil uji statistik data ranah afektif menunjukkan Thitung>TTabel (15,992>2,002) dan Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00<0,005. Data ranah psikomotorik menunjukkan Thitung>Ttabel (18,312>2,002) dan Sig. (2-tailed) 0,00<0,005. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan modul biologi berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik pada ranah afektif dan psikomotorik.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran fisika SMA berorientasi model siklus belajar 5E yang dapat melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui dua tahap, yakni tahap pertama pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dengan mengacu pada pengembangan perangkat model Kemp, dan tahap kedua mengujicobakan perangkat pembelajaran pada 10 siswa SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya kelas XI-IPA. Rancangan dalam ujicoba menggunakan one group pretest posttest design. Temuan hasil penelitian yakni perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori baik, keterbacaan buku ajar siswa menunjukkan bahwa isi dan&nbsp; penampilan berkategori menarik dan mudah dipahami bagi siswa. Keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori sangat baik, aktivitas siswa yang paling dominan adalah keterlibatan siswa secara aktif dalam melakukan percobaan. Hasil belajar siswa setelah pembelajaran berorientasi model siklus belajar 5E berada pada kategori tuntas. Temuan lain menunjukkan bahwa ada peningkatan aspek keterampilan berpikir kritis yang dilatihkan. Respon siswa terhadap materi pelajaran, LKS, buku ajar siswa, suasana belajar, cara guru mengajar adalah positif. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran fisika yang berorientasi model siklus belajar 5E dapat melatihkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan menuntaskan hasil belajar siswa, sehingga layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran. &nbsp; Kata kunci: model siklus belajar 5E, hasil belajar, dan keterampilan berpikir kritis. &nbsp; Abstract. The aim of this research is to develop the physics learning materials for SMA based on 5E learning cycle which can be used to develop the students&rsquo; critical thinking skill. This research was held through 2 steps, the first step was to develop the learning instrument which was based on 5E learning cycle model which refered to the developing of Kemp model. The second step was to try out the learning instrument for 10 students of SMA Negeri 15 Surabaya class XI IPA. In the try out I used one group pretest and posttest design. The result of that research showed that the learning instrument which was developed in catagorized good. The students&rsquo; book showed that the content, appearance catagorized good, and easy to be understood for students. The implementation of the lesson plan was catagorized very good, the dominant activity of the students were their&nbsp; involvement&nbsp; on experiment actively. The learning outcomes &nbsp;after implementing 5E learning cycle model&nbsp; was catagorized mastery. We found that there was an increasing in the aspect of critical thinking skills after being trained. The students&rsquo; response of the learning material, students&rsquo; work sheets, students&rsquo; book,&nbsp; learning situation, and the way how the teacher taught were positive. Based on the result, it can be concluded that physic learning&nbsp; based&nbsp; on 5E learning cycle model can develop students&rsquo; critical thinking skill and master the&nbsp; students&rsquo; learning outcomes, it&rsquo;s suitable to use in a teaching learning process. &nbsp; Key words: 5E learning cycle model, learning outcomes, and critical thinking skill
