Abstract

This research is conducted to apply Fuzzy Logic which is implemented in short term load forecasting. Data that is used for short term load forecasting are historical load data and temperature data. The data is analyzed to learn the load characteristic of Sumbar System which is used as references for making rules in Fuzzy Logic. The Fuzzy Logic model is made using fuzzy logic toolbox that is provided by Matlab. The forecasting result is compared with actual load. It is seen from experiment that the advantage of Fuzzy Logic is its rules that are made from supplied data. Keyword :       Fuzzy Logic, load forecasting, rules.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the improvement of student learning outcomes applying Elektrik Kumanda Teknikleri Simulatoru (EKTS) software on Electromagnetic Control in class XII TITL SMKN 1 Batipuh. The design is quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttets design . The subjects were students of class XII TITL N 1 Batipuh. The data were analyzed using gain score. The result showed that the averages score of pretest is 67.08, and the averages score of posttest is 85. These results indicate that there are an increase in learning outcomes with the averages 0.555 which is categorized as medium improvement.

Abstract

This study aims to see the effectiveness of the use of problem-based learning models in Electric Power Installation subject in class XI TITL of SMK Negeri 2 Sijunjung. This research is Pre-Experimental research using one Group Pretest-Posttest design. The research subjects were all students of class XI TITL of SMK Negeri 2 Sijunjung with 30 people and for trials conducted on class XI TITL 1 of SMK Negeri 5 Padang as many as 30 people. The test items for the pretest and posttest were 30 items each. After being analyzed, 23 questions were declared valid and used in the experiments. The results showed that the average value of the pretest before applying the Problem Based Learning model was 70.77 with the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes by 50% and the average posttest score after applying the Problem Based Learning model was 86.03 with the percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes amounted to 86.67%. The obtained Gain Score is 0.45 in the medium category. Based on these data, it is concluded that the use of Problem based learning (PBL) models can improve student learning outcomes in class XI TITL on Electric Power Installation subjects at SMK Negeri 2 Sijunjung.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan melihat pengaruh penggunaan media E-Learning terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Elektro (PSPTE) Universitas Negeri Padang. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa PSPTE yang sudah pernah belajar menggunakan E-Learning pada semester Juli-Desember 2018 dengan jumlah 69 orang. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik random sampling dengan menggunakan metode slavin, sehingga terdapat 40 responden untuk penelitian dan 29 responden untuk ujii coba instrumen. Instrument pada penelitian menggunakan angket tertutup dengan skala likert. Data dianalisis dengan bantuan SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara penggunaan E-Learning dengan motivasi belajar mahasiswa yaitu dengan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0.625. Nilai ini berarti memiliki hubungan yang tinggi. Selanjutnya dilakukan analisis regresi untuk melihat pengaruh antara penggunaan media pembelajaran E-Learning terhadap motivasi belajar mahasiswa dan di dapatkan koefisien regresi (x) sebesar 0,737. Nilai ini berarti bahwa setiap penambahan 1% nilai penggunaan media E-Learning maka nilai motivasi mahasiswa bertambah 0,737.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to discuss the opinions of teachers after training in online learning based on video tutorials using Moodlecloud held in Payakumbuh. Respondents consisted of 20 teachers who were members of Musyawarah Guru Mata Pelajaran (MGMP) of the Natural Sciences. The questionnaire used was a learning style questionnaire consisting of 24 statements regarding Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic(VAK) learning styles; and a teacher's opinion questionnaire regarding training consisting of 24 statements regarding the training conducted. The results of the study in terms of learning styles show that over 79 percent of teachers have a visual learning style, making it suitable for learning to use video. While in terms of opinions about the training process, it can be concluded that the teacher stated that the training carried out was interesting, practical, fun, had more value, and was not difficult to apply.

Abstract

The study was to test the effectiveness of the Web-Based Interactive Blended Learning Model (BLIBW) for subjects in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Padang State University. The design that the researcher employed was a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest, which was conducted on a group of students consisting of 30 people and the test was conducted for two times. The effectiveness of BLIBW Model was tested by comparing the average pretest scores and the average posttest scores both in the first trial and the second trial. The average prestest and posttest scores in the first trial were 14.13 and 33.80. The increase in the average score was significant at alpha 0.05. Then, the average pretest and posttest scores in the second trial were 18.67 and 47.03. The result was also significant at alpha 0.05. The effectiveness of BLIBW Model in the second trial was higher than in the first test. Those result were not entirely satisfactory and it might be caused several weaknesses in both tests such as: the number of sessions were limited, there was only one subject, and the number of students who were subjected too limited. However, the researcher would like to conclude that the BLIBW Model might be implemented as a replacement alternative for the face-to-face instruction.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to find the improving of student learning outcomes in applying learning media Trainer PLC OMRON and software CX-Programmer on the Electric Motor Installation  Course (PLC) in Class XII TIPTL SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The design was quasi-experiment with one group pretest-posttest time series design. The subject were the student of class XII TIPTL SMK Negeri 1 Bukittinggi. The data were analyzed by using Gain score. In this study, the pretest and posttest were conducted twice, with the averages score of pretest 1 = 38,75, pretest 2 = 45,5, posttest 1 = 64,5 and posttest 2 = 85,8. These result indicate that the learning outcomes increase with the averages Gain score 1 = 0,407 categorized as medium, and Gain score 2 = 0,7625 categorized as high.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran aktif Quiz Team pada mata pelajaran Memahami Dasar Dasar Elektronika Kelas X TITL SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. Desain penelitian ini adalah Pre-eksperimental  dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TITL SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan Gain Score. Dalamm penelitian ini rata-rata pretest  adalah 61,09 dan rata-rata nilai posttest adalah 87,97. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar dengan  rata-rata 0,69 kategori sedang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan job sheet Instalasi Motor Listrik yang layak, praktis dan efektif untuk peserta didik kelas XI TITL di SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat. Tahap penelitian ini mengacu pada metode R&D. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan lembar atau angket validasi, angket praktikalitas, dan lembar unjuk kerja (rubrik). Teknik analisa data dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan job sheet ini dinyatakan valid atau layak digunakan dengan rata-rata hasil rating sebesar 0,87. Respon pendidik terhadap kepraktisan job sheet ialah sebesar 92% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Sedangkan respon peserta didik terhadap kepraktisan job sheet ialah sebesar 93%. Secara keseluruhan untuk rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik setelah praktikum menggunakan job sheet yaitu 88% pada kategori tuntas dan job sheet dinyatakan sudah efektif digunakan pada proses praktikum. Dengan demikian job sheet dinyatakan valid atau layak, praktis dan efektif digunakan pada praktikum Instalasi Motor Listrik kelas XI TITL di SMK Negeri 1 Sumatera Barat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diberi model Guided Discovery Learning dengan siswa yang belajar secara konvensional pada mata pelajaran Dasar Listrik dan Elektronika (DLE). Jenis penelitian ini  adalah penelitian eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas X Teknik Ketenagalistrikan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Negeri 1 Pariaman yang terdaftar pada semester 2 tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas TOI sebagai kelas eksperimen dan TITL1  sebagai kelas kontrol. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data hasil belajar siswa menggunakan soal objektif. Pengujian hipotesis diuji dengan menggunakan uji-t. Berdasarkan analisis data diperoleh rata-rata nilai kelas eksperimen adalah 79,2 dan kelas kontrol 73 dengan simpangan baku 7,62 dan  8,7. Hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar kelas ekperimen dengan kelas kontrol. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil belajar siswa yang diberikan model guided discovery learning lebih tinggi dibandingkan hasil belajar siswa yang tidak diberikan perlakuan.
