Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of learning outcomes by using the type of demonstration and experimental active learning learning methods with those using direct learning methods on Computer and Basic Network subjects in class X Computer Engineering Network semester even SMK Negeri 5 Padang Academic Year 2018/2019. This type of research is quantitative using the experimental research method type quasi experimental design. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 5 Padang on September 24 to October 20, 2018. The population in this study was class X TKJ SMK Negeri 5 Padang. The sampling technique is done using the total sampling technique. The chosen sample in this study is class X TKJ 1-A experimental class and X TKJ 1-B as the control class. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the average student learning outcomes of the experimental class were 85.38 while the control class had an average score of 74.38. The results of the hypothesis calculation at a significant level ? = 0.05 were obtained tcount> t table that is (5.889> 1, 697), because tcount is greater than t table, then the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is received with a percentage of influence 14, 79%.Keywords: Learning outcomes, using active learning methods type of demonstration and experiment and using direct learning method.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to reveal the magnitude of the percentage of the influence of the application of explicit instruction learning method with direct learning model on the subjects of Dynamic Web Programming class X1 Software Engineering semester odd SMK Negeri 1 Sintuk TobohGadang Year Teaching 2016/2017. This type of research is quantitative using experimental type quasi experimental design research method. This research was conducted at SMK Negeri 1 SintukTobohGadang on 17 july until 17 august 2017. Population in this research that is student of class X1 RPL SMK Negeri 1 SintukTobohGadang. Sampling technique used is probability sampling with simple random sampling technique. The selected to be samples in this study are students of class X1 RPL2 experimental class and X1 RPL1 as control class. Based on the result of the research, the average of learning result of the experimental class is 82,48, while the control class get the average value 77,75. The result of hypothesis calculation at significant level ? = 0,05 got tcount>ttable that is (2,278> 1, 677), because big tcount of ttable, null hypothesis (H0) rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) accepted. This means that explicit instruction learning method has a positive effect on the learning outcomes Dynamic Web Programming students of class X1 SMK Negeri 1 SintukTobohGadang. Keywords:Learning outcomes, explicit instruction learning methods, direct learning models

Abstract

Kriminalitas yang tinggi seiring perkembangan teknologi dan zaman sekarang ini menyebabkan sistem keamanan menjadi kebutuhan mutlak untuk diterapkan, guna melindungi aset dan privasi yang dimiliki. Diharapkan dengan penerapan sistem keamanan tersebut, dapat memberi rasa aman dan nyaman, serta menekan angka kriminalitas yang terjadi di masyarakat khususnya tindak kejahatan pencurian. Tindak kejahatan pencurian banyak terjadi di sekitar rumah, seperti pencurian di dalam garasi dengan cara membobol pintu garasi. Disamping keamanan manusia juga menginginkan sistem yang lebih praktis dan mudah dalam penggunaan pintu garasi. Karena sebagian orang malas untuk membuka dan menutup pintu garasi apalagi jika keadaan hujan. Pengoperasian alat ini dapat dimulai dengan pendeteksian tag RFID ke reader RFID sebagai input, sehingga nantinya akan mengaktifkan sebuah motor servo. Sensor Ping berfungsi sebagai pendeteksi jarak mobil untuk membuka dan menutup pintu garasi secara otomatis. Jarak pada sensor ping dapat diatur sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Setelah dilakukannya pengujian tag RFID hanya dapat dibaca oleh reader RFID dari jarak 1 cm ? 3 cm. Pada alat ini menggunakan buzzer sebagai alarm jika kartu RFID salah dan pintu garasi digetarkan.

Abstract

Many innovations that have been implemented by catfish breeders, where catfish are of a distinctive taste and make it a very popular thing in catfish lovers. Many farmers compete to get great seeds and are capable of producing good development and fast. This tool designer creates a tool that can be used by catfish farmer through a prototype in order to read and control the level of turbidity and automatic feeder. The level of turbidity is very important for catfish growth, where the level turbidity can band catfish growth. This tool is supported by supporting devices such as turbine sensors, ultrasonic sensors, RTC DS1307, servo motors and Atmega328 microcontrollers. The Turbinity sensor is used to measure the level of water that is going to go out from the fishpond. Furthermore, this research is also facilitated by an automatic feeder that will run according to the time that has been set by a farmer. When the feeding time is comming the servo motor will open the feed valve for a while based on food requirements time. Beside that the automatic feeder is also facilited by ultrasonic sensors that can be used for monitoring the availability of feeds when the feed in minimum the level will be active the buzzer or beeb.

Abstract

Perlintasan kereta api sering kali mengakibatkan kecelakaan bagi pengendara, Salah satu permasalahan yang mengemuka adalah persoalan pintu perlintasan kereta api. Kecelakaan yang sering terjadi di sekitar pintu perlintasan kereta api di sebabkan kelalaian petugas penjaga pintu atau sikap dari para pengemudi yang tidak disiplin. Oleh karena itu penulis mendapatkan ide untuk membuat suatu sistem yang dapat membuka dan menutup palang pintu perlintasan kereta api dengan otomatis.  Palang pintu kereta merupakan suatu kontruksi yang berfungsi sebagai membuka dan menutup portal palang pintu perkereta apian. Untuk itu telah dibuat Rancang Bangun Miniatur Palang Pintu Perlintasan Kereta Api Otomatis Berbasis Mikrokontroler. Sistem bekerja berdasarkan sensor ultrasonik yang di pasang pada bagian tepi jalur kereta api dan LCD , LED, Motor servo berada di bagain jalan kendaraan, untuk keluaran suara mengunakan Df-Player yang mengirimkan suara ke speaker. Jika sensor ultrasonik 1 untuk mendeteksi kereta api dengan menutup portal maka sensor ultrasonik 2 sebagai menutup portal, motor servo sebagai membuka dan menutup portal pada jalan. dan LCD  berfungsi untuk menampilkan display sebagai pemberitahuan bahwa kereta akan melintas, LCD sebagai indikator di jalan dan  Df-Player berfungsi sebagai pemberitahuan kepada pengguna jalan bahwa adanya kereta api.

Abstract

This research designs and makes low-cost portable devices to monitor risk patients losing their balance such as vertigo patients and cause dizziness, fall or not. This tool can determine the patient condition and send information in SMS notification and telephone calls to the patient's family. This tool uses ATmega 328 (Arduino Uno) and tilt sensor HMC5883L (accelerometer) GY-273 as the patient's body tilt detector and GSM SIM800L module for sending SMS notifications and phone calls for remote information while for short range notifications used LEDs and Buzzers. The position detection of vertigo patients works by reading the slope of the patient's body with a tilt sensor (accelerometer) and if the patient's position is no longer robust or unbalanced, then this condition trigger the GSM SIM800L module activate phone calls. When the patient falls and presses the push button, this condition ask the GSM SIM800L module sending SMS notifications. The results of testing performed on the device in detecting falls as much as 30 times, obtained the value of the sensitivity of dizziness activity by 87% and the value of sensitivity on activity fell by 90%. The system requires an average of 8 seconds after the activity falls to send SMS notifications to users of telephone numbers, and also requires an average of 5 to 6 seconds after dizziness to make phone calls to users of telephone numbers. It is expected that the making of this tool can ease monitoring in vertigo patients while on the move

Abstract

This research is an information technology innovation for long distance monitoring system in realtime through WEB which applied to car parking system. This intelligent parking system is designed to solve the problems of parking car in Politeknik Negeri Padang. In this system, the driver gets information trough the web about the empty and the filled area in the parking. This system is an automated system using infrared and photodiode as sensor to identify the existences of the car in parking area and controlled by microcontroller. WEB to monitoring and inform the condition of slot parking area to the car  driver using smartphone and can be accessed from everywhere at the web address ee.polinpdg.ac.id/parkir. Computer server is a WEB server and database server to save the program and monitoring data result.

Abstract

This study is a descriptive study of the application towards multimedia that conducted in higher institution, West Sumatera with the objectives of assessing the factors affecting multimedia application in higher institution lecturers. It employed a survey questionnaire to collect respondents? responses by using Likert-5 point type scales. It was conducted on 250 lecturers by using stratified random sampling from three types of higher institutions. Data collected and analyzed by using Statistical for the Social Sciences 19.0 (SPSS 19.0). Descriptive analysis shows that factors affecting multimedia application are limited amount of equipments, less support from the institution, no confidence in using multimedia for teaching, damaged equipments, insufficient time to prepare multimedia-based teaching materials, not enough salaries to assist in carrying out their duties properly, increased teaching workloads, ineffective multimedia training and no rewards or incentives from the institution for using multimedia in teaching.  As conclusion, this study can be used by the relevant authorities to take action in improving education.

Abstract

This researchwas conducted to find out how much motivation contribution entered the world of work and industrial work practice experience (PRAKERIN) on the results of the Expertise Competency Test (UKK) from Electronics Engineering Students in 2019 at SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra. The population of this research is as many as 58 students of class XII majoring in electronics engineering (audio video engineering expertise program and mechatronic engineering program) SMK Negeri 1 West Sumatra 2018/2019 academic year. Sampling in this research was carried out by simple random sampling technique, so as to get as many as 37 students as the sample. The questionnaire shared and filled out by these students is a method used by the writer to collect data. Multiple regression analysis is the main analysis technique used in this research. From this research, it was found that (1) Motivation to enter the workforce and industry work experience experience together contributed 30.14% to the results of the expertise competency test, (2) Motivation to enter the workforce contributed 15.05% to expertise competency test results, (3) Industrial work practice experience contributes 14.67% to the results of expertise competency test. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMK Negeri1 Ranah Pesisir  mata pelajaran Dasar Desain Grafis, Sebanyak 55,55% siswa mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM 75. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap seberapa besar kontribusi motivasi berwirausaha dan disiplin belajar terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif korelasional menggunakan teknik simple random sampling. Metode penelitian Menggunakan dokumentasi dan angket/kuesioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa : (1) Motivasi berwirausaha berkontribusi secara sigifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Ranah Pesisir sebesar 14,82%, (2) Disiplin belajar berkontribusi  secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMKN 1 Ranah Pesisir sebesar 14,59% (3) Motivasi berwirausaha dan disiplin belajar bersama-sama berkontrbusi secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X SMKN1 Ranah Pesisir sebesar 40,7%. Dapat disimpulkan Motivasi berwirausaha dan disiplin belajar berkontribusi secara signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X di SMKN 1 Ranah Pesisir.Kata kunci :Motivasi Berwirausaha,Disiplin Belajar, Hasil Belajar This the Aim is due to the low learning outcomes of Grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Coastal Domains in Basic Graphic Design, As many as 55.55% of students scored below KKM 75. This the Aim aims to uncover the major problems faced by entrepreneurial workers and learning to learn about results the Aim. This type of correlational descriptive the Aim uses simple random sampling technique. The research method uses documentation and questionnaire / questionnaire. The results showed (1) Entrepreneurial motivation contributed significantly to the learning outcomes of Grade X students of SMKN 1 Coastal Area by 14.82%, (2) Learning discipline contributed significantly to the learning outcomes of Grade X students of SMK 1 Coastal Area by 14.59% (3) Entrepreneurial motivation and discipline of learning together contribute significantly to the learning outcomes of Grade X students of SMK 1 Coastal Area by 40.7%. It can be concluded that entrepreneurship motivation and learning discipline contribute significantly to the learning outcomes of Grade X students at SMK 1 Coastal Areas.Keywords: Entrepreneur Motivation, Learning Discipline, Learning Outcomes
