Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of a healthy breakfast campaign on the changes in knowledge, attitudes, and breakfast habits among elementary school children in Bogor District. A quasy experimental study was applied to this study. Subjects in this study were 229 elementary school children in the nine villages in Bogor District. Nutrition education media used in this study were power point, puppets, picture cards, and drama. The school childrens knowledge and attitude showed that there was a significant difference between media intervention of power point, puppet, and drama to picture cards. The highest scores of knowledge (73.23±1.14) and attitude (91.84±1.09) was in picture cards. The percentage of subjects having a habit of breakfast before intervention was 78.2% and increased to 81.7% after intervention. Media intervention by picture cards gave highest change to increased breakfast knowledge, attitude, and habits for elementary school children.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to analyze the differences of applying educational media to change mother?s knowledge and attitude on the breakfast of the elementary school children in Bogor District. The study was a quasy experimental study. Subjects in this research were 225 mothers of elementary school children in the nine villages in Bogor District. Nutrition education media used for this study were power point slides, flip charts, and combination of the power point slides and leaflets. Score of knowledge and attitude on breakfast increased significantly after the intervention. ANOVA analysis results on knowledge and attitude on the breakfast showed better improvement for the combination of power point slides and leaflets. The proportion of knowledge and attitude of the mothers increased after the intervention. The combination of the power point slides and leaflets was the type of educational media which could increase the rate of mother?s knowledge and attitude score compared to power point slides and flip chart.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to analyze effect of multivitamin mineral supplementation to hemoglobin and hematocrit concentration of Bogor Agricultural University First Common Year female students. Design of this study was the quasi experimental, double blind, with number of subjects were 28 female students devided into two group. The intervention group consisted of 15 subjects, received supplement syrup 15 ml per day for eight weeks.The control group consisted of 13 subjects received placebo syrup. Data collected by interviewing subjects used questionnaire, physical examination, and blood biomarkers. The results of statistical test (paired sample t-test) showed that there were no significant increase in hemoglobin and hematocrit concentration respectively in both intervention and control groups (p>0.05). However, on a subset of subjects anemia, the hemoglobin and hematocrit in the intervention group tended to increase larger than the control group.

Abstract

Influence analysis of behavior family nutrition awareness to stunting in West Kalimantan Provence. The present study aims to analyze of influence behavior family nutrition awareness to stunting in west Kalimantan Province. The study uses Health Research Data Base of west Kalimantan province in Year 2007 with the design of cross-sectional study. The total of 1992 household samples were recruited in the study with criteria having child aged 6 to 59 months. Height for age indicators were used to measure child nutritional status. The results showed that Logistic multiple regression analysis showed that failure to follow the the family Nutrition Awareness had 1.21 risk for children to become stunting than children to follow to guindeline properly.Penelitian bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh perilaku keluarga sadar gizi terhadap stunting pada anak balita di Propinsi Kalimantan Barat. Data yang digunakan adalah data sekunder hasil RISKESDAS Propinsi Kalimantan Barat 2007, dengan desain Cross Sectional Studi melalui metode observasional. Total rumah tangga yang menjadi sampel adalah 1992 rumah tangga, dengan criteria mempunyai balita berumur 6?59 bulan. Tinggi badan per umur adalah indikator status gizi yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian dengan uji regresi logistik berganda menunjukkan bahwa rumah tangga dengan perilaku kesadaran gizi (KADARZI) yang kurang baik berpeluang untuk meningkatkan risiko kejadian stunting pada anak balita 1.22 kali lebih besar daripada rumah tangga dengan perilaku kesadaran gizi (KADARZI) yang baik.

Abstract

The present study aims to analyze of influence maternal education to under five years-old children in West Kalimantan Province. The study uses Health Research Data Base of West Kalimantan Province in year 2007 with the design of cross-sectional study. The total of 1992 household samples were recruited in the study with criteria having child aged 6 to 59 months. Weight for height, weight for age, and height for age indicators were used to measure child nutritional status. The results showed that Logistic multiple regression analysis showed that maternal education under level of junior high school had 1.28 risk for children to become stunting and 1.27 risk for children to become underweight than maternal education level of above junior high school.

Abstract

The present study aims to analyze of relationship of the implementation of balanced nutrition messages family and behavior family nutrition awareness with under five years child nutritional status in West Kalimantan Province. The study uses Health Research Data Base of West Kalimantan Province in year 2007 with the design of cross-sectional study. The total of 1992 household samples were recruited in the study with criteria having child aged 6 to 59 months. Weight for height, weight for age and height for age indicators were used to measure child nutritional status. The results showed that three messages did not meet criteria as required by the Indonesian Food Guideines. Three messages did not meet criteria as required by the Indonesian Food Guidelines. They were eat food withr energy needs requaired, eat half of food sources of carbohydrate for energy needs and eating one of  fourth of food sources of fat for energy needs. Logistic multiple regression analysis showed that failure to follow the the Family Nutrition Awareness had 1.21 risk for children to became stunting than family to follow to guideline properly.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan anak merupakan salah satu indikator status gizi dan kesehatan dalam populasi untuk mencerminkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Stunting yaitu pertumbuhan linier yang terhambat dan merupakan hasil dari ketidakcukupan gizi dalam jangka waktu lama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor risiko stuntingpada anak usia 6-24 bulan di Kota Bogor. Penelitian ini merupakan desaincrossectional dengan subjek 360 anak usia 6-24 bulan di Kota Bogor. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner yang terdiri dari keadaan sosial ekonomi orang tua, yaitu pendidikan, pekerjaan, dan pendapatan. Berat badan dan panjang badan lahir berdasarkan data yang diambil dari KMS dan buku KIA. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji chi square dan uji regresi logistik berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa stunting anak usia 6-24 bulan sebesar 18,60%, faktor risiko stunting, yaitu berat badan lahir rendah <2500 gram (p=0,000; OR=4,192;95% CI=1,900-9,247) dan pendidikan ayah rendah, yaitu ?SMA (p=0,035; OR=1,807; 95%CI=1,042-3,133). Hal inimenunjukkan bahwa berat badan lahir rendah dan pendidikan ayah yang rendah merupakan faktor risiko yang berpengaruh terhadap stunting pada anak usia 6-24 bulan di Kota Bogor.

Abstract

Pemerintah Indonesia telah menyusun kebijakan nasional yang membatasi promosi susu formula bayi di kalangan tenaga kesehatan, yang merupakan adopsi dari International Code of Marketing of Breastmilk Subtitues. Walaupun telah dikeluarkan kebijakan-kebijakan tersebut, tetapi masih dijumpai berbagai pelanggaran di kalangan tenaga kesehatan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tindakan bidan terhadap kebijakan menyusui. Desain penelitian ini adalah cross sectional study. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Januari-April 2015 di Kota Bogor. Pada penelitian ini terdiri dari 39 bidan dan 76 ibu bayi. Pengetahuan bidan terhadap isi kebijakan tergolong rendah sedangkan sikap dan tindakan bidan tergolong baik. Variabel-variabel yang menunjukkan hubungan yang signifikan dengan tindakan bidan adalah lama pengalaman praktik, tempat kerja, tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap. Usia dan pendidikan bidan merupakan variabel yang tidak berhubungan signifikan dengan tindakan bidan. Lama pengalaman praktik, tempat kerja, tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap merupakan faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan tindakan bidan terhap pesan-pesan dalam kebijakan.

Abstract

Pemenuhan kebutuhan gizi anak penting dilakukan untuk mendukung proses pertumbuhan dan perkembangan. Pola makan anak usia sekolah yang cenderung lebih memilih jajan di sekolah dibandingkan makan di rumah akan mempengaruhi status gizi anak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pemilihan jajanan, hubungan pemilihan jajanan dengan frekuensi jajan serta hubungan kontribusi jajan dengan status gizi anak sekolah. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian cross-sectional yang didanai oleh Neysvan Hoogstraten Foundation, the Netherlands dan dilakukan di tiga SD yaitu SDN Kedokan, SD Pajajaran dan SDN Cibogo Kecamatan Cisauk, Kabupaten Tangerang dengan total subjek penelitian berjumlah 109 siswa. Analisis faktor dan uji hubungan Rank Spearman digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Terdapat lima faktor utama yang menjadi determinan pemilihan jajanan yaitu faktor familiaritas, karakteristik jajanan, lingkungan dan sosial, kandungan gizi dan variasi serta kesehatan. Faktor kesehatan dan karakteristik jajanan memiliki hubungan yang signifikan dengan frekuensi jajan (p<0.05). Kontribusi energi, protein, lemak dan karbohidrat memiliki hubungan yang nyata dengan status gizi anak (p<0.05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilihan jajanan berperan penting pada kebiasaan jajan anak dan kontribusi gizi jajanan berdampak pada status gizi anak, sehingga ketersediaan jajanan di sekolah perlu mempertimbangkan determinan pemilihan jajanan anak serta kontribusi gizi jajanan.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aimed of this study were to analyze mother?s nutritional behavior, parenting eating pattern, snack contribution and their correlations toward preschool children?s nutritional status. The design of this study was a cross-sectional in Labschool IPB-ISFA, involved 20 subjects of preschool children. The result of this study showed that 45% of mothers had moderate nutritional knowledge. Most of mother?s nutritional attitude and practice were categorized as good (35%) and poor (35%). Snack had the highest contribution to protein adequacy (58.6%). The contribution of snack to energy, fat, carbohydrate, and natrium adequacy were 41.8%, 44.2%, 45.5%, and 53.6% respectively. Most of subjects had normal nutritional status (80%). Mother?s nutritional knowledge and mother?s nutritional attitude was having significant correlation (p&lt;0.05). Mother?s nutritional practices had significant correlation with eating parenting pattern. There were a significant correlations between carbohydrate and protein from snack with nutritional status (p&lt;0.05), whereas energy and fat from snack had no correlation with nutritional status (p&gt;0.05).Keywords: nutritional behavior, parenting pattern, snackABSTRAKTujuan umum penelitian adalah menganalisis perilaku gizi ibu, pola asuh makan, dan kontribusi snack serta hubungannya dengan status gizi anak usia prasekolah. Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional study dengan 20 subjek anak usia prasekolah di Labschool Pendidikan Karakter IPB-ISFA. Sebagian besar pengetahuan gizi ibu masuk kategori sedang (45,0%). Sikap dan praktik gizi ibu subjek paling banyak termasuk dalam kategori baik (35,0%) dan kurang (35,0%). Kontribusi energi dari snack terhadap tingkat kecukupan adalah 41,8%, lemak 44,2%, karbohidrat 45,5%, dan natrium sebesar 53,6%. Kontribusi konsumsi snack terhadap kecukupan protein paling besar yaitu sebesar 58,6%. Sebanyak 80,0% subjek memiliki status gizi normal. Perilaku gizi ibu yang mempunyai hubungan signifikan adalah pengetahuan dengan sikap gizi ibu (p&lt;0,05). Perilaku gizi ibu yang mempunyai hubungan signifikan dengan pola asuh makan adalah praktik gizi (p&lt;0,05). Hubungan signifikan antara protein dan karbohidrat dari snack dengan status gizi (p&lt;0,05), sedangkan energi dan lemak dari snack tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dengan status gizi subjek (p&gt;0,05).Kata kunci: perilaku gizi, pola asuh makan, snack
