Abstract

Rapid developments in information technology and communication today is based on the development of mathematics in the field of number theory, algebra, analysis, theory of chances and discrete mathematics. To master the technology and creating future required a strong mastery of mathematics from an early age. Standard mathematical competence and basic competence in elementary school (SD), Junior Secondary School (SMP) and High School (SMA) have been prepared with the intention to develop the ability to use mathematics in solving problems and communicating the idea or the idea of using symbols, tables, diagrams , and other media. At the elementary school where children are in the concrete operational stage and how to effectively communicate the idea of mathematical ideas is to use instructional media. This paper will try to review the instructional media as one means of communication of mathematics learning in elementary school (SD).Kata kunci: komunikasi, media pembelajaran

Abstract

This paper study about the interest and the low mathematics learning outcomes of eighth grade students of SMP N 46 Sijunjung in the school year 2017/2018. The aimsof this research are to know:1) the interest of student learning taught by the STAD cooperative learning model, 2) Mathematics learning outcomes from students that taught with the STAD type cooperative model in class VIII SMP N 46 Sijunjung 2017/2018 school year. This research is an experimental research and uses quantitative research methods. The subjects of this study were all eighth grade students of SMP N 46 Sijunjung. The sample taken by purposive sampling technique. The results showed that 1) the interest in mathematics learning of students taught with STAD was categorized as good with a percentage of 84.50% and 2) the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught with the STAD type cooperative model were higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught with conventional learning models. It can be seen from the acquisition of the average value of the experimental class test 81.50 and the average value of the control class test 72.25. The percentage of student learning completeness in the experimental class was 70%, while in the control class 40%. After testing the hypothesis using the t-test, obtained t count> t table (2.68> 1.68) with αi = i0.05 at the 95% confidence interval, then the decision is H0 rejected and H1 accepted.

Abstract

This Research was conducted to measure the performance quality of the educational laboratories at the faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training in State Islamic University or UIN Imam Bonjol Padang, especially in the performance of the field Practice for Teacher Training laboratory (PPL), Computer and Islamic Education Practice Laboratory (PPAI) by using balanced score card method. In term of the method, four perspectives were used such as: financial perspective, customers (the users) perspective, internal business perspective, and growth and learning process. The foci of this study included: PPL, computer, and PPAI. The subjects of this research were 3 heads of the labors, 6 laboratory staff, 3 financial staff, and 90 students who were studying in semester VII at faculty of Islamic Education and Teacher Training in UIN IB Padang at academic year 2016/2017. Questionnaire, interview guide, and observation sheet were used as the instruments that have been tested their reliability and validity. Data analysis was employed by measuring the customer perspective questionnaires, internal business process perspective, and learning growth perspective. The finding of the study ­­showed that the performance of labor the PPL laboratory is 3.27 (65.35%) with good category. The Performance of computer laboratory is 3.05 (61%) with good category. The Performance of the PPAI laboratory was 2.76 (55.2%) with less good category. Overall, all three laboratory have 3.03 (60.6%) performance measurement result   with good category.

Abstract

The Aim of this research were to figure out the learning concept comprehension of students at class X at MAN Salidoin the academic year of 2016/2017 through Cooperative Studying Model Lottery Card Type (Arisan's Card). This was a quasi experimental research with Randomized Control Group OnlyDesign.The population of this research was of students at class X at MAN Salidoin the academic year of 2016/2017. Then, found that students as the experimental class and the control class. To get the class sample test done first then normality, its homogeneity and similarity in average for all classes of the population. After all the class known to normal, homogenous and have the same average then conducted the election of class sample randomly. Before testing the hypotheses, firstly applied the normality test and homogenety test to the sample. Then, tested the hypotheses by applying t-test formula. He got that test t (1,838) > tabel t (1,645) with 0,05 degree of freedom and with 95 % level of credence. Then he concluded that null hypothesis (H0) and the alternative hypothesis (H1) is accepted. So, the ability of the students in understanding Math Concept is higher through the Cooperative Studying Model Lottery Card Type (Arisan's Card) than the students taught through conventional learning.Keywords: Understanding on mathematic concept’s ability, learning model of cooperative (Lottery card).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is 1) To know the motivation to learn mathematics of taught by using cooperative learning model type Pair Check with reward higher than student motivation taught by convensional learning,and 2) To know the mathematical reasoning ability which was taught by using cooperative learning model type Pair Check with reward on material function is higher than students mathematical reasoning ability taught by convensional learning. This type of research is Quasi Experimental Research with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this study is all eighth grade student of SMPN 19 Padang. In obtaining the sample class it is need to be done normality, homogeneity and equality of classroom average tests the class selected as the experimental class is VIII.5 class and the control class is VIII.3. The result of the research shows that 1) learning motivation of students which was taught by using cooperative learning Pair Check model with Reward is higher than student’s motivation taught by convensional learning. Hypothesis test that is t-score (7.034) > t-table (1.67), 2) students' mathematical reasoning ability after being taught by cooperative model type Pair Check with reward is higher than the students' mathematical reasoning abilities taught by conventional learning models. Seen from the average score of the experimental class test score of 80.16 and the average of the control class test score of 74.13. After hypothesis testing using t-test, obtained tscore > t-table (1.867 > 1.67) at 95%. So it can be student mathematical reasoning ability of class VIII SMPN 19 Padang which is taught by cooperative learning model type Pair Check with reward is higher than taught by using conventional learning.Keywords: Mathematic Reasoning Ability And Student Motivation, Model Cooperative Type Pair Check, Reward Fungsi, And Mathematic

Abstract

The purpose of this research are: 1) to know the learning activity of learners mathematics which is taught by Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS), and 2) model to know the ability of problem solving of mathematics learners who taught by SSCS learning model in the class XI MIA MAN 1 Muara Labuh academic year 2016/2017. This research belongs to a kind of quasi-experimental research with randomized control group only design. In this study design, a group of subjects taken from a particular population were randomly assigned into two groups, the experimental group and the control group. After analyzing the data, it is known that the learning activity of the students after applying the SSCS learning model has improved towards the better from the first meeting to the fifth meeting, ie 35%, 45%, 55%, 68%, 77%. Based on the hypothesis test obtained ttable = 1.645 and tcount = 2.598 so obtained (2.598> 1.645) at 95% confidence interval. Because tcount > ttable then hypothesis in this research accepted. Thus, students 'math-problem-solving skills taught by SSCS learning models are higher than the students' uneducated mathematical problem-solving skills with SSCS learning modelsKeywords: Problem solving abilities, search, solve, sreate and share (SSCS) learning models

Abstract

The aim of this study is  to determine the ability of mathematical concepts and self regulated learning of students when teach by inquiry learning models  in class VII SMPN 1 Lembah Gumanti, Solok Regency. The type of this research is Quasy Experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design research design. Data analysis for the ability to understand mathematical concepts is done by t test, the results obtained are t_calculate (1.85)> ttable (1.68) at an interval of 95% confidence. Because t_count> t_table, H_0 is rejected and H_1 is accepted. Continued data analysis for self regulated learning questionnaire done by non-parametric test obtained H_a (0.214)> H_0 (0.05) then H_0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that the ability to understand mathematical concepts and the learning independence of students taught with inquiry learning models is higher than the learning independence of students taught with conventional learning models.
