Abstract

This article discusses how the Minangkabau ethnic women undergoing a transformation that relates the image of women seen from the traditional conception of the ideal and changes in today’s reality. Abstract

The article describes the forms of labels provided by the public in the city of Padang as part of Minangkabau culture, particularly aimed at women who pass social deviation in behavior related to the community.
