Abstract

AbstrakKondisi produktivitas nilam di Indonesia saat ini masih rendah, hal ini diduga disebabkan oleh rendahnya penggunaan benih unggul serta kendala ketersediaan benih yang tepat waktu, jumlah bibit yang seragam dan bebas penyakit, serta masih rendahnya mutu genetik tanaman. Sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya perbanyakan maupun peningkatan mutu genetik dengan aplikasi teknologiin vitro. Percobaan I: Pertumbuhan eksplan nilam pada komposisi sitokinin yang berbeda secara in Vitro (Rancangan Acak Lengkap pola faktorial), faktor pertama (jenis ekplan : mata tunas, pucuk, dan daun), sedangkan faktor kedua (0 mg/l sitokinin; 0,5 mg/l BAP; 1,0 mg/l BAP; 0,5 mg/l Zeatin; dan 1,0 mg/l Zeatin). Percobaan II: Multiplikasi stek mikro nilam secara in vitro (Rancangan Acak Lengkap). Percobaan III: Respon stekmikro terhadap inokulasi Azotobacter sp. pada tahap aklimatisasi (Rancangan Acak Kelompok) terdiri dari lima perlakuan (tanpa inokulasi, 1 ml, 2 ml dan 3 ml Azotobacter sp.). Hasil Percobaan I menunjukkan tidak terdapat interaksi antara jenis eksplan dengan jenis dan konsentrasi sitokinin. Penggunaan eksplan pucuk menghasilkan rata-rata jumlah tunas, pertambahan jumlah daun serta rata-rata bobot segar eksplan lebih baik serta penambahan 0,5 mg/l BAP pertambahan jumlah daun dan rata-rata bobot segar eksplan nilam lebih baik pada 8 MST. Percobaan II menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan 0,01 mg/l NAA dan 1 mg/l BAP merupakan perlakuan yang terbaik untuk multiplikasi tunas nilam pada peubah jumlah tunas dan jumlah daun. Percobaan III menunjukkan inokulasi Azotobacter sp. dengan dosis 3 ml memberikan rata-rata pertambahan jumlah daun, jumlah akar dan panjang tanaman relatif lebih baik.Kata kunci : Aklimatisasi, Azotobacter, Cytokinin, Eksplan, Nilam, Regenerasi

Abstract

Abstract : The aim of this study is to find out the ability of the second year students of SMKN 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending procedure texts. The population of this research is all of the second year students which consisted of 301 students. There were 40 students who participated in this study as sample. The instrument was a test adapted from authentic material. The frame of the test was covered by 5 components such as, finding main idea, finding factual information, finding meaning of difficult word, finding references, and finding generic structure. Each component consisted of 6 questions. The test contained 30 items. Before the test was administered, the test was tried out to find out the difficulty level and the reliability of the test. To analyze the data, the raw score of the students was calculated and the level of ability was identified by using the classification of ability level by Harris (1974). The result showed that the ability of the second year students of SMKN 2 Pekanbaru in comprehending procedure texts was at Mediocre level with mean score 51.8. Therefore, it can be concluded that most of the students were able to comprehend procedure texts. To reach this, the students were suggested to do more practice in reading procedure texts in order to comprehend and to improve the ability in reading due to the poorness of their reading ability.Key Words : Reading Ability, Reading Comprehension, Procedure Text

Abstract

Abstract: Nowadays, e-mail is one of general ways to communicate or to send messages between students and lecturer in academic purposes. This study aims to find out the ability of the English Department students of FKIP Universitas Riau in writing an e-mail to the lecturer. This study used the second semester students in academic year 2018/2019 as the population. Simple random sampling used to take the sample. The sample of this study was 37 students. Writing test used for the instrument. Data collected by received 37 e-mails written by the students. The data included descriptive quantitative method. From the data analysis, it was found that the ability of second semester students of the English Department FKIP Universitas Riau was in good level. The score of each aspects of e-mail writing was be analyzed of this study. The high score are content/idea and vocabulary. The low score are subject line, mechanics and grammar. Therefore, the students are expected to study and practice more how to write an e-mail to the lecturer with concerning some e-mail format, subject line, format and structure, mechanics, content/idea, grammar and vocabulary.Key Words: Ability, Writing, E-Mail.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to find out the effect of using Jigsaw method on the ability of the first year students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru in comprehending narrative texts. This is a pre-experimental research conducted by using a pre-test ? treatment ? post-test design.. The population of this study was the first year students of SMA PGRI Pekanbaru which consisted of 3 classes with the total of 115 students. The sample of this study was X.2 of social science class with 40 students.The writer, during treat the students, found that students? motivation to read the text increase. Besides, students got more confidences to split out their opinion while discussion and present the result in front of the class. After treatment was held, the writer distributed the tests. The instrument of the research was a reading test with multiple choice type. The result showed a strong correlation between Jigsaw method and students? reading comprehension. The results of data analysis showed that the mean score of pre-test was 64.03, and the mean score of post-test was 82.00. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the pre-test and the post-test because the t-test observed was higher than t-table. In other words, the alternative hypothesis of this research was accepted. It means that Jigsaw method can be used as an alternative strategy in the teaching of reading.Keywords: Jigsaw, Reading Comprehension, Narrative Text

Abstract

Abstract: this descriptive research was conducted in order to find out the taboo words in the hitman?s bodyguard movie. The data were collected using the sociolinguistic approach. The data were in the form of utterances, while the contexts of the data were the dialogues uttered by the characters in the movie. The sources of the data were the video of Hitman?s Bodyguard movie and its transcript. The data were collected by selecting dialogues containing taboo words after watching the video and matching the transcript with the video carefully. The primary instrument of this research was a data sheet. The results of this research are stated as follows. Firstly, all of the types and the function of taboo words are appear in this movie. The types are obscenity,profanity, vulgarity, ephitet and for the functions are to draw attention to oneself, to be provocative, to show contempt, and to mock authority. From four of the types that appear in the movie, obscenity become the type with the highest frequency (46.29%) 25 times, the second is vulgarity with (20.37%) 11 times, the third is ephitet with (18.51%) 10 times, and the last one is profanity with (14.81%) 8 times. From four of the functions that appear in the movie to be provocativet become the function with the highest frequency (50%) 27 times, the second is to show contempt with (27.77%), the third is to draw attention to oneself with (20.37%), and the last one is to mock authority which is onle appear once in the movie (1.85%).Key Words: Sociolinguistics, Taboo Words, Hitman?s Bodyguard Movie

Abstract

Penelitian   ini   adalah   penelitian tindakan kelas. Tujuan jangka panjang yang diharapkan dari penelitian ini adalah melalui model pembelajaran imajinatif akan mampu meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik dan kreativitas  siswa.  Target      khusus      penelitian    ini  adalah  (1)  seberapa jauh kemampuan mengarang siswa dengan diterapkannya model pembelajaran imajinatif   (2) bagaimana pengaruh metode pembelajaran imajinatif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa SDN Kota Palopo. Adapun tehnik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tekhnik pengamatan/ Observasi, wawancara dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis diskriptif komparatif dengan membandingkan nilai tes antara siklus dan indikator kinerja. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara mengidentifikasi perkembangan dan perubahan subjek setelah subjek diberikan diberlakukan khusus atau dikondisikan pada situasi tertentu, dengan pembelajaran tindakan dalam kurun waktu tertentu dan berulangulang sampai program dinyatakan berhasil. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan (action research) sebanyak tiga putaran. Setiap putaran terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: rancangan, kegiatan dan pengamatan, refleksi, dan refisi. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah siswa SDN Kota Palopo. Tahap pengumpulan data yaitu pemberian tes hasil belajar dan angket respons siswa. Data yang telah dikumpulkan   dianalisis secara   kualitatif,   kuantitatif,   analisis statistika deskriptif, dan analisis statistika inferensial.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to determine the relationship between I) standard process knowledge with pedagogic competence, 2) work motivation with pedagogic competence, 3) teachers innovation in learning with pedagogic knowledge 4) standard process knowledge, work motivation and teachers inovation in learning with teachers pedagogic competence in elementary school in the district of eastern Tanjung Karang Bandar Lampung study year 2011/2012. Research methods used correlational research. The population is all elementary school teachers in the District of Eastern Tanjung Karang Bandar Lampung. Sample as many as 54 people were assigned proportional random sampling. Instrument used to collect data is data analysis technique simple correlation.The results of the analysis of the study are : (1) there is a close, positive and significant relationship between the standard process knowledge with pedagogical competence of 0.576, (2) there is a relationship between motivation to work with pedagogical competencies of 0.607, (3) there is a relationship between innovation competence of teachers in the learning with pedagogic competence of 0.447, (4) there is a relationship between standard process knowledge, work motivation and innovation of teachers in learning together with the pedagogic competence of 0.741.Keywords: pedagogical competence, standard process knowledge, teachers innovation, work motivation

Abstract

The aim of this research were (1) to determine the level of ability on a social science lesson plan of semester fourth PGSD Students (2) to know the APKG I aspects generally less mastered by the student.The research method used was class action research (PTK) research design used was Kemmis model which consist of planning actions, observations and reflections.The results of this action research were (1) in pre action, the grade point average was 5.61; in post action the grade point average was 6.70; (2) APKG I aspects that generally less mastered by the student was the second aspect of developing and organizing subject, media and learning resources and the third aspects on procedures planning, type and assessment instrument preparing.Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui tinggi rendahnya kemampuan menyusun rencana pembelajaran IPS pada mahaiswa PGSD semester IV (2) mengetahui aspak-aspek APKG I yang secara umum kurang di kuasai mahasiswa.Metode penelitian adalah : Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) rancangan penelitian menggunakan model kemmis yang terdiri atas perencanaan tindakan dan pengamatan serta refleksi.Hasil Penelitian Tindakan adalah (1) sebelum tindakan rata-rata nilai rencana pembelajaran 5,61; sesudah tindakan 6,70; (2) aspek APKG I yang secara umum kurang dikuasai mahasiswa adalah aspek ke 2 tentang mengembangkan dan mengorganisasikan materi, media dan sumber belajar dan aspek ke 3 tentang merencanakan prosedur, jenis dan menyiapkan alat penilaian.Kata kunci : rencana pembelajaran, upaya perbaikan

Abstract

The objective of the study was to know the teachers perception toward theimplementation of Students Centered Method ( SCM) in comparison to TeacherCentered Method(TCM) to the secondary school studentsRiau province. Thesubject of the study was 28 the secondary school teachers of six regencies in Riauprovince.The result of the study indicated that English teachers moderately to highlysupported the implementation of SCM in teaching reading. They showed theirgreater agreement to SCM method than TCM in terms of conditional, conceptual ,instructional, and students - learning perspectives. The comparison of teachers?perception toward the implementation of SCM were significantly greater than theirperception toward TCM in teaching reading. For classroom assessment, grammarand vocabulary mastery, and content learningfor instructional perspectivesdimension and memorizing strategy and everyday reading habit for studentslearning perspectives dimension, teachers showed positive perspective to TCMthan to SCM but there was no significant differences on means value of bothmethods. Lastly, there were no significant differences on teachers perceptionregarding their, ages, sex, education except for those teaching experiences above20 years but with no significantly differed on mean value of both .Keywords: perception, student centered method, teacher centered method

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine and analyze the Athletes Performance Improvement Policy Implementation and Training Development Center Regional Student (PPLPD) and the Regional Sports Office of Central Sulawesi Province. The main theory as a reference in this research is the theory of policy implementation that includes Edward III; (1) communication, (2) resources, (3) the disposition, (4) a bureaucratic structure. The research method using descriptive qualitative approach. The research location is housed at the Center for Student Development and Training Area (PPLPD) and the Office of the Provincial Sports Central Sulawesi with an informant as much as 5 people were selected purposively. The data collection was done by interviewing, observation, and documentation. Analysis using Interactive model of Miles and Huberman. Based on the results of research, policy implementation Improved Performance Athlete Development Center and Training Student Area (PPLPD) Department and the Regional Sports Central Sulawesi province when viewed from the aspect (1) communication, (2) resources, (3) disposition, and (4) the structure of the bureaucracy , indicating that it is not effective, because there are still aspects that have not been run, namely communication, resources and disposition, bureaucratic structure goes well, just need to be improved in order to carve the highest performance and won the gold medal at events nationally and internationally in the future will come as expectations that can boast of athletes, officials and governments PPLPD Central Sulawesi.
