Abstract

The intensity of illumination in a room should be in accordance with the need of that room, like the set standards of the Indonesia National Number 6197 in 2011. The study is intended to evaluate the system of lighting in the rooms and take into account the aspect of saving energy of the Yayasan Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu. From the result of the measurement directly by using Light Meter measurement tool obtained that strong lighting in the room do not meet the Indonesia National Standard. This research is carried out the intensity measurement of strong lighting in the Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu Foundation.. Cause of that, lamps evaluation of intensity by using of zonal cavity methods. Type of lamps suggested are five Philips LED with 33 Watts. The results of the calculation method are simulated using the DIALux Evo V.8.2 software which display on dimensional three image and intensity of illumination in the room. From simulation, the colour of wall with pure white increases the illumination intensity from 400 Luxes to be 556 Luxes. Saving Energy for SD Islam Inayah is 31,25 by using Philips LED compared to Hannochs lamps.Keywords: Zonal Cavity Method , Software DIALux Evo , Saving Energy.

Abstract

With the progress of industry, power electronic equipment is widely used in power system, it has produced serious harmonic distortion. It goes without saying that harmonic analysis is a very important subject in power system. The influence of harmonics dominant because it is permanent. This harmonic influence spread to energy systems, energy devices, and influential to the energy source. For that, it is necessary a tool that is able to overcome these problems so that the electric energy services are not compromised and the reliability was not reduced. This study how to harmonic analysis, total harmonic distortion, and identifying the inverter at a solar power plant 320WP in accordance with the IEEE 519-2014.

Abstract

The problem of forest and peatland fires in Riau has become main topic to prioritize its revamping. Land and forest fires in Riau until reached 3,700 hectares area, happened in some last years,.Forest and peatland fires occured in the majority of districts in Riau Province, from low category of 4 hectares until 2,800 hectares. This researchdiscusses aboutanalysis of controlling wirelessTemperature Sensor for monitoring Peat-Land fire by using LM35 Temperature Sensor, Transmitter-Module (HC-12), Receiver-Module (HC-12), Arduino-ProMini to produce outputs on LED, LCD, Buzzer. Detector of Peat-Land fire works when it is burning, so heat will spread through aluminium stalk and be read by Temperature-Sensor1 upto Temperature-Sensor4. Output of each sensor is sent to each control block of Arduino-ProMini in Transmitter-Module(FU1?FU4). From Arduino-ProMini, it is sent toReceiver-Module(FU5). Receiver-Module only receives one data from Transmitter-Module in one time. Every data is received by Receiver-Module goes to Arduino-ProMini, processed to produce outputs on LCD that shows ID of FU1?FU4, Peat-Land Status, temperature of Peat Land. If LED is Green, Peat-Land not burned, LED shows SAFE Condition, Buzzer Off. If LED is Yellow, Peat-Land burned underground, LED shows BE-CAREFUL Condition, Buzzer On. If LED is Red, Peat-Land burned on the ground, LED shows DANGER Condition, Buzzer On. Temperature 0°C?21.9°Cis SAFE Category because Peat-Land not burned. Temperature 22°C?28.4°Cis BE-CAREFUL Category because Peat-Land burned underground. Temperature 28.4°C?50°Cis DANGER Category because Peat-Land burned on the ground. This equipment works as its frame work.

Abstract

Redesign of artificial lighting with electricity saving aspects at the Putri Tujuh Ujung Batu Foundation aims to evaluate the design of artificial lighting systems in several rooms including the Inayah Islamic Elementary School Office, Putri Tujuh Orphanage Dormitory and Fastabiqul Khairat Mosque by calculating aspects of energy savings. Initial measurement results show that the lighting strength in each room does not meet the specified standards. The measurement results are evaluated using the zonal cavity method. It is recommended that the type of lamps used are 2 Philips LED 27 Watt lamps and 33 Philips LED 33 Watt lamps. Calculations with this method are simulated using the DiaLux Evo V.8.2 software which displays a three-dimensional image along with the strength of the lighting in each room. From the simulation results it was found that the use of pure white paint coated walls increases the lighting strength. The percentage of Electricity savings for Inayah Islamic Elementary School office space was 31.25%, Putri Tujuh Orphanage Dormitory was 61.64% and the Fastabiqul Khairat Mosque was 7.11% when compared to the use of Hannochs lamps.

Abstract

This research will develop a catenary method to determine the sag and tension analysis on the 275 kV transmission line conductors. The catenary method is dependent on the equation of the weight of the conductor, the maximum tensile stress of the conducting wire, the length of the span, and the maximum sag of the conductor. The method will be used in determining the value of sag and tension with the design of the model using software AutoCAD. The results of research for the same tower sag height of 6.86 m, with a tension of 4610.83 kg and a conductor length of 401.06 m, while sag for the tower is not the same height of 8.14 m, with a tension of 4612.84 kg, and changes in conductor length 401.06 m. The increase in current causes the sag value to increase, when the minimum current sag value is 6.9828 m, and the maximum current sag value increases to 8.44 m. While the tension will decrease along so that temperature is increased the current minimum pressure of 4531.27kg, and at the time of maximum tension of 3749.728kg. Sag and tension are also affected by ambient temperature when the minimum temperature is 20 ? sags are 6.8621 m and when the maximum temperature is 40 ? sag increases to 7.793492 m. Tension will decrease with each increase in temperature when the minimum temperature is 20 ? tension 4610.538 kg when the maximum temperature is 40 ? the tension is reduced to 4062.345 kg.

Abstract

Accurate estimastion of fault location is essential for reliability of power system. For this purpose, fault location algorithms are studied and compared in this paper. This paper use two methods for fault location calculation by the short circuit faulted on the distribution line in Bangko PT. Chevron Pacific Indonesia. The two methods used in this paper are simple reactance and takagi. To analyze both methods, various types of short circuit faults were modeled and simulated at various location on a distribution line using ETAP 12.6.0 program. Short circuit types that simulated in this paper are phase to ground (F-G), phase to phase (F-F), phase to pase to ground (F-F-G), and three-phase (F-F-F). Both methods using current and voltage data to calculate the fault distance on the distribution line that obtained from the simulated result data. The percentage error due to simple reactance method and takagi method of single phase to ground and phase to phase faulted were zero. But have a different results for phase to phase to ground (F-F-G) and three phase (F-F-F) faulted by using simple reactance had only one error and takagi obtained by 6 error and had the highest error of 1,2%. The results have shown that the simple reactance method more easier and accurately than takagi method to estimate the location of short circuit faulted on distribution line.Keywords: Fault Location, Short Circuit Faults, Simple Reactance Method, Takagi Method, Software ETAP 12.6.0

Abstract

Pekanbaru city is a city located in an area that has a large enough lightning density level that is equal to 136 days per year with a density of lightning strikes to the ground (Ng) reached19,5128 strikes/ km2/ year. So it can endanger the high buildings as being in PT. TELKOM Pekanbaru. PT. TELKOM Pekanbaru is the central distribution of data throughout the RiauMainland telecommunication, where it needs a reliable protection system. The aim of this study is to introduce a new method introduced in the IEEE publication, IEEE 998TM-2012, on the lightning protection called EGM Eriksson method. This study uses a Eriksson EGM method to analyze the composition of the air terminal building PT. TELKOM Pekanbaru, which will then determine the area of protection of the external lightning protection system All of this analysis is described in three dimensions using Sketchup 2015 and showed good protection results.Keywords : lightning protection, EGM, Eriksson

Abstract

Tide height is an important parameter in obtaining the amount of tidal energy by utilizing the potential energy contained in the water caused by the movement of sea water caused tidal. Karimun waters of Riau Island province has a reservoir of 29.69 Ha former tin mining which is directly related to the sea connected by floodgates that allegedly contained the potential for tidal energy is high. Karimun tidal waters that occurs twice ebb tide twice the difference between the highest to the lowest ebb during spring tide reaches 3.8 m while the difference during neap 0.2 m. In the planning of generating tidal power necessary to study potential energy, mechanical energy, in addition to the natural factors that must be considered is the morphology of the beach, water characteristics, topography, rainfall, sea depth and lithology underwater, because it influences the volume of reservoirs, construction field and construction of energy converters. Design of tidal power generation using penstock pipe dimensions of 3.7 m, designed stainless kaplan turbines installed perpendicular coupled to a synchronous generator pole shoe (salient) 39889.7 kW generator power output. Results of analysis of tidal energy potential of an average of 46910.6 kWh in 2013 and average of 46605.4 kWh in 2014. Abstract

The tower BTS (Base Transceiver Station) is a high tower that is susceptible to lightning strikes. If a BTS tower was struck by lightning directly, then it would occur a more currents that flows on the system derived from the lightning surges, the lightning surge will distributed to a those channels made of metallic material with system connected to a telecommunication equipment through bonding bar. To protect the power lines from damage due to overcurrent the resulting by lightning strikes, then install the cutting tool, namely voltage surge arresters, in this case arresters used are metal oxide arrester varistor (MOV). In this research conducted to determine the arrester surge current capacity of required on the power channel that is connected to the arresters on theequipment telekomunikasis by simulation Alternative Transient Electromagnetic transients Program-Program (ATP-EMTP).Keywords : tower BTS, surge current, arrester MOV, ATP-EMTP
