Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the low results in learning mathematics student SDN 008 Teluk Pulau Hulu Kecamatan Rimba Melintang Crossing, with an average grade of 60.00. While the value of the minimum completeness criteria (KKM) Mathematics is 68. Among the students who totaled 21 people only 8 people were reached KKM. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted aims to improve mathematics learning outcomes SDN 008 Teluk Pulau Hulu Kecamatan Rimba Melintang Across the implementation of Realistic Mathematics learning approach. Data collection instruments in this thesis is the teacher and student activity sheets and learning outcomes. This paper presents the study results of the data obtained from the average of the results of study before action 60.00 increase to 5.70% to 77.30 in cycle I. In the second cycle increased to 10.3% with an average of 83.21. Teacher activity in the first cycle the first meeting to obtain a percentage of 63% in both categories, at the second meeting has increased by 71% the percentage of both categories. Selanjutya first meeting of the second cycle of teacher activity also increased with the percentage of 80% good category and at the second meeting increased again by 86% the percentage of very good category. Activity of students in the first cycle the first meeting to obtain the percentage of 61% good category, at the second meeting has increased by 69% the percentage of both categories, the students begin to understand this cycle of learning activities with the application of mathematics learning Realistic characterized by the activity of students in the second cycle increased with the first meeting the percentage of 75% both categories. At the second meeting have increased the percentage of 83% is very good category. Results of the study in Kelas V SDN 008 Teluk Pulau Hulu Kecamatan Rimba Melintang prove that the application of realistic mathematics learning approach can improve the results of learning mathematics Elementary School fifth grade students SDN 008 Teluk Pulau Hulu Kecamatan Rimba Melintang.Keywords : Implementation Approach Realistic Mathematics Education, Mathematics Learning Outcomes3

Abstract

Abstract: Civic Education Teachers have a considerable role and responsibility to foster student attitudes and behavior, one of which includes an attitude of tolerance towards students. Because civic education is a subject that focuses on the formation of citizens who understand and can carry out the rights and obligations to become intelligent, skilled and characterized Indonesian citizens mandated by Pancasila and Undang-Undang 1945. The purpose of this study is to find out how the role of PPKn teacher?s in embedding character tolerance in students in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. To find out how the tolerance character of student in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. To find out how there is an influence of the role of PPKn teacher?s in embedding character tolerance in student in SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study were students of SMP Negeri 1 Pekanbaru with a total of VII grade students, there are 5 classes with 163 students, VIII classes there are 6 classes with 234 students and Class IX there are 7 classes with a total of 291 students. The sample in this study was taken using a proportional sampling technique with 10% of subjects. The technique of data collection is done through observation, questionnaire, interview and documentation. In analyzing data using quantitative descriptive techniques with statistical tests. The results of this study indicate that the role of the PPKn teacher in instilling tolerance character is at a very good level. There is a significant influence in this study because it is known that the results of a simple linear regression between variables X and Y, obtained Fcount of 4.273 and Ftable of 3.99 indicates Fcount> Ftable, so that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The influence is low because the results obtained by 24.8%.Key Words: The Role, PPKn Teachers, Tolerance Character.

Abstract

Abstrak : This study in the background by the percentage of the number of students who achieve KKM 75 on exam even semester 2014 - 2015 is even lower. Of the 31 students only 13 (42%) of students who reach KKM and 18 person (58%) students who have not reached KKM with an average of 65.64. This is because teachers rarely used learning models during process the learn teach in the classroom, teachers more much used the lecture method, the teacher does not use props, the teacher did not do the experiment, less involving students in the learning process. Of these problems need to be done to implement the action research model of direct instruction to improve learning outcomes IPA SD Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. The application of direct teaching model is a model of learning that focuses on mastery of concepts and behavior change with a deductive approach, the teacher's role is very important in the direct teaching model so that the learning objectives can be understood by students. With the direct teaching is expected to motivate students to study science so that the material can be controlled well and can improve learning outcomes especially science subjects. To support learning outcomes both in direct teaching, educators must also conduct experiments. Where the research was in SD Negeri 25 Pekanbaru with research subjects are students of class III of 31 people, male students and 18 female students 13 people. This study was carried in 2 cycles. Instrument collecting data in this study is the observation sheet teacher activity, student activity observation sheet and test sheet daily tests. Observations indicate that the activity of teachers and students has increased. The activities of teachers in the first cycle both categories increased 72.22% in the second cycle into 91.66% excellent category. Activity of students in the first cycle both categories increased 69.44% in the second cycle into 91.66% excellent category. The results showed that the learning outcomes of students has increased, the base score with an average of 65.54 incomplete categories increased in the first cycle to 75 categories completed, and the second cycle increased to 80.32 category completely. Classical mastery in the first cycle showed that 74.19%, on the second cycle increased to 87.09% and the percentage of classical completeness predetermined. From the above shows that through the implementation of direct teaching can improve learning outcomes IPA Elementary School third grade students Lesson 25 Pekanbaru years 2014-2015. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion that has been carried out it can be concluded that the application of the model of direct teaching can improve learning outcomes IPA third grade students of SD Negeri 25 Pekanbaru, namely an increase in activity of teachers and students in each cycle, the improvement of learning outcomes IPA, and can achieve mastery student learning as expected.Keywords: direct teaching, learning outcomes IPA
