Abstract

Proses penjadwalan kegiatan perkuliahan disuatu instasi pendidikan merupakan hal yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan. Kegiatan di instasi pendidikan dapat berjalan dengan lancar apabila penyusunan jadwal sesuai dengan kebutuhan. Penjadwalan praktikum merupakan salah satu bagian dari penjadwalan kegiatan perkuliahan. Proses penjadwalan praktikum di Laboratorium (Lab) Fisika Dasar Universitas Gunadarma dilakukan setiap semesternya dan merupakan hal yang rumit untuk dikerjakan secara manual. Selain itu penjadwalan secara manual memakan waktu cukup lama karena banyak faktor yang harus dipertimbangkan. Faktor – faktor tersebut antara lain, jumlah kelas yang akan mengikuti praktikum fisika dasar setiap semesternya berubah, jumlah mahasiswa yang setiap tahunnya berubah, jumlah modul, dan waktu praktikum yang terbatas. Ruang praktikum yang terbatas menyebabkan Lab Fisika Dasar harus membuat jadwal praktikum yang efektif. Konsep algoritma genetika dapat diterapkan dalam permasalahan penjadwalan praktikum di Lab Fisika Dasar inidapat dicari solusi terbaik dengan menggunakan operator genetika (seleksi, crossover dan mutasi). Kata kunci : Algoritma Genetika, Laboratorium, Penjadwalan, Praktikum

Abstract

Polyextremophiles have increasingly been utilised to produce thermostable enzymes with better stability in multiple extreme conditions. This study reports the screening results of four new bacterial isolates (PLS A, PLS 75, PLS 76 and PLS 80), isolated from an under water hot springs, in producing thermo-halostable protease enzyme. Optimum cultivation conditions for the protease production were also studied. Screening of protease-producing isolates was conducted using Thermus solid medium enriched with 3% skim milk and 0.5% casein. The growth of the isolates showing protease activity was monitored by measuring the cell dry weight and protease activity during 24 h cultivation period. The activity was also measured at various cultivation conditions, i.e. temperature, pH and salt concentrations. Amongst the four isolates, only PLS A showed the ability to produce protease. The optimum cultivation conditions for protease production were observed at 65°C, pH 7 for 18 h incubation. The activity increased with the addition of 1% NaCl concentration (0.085 Unit/mL). The ability of PLS A isolate to produce thermo-halostable protease was encouraging as they could potentially be used in industries requiring the enzyme with multiple extremes.

Abstract

Watermarking sebagai salah satu cabang dari ilmu steganography yang merupakan teknik penyisipan data atau informasi yang bersifat rahasia ke dalam media data digital lainnya.Watermarking merupakan salah satu solusi untuk melindungi hak cipta yang merupakan suatu teknik penyisipan (embedding) informasi ke dalam media data digital seperti citra, teks, audio dan video secara rahasia.Pada penulisan ilmiah ini dibuat suatu aplikasi watermarking menggunakan metode Least Significant Bit (LSB).Tahapan yang dilakukan untuk membuat aplikasi ini adalah melakukan analisa kebutuhan aplikasi, perancangan menggunakan UML dan struktur navigasi, serta pembuatan aplikasi dan pengkodean mengunakan MATLAB R2010a.Hasil uji coba aplikasi ini memungkinkan pengguna untuk menyisipkan watermark ke dalam gambar digital yang dapat berupa teks maupun gambar untuk mengamankan gambar digital. Pada gambar digital yang berekstensi .png dan .bmp metode Least Significant Bit (LSB) yang dalam proses watermarking tidak membuat adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara ukuran gambar asli dengan ukuran gambar yang dihasilkan, sedangkan pada gambar asli yang berekstensi .jpg proses watermarking membuat perubahan ukuran yang signifikan karena adanya perubahan ekstensi pada hasil gambar. Kata kunci: Gambar Digital, Least Significant Bit, MATLAB, Watermarking

Abstract

The search for novel DNA Polymerases I, with higher fidelity and better polymerization rate, is essential to improve the Polymerase Chain Reaction method. A thermo-halophilic bacterium has been isolated from an undersea hot spring, dubbed Pria Laot Sabang (PLS) A strain. The 0.9 kb DNA Polymerase I gene fragments from the isolate were amplified, sequenced, and identified. The fragments were part of the polymerization domain of the enzyme. Homological analysis of the gene sequence showed that the PLS A strain was closely related to Bacillus caldolyticusstrain XM. However, Swissprot structural analysis reveals that PLS A strain had high homology to Geobacillus stearathermophilus. Full sequence analysis is still needed to identify the species and evaluate the intact enzyme structure.

Abstract

This research of background by existence of policy of government for the development of road, street of Alai-By Pass, where one of them as main road and gand alternative avacuate so that facilitating society to save self. This matter bring impact to change of society living residing in sub-district of deep hollow leech. This research aim to for the knowing of society living before and after development of road. Street of Alai-By Pass in sub- district of deep hollow leech disrtrict of Kuranji and of knowing mount earnings of society in sub-district of deep hollow leech district of Kuranji town field.   Theory of used is change of social according to this Neil Smelser research use approach of research qualitative with descriptive type. Informan at this reseach is original society who live in frontage walke Alai- By Pass and elite figure and also officer of subdistrict of deep hollow leech. Election of informan at this research use technique of purposive sampling. Data type the used is primary data and data of sekunder. Method data collecting conducted in three way of. (1) observation (observation non-participant), (2) cir cumstantial interview, (3) documentation study. Its analysis data used with model analysis data of interaktif (Miles and of Huberman) including in four step, that is: (1) data collecting phase, (2) phase reduce data, (3) phase presentation of data and (4) conclusion phase.

Abstract

Di zaman sekarang beberapa kendala sering dihadapi oleh mahasiswa dalam menuntut ilmu, salah satunya pengelolaan keuangan pribadi. Informasi pencatatan biaya pengeluaran serta pemasukan mahasiswa tiap hari yang kurang terkontrol, dapat  mengakibatkan mahasiswa yang memiliki pemasukan keuangan yang tidak besar dapat tidak menyadari bahwa pengeluaran biaya untuk memenuhi kebutuhan perkuliahannya tidaklah sedikit. Masalah tersebut menjadi landasan penelitian mengenai pembuatan Aplikasi Sistem Informasi Keuangan Mahasiswa pada telepon pintar. Keberadaan aplikasi ini  dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengatur dan mencatat informasi keuangan, serta mengontrol kondisi keuangan, baik harian maupun periodik. Aplikasi ini dibangun dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan basis data MySQL dan dapat dijalankan pada perangkat telepon pintar, sehingga mahasiswa dapat dengan mudah menggunakannya.  Kata kunci :  Aplikasi, Sistem Informasi Keuangan, mahasiswa, telepon pintar, MySQL, PHP  Nowadays, there are many obstructions faced by students in studying. One of them is the personal financial management. The less controlled of daily records of students’ receipts and expenditures results in the students, who have insignificant receipt, become unaware of their high tuition fee. The issue becomes the justification of creating the student’s financial information system application on smartphone. It is expected that the application can help students to manage and to record their financial information, as well as, to control their financial condition, either daily or periodically. Abstract

This research is a descriptive study with the aim to produce a model of planning for therecruitment and training of the institution in creating a professional labor export. The methodologyused by the technique of collecting data through surveys, koesioner, and interviews, the sample isprospective migrants who apply through the recruitment agency in West Sumatra. The resultswere obtained that the model include the need to pay attention to the existence of recruitment, thecharacteristics of the workers, paperwork / documents TKI, giving skills / expertise of workers andthe provision of debriefing Final Departure (PAP) before workers dispatched. From the analysisconducted that models used give a significant effect of more than fifty percent. This means that thismodel should be applied against those involved in sending workers abroad, namely recruitmentand skills training institutes place. As for the government of this model can be used as a referencein making a policy in sending workers abroad in order to minimize problems abroad.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the quality of education and skills of prospective Indonesia Labor from West Sumatra on income. Wage income is expected equivalent to the level of wage labor which comes from other countries. Therefore, in order to obtain equal wage, prospective Indonesian labors sent abroad should be a good level of education, skill trained so that labor productivity increased. The method used in this study is Test Crosstab, and, Chi Square test to see the effect between the two variables used. It is shown that Indonesian labors do not able to compete in terms of quality of education and skills, compared to foreign labors, so that the income received by the Indonesian labor is lower. In addition, professional job that has been chosen by the Indonesian labor is the operator, profession which does not necessarily require a high level of educational and skills qualifications.

Abstract

Exploitation of extremophiles as novel bioactive compounds sources has been increasing. The aim of this study was to evaluate the activity and the class of antibiotic produced by a thermo-halophilic isolate PLS 76, as well as to identify the genotype of the isolate. The activity was determined by a disc diffusion method, while the antibiotic class was determined qualitatively by chemical reactions using ninhydrin, iodine vapour and potassium iodine. The genotype was determined by sequencing the 16S rRNA gene fragment and the phylogenetic tree from the sequence data. The results showed that PLS 76 was a Gram-negative bacterium and able to produce polypeptide antibiotic, which showed a slight activity on E. coli and S. aureus. Sequence alignment of the 16S rRNA gene fragment showed that PLS 76 was most related to Geobacillus kaustophilus. These results may be used to utilise the isolated for further antibiotic study.
