Abstract

Gelatin is a product of hydrolysis of collagen protein from animals that are partially processed.  Gelatin used in food and non food industries.  Gelatin is produced when many import of raw skins and bones of pigs and cows.  Goat skins potential as a raw material substitution that still doubt its halal. Process production of gelatin determine the properties of gelatin. The objectives of this research were to determine amino acid profile, group of functional and molecular weight distribution of gelatin made from goat skins which was produced through a process of acid. The skin of male Bligon goat, 1.5 to 2.5 year old was used as raw materials. Process production of gelatin was using acid type acetic acid (CH3COOH 0.5 M) (v/v) as curing material. The experimental design applied in this study and commercial gelatin was used as control. The results showed that gelatin produced from goat skin through the process of acid had properties identical with commercial gelatin. It can be concluded that the gelatin has the potential substitute product of commercial gelatin. Keywords: collagen, gelatin, goat skin, curing, acid process

Abstract

The use of glycerol as a plasticizer in the film solution mixture was identified to the physical properties of edible film. The objectives of this study was to evaluate the physical characteristics of edible films using gelatin from Bligon goat skin as a raw material with glycerol as a plasticizer. The experiment was conducted in a laboratory experiment using completely randomized design (CRD) method. There were three concentrations of glycerol as a plasticizer, namely: 80%, 90% and 100% (calculated from the amount of gelatin is 9%). The variables of this study were thickness, tensile strength and elongation et break. The results of this study showed that the difference in the concentration of glycerol as a plasticizer in the gelatin of 9% gave no significant effect on the thickness and tensile strength of edible films, however very significant effect on the elongation et break. It was proven that glycerol concentration of 80% as a plasticizer had been better physically.  Key words: edible film, gelatin, Bligon goat skin, glycerol, plasticizer

Abstract

KLT Densitometri adalah salah satu metode yang banyak digunakan untuk penetapan kadar bahan aktif. Salah satu bahan aktif tersebut adalah epigalokatekin galat dalam ekstrak teh hijau yang banyak digunakan dalam produk krim. Metode tersebut perlu divalidasi untuk membuktikan hasil pengukuran mendekati kadar yang sesungguhnya. Tujuan penelitian ini ingin membuktikan bahwa metode KLT Densitometri yang digunakan akan memberikan linieritas, ketelitian, ketepatan yang memenuhi persyaratan serta mengetahui nilai LOD(Limit if Detection) dan LOQ (Limit of Quantitation). Penelitian menggunakan kadar 600, 1800 dan 3000 ?g dengan replikasi 3 kali untuk mengetahui ketelitian (berdasarkan nilai CV) dan ketepatan (berdasarkan nilai perolehan kembali). Linieritas diketahui dengan menghitung nilai r pada kurva hubungan antara kadar dan luas area kromatogram yang selanjutnya persamaan kurva baku digunakan untuk menghitung LOD dan LOQ. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode yang digunakan memenuhi persyaratan liniearitas dengan nilai r=0,98. Nilai CV untuk kadar 600, 1800 dan 3000 ug masing-masing 8,18%; 3,19% dan 1,53% dan perolehan kembali masing-masing 88,10%; 99,65% dan 111,33%. Nilai LOD adalah 827,01 ?g/ml dan LOQ adalah 2756,69 ?g/ml.

Abstract

 Abstract Pharmacy internship in pharmacies is an important stage to prepare prospective pharmacists as health workers. Knowing the process of pharmacy internship implementation is very important in improving the learning system, recognizing obstacles and providing recommendations for solutions to improve the quality of pharmacy education. This aims to know the description of the process and the obstacle of pharmacy internship in pharmacies. The implementation and constraints of the preceptors during pharmacy internship in pharmacies were collected throughFocus Group Discussion (FGD) involving 18 preceptors in Yogyakarta. The data collected were transcribed and categorised, then analysed qualitatively. The Duration, effective hours, process flow, assessment methods still vary, some weresubjective and undocumented; most do not have written procedures and procedures; and evaluation has not been done consistently also has not been acted upon. Constraints include: timing difficulties; compensation; lack of facilities support; limitations on the number and skills of pharmacists and pharmacy employees; as well as the lack of enthusiastic students. The implementation of pharmacy internship in pharmacies needs to be improved to upgrade the competencies of pharmacist graduates. Keywords: preseptors, focus group discussion, pharmacy internship, pharmacies Intisari Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker (PKPA) di Apotek merupakan tahap penting untuk mempersiapkan calon apoteker sebagai tenaga kesehatan. Mengetahui proses pelaksanaan PKPA sangat penting dalam memperbaiki sistem pembelajaran, mengenali kendala dan memberikan rekomendasi solusi untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan farmasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan dan kendala preseptor dalam pelaksanaan PKPA di Apotek. Focus Group Discussion (FGD) melibatkan 18 orang preceptor PKPA apotek di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta, dilanjutkan dengan analisa kualitatif.  Durasi, jam efektif, alur proses, metode penilaian masih bervariasi; bersifat subyektif dan belum terdokumentasi; sebagian besar belum memiliki tata tertib dan prosedur tertulis; evaluasi belum dilakukan secara konsisten dan belum ditindaklanjuti. Kendala meliputi: kesulitan pengaturan waktu; kompensasi; kurangnya dukungan fasilitas; keterbatasan jumlah dan keterampilan apoteker dan karyawan apotek; serta kurangnya antusias mahasiswa. Pelaksanaan Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker di Apotek perlu segera diperbaiki dan ditingkatkan untuk menghasilkan lulusan apoteker yang kompeten. Kata kunci: preseptor, focus group discussion, Praktek Kerja Profesi Apoteker, apotek

Abstract

Abstract Antiseptic preparation that is currently developed today is the hand gel (hand sanitizer). The active substance that has antibacterial activity contained in this gel. Several studies have shown that tobacco leaf extract (Nicotiana tabaccum) has antibacterial activity, so that preparations can be developed by adding tobacco extracts as active ingredient. Formula optimization performed by the method simplex lattice design (SLD) uses 2 components such as Carbopol940 and TEA, with a variety of amount. Viscosity, pH, dispersive power and adhesion of gel formulation is used as a parameter optimization. Based on the equation simplex lattice design, contour plot made to determine the optimum formula. Carbopol940 and Trietanilamin (TEA) with a variety of different amount will affect the physical properties of the gel. The optimum formula obtained by the prediction program Design Expert is the Formula I which have high levels of Carbopol940 0.4 grams and 0.9 grams of TEA. Carbopol940 is the most dominant factor that increases the viscosity and stickiness. TEA is the most dominant factor in raising the pH and the scatter. Keyword: Gel, Carbopol 940, TEA,  Nicotiana tabacum, Simplex Lattice Design (SLD) Intisari Salah satu sediaan antiseptik yang saat ini banyak dikembangkan adalah gel pembersih tangan (hand sanitizer) dengan kandungan zat aktif yang bersifat antibakteri. Beberapa penelitian membuktikan bahwa ekstrak daun tembakau (Nicotiana tabaccum) menhasilkan aktivitas antibakteri, sehingga sediaan hand sanitizer dapat dikembangkan dengan menambahkan ekstrak tembakau sebagai zat aktifnya. Optimasi formula dilakukan dengan metode simplex lattice design (SLD) menggunakan 2 komponen yaitu Karbopol 940 dan TEA, dengan berbagai variasi kadar. Viskositas, pH, daya sebar dan daya lekat sediaan gel digunakan sebagai parameter optimasi. Berdasarkan persamaan simplex lattice design, dibuat contour plot untuk menentukan formula optimum. Karbopol dan Trietanilamin (TEA) dengan variasi kadar yang berbeda akan mempengaruhi sifat fisik gel yang dihasilkan. Formula optimum yang diperoleh berdasarkan prediksi program Design Expert adalah pada Formula I yang memiliki kadar Karbopol 940 0,4 gram dan TEA 0,9 gram. Karbopol 940 merupakan faktor yang paling dominan meningkatkan viskositas dan daya lekat TEA merupakan faktor yang paling dominan menaikkan pH dan daya sebar. Kata kunci: Gel, Karbopol 940, TEA,  Nicotiana tabacum, Simplex Lattice Design (SLD)

Abstract

IFRS (Instalasi Farmasi Rumah Sakit) X Purwokerto adalah salah satu rumah sakit milik pemerintah yang bergerak pada pelayanan publik. IFRS X sebagai salah satu organisasi yang memasuki lingkungan industri kesehatan yang kompetitif harus dapat meningkatkan kinerja dan memberikan pelayanan terintegrasi secara lebih efektif, efisien, dan inovatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui proses bisnis internal IFRS X berdasarkan perspektif balanced scorecard, meliputi ratarata dispensing time, dan rata-rata waktu pemberian informasi obat. Abstract

Getting maximal service represent dream all society especially receiver of service of  the hospital  including in pharmacy installation. Patient got many problems because service not yet fulfilled standard. To fulfill requirement of patient, pharmacy installation have to this research accredit  to know storey level according to seven accreditation standard to service of pharmacy in RSUD Sub Province Bima and repair strategy with Hanlon method.  This Research use instrument of quizioner  Depkes and special informan interview counted 15 informan and people lock counted 3 people. Subject at this research is all officer in concerned and have important role in pharmacy Installation RSUD Sub Province Bima. Conducted by assessment seven standard  later then compared to between informan with result of observation,  afterwards analyzed by strategy development by using Hanlon method. Result of Research of show there are difference of result assessment of standard accredit between officer of pharmacy Installation that is ( 58,75%) with research that is  ( 55%). From seventh of accreditation standard, nothing that fulfill accreditation standard (< 60%), result  strategy development with Hanlon method is Facility and equipments, repair of facilities and basic facilities of Pharmacy administration  management and, immediately do function KFT . Evaluation and quality control, require to make pharmacy program written  and also SK about meeting schedule .Philosophy   and  target, SK about policy of pharmacy service  from  Hospital head. Policy and procedure, making SOP and policy written  about management of provisions of pharmacy . Development of education program and staff,  done by education program and periodical training in IFRS. Abstract

Kualitas hidup merupakan salah satu acuan keberhasilan dari upaya pengobatan termasuk kemoterapi pada pasien kanker. Pasien kanker yang menjalani kemoterapi dapat mengalami perubahan pada kualitas hidupnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai kualitas hidup pasien kanker serviks dengan menggunakan kuesioner EQ-5D sebelum dan setelah mendapatkan kemoterapi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian non-eksperimental bersifat analitik menurut perspektif pasien dengan teknik pengumpulan data secara prospektif. Subjek penelitian adalah pasien kanker serviks rawat inap kelas 3 yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Penelitian dilakukan di RSUP Dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung. Data yang digunakan adalah data pasien dari bulan Juni sampai Desember 2015. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner EQ-5D. Selanjutnya dilakukan perhitungan persentase permasalahan pasien, nilai indeks EQ-5D (utility) dan nilai EQ-5D VAS. Nilai utility dan EQ-5D VAS dianalisis secara statistik dengan uji Wilcoxon (α=5%) untuk melihat terjadinya perubahan kondisi yang bermakna sebelum dan setelah kemoterapi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa setelah kemoterapi siklus pertama, persentase masalah kemampuan berjalan/bergerak dan kegiatan yang biasa dilakukan mengalami peningkatan, rasa sakit/ tidak nyaman dan rasa cemas/depresi mengalami penurunan, sedangkan perawatan diri tidak mengalami perubahan. Berdasarkan hasil uji statistik, setelah kemoterapi siklus pertama, nilai utility dan EQ-5D VAS mengalami peningkatan dan menunjukkan peningkatan bermakna (nilai T hitung masing-masing 2,0 dan 4,5) pada pasien stadium I.

Abstract

Rutin dan kuersetin merupakan senyawa golongan flavonoid yang terkandung dalam ekstrak daun murbei (Morus alba L.) dan mempunyai pengaruh  dalam sistem kardiovaskuler. Pada penelitian ini diteliti pengaruh enkapsulasi ekstrak daun murbei terhadap tekanan darah arteri,. Ekstrak dibuat secara remaserasi dengan menggunakan penyari etanol 95%. Kandungan rutin dan kuersetin didalam ekstrak ditentukan dengan menggunakan Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (KCKT). Enkapsulasi  dilakukan terhadap 0,25% ekstrak,  menggunakan kitosan  0,5mg/mL  dan TPP 1mg/mL. Karakterisasi dilakukan terhadap ukuran partikel, efisiensi enkapsulasi dan Spektroskopi Infra Merah-Fourier Transform. Ekstrak dengan dosis 1g/kg berat badan dan ekstrak terenkapsulasi dengan dosis 1,313g/kg berat badan kemudian diberikan   secara per oral pada tikus normotensif maupun tikus hipertensif, selanjutnya diukur tekanan darah arteri dan frekuensi denyut jantung dengan menggunakan Coda Non-Invasive Blood Pressure System. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kadar rutin dan kuersetin dalam ekstrak adalah (0,87±0,138) mg/g  dan (4,427±0,065) mg/g.  Kitosan-TPP dengan perbandingan 0,5:1  membentuk partikel dengan ukuran antara  25,11–45,21nm  dan  efisiensi enkapsulasi  (76,14±2,29) % pada enkapsulasi ekstrak daun murbei. Ekstrak daun murbei dan ekstrak daun murbei terenkapsulasi dapat menurunkan tekanan darah  arteri.

Abstract

High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) was one of analytical methodscommonly used to determine the concentration of epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) on green teaextract. The method must be validated in order to fit to its purpose. The aim of this research was toprove that the used method has selectifity, liniearity, precise, accurate and know limit of detection(LOD) and limit of quantification (LOQ) is acceptable. The selectivity of analytical method wasdetermined by calculating the resolution value between two peak. Data from 10 ?g/mL and100 ?g/mL with 5 replicates would give precition and accuration. Precition was known from CV value and accuration was known from recovery value in each concentration. Liniearity was knownfrom regression linear between concentration and wide area of peak. From regresion linear couldcalculate LOD and LOQ. Research show that method of analyse have selectificity withRs= 2.27&gt;1.5; liniearity with r= 0.99; precision with CV 8.74% at concentration 200 µg/mL and3.74% at concentration 500 µg/mL; accuration with recovery 99.76% at concentration 200 µg/mLand 100.52% at concentration 500 µg/mL and the value of LOD is 33.28 ?g/mL and LOQ is110.93 ?g/mL.
