Abstract

This research aimed to know the effectiveness of problem based learning model in improving students mathematical communication skill. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of SMPN 1 Pringsewu in academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into 6 classes. The sample of this research was determined by purposive random sampling technique and it was selected students of VIII.1 class as sample. This research used one group pretest posttest design. Based on the analysis of data, it was concluded that problem based learning model was not effective to improve students mathematical communication skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran berbasis masalah dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pringsewu semester genap tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam enam kelas. Sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik purposive random sampling dan terpilih siswa kelas VIII.1 sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan one group pretest posttest design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis masalah tidak efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, kemampuan komunikasi matematis, PBM

Abstract

This quasi experimental research purposed to know the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of TPS type viewed by students mathematical conceptual understanding of grade VIII of SMP N 1 Kota Agung Barat odd semester in academic year 2013/2014. This research design was posttest only control design. The population of this research were all students of grade VIII SMP N 1 Kota Agung Barat odd semester academic year 2013/2014 which distributed into four classes. The sample of this research were all students of class VIII D  as experiment class and students of class VIII C as control class. The sample were chosen by purposive random sampling. The data of this research was students mathematical conceptual understanding. The research concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning model of TPS type was  effective to increase of students mathematical conceptual understanding.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kota Agung Barat semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design.  Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Kota Agung Barat semester ganjil tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam empat kelas. Sampel peneli­ti­­­­­­­­­an ini­ adalah siswa kelas VIII D sebagai kelas eksperimen dan siswa kelas VIII C  se­­­­­­bagai kelas kontrol. Sampel dipilih melalui tek­nik­ pur­po­­­­sive sampling­.  Data penelitian ini adalah data pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.  Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS efektif diterapkan dalam pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep matematis, TPS

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the influence of cooperative learning model type think pair share (TPS) toward student?s mathematical conceptual understanding. Design used in this study was a posttest only control grup design. The populations in this study are all students in 7th Grade of SMPN 3 batanghari in the academic year 2012/2013. The sample are class VII.1 and VII.2 choosed by used was cluster random sampling. Data techniques collection using mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on the result of hipotesis test by using t-test, the average of student?s mathematical conceptual understanding at class using cooperative learning type TPS is more than the average of student?s mathematical conceptual understanding that of using conventional learning. So, it was concluded that the cooperative learning type of TPS there was influence of increasing mathematical conceptual understanding of student.Keywords: cooperatif Learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS), mathematical conceptual understanding.

Abstract

The population of this research was all students of grade seventh in Junior High School 22 Bandar Lampung that were distributed into 12 classes. The samples of this research were students of VII-A and VII-B class which were chosen by purposive random sampling. This research used pretest-posttest control design. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that problem based learning wasnt effective viewed by student's mathematical communication skill.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas problem based learning ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 22 Bandar Lampung yang terdistribusi dalam 12 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-A dan VII-B yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive random sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa problem based learning tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, komunikasi matematis, problem based learning

Abstract

This research aimed to know the increasing of student?s mathematical communication skill and self-concept which was taught by problem based learning as compared to the conventional learning. The design of this research was pretest posttest control group design. The population was all students of grade 8thof regular class of SMPN 4 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2013/2014 that were distributed into eight classes. The samples were students of VIIIE and VIIIG class who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical communication skill and self-concept scale. The conclusion of this research was the problem based learning could increase the student?s mathematical communication skill, but not increase the student?s self-concept.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan self-concept siswa yang mengikuti PBM dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional. Desain dalam penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII reguler SMPN 4 Bandar Lampung Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIIE dan VIIIG yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan skala self-concept. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah PBM dapat meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan self-concept siswa.Kata kunci: kemampuan komunikasi matematis, pembelajaran berbasis masalah,  self-concept

Abstract

The Effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) Learning Model Viewed from the Students' Understanding of Mathematical Concepts. This study aimed to find out the effectiveness of the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning  model in terms of students' understanding in mathematical concepts. The population of this research was the students of X IPA at SMA Negeri 1 Seputih Surabaya in the second semester in academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 125 students and distributed into four classes. The research sample were all students of class X IPA 1 and X IPA 2 who were selected through purposive sampling. The design was used in this research was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis of the research showed that the increasing of students? understanding of mathematical concepts who took Creative Problem Solving (CPS) was higher than increasing of student? understanding of mathematical concepts who took conventional learning. The conclution of this study was the Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model was effective in terms of students? understanding in mathematical concepts.

Abstract

The population of this research was all students of eighth grade in Junior High School 25 Bandarlampung in the academic year of 2016/ 2017 that were distributed into nine classes and samples of this research were students of VIII-H and VIII-I class that were taken by cluster random sampling technique. This research used pretest-posttest control design. The research data was obtained from essay mathematical representation skill test and self confidence quistionnaire. The data analysis which was used was t?- test and proportion test. Based on the result and discussion of this research, it was concluded that problem based learning model was effective viewed by students mathematical representation and self confidence skill. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran berbasis masalah ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 25 Bandarlampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017 yang terdistribusi dalam sembilan kelas dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-H dan VIII-I yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes kemampuan representasi matematis berbentuk essay dan skala self confidence. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t?dan uji proporsi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan pembahasan diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis masalah efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan representasi matematis dan self confidence siswa. Kata kunci:  pembelajaran berbasis masalah, representasi matematis, self    conf dence

Abstract

Abstract: The Effectiveness of Learning Two Stay Two Stray In Terms of Students' Understanding of Mathematical Concepts. This quasi-experimental study aimed to examine the effectiveness of cooperative learning models of two stay two stray type in terms of students? understanding of mathematical concepts. The population of this study were all grade eight students of SMP Negeri 1 Pringsewu in even semester academic year of 2018/2019 as many as 151 students who were distributed into five classes. The research samples were students of VIII.4 as many as 32 students and VIII.5 as many as 29 students class which were selected by cluster random sampling technique. The design used was the randomized pretest-posttest control group design. The research data was collected by using essay test on the circle and obtained test data for students? understanding of mathematical concepts. The data analysis was carried out by using the -test and proportion test. The results of this study showed that the cooperative learning model two stay two stray type was not effective in terms of students' understanding of mathematical concepts. Keywords: cooperative, effectiveness, two stay two stray, understanding of mathematical concepts

Abstract

Based on the observation at VIIB class of junior high school Islam Kebumen Tanggamus in academic years 2012/2013 known that the student?s activity and achievement are low. It is caused by the implementation the uninovative learning model. This action research aims to improve students activities and achievements by cooperative learning model of STAD type. The research was done in there cycles and subject is sudents at VIIB of Junior High  School Islam Kebumen Tanggamus that is consist of 37 students. Each cycle consits of four steps, that are planning, implementating, observating and reflecting. The techniques of data colection are observation and test. Based on research result, it is concluded that cooperative learning model type STAD can improve the student?s activity and  achievemnet in Junior High School Islam Kebunem Tanggamus. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan pada siswa kelas VIIB SMP Islam Kebumen Tanggamus Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013, aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dalam  proses pembelajaran masih rendah. Hal ini disebabkan kurang efektifnya model yang digunakan guru untuk melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut dilakukan penelitian tindakan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam tiga siklus, dengan subjek penelitian kelas VIIB SMP Islam Kebumen Tanggamus yang berjumlah 37 siswa, terdiri dari 16 laki-laki dan 21 perempuan. Setiap siklusnya terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data adalah observasi  dan tes. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model kooperatif tipe STAD dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar  matematika siswa SMP Islam Kebumen Tanggamus.Kata kunci: aktivitas, hasil belajar, kooperatif tipe STAD, matematika

Abstract

This research used posttest only control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2016/2017. Through purposive and random sampling technique, 2 classes were taken as the samples. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that problem based learning model was effective in terms of students critical thinking ability and self confidence.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self confidence siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Melalui teknik gabungan yaitu teknik purposive dan random sampling, 2 kelas diambil sebagai sampel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa model problem based learning efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self confidence siswa.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, problem based learning, self confidence
