Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the influence of cooperative learning model type think pair share (TPS) toward student?s mathematical conceptual understanding. Design used in this study was a posttest only control grup design. The populations in this study are all students in 7th Grade of SMPN 3 batanghari in the academic year 2012/2013. The sample are class VII.1 and VII.2 choosed by used was cluster random sampling. Data techniques collection using mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on the result of hipotesis test by using t-test, the average of student?s mathematical conceptual understanding at class using cooperative learning type TPS is more than the average of student?s mathematical conceptual understanding that of using conventional learning. So, it was concluded that the cooperative learning type of TPS there was influence of increasing mathematical conceptual understanding of student.Keywords: cooperatif Learning model type Think Pair Share (TPS), mathematical conceptual understanding.

Abstract

Mind Mapping is  one of learning method where the student have to reveal the core concept, so they will have creative thingking ability by connecting all concept. This research come to know the influence Mind Mapping method condisered by student?s mathematical conceptual understanding. The sample of this research were VII B as experiment class and VII A as control class. That was acuired by purposive sapling technique. The design research was postest only control group design. Based on research result, it was concluded that mind mapping method has influence considered by student?s mathematical conceptual understanding.Keywords: Mind Mapping Method Learning, Understanding of mathematical concept.

Abstract

This research was a quasi experiment is aimed to know about the influence of cooperative learning method application to cooperative script method about understanding of student is mathematical concept.  The research design was pos-tes only.  Research population was the whole of eight-class student in second semester of metro three state Junior High Schoolin academic year of 2012/2013 by the samples VIII A and VIII B that were chosen from six classes by cluster random sampling method.  The data of research was student?s mathematical concept understanding and character.  According to the data analyisis result, it was obtained that the average of student?s mathematical concept understanding, and the achievement of behavior character and student?s social skill in cooperative learning model to cooperative script method were better than conventional learning.  The conclusion of research is the cooperative learning model with cooperative script method are better applied to the understanding of student?s mathematical concept.Keyword: Cooperative Script, mathematical concept

Abstract

Applied learning by teachers greatly affect the success of students in learning.  The low learning and activity  outcomes are not indication yet optimal learning. This research is   the PTK aimed to improve learning and activity  outcomes math class VIII / 4 SMP Kosgoro 1 Bandar Sri Bhawono East Lampung semester Academic Year 2012/2013, through Mathematic Realistic Approach. Action is  conducted in three cycles, each cycle including: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data were collected through observation of student activity at each meeting and learning outcomes gained through the end of each test cycle. Based on data analysis results of this research note that an increase in the percentage of students active and learning outcomes in each cycle. Percentage of students active continuted in Cycle I, II, III was 51.35%, 69.44% and 81.08%. Percentage of students who pass the learning continuted cycle I, II, III was 51.35%, 66.66% and 78.37%. From these results it can be concluded that the application of PMR in learning can increase student, activity and the result of mathematic learning class VII1 / 4 SMP Kosgoro 1 Bandar Sri Bhawono Odd Semester Academic Year 2012/2013.Keywords: Mathematics Realistic Approach, Activities, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of model Problem Based Learning (PBL) in terms of student?s mathematical prolem solving. The research design was posttets control design.  The population in this study were all seven grade students of SMPN 1 Jati Agung in the academic year 2012/2013 and the sample of this research are student of class VII-A and VII-D randomly selected from four class there. Based on the data analysis, found that the average of student?s mathematical problem solving in PBL is higher than conventional learning and student learning completeness more than 50%.   The conclusion that can be draw from this research is that model PBL is effective in terms of student?s mathematical problem solving ability.Key words: Effectiveness, PBL, Mathematical Problem Solving

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together dengan pembelajaran konvensional terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pre-test post-test control design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester ganjil SMP Negeri 5 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013 dan sebagai sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII B dan VIII D yang dipilih dari enamkelas secara acak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata pemahaman konsep matematis siswa, ketuntasan belajar siswa, dan pencapaian perilaku berkarakter dan keterampilan sosial siswa yang mengikuti model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih baik daripadapembelajaran konvensional. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT lebih efektif diterapkan terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata Kunci: Efektivitas, NHT, Pemahaman Konsep Matematis

Abstract

This quasi-experimental study aimed to determine the effectivity of the CTL approach with conventional learning toward student's mathematical problem solving ability.  Design used in this study was a post-test only control design.  The population in this study are all student?s in 7th Grade of SMPN 26 Bandar Lampung in the academic year 2012/2013.  The sample are  all student?s of class VII-B and VII-C choosed by using purposive sampling.  Based on the result of hipotesis test, the average of student?s mathematical problem solving ability and student?s mastery learning at class using CTL approach is more than that of using conventional learning in the significant level 5%. So, it was concluded that the CTL approach effective to enhance student?s mathematical problem solving ability.Keywords: Effectivity, CTL Approach, Mathematical Problem Solving

Abstract

This apparent experiment supposes to know the comparison in a result of student learning between two types of cooperate learning, vice Think Pair Share and Think Talk Write and the design used is posttest control design.  The population included is the all of student in VIII class at SMP Negeri 5 Terbanggi Besar, Lampung Tengah and sampel researching is student of VIII D and VIII F class. Which is gotten from comparing two classes of eight classes in purposive sampling, that is using consideration the result of final axamination in odd semester.  The data is come from giving such as test toward the student.  According to the data analized using uji-t, with taraf nyata 5% obtained that the result of student learning in using cooperative TPS way is as same as TTW type in a result, the application of cooperative TPS and TTW types can be one of alternatives in learning procession. So that there is no different thing of learning result both of that moddle.Key Word : Think Pair Share, Think Talk Write,The Learning Result

Abstract

Learning  done by the teacher is impacted on students? learning success. Based on the experienced of learning in VIIIA class of SMP Negeri 1 Natar, the teacher is one of the sole source of information and learning dominate, resulting in low activity and the success of students? studying mathematics. Action research is done to improve the activity and success of students? mathematics learning through cooperative learning model type NHT. The measures are implemented in three cycles, each cycle consist of four meetings. The instruments used to collect the data in this study are in the form of students? sheets activity, field notes, and tests. The tests are conducted each end of the cycle to determine the success of students? mathematics studying. The analysis showed that the percentage of the activities and mathematics learning outcomes of each cycle are increased from cycle to cycle up to the third cycle. The conclusion of this study is the use of cooperative learning model NHT type can increase the activities and the success of mathematic learning the students of VIIIA SMP Negeri 1 Natar South Lampung.Keywords: Cooperative learning NHT type, activity, learning outcomes.

Design used in this study was a posttest only control design.The population in this study are all students in 8th Grade of SMPN 3 Batanghari in the academic year 2012/2013 that having low mathematical conceptual understanding. The sample are class VIII.2 and VIII.5 choosed by using purposive random sampling. Data techniques collection uses mathematical conceptual understanding test. Based on the result of hipotesis test, the average of student?s mathematical conceptual understanding at class using contextual approach is more than that of using conventional learning in the significant level 5%. So, it was concluded that the contextual approach there influences mathematical conceptual understanding of student.Keywords: contextual approach, mathematical conceptual understanding.
