Abstract

High diversity of plant in University of Jember caused a safe, healthy, and beautiful environment. Almost all the plant are Spermatophyta and have woody form. Spermatophyta is a group of plant that has seed as the main characteristic. The woody plant (arbo) is a plant that has stem from wood, big form, and various type. This research aimed to know the kinds of Spermatophyta around Jember University. This research was included as a qualitative descriptive research, which is carried to drawing, interpretating and describing data systematically, factual, and accurate about the facts and the characteristics of Spermatophyta around of University of Jember. The research design contained location the selection of research location, sample and picture taking, and plant identifying. The method of sample taking was cruise. There were 4.644 of Spermatophyta that already found, that contained 80 species and grouped on 32 families. These families were Anacardiaceae, Annonaceae, Apocynaceae, Araucariaceae, Arecaceae, Bignoniaceae, Burseraceae, Calophyllaceae, Casuarinaceae, Combretaceae, Cupressaceae, Ebenaceae, Euphorbiaceae, Fabaceae, Flacourtiaceae, Gnetaceae, Lamiaceae, Lauraceae, Lecythidaceae, Lythraceae, Magnoliaceae, Malvaceae, Meliaceae, Moraceae, Muntingiaceae, Myrtaceae, Oxalidaceae, Phyllanthaceae, Pinaceae, Rubiaceae, Sapindaceae, and Sapotaceae. Abstract

Abstract.Problem based learning is a learning model that uses a problem as a first step in learning to develop thinking abilities, problem solving and intellectual abilities. The study aimed to know the developing of proccess of problem based learning materials and to increase of the student achievements after using problem based learning material on enviromental contamination subject for tenth grade senior high school Grujugan Bondowoso. The research included research development that based on 4-D models by Thiagarajan and Semmel (1974,) but it is restricted in the3-D step (define, design, develop). There searchuses 7 validators to assess the books quality, 19 students in a small group (XI IPA 2 class) and 29 students in a large group (X.1 class). Data obtained from students and teachers questionnaires, validator sheets, questionnaires of the legitility and difficulty level, pretest, post test questionnaires, teacher’s activity, student’s activity, and students responses. The result of this research showed that problem based learning material has valid with 85,63%, questionnaires of the legitility and difficulty level has valid with 86,05%, teacher’s activity with 97,72%, student’s activity with 83,39%, students response get positive response with 91,80% and improving student’s achievement by 32,30%. Abstract

Abstract.Inqury approach is considered to be able to improve student’s intellectual potentially informulates the problem, making hypothesis, collecting the data, testing the hypothesis, and making conclusions. This research intended to know the  quality of inquiry-based student book that have been developed and toincrease the student achievementsafter uses inquiry-based student bookon the pollution and environmental damage subject for VII grade of state junior high school 1 Maesan Bondowoso. This research refered to Borg and Gall model, but it is restricted untilthe seventh step (research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing, operational product revision). This research used 5 validators to assess the quality of the book and, 12 students in preliminary field testing and 21 students in main field testing. Data obtained from student and teacher questionnaires, validator sheets, questionnaires of the legitility and difficulty level, pretest, postest and student’s response questionnaires. The result of this research showed that inquiry-based student book can improve average of student achievements by 25,90. Abstract

Abstract : Teaching and learning activities using SPPKB conducted dialogically between teacher and students. Synargetic Teaching is a strategy that involves two different ways and activities. In synergetic teaching, the class is divided into two major groups (group A and group B), respectively - each class will be separated and occupy different classrooms. In each group will be given different strategies or methods. In the present study, group A were given lessons using the discussion method and group B which was in a different classroom with the group A treated by using learning strategy improved the ability to think. After completion of learning activities in the two groups finished, group A and group B will be merged into a single class and pairs back - paired (one student from group A and one other student from group B), students who have been paired will exchange their learning experiences with each other exchanging remarks and explain what each of them obtained from the learning activities they do in their groups – respectively. Classes that used as the experiment is the class 8D and class that used to control is a class 8C. Data analysis was performed using ANAKOVA test. ANAKOVA test results for pre-test and post-test shows that the improvement of learning strategies using synergetic teaching thinking skills has a probability (P) <0.05, and the test results INDEPENDENT SAMPLE T-TEST on the results of student learning activities indicate the probability (P) <0.05. Gain Value test is used to see the effectiveness, the effectiveness of the experiment class learning strategy improved the ability to think using synergetic teaching on learning outcomes of student is 76.324% which into the high category and grade control using conventional methods (discussion) is 58.427%, which into the normal category. Can be conluded that learning strategy for improving the ability to think using synergetic teaching effectively can improve the learning outcomes and activities of students. Abstract

Hasil observasi awal menunjukkan bahwa guru menggunakan metode ceramah. Metode ini menjadikan guru sebagai pusat pembelajaran sehingga siswa cenderung hanya mendengarkan tanpa adanya stimulus yang mendorong interaksi antar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Strategi pembelajaran yang mampu mendorong siswa untuk berinteraksi dan aktif dalam pembelajaran adalah strategi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dan metode praktikum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode praktikum dan strategi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) pada Mata Pelajaran IPA-Biologi sub bahasan Struktur dan Fungsi Jaringan pada Tumbuhan dan Fotosintesis kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Jelbuk Jember. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan kolaborasi dalam rangkaian kegiatan (plan, do, dan see). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dan masing-masing siklus terdiri dari dua pertemuan. Dalam penelitian ini analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif.. Data yang dianalisis pada penelitian ini antara lain aktivitas dan hasil belajar IPA Biologi yang diperoleh dari hasil pembelajaran melalui penerapan metode praktikum dan strategi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE). Penilaian meliputi penilaian aktivitas siswa, hasil belajar ranah kognitif, psikomotor dan afektif siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode praktikum dan startegi Rotating Trio Exchange (RTE) dapat meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa. Pada aktivitas bertanya dan menjawab pertanyaan mencapai nilai 85, bekerjasama 87, diskusi 90,75, dan menyampaikan pendapat 81. Hasil belajar siswa ranah kognitif juga mengalami peningkatan dari rerata nilai 62,5 pada pra siklus mencapai nilai 73 pada siklus I dan 81,15 pada siklus II. Abstract

Tujuan kurikulum 2013 yaitu pada pencapaian kompetensi dalam pembelajaran yang menunjang keberhasilan proses pembelajaran. Perencanaan tujuan yang dilakukan dengan mengembangkan bahan ajar pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kurikulum 2013 pada materi dunia tumbuhan (Plantae). Pengembangan bahan ajar pembelajaran berbasis model Problem Based Learning (PBL) yang pembelajarannya berfokus pada masalah. Pengembangan bahan ajar dikembangkan dengan tahapan model pengembangan Dick & Carey yang terdiri dari delapan tahapan. Produk bahan ajar dengan nilai validasi buku siswa 3,5 dengan kategori valid. Hasil uji tingkat keterbacaan dan kesulitan buku siswa sebesar 85,19 %. Hasil aktivitas siswa sebesar 76,13%, kenaikan nilai kognitif sebesar 65,4 %, nilai afektif rata-rata sebesar 78%, nilai psikomotor sebesar 98,95% dan hasil angket respon siswa sebesar 87,63%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dikatakan bahwa pengembangan bahan ajar pembelajaran biologi sudah baik dan mampu diterapkan pada pembelajaran di kelas. Abstract

One of learning models that can involve the active student in the learning process is Learning Cycle (4E). The results obtained by applying the Learning Cycle (4E) method is the increase of the activity of learning, in pre-cycle the result obtained 53,14% (less active criteria) increased to 62,08% (quite active criteria) in tha first cycle and in the second cycle increased to 75,38% (active criteria). The results obtained in the classical learning increased in pre-cycle (6.67%), to the first cycle (43.33%) and the second cycle (70%), then the aspects of affective is 75.33% in the first cycle, and increased in the second cycle to 77.46%. In the psychomotor aspects it raise to 71,67% that increase in the first cycle meeting 2 and increased to 77,5% in the second cycle of the meeting 2. So we can know that Learning Cycle (4E) method can improve the activities and the outcome of learning process based on the results. Abstract

Abstract. PAIKEM is a learning approach colaborated with PQ4R strategy it can transfer the student understanding from short-term memory into there long-term memory through reading activity in such way the learning atmosphere became innovative, creative, effective, fun. The purpose of this research was to increase students learning activity and achievement in XI IPA 2 MAN Genteng. The research is Classroom Action Research. The result showed that learning activity from pre-cycle to the first cycle increased 21.91% and from cycle I to cycle II increased 7,24%. Achievement from pre-cycle to the cycle I also increased 9,06 and from cycle I to cycle II increased 12.75. It can be concluded that PAIKEM with PQ4R strategy can be used to improved students learning activity and achievement in Biology lesson.
