Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemajuan belajar siswa pada materi geometri transformasi yang didukung dengan serangkaian aktivitas belajar berdasarkan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia. Penelitian didesain melalui tiga tahap, yaitu tahapan perancangan desain awal, pengujian desain melalui pembelajaran awal dan pembelajaran eksperimental, dan tahap analisis retrospektif. Dalam penelitian ini, Hypothetical Learning Trajectory, HLT (HLT) berperan penting sebagai desain pembelajaran sekaligus instrumen penelitian. HLT diujikan terhadap 26 siswa kelas VII. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara, pengamatan, dan catatan lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa desain pembelajaran ini mampu menstimulasi siswa untuk memberikan karakteristik refleksi dan transformasi geometri lainnya secara informal, mengklasifikasikannya dalam transformasi isometri pada level kedua, dan menemukan garis bantuan refleksi pada level yang lebih formal. Selain itu, garis bantuan refleksi digunakan oleh siswa untuk menggambar bayangan refleksi dan pola pencerminan serta memahami bentuk rotasi dan translasi sebagai kombinasi refleksi adalah level tertinggi. LEARNING PROGRESS ON TRANSFORMATION GEOMETRY USING THE GEOMETRY REFLECTION ACTIVITIES Abstract: This study was aimed at describing the students? learning progress on transformation geometry supported by a set of learning activities based on Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education. The study was designed into three stages, that is, the preliminary design stage, the design testing through initial instruction and experiment, and the restrospective analysis stage. In this study, Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) played an important role as an instructional design and a research instrument. HLT was tested to 26 seventh grade students. The data were collected through interviews, observations, and field notes. The findings of the study showed that this instructional design could stimulate students to provide reflection characteristics and other transformation geometry informally, to classify them in the transformation isometry in the second level, and to find the reflection supporting line in the more formal level. In addition, the reflection supporting line was used by the students to draw the reflection image and the mirroring pattern and to understand the rotation and translation shapes as a combination of reflection at the highest level. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas, prosedur, dan strategi serta perubahan dari Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) ke Learning Trajectory (LT) dalam merumuskan aturan sinus dan cosinus melalui pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PMRI (Pembelajaran Matematika Realistik Indonesia). Subjek penelitian ini adalah 38 siswa kelas X1 SMAN 6 Prabumulih. Penelitian ini terdiri atas tiga tahap, yaitu preliminary design, design experiment (pilot experiment dan teaching experiment), dan retrospective analysis. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi kegiatan pembelajaran, wawancara, rekaman video, dan foto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa menggunakan segitiga sebagai starting point dalam merumuskan aturan sinus dan cosinus melalui PMRI. Perubahan dari Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) ke Learning Trajectory (LT) terjadi melalui aktivitas siswa dalam mengeksplorasi segitiga dalam pembelajaran dengan pendekatan PMRI.Kata kunci: aturan sinus dan aturan cosinus, segitiga, design research, PMRI

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mendeskripsikan pemahaman konsep siswa tentang operasi penjumlahan pecahan dengan model fraction circle melalui pembelajaran PMRI dan (2) mendeskripsikan lintasan belajar siswa dalam mempelajari konsep operasi penjumlahan pecahan menggunakan model fraction circle. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas 4 SD N 146 Palembang. Metode penelitian ini adalah design research melalui tahap-tahap: preparing for the experiment, teaching experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) model fraction circle membantu siswa memahami konsep operasi penjumlahan pecahan melalui pembelajaran PMRI. (2) Lintasan belajar yang digunakan siswa adalah menggunakan tahap informal ke tahap formal. Pada tahap informal, siswa menggunakan konteks kue manipulatif yang dipartisi menjadi beberapa bagian sama besar sehingga membentuk model fraction circle. Selanjutnya, siswa menyelesaikan masalah dengan menggunakan fraction circle sebagai model of menuju model for, yaitu membuat gambar fraction circle. Di tahap formal, siswa menyelesaikan operasi penjumlahan pecahan tanpa menggunakan model fraction circle.Kata kunci: pecahan, fraction circle, design research, PMRI

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan Lembar Aktivitas Mahasiswa topik Turunan berdasarkan teori APOS yang memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap pemahaman konsep matematika mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode design research tipe development study. Tahap development (pengembangan), yaitu preliminary dan formative evaluation (self evaluation, expert review, one-to-one, small group, dan field test). Subjek penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa Kelas 1C Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika FKIP Universitas PGRI Palembang semester ganjil tahun akademik 2014/2015 sebanyak 38 orang. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui walkthrough (expert reviews), dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa Lembar Aktivitas Mahasiswa yang dikembangkan memenuhi kriteria valid, praktis, dan memiliki efek potensial terhadap kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika.Kata kunci: turunan, teori APOS, development study

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan penerapan pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) di kelas VIII. SMP Azharyah Palembang yang ditinjau dari tiga aspek yaitu: aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran, respon atau sikap siswa pada pembelajaran, dan ketuntasan belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya pendekatan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitain applied reseach (penelitian penerapan) dengan menggunakan eksperimen dan survey. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan observasi, angket, dan tes. Data akan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisa dan statistik presentase skor, serta tabel keefektifan penerapan pendekatan. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa keefektifan penerapan Pendektan Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) di kelas VIII.1 SMP Azharyah Palembang yang ditinjau dari tiga aspek yaitu aktivitas siswa, respon atau sikap siswa, dan ketuntasan belajar siswa diperoleh KPP (Keefektifan Penerapan Pendekatan) adalah 88,57% dengan kategori ?Sangat Efektif?. Kata Kunci: Penerapan, PMRI, Pelajaran Matematika Application of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (PMRI) in Relation and Function Method in Class VIII SMP Azharyah Palembang AbstractThis study aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach in class VIII. Palembang Azharyah Middle School which is viewed from three aspects: student activity during learning, student response or attitude to learning, and student learning completeness after the application of Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) approach. This research is an applied research study using experiments and surveys. Collecting data in this study using observations, questionnaires, and tests. Data will be analyzed using analysis techniques and percentage score statistics, as well as a table on the effectiveness of the application of the approach. The results of this study indicate that the effectiveness of the application of the Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (PMRI) in class VIII.1 of Azharyah Middle School Palembang in terms of three aspects namely student activity, response or attitudes of students, and completeness of student learning obtained by KPP (Effectiveness of the Approach to Application) is 88,57% with the category "Very Effective".Keywords: Application, PMRI, Math Lesson

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to show open-ended questions about surface area and beam volume which valid and practice, have potential effect. This research is research development which consists of two main phases: preliminary phase (preparation phase and problem design) and formative evaluation phase (evaluation and revision phases). The objective of the study is the students of VIII.2 class of Junior High School 55 Palembang. The result of the study got 9 questions open-ended of surface area and beam volume materials which valid and practical. In addition, there was the potential effect of students' mathematical ability on the open-ended questions that have been given. The result of open-ended problem in the concept potential effect was 77,53%, reasoning ability was 59,79%, the communication ability was 57,02%, and problem solving ability was 67,01 %.DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.22342/jme.9.1.4640.157-168

Abstract

This study aimed to create mathematical problems of uncertainty and data contents in PISA using aquatic context that were valid, practical and had the potential effect. This study was design research of development study. The subjects in this study were 10th-grade students of Indo Global Mandiri senior high school in Palembang consisting of 20 students. Data were gathered through interviews, observation, and tests. The results of data analysis showed that there were eight valid and practical items of PISA type of uncertainty and data contents. The contents obtained using bicycles and aquatic contexts in Asian Games. The 11 out of 20 students showed reasoning skills and reasonable arguments, and 9 out of 20 students showed reasoning skills and discussions but incomplete. It was because they were not used to solving PISA type problems in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to clarify the role of making kemplang can help students understand the concept of number patterns, and generate Learning Trajectory. The methodology used in this research is the design of the research by the research subject class IX students of SMP Negeri 2 South Indralaya, Ogan Ilir, South Sumatra. Researchers designing learning activities that sensing, drafting kemplang class simulated using circular paper prepared by the researcher. Exploration proportional situations using everyday life issues are close to students' lives, such as creating kemplang can make students more interested in learning mathematics and easily understand the math problems are given. Collecting data in this study using video, observation, written tests, documentation and records during the activity. Abstract

Solving mathematics contextual problems  is one way that can be used to enable students to have the skills needed to live in the 21st century. Completion contextual  problem  requires a series of steps in order to properly answer the questions that are asked. The purpose of this study was to determine the steps performed students in  solving contextual mathematics problem. The results showed that 75% students can not solve contextual mathematics problems precisely (unfinished). Students stop and feel that it was completed when they are able to solve problems mathematically, but mathematal solution has not answered the requested context.Keyword: Mathematics Problem, Contextual, 21st Century, Unfinished.

Abstract

Understanding of measuring time has difficulty for children because it is intangible.  Standar units  often  use directly by teacher for learning time measurement. Many researches involved game in designing learning material to facilitate fun and meaningful learning for children. For this reason,  learning of time measurement that connect  with children’s daily experience was designed. The context of this research was traditional gasing game. The  study  is  situated  in  implementation of  Indonesian  version  of Realistic  Mathematics  Education,  labeled  as  PMRI.  This research aimed acquire  learning trajectory of time measurement using traditional gasing game for the third grader of primary school  by describing students’  progress in learning.  Design research methodology comprising preparing for the experiment, teaching experiment, and retrospective analysis was used. The research was conducted in SD (Sekolah Dasar) Pusri (Pupuk Sriwijaya) Palembang as one of PMRI (Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia) school. The result of the teaching experiment showed that learning design could foster students to experience reinvention of time measurement historically.  It stimulated students to emerge their sense of time, measure time using non standar unit, understand the concept of standard unit, and measure time using standar unit. Students’ strategies that were emerged showed students’progress through  situation and problems that were provided by traditional gasing game.  Keyword: time measurement, gasing, design research, PMRI
