Abstract

Education is the right for every Indonesian citizens, include the education for children with special needs (disability). Every parents who has child like this has aproblem in looking for special schools in order to give a good education for theirchildren for their child. It becomes a dilemma for every parents to send their child tothe special school or public school. The purpose of this research to figure howactions of parents in educating children on inclusive education services, as well as todescribe the actions of parents in educating children with special needs in inclusiveschool SDN 1 Tanjung, Purwokerto. This research was done in Purwokerto, precisely at SDN 1 Tanjung. This study usesqualitative method with case study strategy. The sampling technique used waspurposive sampling technique, the main informants were parents of students withspecial needs in SDN 1 Tanjung. Data collection techniques used in this study is indepthinterviews, indirect observation technique (Non-participatory observation)and document analysis techniques. The validity of the data in this study include source triangulation, triangulation method and review the informant. In this study,the interactive model was used for the analysis of the data. The results showed that there are internal and external factors that influence theactions of parents who have child with special needs in determining education fortheir children. In addition, parentsactalsodivided intofourtypesofactionasdictatedbyMaxWeber. These actionsareinstrumentalrationalaction,whichactsasa parenthas hopesand dreamsfor their children, sotheysend theirchildren topublicschoolsthatprovideformaleducationinclusive. Action secondly isrational action gets value orientation, which is action which done by parent bymerges ethical points, esthetic and religious in its child education that gets specialneeds. Third act is afektif action which is action which done by parent because moodor feel, severally parent gets that assumption its child doesn't child get specialneeds, they finally are opting school by service inclusive education thanextraordinary school. The last act is traditional action where parent school its childbecause vicinity environment charge. Abstract

Pandeyan is a village in Boyolali Regency adjacent bordering directly on Solo Municipal. Such the condition encourages the society to have a variety of school choices. The variety of school choices existing in Solo City encourages the society in Pandeyan Village to enroll their children in Solo City. This research aimed to describe the parents’ decisionconsideration in Determining Basic Education for Children in Pandeyan Village, NgemplakSubdistrict, Boyolali Regency using Weber’s social action theory.This study was a descriptive qualitative research with descriptive research strategy. The data sources of research were informant, archive, and document. The sampling technique used in this research was purposive sampling, selecting the individuals involved directly in decision making to determine primary education in Pandeyan Village thereby providing the information and data in in-depth manner as well as reliable to be the data source. Techniques of collecting data used in this research were in-depth interview and observation. Source triangulation technique was used to obtain data concerning the parents’ decision in determining basic education for children as well as to validate the data, while the analysis was conducted using a descriptive analysis.The result of research found three findings: the first was basic education for children, the parent’s perception on education for children become the rationale in acquiring better education. The second was consideration in determining basic education for children encompassing school, social-economic and children considerations. School consideration was based on the school service involving facility and learning services. Social-economic consideration was based on the compatibility of cost to the service for children. Children consideration was based on the children psychology reflected on their interest and willingness. The third was that parents’ decision in determining basic education for the children was the result of parent, social-economic and children considerations in turn becoming the determinant of parent’s action in determining basic (primary) education. The actions emerging in parent’s decision were among other: Instrumental rationality (Zwerkrationalitat) or parent’s decision in choosing school by seeing the quality of school generally, value-oriented rationality (Werkrationalitat) or the parent’s decision in choosing school by seeing religious and academic values as the main foundation, Affective action (Affectival Action) or the parent’s decision in choosing school by seeing children psychology, traditional action or the parent’s submission to receiving strength and weakness as the way they are. Keywords: Decision Making, Social Action, Education Sociology.

Abstract

Student deliquency is a deviant behavior by students that plaguing thesociety. The purposes of this research were to determine how the forms ofstudent deliquency, the caused factors and the efforts to address studentdelinquency in single parent family in first state SMA of Girimarto. Theresearch method was used descriptive case study. The theory used is theHerbert Blummer’s symbolic interactionism theory. The results showed thatthe forms of student delinquency in a single parent family in first state SMA ofGirimarto are sociological delinquency and individual delinquency. Thecaused factor is children inside and outside factor that is single parent families.Efforts made by first state SMA of Girimarto in handling students delinquencyin single parent families are includes of spiritual building, support grouptherapy, application of school rules were tightened, teens posyandu, lesson inKinanthi song and to their parents for guidance and supervision.Keywords: Delinquency, families, single parent, students.

Abstract

Chinese culture is one of the oldest in the world. Chinese people have many interesting culture from their ancestor which they keep to preserved until today, and one of it is the making of bong pay. Bong pay is a tomb which a Chinese people called it, is a construction that build on top of the grave give a meaning that somebody has died. For Chinese people, bong pay is not just a sign but also have another hidden symbolic meaning. The purpose of this research is (1) to describe the meaning of Bong Pay to Chinese descendent at  Village Sudiroprajan of Surakarta, (2) describe the shift thing of bong pay meaning at present.This research is using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach to obtain the source of information and data from descendants. The samples that had been taken were 4 people of Chinese descendants from Sudiroprajan village. The sampling technique is using purposive sampling. The data source that being used primary data that included the informant, places and the research location which is Sudiroprajan village. Another research is secondary which is data or records that supporting this research.The results of this research is (1) Chinese descendent people give a meaning to bong pay is a prove of love and respect to ancestor because ancestry is most glorifield in Confucianism, to Christian Chinese descent is a sign that a person has died not forgotten. As symbolic bong pay is describe as prestige ad social status for someone  has died, because it’s take a lot of money to make it. Bong pay is given meaning as a symbol of identity because it can be identified with culture and tradition of Chinese. (2) there is shifting on the meaning of bong pay at the present. It happen because the changing of the religion from Chinese descendent people. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the social practices of traders in Boyolali Sunggingan Market. The location of this research was conducted in the Sunggingan Market, Boyolali Sub-District, Boyolali Regency, with the reason that until now it still maintained the interaction pattern of conventional buying and selling.This research is a qualitative research with phenomenology method. Data collection techniques come from interviews with the main data sources, namely market traders, Sunggingan market services and indigenous people around the Sunggingan market. While other data comes from observation and documentation. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling. Test data validity using source and method triangulation. The analysis technique uses an interactive data analysis model that is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is social capital and culture of traders in the market very important role in the way of surviving traders trade in the market that establishes a merchant habitus itself. Sunggingan Market as a form of arena for traders to compete for their habitus.The conclusion of this study is that Sunggingan Market plays a central role in meeting the needs of the middle to lower class economy.Keywords: traders, Sunggingan market, social practicesAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk menggambarkan praktik sosial pedagang di Pasar Sunggingan Boyolali. Lokasi penelitian ini dilakukan di Pasar Sunggingan Kecamatan Boyolali Kabupaten Boyolali, dengan alasan sampai saat ini masih mempertahankan pola interaksi jual beli konvensional. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Teknik pengumpulan data berasal dari wawancara dengan sumber data utama yaitu pedagang pasar, dinas pasar Sunggingan dan warga masyarakat asli sekitar pasar Sunggingan. Sedangkan data lainnya bersumber dari observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Uji validitas data menggunakan trianggulasi sumber dan metode. Teknik analisis menggunakan model analisis data interaktif yakni pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat modal sosial dan budaya pedagang di pasar sangat berperan penting dalam cara bertahan pedagang berdagang di pasar yang membetuk suatu habitus pedagang itu sendiri. Pasar Sunggingan sebagai bentuk arena wahana pedagang untuk bersaing demi mendapatkan habitusnya. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah Pasar Sunggingan berperan sentral dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan masyarakat kelas ekonomi menengah ke bawah. Kata Kunci: pedagang, pasar Sunggingan, praktik sosial
