Abstract

In LTE Network, users can move freely in the network through fast and seamless handover (HO). This research focuses on intra-LTE handover which occurs using interface X2 to move an EU between two eNBs, i.e. source eNB and target eNB without any changes in MME and SGW at EPC level. Two popular algorithms of intra-LTE handover namely A2-A4-RSRQ and A3-RSRP were evaluated and compared through simulations as well as direct measurements in the field. Simulation is conducted using NS3 simulation tool where performances of various scenarios from both algorithms were evaluated. The performance metrics studied include the average number of HOs that occur, throughput and optimized ratio. Simulations carried out for various scenarios in term of EU numbers, user speeds, and channel conditions. In addition, the results of one-month measurement of three eNBs were also presented. The measurement results are then compared and used to verify the simulation results. Furthermore, by using the optimizing ratio metric, the optimal pair of parameter values of Threshold as well as Offset and Handover Margin (HOM) along with Time-to-Trigger (TTT) are sought for the A2-A4-RSRQ and A3-RSRP respectively.

Abstract

Internet congestion occurs when resource demands exceeds the network capacity. But, it is not the only reason. Congestion can happen on some users because some others user has higher sending rate. Then some users with lower sending rate will experience congestion. This partial congestion is caused by inexactly feedback. At this moment congestion are solved by the involvement of two controlling mechanisms. These mechanisms are flow/congestion control in the TCP source and Active Queue Management (AQM) in the router. AQM will provide feedback to the source a kind of indication for the occurrence of the congestion in the router, whereas the source will adapt the sending rate appropriate with the feedback. These mechanisms are not enough to solve internet congestion problem completely. Therefore, this paper will explain internet congestion causes, weakness, and congestion control technique that researchers have been developed. To describe congestion system mechanisms and responses, the system will be simulated by Matlab.

Abstract

Router Assisted Congestion Control (RACC) was designed to improve endto- end congestion control performance by using prior knowledge on network condition. However, the traditional Internet does not provide such information, which makes this approach is not feasible to deliver. Our paper addresses this network information deficiency issue by proposing a new congestion control method that works on the Software Defined Network (SDN) framework. We call this proposed method as PACEC (Path Associativity Centralized Congestion Control). In SDN, global view of the network information contains the network topology including link properties (i.e., type, capacity, power consumption, etc.). PACEC uses this information to determine the feedback signal, in order for the source to start sending data at a high rate and to quickly reach fair-share rate. The simulation shows that the efficiency and fairness of PACEC are better than Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) and Rate Control Protocol (RCP).

Abstract

This study focuses on communications strategy post-service-follow-up which is comprehensive with the tools of new media that is able to read quickly and accurately what the customers need and also to determine the level of quality owned by a company. The aims of this research are to find out how the communication strategy is built to improve the quality the results of the service and to know how the email acts as hot alert to determine policy post-service-follow-up. This research is carried out by the case study method and the data gathered from in-depth interviews, observation and document company. The result is built to improve the quality of the service is to make every customer's voice sent directly through email serves as hot alert to the relevant officials immediately responded with improvement activities so that the problem can be quickly resolved. The quality of service can also be increased. The result is made in the form of new measures to ensure that similar events will not be repeated.Keywords: post-service-follow-up, email, hot alert

Abstract

Routing protocol and congestion control in Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) have important roles in wireless mobile network performance. In wireless communication, the stability of the path and successful data transmission will be influenced by the channel condition. This channel condition constraints come from path loss and the multipath channel fading. With these constraints, the algorithm in the routing protocol and congestion control is confronted with the uncertainty of connection quality and probability of successful packet transmission, respectively. It is important to investigate the reliability and robustness of routing protocol and congestion control algorithms in dealing with such situation.  In this paper, we develop a detailed approach and analytical throughput performance with a cross layer scheme (CLS) between routing and congestion control mechanism based on signal to noise ratio (SNR) in Rician and Rayleigh as multipath fading channel. We proposed joint routing and congestion control TCP with a cross layer scheme model based on SNR (RTCP-SNR). We compare the performance of RTCP-SNR with conventional routing-TCP and routing-TCP that used CLS with routing aware (RTCP-RA) model. The analyses and the simulation results showed that RTCP-SNR in a multipath channel outperforms conventional routing-TCP and RTCP-RA.

Abstract

Electrically conductive nanocomposites polymer of poly(vinyl alcohol)/PVA, glutaraldehyde (GA) and multiwalled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) has been successfully synthesized. The polymer nanocomposites were prepared by mixing PVA, GA (crosslinker), and MWCNT dispersion with an aid of ultrasonic homogenizer at 50 °C. The content of MWCNT, in particular, was varied in order to determine the effect of MWCNT on electrical conductivity of polymer composites. The polymer mixture was casted into a disc to obtain thin film. The electrical conductivity, surface morphology, and mechanical properties of the composites film were investigated by means of four probes method, FTIR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, SEM, AFM, and tensile strength measurement, respectively. It was found that the optimum composition of PVA (10%): GA (1%): MWCNT (1%) was 20:20:3 in volume ratio. The addition of MWCNT induced the electrically conductive network on polymer matrix where the electrical conductivity of nanocomposites film significantly increased up to 8.28 x 10-2 S/sq due to reduction of the contact resistance between conductive filler. Additionally, the mechanical strength of nanocomposites polymer were significantly increased as a result of MWCNT addition. Modification of morphological structure of composite film as indicated by FTIR spectra, X-ray diffraction patterns, SEM, and AFM images verified the effective MWCNT filler network in the polymer matrix.

Abstract

Pendugaan nilai-nilai tahanan jenis batuan menggunakan metode Schlumberger merupakan pendekatan yang efektif untuk menduga kondisi batuan bawah permukaan. Penggunaan teknik interpolasi danpengelompokkan nilai tahanan jenis lebih lanjut dapat menafsirkan kontinuitas lateral jenis batuan dan struktur geologi.Pengolahan dan pengujian secara statistik  analisis regresi berganda pada nilai tahananjenis menghasilkan enam jenis kelompok batuan, yaitu: Breksi grain supported, Tuf Lapili, Tuf Kasar, Breksi grain supported, tuf lapili, breksi matrix supported. Hasil uji korelasi pada karakter tahanan jenis keenam kelompok batuan tersebut ditemukan bahwa ada tiga sumber material yang berbeda pada saat pengendapannya. Material endapan diyakini berasal dari Gunung Parakasak, Gunung Karang dan Gunung Kamuning. Kesamaan nilai tahanan jenis pada pola berarah barat-timur menunjukkan kesamaan litologi, sedangkan kesamaan nilai tahanan jenis pada pola dengan arah utara-selatan menunjukkan nilai kontras tahanan jenis yang disebabkan oleh dua jenis sesar berarah relatif barat-timur dengan mekanisme yang berbeda.

Abstract

Seiring dengan perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi (TIK) yang telah berpengaruh besar bagi perubahan pada semua bidang khususnya untuk penyebaran, pengolahan data dan rekam medik. Salah satunya di puskemas pakuan baru kota jambi yand di mana rekam medic masih menggunakan sistem konvensional di mana pencatatan pasien masih menggunakan agenda. Dalam perancangan aplikasi ini dapat membantu kegiatan dalam pengelolaan data agar lebih aman dan efisien serta mengurangi  tingkat kesalahan  dalam melakukan pengelolaan data.

Abstract

Pengaruh teknologi dapat merubah cara transaksi dalam dunia bisnis. Masyarakat tidak ingin membuang waktu dan tenaga dalam melakukan transkasi. Hal ini membuat banyak bisnis menyediakan barang dan jasa mereka melalui internet. Euphoria Studio yang merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak dalam penyediaan jasa dokumentasi pernikahan juga ingin memanfaatkan teknologi internet untuk mempromosikan bisnisnya. Karena selama ini konsumen tidak mendapatkan informasi yang lengkap mengenai paket foto yang ada di Euphoria Studio. Selain itu permasalah lainnya adalah dalam penentuan harga terkadanghubungan kekerabatan masih menjadi bahan pertimbangan yang mengakibatkan kurang konsistennya pembayaran penuh. Dari permasalahan tersebut peniliti memberi solusi berupa sistem informasi administrasi jasa foto pernikahan berbasis web agar konsumen bisa langsung melihat informasi lengkap mengenai paket foto dan sekaligus bisa memesan secara online.
