Abstract

The oobjective of this research is to design Base Pay Compensation System that based on Person Value in order to increase internal equity within a company. Person Value determined by short of competencies possessed by a job holder that relevant to the job competency model. Through this research, each and every managerial jobs under general manager completed by a competency model defined by a panel of expert. The expert panel also determines relative value of each competency based on its importance role in supporting the company achieving the goals. Person Value of job holders was calculated based on their available competency indicated through a multi-rater approach. Finally base pay of every job holders was calculated by redistributing current company budget proportionally based on their person value. The result of this research validated through a face validity method conducted by senior management team as key stake holders of the company.

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this study are identifying and assessing the company resources and the capabilities of the company in which potential to produce a sustainable competitive advantage through resources based view analysis. Besides, it produces the alternative strategies in order to exploiting the resources and capabilities to create a competitive advantage for the company. This research is using qualitative case study method in order to explore and capture the phenomenon on the unit of analysis. The result shows that the company has 22 types of resources and 24 types of capabilities on the value chain activities of companies that have potential as a competitive advantage. The analysis uses the VRIO framework and it gives the results that the company only has a few resources and capabilities that can produces a temporary competitive advantage. Companies can achieve a sustainable competitive advantage by creating the formulation strategy through utilizing and exploiting the resources and capabilities of the companies. Keywords: resources based view, value chain, VRIO framework, formulation strategy

Abstract

There has been an increase in demand for organic products in Indonesia along with the incessant slogan of healthy living. In terms of small farmers, organic farming is proven to provide increased income, unfortunately, there is no clear system and strategy in developing organic agriculture in Indonesia. The purpose of this research was to understand the role of key stakeholders in Cisarua Horticulture Organic Farming. Stakeholder analysis used in this research to get knowledge about the actors, their behavior, relationships and their influence on decision - making processes. The information is used to develop the farm strategies, to reach the farm goals and to assess the feasibility of policy directions. The methodology used is the Soft System Methodology (SSM). SSM is an organizational process modeling method that can be used for general problem resolution and change management. Rich picture, Root definitions, and conceptual model were presented in the paper. Data were taken using focus group discussion and in-depth interviews with the farm staffs, farmers of the sustainable horticulture organic farming farm in Cisarua, Indonesia, and national organic farming association. From Stakeholders analysis, four main results were obtained: identifying the relationship among stakeholders; conflicts among them; the stakeholders? role in farm; and the stakeholders? interest towards farm program. In conclusion; focusing on one hauler only, investing in seed horticulture products, improving the quality of horticulture products, and mentoring for small-scale farmers were identified as a critical action for the strategy in the organic farming farm in Cisarua, Indonesia. The policy implications of this research are basically to see the contribution of actors in making a strategy.

Abstract

The constant change and rapid growth of the business world could create turbulence in a business organization, therefore, the business professionals have to continuously increase their skill and ability to be able to maintain the existence and even improve the condition of their business in this highly competitive world. A company would reach its optimal performance when there is an alignment between its business organization and the surrounding environment filled with no strategic gap. If good strategic planning is already in place, then the other crucial aspect to be analyzed would be the external factors outside an organization. The purpose of this is to measure and understand the behaviors and effects of those external factors towards the company through threats as well as opportunities. There are five level of environment turbulence: Repetitive, Expanding, Changing, Discontinuous and Suprising. The case study in this research concludes that all seven petrochemical companies have done a consistent and continuous strategic planning. The environment turbulence level is on two grades, Expanding and Changing, however, the most dominant is Expanding. The avarage score calculation also showing the same result, Expanding.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the influence of organizational leadership behaviors and environmental turbulence moderator on employee retention. A survey was used to collect data from various publicly listed companies in the Greater Area of Jakarta. The survey measured the perceptions on organizational leadership behaviors and business environmental turbulence. The survey questionnaire on organizational leadership behaviors was from Yukl?s model and the questionnaire on environmental turbulence was from Ansoff?s model. Fifty two questionnaires were collected by using purposive sampling technique. The Moderated Multiple Linear Regression Analysis was used for analyzing the data. The results showed that the Relations Oriented Behaviors was found to have significant positive relationship with the Employee Retention. The Environmental Turbulence significantly moderated the Relations Oriented Behaviors and affected the Employee Retention positively.   Keywords: Organizational Leadership, Environmental Turbulence, Employee Retention

Abstract

The objective of this reseach is to find out these following matters: the influence of pray essential toward the work culture, the influence of work culture toward human resource (HR) performance,  the influence of pray essential toward HR performance and the indirect influence of pray essential toward HR performance in work culture. This study takes place in Bank Muamalat Indonesia (BMI). Respondents are collected by purposive sampling method. Data collection through questionnairy with Likert scale and literature study. Data analysis used for this research is Stuctural Equation Modeling (SEM) technique. Factors of pray essence consist of 6 (six) variables, they are concentrate, understanding, respect, terrified and adore, hope for mercy and bless and embaress for carelessness. Factors of work culture are individual initiative, risk job tolerate, supervision, integration, management support, control, identity, compensation, conflict toleration and communication pattern. Factors of HR performance are job knowledge, job quality, initiative, teamwork, absence and time resource responsibility. The results show,  there is a significant influence of pray essential toward work culture, there is a significant influence of work culture toward HR performance, there is a significant influence of pray essential toward HR performance, and there is no direct influence of pray essential, based on work culture toward HR performance. By understanding the variables that influences BMI pray essential, work culture and HR performance, the stakeholders can use the information to make improvement to gain sustainaibility of business

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the training evaluation ofMDP; coveringin class training (ICT), and action learning (AL) in affecting individual performance (IP). And also to find which other factors contribute the successfulness action learning of the MDP. The object of this research was a company that implements theMDP in developing its human resources. The research was based on both primary and secondary data. The primary data were gathered from personal interviews; participants, training manager, training provider, facilitators, and participants’ supervisor. The secondary data were obtained through the training evaluation sheets, and performance appraisal. Data were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively by using SEM-PLS Smart software.  The result of this study were (1) ICT was positively and significantly affecting the AL, (2) ICT and AL do not affect the IP simultaneously, (3) Supervisor support showed as a factor in contributing successfulness of the AL. This research can be benefitted as a reference for a company to conduct the MDP training.

Abstract

This study, entitled Use of Media Integrated Social Learning Processes in Secondary School in District Paringin and South Paringin, collated by Aji Hermawan. Supervisor I: Angriani Parida, M Ed and lecturers II: The Gift of Praise Hastuti, M.Pd. The purpose of this research is in knowing the benefits of media use in the learning process of social studies in junior high school in the district Integrated Paringin and South Paringin.          The population in this study were junior high school social studies teacher in the district Integrated Paringin and South Paringin amounted to 7 teachers. The primary data obtained through observation, questionnaire or koesioner, and interviews. Secondary data was obtained from the District Education Office Balangan, Planning Balangan, junior in the district and Paringin Paringin South, the research method used in this study is a quantitative method.           The results showed that, the benefits of the media in the process of learning social studies in junior districts Integrated Paringin and South Paringin is very useful in the learning process at school Integrated Social Science.Keywords: Media, Teacher, IPS Integrated

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to gain clarity and better understanding on important determinants that contribute to the formulation of employee?s competencies in the workplace. The methodology in this study is using SEM (Structural Equation Model) with two latent variables which are: employee?s soft competency and employee?s hard competency. For each latent variable mentioned, there are several measurable indicators being identified based on theoritical framework and previous studies to be tested. The important findings are: family values, personal?s purpose of life, social environment, accessability for a mentor and formal education, all are important determinants for employee?s soft competency. While training, working experiences, clarity of job description and SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timebond) objective setting, all are important determinants for employee?s hard competency. From the goodness of fits test to conclude the best recommended model to explain the relationship between main determinants for competencies, main determinants for performance and between competencies and employee?s performance this study succesfully generate a good model which could be useful for both practicioners and researchers on their effort to find ways to further drive employee?s productivity

Abstract

Customer satisfaction research is not only carried out by the business sector but also carried out by the government in the framework of public service. Satisfaction of the people in this study was measured by five dimensions that were reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangible. This study aimed to examine the level of public satisfaction to service quality of Land Agency of Indramayu District and the dimensions of the of the satisfaction that mostly influence, which will be used as the basis for determining policy. The results obtained that the level of public satisfaction to service quality as a whole was in quite satisfied. This was indicated by the value of the average society response of 2,85 (from maximum score of 4). Meanwhile, the dimensions of peoples satisfaction that mostly influence were empathy and tangible. The amount of dimensions of empathy and tangible contribution to the satisfaction was indicated by the value of the loading factor; each dimension had a value of0,61 and 0,41 with the positive direction. It means that increasing quality of service especially in empathy and tangible dimensions will increase the public satisfaction. Several policies from these results could be taken by the Land Agency of Indramayu District, such as creating an integrated communication system, increasing the number of employees on counters, and training for employees.
