Abstract

Tanah gambut merupakan tanah organik yang secara fisik dan teknik kurang memenuhi persyaratan dan ketentuan dalam pekerjaan konstruksi, karena tanah gambut memiliki kandungan air dan kompresbilitas yang sangat tinggi serta mempunyai kapasitas dukung tanah yang rendah.Dengan berbagai alasan dan pertimbangan pekerjaan konstruksi diatas endapan gambut sering terpaksa dilakukan, terutama untuk pembangunan jalan raya.Maka salah satu cara mengatasi masalah ini perlu dilakukan perbaikan dengan cara stabilisasi tanah. Stabilisasi tanah gambut antara lain dengan mencoba menambahkan bahan campuran berupa petrasoil dan semen.Pada penelitian ini tanah gambut diambil di daerah Jalan Lintas Timur Inderalaya yang distabilisasi dan di tes menggunakan uji sifat fisis dan mekanis seperti pengujian Berat Jenis, Batas-batas Konsistensi, Analisa Saringan, Hidrometer, Pemadatan standar, California Bearing Ratio, serta Kuat geser. Variasi penambahan semen 5 %; 10 %; 15 %; 20%, sedangkan campuran petrasoil adalah dengan perbandingan (1:75). Dari hasilkadar air optimum melalui uji pemadatan, dilakukan pengujian California Beraing Ratio dan Kuat geser untuk melihat pengaruh pada setiap penambahan semen dan petrasoil terhadap tanah gambut.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perbaikan pada sifat fisis dan meningkatkan nilai California Bearing Ratio dan Kuat geser

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi beton saat ini menuju ke beton yang memiliki mutu yang tinggi dan juga memiliki kinerja tinggi (workability rendah). Beton jenis ini dikenal sebagai beton yang dapat memadat sendiri (SCC: Self Compacting Concrete) yang saat ini telah dikenal luas di Jepang, Eropa dan Amerika.Untuk menunjang kinerja beton menjadi tinggi, maka digunakan ukuran agregat kasar yang lebih kecil (maksimum 10 mm) dan untuk mendapatkan workability dan viscositas yang baik dibutuhkan  penambahan aditif.Pada penelitian ini dihasilkan diantaranya pada perubahan ukuran agregat menjadi maksimum 10 mm maka dibutuhkan penambahan semen sebanyak 15%. Untuk penyesuaian komposisi sesuai syarat komposisi  beton SCC maka dibutuhkan penambahan semen menjadi total 22%, serta untuk memenuhi workability yang rendah dibutuhkan penambahan aditif jenis RP260 dan SP430 yang masing – masing 1,5 lt/m3 beton.

Abstract

Land is a part of the most structure as a foundation  that supporting the construction above it. The quality and durability of a construction can’t be separated from the nature of soil, some of them may cause problems.  These problems usually occurred because of the unstable soil condition. The settlement that have done so far is to fix the top layer of the road but it doesn’t solve the problem cause unstable road not only the structure on the road but also on the subgrade. The repair on the soft subgrade  cause water content can be done with stabilization. This research is analyze about behavior of clays  from Soekarno-Hatta Palembang which obtained  the density soil maximum and water content optimum with acid phosphate increment as 0% , 2.5% ,  5% , 7.5% , 10% and 12.5% of the land, and then do testing of index properties soil and California Bearing Ratio (CBR) test. From the research according to Unifed Soil Classification System (USCS) these soil at this area is included in the OH category, while according to American Association of State Highway an Transportation Officials (AASHTO) these soil is included in the A-7-5 category. The mixture soil with increment acid phosphate than original soil are showed that the liquid limid (LL) and plastic limid (PL) has decreased, it’s mean index plastic (IP) tended to decrease. CBR value with increament of additive tend to increase and attain a peak increase from 7.5% while 10% and 12.5 % decrease.

Abstract

Soil material that is very influential in the construction work, as an area of land will not have the same properties with other regions. Most areas in Indonesia, especially the city of Palembang on soft ground. Two main problems in soft soil is a huge drop and land carrying capacity is small. Strong bearing clays is strongly influenced by the water content, which when dry soil conditions have a strong high capacity and soil saturation conditions will have a lower carrying capacity. Large volume changes which can harm the soil so that the buildings need serious treatment. One soil improvement efforts is by using the additive stabilization of solid waste palm kernel. In this study the soil to be stabilized is clay derived from the Tanjung Api-Api, with the addition of the percentage of additive variation of solid waste palm kernel at 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% and 12.5% . The testing performed is testing soil physical properties (water content, grain grading, soil density, hydrometer analysis and Atterberg limits), and testing of mechanical properties of soil ie CBR (California Bearing Ratio). Percentage obtained in the research process LL value (65.19%) PL (34.90%) and IP (30.29%) while the percentage of the value of the fine fraction sieving size <0.075 mm (93.685%), and the size of the coarse fraction .0.075 mm (1.53%). Results of each percentage value according to the classification system USCS (Unified soil classification system) is included in the clay soil classification group OH ie organic clay with high plasticity to moderate. The addition of the additive causes soil properties LL (liquid limit) PL (plastic limit) increases so that IP (plasticity index) increases. The addition of the additive will affect the percentage of the value of the soaked and unsoaked CBR test. CBR value increased 7.5% and the percentage decrease in the percentage of 10% and 12.5%.

Abstract

Some road construction in Indonesia built on expansive clay soil. Strong support is strongly influenced clay water content, in a dry state has a strong support and high in saturated state will have a strong low carrying capacity. Water content will affect the nature of the flower shrinkage and shear strength parameters of soil. Construction of roads built on clay soil often damaged, eg cracked or bumpy roads would be damaged so that road before reaching the age of the plan. To overcome the problems of the clay where the strong supporting affected by water content, one alternative be repaired by means of stabilization. This study analyzes the behavior of clay in the area of Tanjung Api Spinner - fire, get maximum soil density and optimum moisture content with the addition of fly ash (coal) 2.5%, 5%, 7.5%, 10% and 12.5%, then tested in the form of nature - the nature of the soil, the California Bearing Ratio (CBR) and unconfined compression(compressive streng this free). The results, according to the AASHTO classification including group A-7-6. The addition of fly ash will cause the properties of the soil liquid limit (LL) decreased with plastic limit (PL) decreased so that the plasticity index (PI) decreased, then the percentage of grains resulting in the fine fraction decreases with increasing clay gradation. The addition of fly ash will be working actively on the CBR test. It can be concluded that the fly ash work filling and covering the pores - pore soil thereby increasing soil kekedapan to the addition of water and increase soil strengthatsaturationwithoutchangingthephysicalpropertiesofsoil.
