Abstract

This research aim to test the effectivity of Baccilus thuringiensis as larvasida malaria vector in Subdistrict Batu Layar of Regency West Lombok, test to involve in laboratory and also in field. Data yielded by LD (Lethal Dose) 50 and LD 90 to test involve and difference sum up the larva of nopheles sp before and hereafter gift of Baccilus thuringiensis. Result of research test to involve in laboratory, Baccilus thuringiensis efektivity used by larvacide malaria vector with the analysis probit at belief storey level 95% LD 50 0,03 ppm and LD 90 0,069 ppm. Result of research test effectivity in field, Baccilus thuringiensis efektiv used as larvacide malaria vector, with the analysis t test there was difference meaning the larva amount of before and hereafter gift of Baccilus thuringiensis that was t = 0,023.

Abstract

The aim of this studyis to determine thedose of been soursop extract against larvae of Aedes sp killing activity (larvacida) that derived from dengue endemic are asin Mataram with bioas say testingin the laboratory.The research methodused wascompletely randomized experimental design. The samples used wereinstar III oflarvaeAedesspderived from eggsof Aedes sp mosquitoes that were collectedin the homes of residentsin endemic areas dengue feverin the city of Mataram.Results of bioas say testin the laboratory was obtained D56 and LD90 are 0.14 ppm and 0.20 ppm respectively. So that, the been of soursop extract is effective tokill the larvaeof Aedes sp.

Abstract

Introduction: Sub district of Mataram is one of endemic area of Dengue Haemoraghagic Fever in the West of Nusa Tenggara province, the number of dengue cases are reported increasing every years. Pagutan is a village that has been reported as higth case incidance area and Pagutan Timur as low case insidance area.Objectives: The aims of this study is to determine the density of the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes and to know the prevalence and dominant serotypes of dengue virus in the Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from the village of Pagutan and Pagutan Timur Mataram sub district.Methods: The Collection of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes were conducted by ovitrap provided indoor and outdoor of randomly selected houses. The mosquitoes density was determined by calculating the average number of mosquitoes emerged from eggs collected each houses. The prevalence of dengue virus were calculated by the percentage of mosquitoes that containing of dengue virus as examined by immunocytochemistry method, using the monoclonal antibody anti-dengue DSSE10, while dengue virus serotypes determined by Reverse Transcriptase-Polymerase Chain Reaction using Lanciotti specific primers.Results: The density of Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from Pagutan is significantly higher than Pagutan Timur Village (p<0.05). The confirmed statistical analysis with Paired t test were obtained. The prevalence of dengue virus in Pagutan and Pagutan Timur are 18.4% and respectively 14.3%. The serotypes of dengue virus in Pagutan areas is dengue 1, dengue 2 and dengue 3, whereas in Pagutan Timur areas is dengue 1.Conclusion: There is diffences of mosquitoes density, prevalence and the serotypes of dengue virus found in Aedes aegypti mosquitoes from Pagutan and Pagutan Timur in the sub district of Mataram.Keywords: Mosquito density, Aedes aegypti, dengue virus, prevalence and serotype

Abstract

Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Laboratory diagnosis of TB disease can be confirmed by microscopic examination using the Ziehl Neelsen Methode by carbol fuchsin dye with concentration is 0.3% which it is the standard prosedure. to reduce the error rate of performed sputum smear examination  must be carried out by laboratories established in a network of TB laboratory services. This study aims to determine the concentration of carbol fuchsin and time effective storage of performed sputum smear that show 2+ Ziehl Neelsen staining, and analyze the differences of each carbol fuchsin concentration and storage time. This study was an experimental study. The result showed the average number of acid-resistent bacteria with carbol fuchsin concentration  0.3% is as much as 23, the concentration  1% carbol fuchsin is as much as 54  and the concentration  2% carbol fuchsin is as much as 2. Based on the average amount of storage time, Acid-resistent bacteria (BTA) that storage under 1 month (0 mounth) was available as many as 34, storage for 1 month as many as 28 and stored for 2 months as many as 23, whereas stored for 3 months as many as 18. Based on the survey results know that the concentration of carbol fuchsin that provide maximum results for Ziehl Neelson staining is concentrations 1% and the storage time of performed  sputum smear  2+ is not more than 1 month. Results of statistical analysis indicating that there is significant different at each concentration carbol fuchsin and storage time with of  p value  <0.05.

Abstract

Abstract One of the laboratory tests that can be used to diagnose diseases, especially those related to kidney physiology and abnormalities of the body's metabolism, namely urinalysis. Urine sediments are insoluble elements in urine that come from blood, kidneys and urinary tract such as erythrocytes, leukocytes, epithelial cells, thorax, bacteria, crystals, fungi and parasites. Formalin which is commonly used as a urine preservative is 40% formalin, specifically used to preserve urine &nbsp; &nbsp; sediment is very important if you want to conduct a quantitative assessment of the elements in the sediment. However, the formalin in the market only has a formalin with a concentration of 37% so that the concentration of formalin preservatives needs to be lowered. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the concentration of formaldehyde use on the amount and type of urine sediments. different for checking organic and inorganic elements. For the type of urine sediment analyzed descriptively while for the amount analyzed using the One Way Annova test. The results showed variations in the concentration of formalin preservatives 37%, 30%, 20% and 10% did not affect the type and amount of urine sediment. The conclusion of this study is that variations in the concentration of formalin preservatives do not affect the type and amount of urine sediment. &nbsp; Keywords : Formalin,Quantity and type, Sedimen Urine

Abstract

ABSTRACT &nbsp; Cultural social construction “ganjura(an)” for weddings at Canditunggal, Lamongan can be analized through cultural social study. This research aims to discuss and set out the social construct of ganjuran that occurs among Lamongan people especially in&nbsp; Canditunggal. This research uses descritive-explanatory qualitative research method with the social constructive theory by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckman as the society is seen as double facts, objective and subjective. There are three dialectical moments which are externalization, internalization, and objectification. Based on the research it is found that social construct toward ganjuran culture in Canditunggal society, in Lamongan is about the ganjuran culture itself is going to be uphold using the intial method though there are unsignificant changes. Those are a transformation in a gawan that changing the materials of foods into valuable things such as money. &nbsp; Keywords: Social construct, Culture, and Ganjuran

Abstract

Beberapa bahan dapat digunakan untuk menekan larva nyamuk, diantaranya B. thuringiensis yang merupakan mikroba enthopatogenik yang dapat menjadi biolarvasida untuk menekan larva Anopheles sp. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginventarisasi B.thuringiensis dari habitat hidup larva Anopheles sp pada tanaman Eceng gondok di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah (Desa Batujai). Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif observatif dengan analisa data secara deskriftif untuk menentukan terdapat atau tidaknya B. Thuringiensis  setelah diinokulasi pada media.Pertumbuhan bakteri  setelah dilakukan preparasi sampel pada suhu 80°C selama 10 menit, diinkubasi pada suhu 30°C selama 24 jam. Kemudian di lakukan identifikasi/pemeriksaan sampel secara makroskopik dan mikroskopik di dapatkan hasil B.thuringiensis terdapat pada sampel larva. Hasil dari identifikasi ini memiliki ciri-ciri yang sama dengan B.thuringiensis yaitu bentuk koloni bulat, pinggiran yang rata, warna koloni putih krim,  permukaan koloni datar dan halus serta sifat Gram yaitu basil Gram positif dengan endospora terletak di terminal/subterminal, dengan adanya kristal pada bakteri ini yang menandakan bahwa bakteri B.thuringiensis ini bersifat toksin terhadap larva Anopheles sp. Beedasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan inventarisasi Bacillus thuringiensis terdapat pada sampel Larva Anopheles sp pada tanaman Eceng gondok (Eichornia crassipes) di Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Namun tidak terdapat Bacillus thuringiensis pada sampel tanah.

Abstract

Pediculus humanus capitis adalah parasit yang menyebabkan penyakit Pedikulosis kapitis. Parasit yang menghisap darah dan menghabiskan seluruh siklus hidup di manusia. Daun mengkudu dan daun serai mengandung senyawa aktif yang diduga berfungsi sebagai insektisida alami yang dapat membunuh Pediculus humanus capitis. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh sediaan bubuk kombinasi daun serai (C. citrates) dan daun mengkudu (M. citrifolia) sebagai insektisida alami terhadap P. humanus capitis. Metode Penelitan: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi-eksperiment dengan sampel kutu kepala yang diberi bubuk kombinasi daun serai (C. citrates) dan daun mengkudu (M. citrifolia) perbandingan 1: 1, 1: 2, 2: 1 dan aquadest sebagai kontrol. Kematian kutu kepala diamati seama 60 menit. Analisis data menggunakan Kruskal-Wallis dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% (? = 0,05). Hasil penelitian: Hasil persentase menunjukkan kematian kutu kepala pada  perbandingan 1: 1, 1: 2 , 2: 1 adalah 0,00%, 6,25%,15,41%. Kesimpulan: Bubuk kombinasi daun serai (C. citrates) dan daun mengkudu (M. citrifolia) berpengaruh sebagai insektisida alami terhadap P. humanus capitis.

Abstract

Salah satu bakteri penyebab infeksi pada manusia adalah bakteri Staphylococcus aureus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya bakteri Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) pada pasien penderita abses gigi di klinik BPJS Mataram. jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis, adapun pengertian dari metode deskriptif analisis adalah suatu metode yang berfungsi untuk mendeskripsikan atau memberikan gambaran terhadap objek yang diteliti. Berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan pada 10 sampel swab abses pada gigi diperoleh 3 sampel yang disebabkan oleh bakteri Staphylococcus aureus, kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji sensitivitas untuk mengetahui adanya bakteri Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) dengan menggunakan antibiotik Cefoxitin (fox) 30µg diperoleh hasil sensitif antibiotik untuk ketiga sampel. Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah tidak ditemukan bakteri yang resistant terhadap antibiotik Cefoxitin (fox) 30 µg pada pasien penderita abses gigi di klinik gigi BPJS Mataram.

Abstract

Penyakit kecacingan merupakan masalah  kesehatan terbanyak setelah malnutrisi. Kecacingan dapat terjadi pada semua kelompok  umur, Infeksi kecacingan dipengaruhi oleh prilaku dan lingkungan sekitar. Nematoda usus yang sering menginfeksi manusia adalah Nematoda usus golongan Soil Trasmitted Helminthes ini melalui tanah dan tahan akan suhu tropis seperti Indonesia  C.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi Ascaris lumbricoides dan Trichiuris trichiura pada petugas kebersihan pasar Kecamatan Mataram dan Kecamatan Cakranegara. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriftif observasional. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah adalah sampel feses dan jari ? jari tangan petugas kebersihan pasar sebanyak 40 sampek. , pemeriksaan sampel feses menggunakan metode langsung yang menggunakan eosin 1 % dan metode sedimentasi untuk pemeriksaan jari ? jari tangan.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dari 40 sampel di temukan adanya telur cacing pada petugas kebersihan Pasar di Kecamatan Mataram Ascaris lumbricoides dan Trichiuris trichiura 4.16% dan pemeriksaan jari ? jari tangan Ascaris lumbricoides 33.3%, sedangkan pada petugas kebersihan Pasar di Kecamatan Cakranegara  tidak di dapatkan telur cacing  pada pemeriksaan fesesnya dan pemeriksaan jari ? jari tangan yang terdiri dari Ascaris lumbricoides 37.5%, Trichiuris trichiura 12.5%.
