Abstract

Studi ini akan menggambarkan dampak urban sprawl yaitu perkembangan tak terkendalisecara horizontal kearah pinggiran kota terhadap ketidak efisiennya mobilitas yang akanmempengaruhi pemilihan moda transportasi. Urban sprawl berdampak pada tidak effisiennyapengaturan sistem transportasi perkotaan, karena selain tidak tertatanya permukimanakibat kurang kontrolnya pemanfaatan ruang juga terjadinya pengelompokan atauperbedaan strata sosio-ekonomi yang akan berdampak semakin kompleknya permasalahanmobilitas (pergerakan) penduduk. Kondisi demikian akan berpengaruh terhadappemilihan moda transportasi yang berpihak pada pemilihan moda pribadi.Mobilitas merupakan suatu permasalahan transportasi perkotaan yang sangat pelik danperlu penanganan yang serius. Tujuan dari studi ini untuk mengidentifikasi faktorpertumbuhanyang tidak terkendali kearah pinggiran kota dan faktor-faktor yang yangmempengaruhi permasalahan transportasi yaitu pemilihan moda transportasi. Studi inimenggunakan pendekatan spasial (ruang) yaitu suatu pendekatan yang mempelajari hubunganinteraksi antara manusia dan lingkungannya. Untuk itu metode penelitian denganmetode deskriftif kualitatif-kuantitatif yaitu suatu metode dengan teknik wawan-cararumah tangga secara random proposional pada rumah tangga yang berbeda status sosialekonominya pada wilayah yang terkena proses urban. Adapun teknik analisisnya denganmenggunakan Crosstabulation untuk menggambarkan faktor-faktor yang mem-pengaruhiperkembangan kota dan pemilihan moda transportasi. Hasil dari studi ini bertujuanuntuk merekomendasikan penanganan problem transportasi perkotaan padaperkembangan kota-kota menuju kota Metropolitan.AbstractThis study will describe influence of growth of urban uncontrollably toward outside orwhich is often referred as by urban sprawl to moda choce. Growth of town into metropolitanarea need careful because besides affecting social segregasi also cause noteffisient mobility of suburban, because journey become long distance is resident activitystill concentration at downtown (core city) and also the happening of integration of eachtown also will complicate arrangement of urban transportation system. Purpose of thisresearch is to identify factors growth of urban uncontrollably toward outside its influenceurban sprawl to moda choce with a view to recommend handling of problems of transportationat metropolitan area. Result of from this research describe that growth of town toward townboundary of Semarang unegual and its surroundings its speed at some district exist instudy region. As for factors influencing growth of town besides aksessibilitas there issocial factor in the form of change of life style toward requirement of settlement withbalmy environment and requirement of transportation. Result of from this study is]expected useful for the day-dream of problems of urban transportation by integratingbetween operation of policy of settlement of settlement environment and policy ofoperation of transportation system at natural towns of metropolitan area.

Abstract

Public Transport is one of the solutions to resolve the traffic in urban area, particularly in Semarang City. Therefore, Semarang City Government provided the public transports in the form of Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) Corridor I (the route of Mangkang ? Penggaron) and Corridor II (the route of Ungaran ? Terboyo Bus Station). According to the service performance evaluation to BRT Corridor I by Adyan and Salman in 2012, it was found that the Load Factor was 44,73%, and it did not meet the standard of PP.No.41/1993 and SK. Dirjen no.687 stating that the minimum load factor is 70%. Though the service provided was better than other public transportation. Therefore, an evaluation is required to the service performance on BRT Corridor II to determine whether BRT corridor II has the same problem as BRT Corridor I and how the solution to be used as a reference to the next corridor. This research applied the methodology of Dynamic Survey on BRT, Static Survey, Origin Destination Survey and Home Base Survey. Based on the survey and analysis results, it was obtained that the Load Factor by 23.51% is below the standard. In conclusion, the service performance of BRT Corridor I and BRT Corridor II was experiencing the same problem from the aspect of efficiency and effectiveness which is in accordance with the applicable standards but it was found in the field that the load factor was less than 70%. Based on the Home Base Survey, the non-users who are around BRT Route suggested that the manager should be more intensive in socializing BRT to communities and pay attention on the punctuality of BRT travel time. There are still a lot of transport other than BRT operating on the same route, which also resulted in a lack of BRT Load Factor because people tend to choose the transport that can stop anywhere, and it is in contrary with the purpose of the Public Transport. The researcher suggested that BRT and public transports other than BRT are under one management in terms of all the transportations stop in the shelters and have the same service standard. According to survey and analysis, Route from Ungaran to Pemuda and Raden Patah to Ungaran use BRT, whereasPemuda to Terboyo and Terboyo to Raden Patah use feeder transport in other to minimalize cost and make time around become quick, and according to analysis load factor from corridor I and II, prove BRT not too effective presents in Semarang City.

Abstract

Based on WHO research in 2010 shows growth of motorcycles in Indonesia reached 60 million units with proportion of 83% compared to other vehicle types (Helmi, 2015). Motorcycles are the smallest vehicle that has the mobility and maneuverability of high movement. At the time of the green phase, motorcycles struggling to get out from the intersection and continue the journey. The movement of motorcycle can cause conflict with the car or with other motorcycles. Studies conducted by M. Idris in Bandung in 2007 produced Advanced Stop Lines (ASL) for motorcycles can reduce traffic conflicts up to 72% and 11-12% streamlined of traffic flow (Faundra, 2012). The purpose of this research was to analyze the effectiveness of the Advanced Stop Lines (ASL) for motorcycles at the intersection with different characteristics in Semarang. The parameters used in this research are existing conditions, real conditions, the percentage of occupancy ASL, and hypothesis testing comparison. The research method is done by simulating ASL in three arms at signalized intersections in Semarang. Hypothesis test comparison is done by using the hypothesis H0 if the volume of vehicles before they are applied equally to the post applied ASL. The results of this study can be concluded that based on the hypothesis test comparison there is only one research location hypothesis is accepted. ASL for three research locations affect the number of vehicle volume, long queues, and Degree of Saturation. ASL has not seen optimal of the three research locations. It because of geometry conditions are different on three research location , improper lane width, the existence of the island roads, and a left turn on red lane. To be more optimal use of ASL should refers to the rules applicable at the selection of sites that will be imposed ASL.

Abstract

Developing facilities and infrastructures on the highway in the form of planning, operational designing, and research need the value of Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) is a very important factor, necessary survey traffic volume for one year by a collector's gate toll, (365 days) will be a need of time and cost, so, to predict AADT is used data traffic of previous year.Secondary data obtained from the permanent counter PT. Jasamarga (Persero). Tbk Semarang AADT 2013 and 2014 at the toll gate section A (Manyaran-Jatingaleh), section B (Jatingaleh-Tembalang), and section C (Jatingaleh-Muktiharjo) Data Analysed good for obtaining characteristic and to predict value AADT with expansion factor. Based on analysis the characteristic at Semarang tollway, hourly traffic pattern increasing at busy hours and single peak hour 6% from ADT. Daily traffic pattern increasing active day around 12-16% and decreasing at weekend around 4% and the annual traffic pattern of urban variation behavior with different needs of individual route in mobility and the value of hourly expansion factor for section A 16,98-52,44,section B 15,99-76,46 and section C 16,21-69,44, daily expansion factor section A 6,63-7,95, section B 3,75-4,21 and section C 6,61-7,97 ,monthly expansion factor section A 0,83-1,081,section B 0,55-1,18 and section C 0,82-1,068 with confidence level 68,7%. applicable to next year AADT predictions.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Perkembangan wilayah Tembalang, baik di kecamatan Banyumanik dan kecamatan Tembalang, tumbuh dengan pesat. Perkembangan yang tidak didukung dengan fasilitas sarana maupun prasarana yang ada menyebabkan kemacetan kawasan Tembalang. Untuk itu, dilakukan evaluasi untuk mengetahui kinerja jalan Prof. Soedarto, SH, dengan perhitungan derajat kejenuhan berdasar survey LHR. Lalu dilakukan evaluasi terhadap kondisi eksisting angkutan umum saat ini, dari segi kinerja trayek, sarana dan prasarana. Kemudian dilakukan survei kuisioner dan wawancara pada masyarakat yang bermukim di sekitar jalan Prof. Soedarto, SH secara random sampling untuk melihat perilaku pergerakan dan pendapat masyarakat. Variable yang digunakan yaitu kondisi sarana dan prasarana, tingkat kenyamanan, sistem operasional, pola pergerakan, kriteria transportasi umum yang diinginkan. Dari hasil tersebut direncanakan sistem feeder yang sesuai untuk jalan Prof. Soedarto, SH, Tembalang. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan pada ruas persimpangan Setiabudi ? persimpangan SPBU Undip memiliki derajat kejenuhan ? 0,75 sehingga perlu dilakukan penanganan. Sistem feeder yang direncanakan adalah jalur pedestrian yang menghubungkan dengan angkutan feeder dan BRT, Rute trayek baru angkutan utama dan ranting yang melewati jalan Prof. Soedarto, SH, mengacu pada Perda no.14 tahun 2011 tentang RTRW kota Semarang. Kata Kunci : sistem feeder, kemacetan, kinerja jalan, sustainableABSTRACT Development of the Tembalang region, both on Banyumanik or Tembalang Sub-district, is grow rapidly. Therefor, evaluation is needed to determine performance of Prof. Soedato, SH, Street by calculating degree of saturation that based on traffic survey. Then, evaluation of existing condition of public transportation at present, in term of route performance, facilities and infrastructure. Then conducted a questionnaire and interview survey in people who lived around of Prof. Soedarto, SH. street by random sampling to know how about people behaviour on trip and opinion. Variable used are facilities and infrastructure condition, level of ease, operational system, trip pattern, desired criteria for public transportation. From that result, designed suitable feeder system for Prof. Soedarto, SH. Street. Evaluation result show that segment Setiabudi intersection ? Undip Gas Station intersection has degree saturation value ? 0,75, so that its necessary treatment. Feeder system which designed is pedestrian track that would be connected with feeder transport or bus rapid transit, The main dan branch of new routes of transportation, which pass through Prof. Soedarto, SH. Abstract

Tourism is a sector that can potentially be developed to finance local expenditure. Especially Semarang City Government, actively prosecuted in tourism development with the potential to manage objects in the city of Semarang. Old City is one of the attractions that are less optimized, so that the East Canal Flood Basin Development Semarang can increase tourism demand in the Old City is the transport stream that is integrated with the shuttle bus in the Old City. The purpose of this study was to analyze the East Flood Canal apart as if the flood control can also be used as the transport stream as the water tourist destination in the city of Semarang. Methodology used in the study of development of River Flood Canal Tmur Semarang As river transport to destination covering methods of qualitative and quantitative methods. Qualitative method with a questionnaire to determine the potential demand in the Old Town, while the quantitative method with HEC-RAS program to analyze hydrological and determine discharge plans. Ouput obtained from this study is the use of river tourism speedboat 8 m 2 open with 8 m long, 2.2 m wide and 0.4 m draft and is integrated with the shuttle bus pick-up two levels. Ship Operating Costs amounted to Rp 1,052,717,443,-/year for a fee ranging from investments to cost management and management with 8 times the trip in one day. Rates are charged per passenger Rp 18 208, - for a one-way trip.

Abstract

Nowadays the progress of Semarang city is getting rapid, many shop centers rises in golden triangle areas, that are (St. Gajah Mada, St. Pemuda and St. Pandanaran). Most of people use their car or motorbike to do their activities through those streets. This condition caused the higher mobility each year and makes parking lots become important thing in transportation system. The problems about parking lots is important to research. The necessary of parking lot should be available. The bigger traffic volume makes bigger necessary of parking lot. If it does not enough, cars may take the spaces beside of road to park, and this caused some disruptions to others. This research will analyze the effects of traffic of Gumaya Tower Hotel which located at Gajah Mada street number 59-61 Semarang. Maximum accumulation method and queue theory are used in this research. Prymary data which necessary such as amount of car, time-parking, and service system. Whereas for secondary data to analyze traffic growth is car ownership data in semarang.  The conclusion of this research is that effect of traffic  in gumaya tower hotel area caused by the entrace and exit of hotel that not really good so can offend people who use gajah mada street.

Abstract

The results of the performance evaluation BST corridor I obtained some indicators that meet the standards of the Department of Transportation and the World Bank that headway, speed, travel time on Saturday and Sunday, as well as most of the distance between the shelter, while the load factor is still below the standard which is still less than 70 %. Load factor due to non-fulfillment by the results of the questionnaires are reluctant to switch to using BST for several reasons including watu waiting periods, the route less BST, BST facilities are lacking, long travel times BST, is also proved from the results of the survey where the travel time for the day Monday more than 3 hours. Despite the low load factor based on the analysis of vehicle operating costs BST rate applicable experience keutungan that will be able to meet the operational costs of vehicles. With the results of the analysis did not meet the standard, it can be improved by adding corridors that intersect with the corridor so that the people I want to switch to using BST as it has many routes. Making other transport as feeder so that the corridor I just BST operate and can facilitate people to the shelter BST which will be raising load factor.Contra flow system on the road Slamet Riyadi tracking and bus priority at junctions can shorten travel times BST faster. With that expected performance can be optimized BST serve passengers and non-users can switch to using a BST as a mode of daily transportation.

Abstract

On street parking is parking which take place along of street. This parking gives a negative impact for traffic flow, because it can reduce width of road. The purpose of this study was to compare the on-street parking on one lane in Jalan KH. Agus Salim with median and Jalan Pandanaran without median toward the performance of the road, as well as provide an alternative parking management. Analysis of the data used is simulation method of flow theory based on Greenshields, Greenberg, and Underwood models. The largest value of the correlation coefficient (R) among the three models is taken to determine the model used. Based on the results of the simulation can be compared to the smooth flow of traffic in the presence of on-street parking on the road with median and the road without median.The analysis showed that the model of Greenberg is a model that best fits the characteristics of KH. Agus Salim and Pandanaran Street. The results of simulation analysis parking angle configuration at Jalan KH. Agus Salim on Thursday showed the DS of 0,231, 0,472, 0,223 respectively for the parking configuration 0°, 90°, without parking, while Saturday at 0,303, 0,619, 0,292 for the same parking configuration. These results indicate that the parking angle 0°, 90°, and no parking on the street with median provide good performance when viewed from the value of the DS which took on Thursday and Saturday. Value of DS at Pandanaran street as a result of on-street parking on Thursday and Saturday respectively 0,879, 1,981, 0,841 and 0,903, 2,035, 0,864 for the configuration of the parking angle 0°, 90°, and without parking. The simulation results indicate that without parking on Pandanaran street is the best solution, so that the comfort and safety in road traffic can be achieved. Alternative parking management given that, KH. Agus Salim use the parking angle of 0° to keep the facility u-turn, or use the parking angle of 30° but the u-turn facility closes. Jalan Pandanaran using angle of 0° and rotate prohibition direction, or providing off street parking in the surrounding area of Pandanaran and provide facilities vehicle turning direction. This research just analyze road performance on one lane, so that further research can be do for analyze on-street parking on two lanes in each of the road.
