Abstract

At present the power plant has a high dependence on energy sources such as diesel, natural gas and coal, while its energy source in nature is increasingly scarce, this situation encourages the development of renewable energy, one of which is in micro hydro power plants. This study aims to determine the effect of the width of the work triangle on the highest rpm produced. the fall of water on the pinwheel is set from the position angle of the nozzle 00, 150, 300, 450, 600, 750 and from the angle of the nozzle 00, 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 on the semicircular blade turbine, triangle blade turbine , and fin blade turbines. Semicircular turbine blade, working triangle area produces greater rpm at position of angle nozzle 00 and angle of nozzle 250 with area of work triangle 360,36 cm2, where the position produces 216 rpm at windmill rotation and 1626 rpm at generator rotation. When the nozzle position angle 150 and the nozzle angle 200 with the working triangle area 264.27 cm2, produce 221 rpm at the pinwheel rotation and 1711 rpm at the generator rotation. while at the nozzle position angle of 300 and the angle of the nozzle 100 the area of the triangle works 134.37 cm2 and produces 173 rpm at the spinning wheel and 1307 rpm at the generator rotation. on the triangle blade turbine and fin blade, the working triangle area does not affect the rpm produced.

Abstract

Abstract — Cars are a transportation mode that is widely used in society. Every year in Indonesia and other countries experience a continuous increase in the number of cars. The intensity of cars especially in parking areas often become a challenge for drivers to park cars and increases the risk of a crash. This research aims to design and build a distance sensor device that helps to park cars based on Arduino Uno microcontroller which is hoped to help decrease the risk of cars crashing to another car or object. This device will will produce three types of input that will inform the driver on the distance detected, between the car and another object. The first output is in text form displayed on an LCD screen, then the second output is a buzz produced by a buzzer and the third output is produced by a speaker which produces sound of audio recordings voicing the distance detected by the sensor.

Abstract

Presence of lectures is an important factors to take the final exam. It is necessary to have a presence system with computer vision technology that is capable to handling problems manually. Computer vision technology used is face detection and recognition in order to monitor attendance data system. The face detection process in this study uses the Viola-Jones algorithm, and this algorithm has four stages, namely Haar Like Feature, Integral Image, Adaboost learning and Cascade classifier. The results of this study Viola-Jones algorithm successfully applied to the face detection process and in the face recognition process using the KNN (K-Nearest Neighbor) method with an accuracy rate of 94.79%.

Abstract

The Microhydro Power Plant (MHP) is a small-scale power plant that uses hydropower. The most important component in a microhydro power plant is a turbine. The turbine used in this MHP model is the Archimedes screw turbine. In this research will discuss about the effect of water pressure on the rotation produced by Archimedes screw turbine so that it can be seen voltage, current, generated power by generator, torque and efficiency in modeling of MHP. Changes in water pressure given at 4 psi, 8 psi, 12 psi, 16 psi, 20 psi, and 24 psi. The highest measurement results are obtained at 24 psi water pressure, where the voltage, current, and generator output power is 85.8 Volt, 0.1963 Ampere and 16.85 Watt. For the rotation speed of the generator at 24 psi pressure is equal to 4582 rpm, while the speed of turbine rotation produced at 24 psi this pressure is equal to 383 rpm before coupled with generator and 222 rpm after coupled with generator. The torque and efficiency produced at 24 psi pressure are 0.73 Nm and 18.1%.

Abstract

Potensi alam yang ada memang sangat memungkinkan bisa dimanfaatkan sebagai salah satu usaha untukmengatasi masalah kemiskinan. Dengan memanfaatkan energi terbarukan, sebagai upaya untuk mengurangiketergantungan pada energi fosil. Keterbatasan sumber energi dari minyak bumi membuat usaha untuk mencarisumber energi terbarukan yang ramah lingkungan dan murah. Ekonomi masyarakat pedesaan selama ini merupakanmasalah pemerintah yang tidak kunjung selesai, karena kemiskinan dan pendapatan perkapita masyarakat yangrendah dan derajat pendidikan yang relatif rendah menambah semakin sulitnya masyarakat pedesaan untuk maju danberkembang disamping akses jalan yang menjadi masalah.Dengan memanfaatkan aliran air yang mengalir pada sungai kecil / Pangkung sebagai pembangkit tenaga listrikakan sangat membantu masyarakat setempat dalam mendapatkan Listrik secara swadaya.Dengan metode Vertexdengan sumbu axial, sangat memungkinkan mengingat potensi alam yang sangat mendukung. Energi listrik yangbersumber dari Air merupakan sumber energi yang murah, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk penerangan rumah tanggamasyaarakat dimalam hari khususnya di Dusun Gambuk, Kecamatan Pupuan, Kabupaten Tabanan Bali yangselama ini memanfaatkan minyak tanah dengan harga yang relatif mahal.Dengan memanfaatkan potensi lingkungan yang ada berupa aliran kali (pangkung) sebagai pembangkit listriksederhana dengan kapasitas kecil. Abstract

Micro-Hidro power plant (PLTMH) is one of the alternative sources of power plant that use renewable energy in the form of water. This study analyzes the influence of change in water discharge and the water pressure against the torque, voltage, and the resulting electric current from generator. The result of the analysis on the changes of water discharge as well as changes in water pressure at the angle of the nozzle position 650 and variation of nozzle 50 ; 650, the highest measurement result obtained on a half-circle vanes. On testing the changes of water discharge or water pressure, output voltage and the output current of the generator which is obtained on the half-circle vanes with the position of the nozzle 650 i.e. of 1,994 Volt and 0,332 Ampere on changes of water discharge, as well as 1,326 Volt and 0,265 Ampere on changes of water pressure. Highest torque value is present on the vanes fins with nozzle variation 50 ; 650 namely 0.0159 Nm on the changes of water discharge and 0.0122 Nm on the changes of water pressure.

Abstract

One implementation of the Internet of Things (IoT) conducted in this study to realize the system of monitoring and control of electrical energy usage-based Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). This research method is the design of wireless sensor nodes that can measure the electrical parameters of alternating current (AC) as effective voltage, effective current, active power, apparent power, power factor and total electrical energy consumption by using modules ESP8266 as a liaison with a Wi-Fi. Calculation of electrical parameters obtained from ATmega328P microcontroller ADC readings of a step-down transformer that is used as a voltage sensor and sensor SCT013 used as AC current sensors will be transmitted to the server over the network from a Wi-Fi Access Point (AP). ESP8266 modules are programmed using AT-Command proven to reliably measure can transmit data simultaneously with serial data format of the wireless sensor node to a server using TCP / IP protocol. Monitoring power consumption via the internet which are designed in the research, either through the Android application and web browser proven to be reliably able to show some electrical parameters with the same data than the data logger recaps taken from SD-Card installed in the wireless sensor node.

Abstract

Abstract — Air merupakan salah satu sumber energi yang potesinnya besar dan tersebar di seluruh wilayah Indonesia. Masalah utama dari pembangkit tenaga air adalah debit air yang mengalir tidak kontinyu sepanjang tahun. Karakteristik lokasi masing-masing penempatan mikro hidro adalah unik. Sebuah mikro hidro yang ditempatkan pada lokasi tertentu diperlukan turbin yang sesuai dengan karakteristik lokasi yang ada. Dalam penelitian ini dirancang turbin untuk mendapatkan turbin model Nest-Lie jenis baru yang mengakomodir semua parameter lokasi yang ada. Metode yang dilakukan adalah (1). Memanfaatkan data lokasi untuk isiaiasi desain awal, (2). menemukan model matematis turbin, (3). membuat prototipe model untuk diuji di laboratorium, (4). Membuat model turbin yang sebenarnya untuk ujicoba lapangan. Hasil yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah RPM pada roda turbin Nest-Lie menghasilkan perbedaan yang sangat signifikan, dengan tekanan pada 28 Psi yang terbaca pada menghasilkan RPM berkisar antara 157,2 -231,1 dimana sudut posisi untuk 0o. 5o, 10o, 15o. RPM tertinggi untuk sudut posisi 0o dan dengan pada sudut nozzle 22,5o. dan Sudut nozzle yang menghasilkan RPM tertinggi adalah pada sudut 22,5-25,5 dengan sudut posisi 0o-5o. Tekanan yang dihasilkan pada saluran nozzle bukan merupakan penjumlahan dari tekanan masing-masing, hanya terjadi peningkatan sebesar 27%. Dan RPM mengalami peningkatan sebesar 20%. Abstract

Along with technological developments, implementing network computers can use network simulators. The use of network simulators that are often used, one of which is the Graphical User Interface (GUI) and the operating system provided by the user because the operating system used comes from the original operating system of the network device. Rapid development of data needs encourages people to exchange information with one another through one network. Data communication is done through sending data packets between networks based on internet protocol (IP) addresses. IP is divided into two, namely IPV4 and IPV6 in the process of sending data assisted by a router. In this study, the analyst will focus on routing protocol performance using IPV6 by paying attention to several parameters such as delay, packet loss, throughput and conversion time. Based on the results of the study, OSPF is better than EIGRP in the value of delay and throughput, which is 2- 15%. EIGRP is better when the connection is down, which is 45 - 52%. EIGRP has a faster convergence time than OSPF which is 2 - 6 seconds while OSPF is 8-10 seconds.
